Went in with my husband, his daughter and his new son-in-law. We were spending one last evening with them before heading home after spending the week celebrating their marriage. We received awesome service, wish I had gotten the waitress name. (We were there about 2 hours before closing on Friday, Sept 4 and there were 2 waitresses, a blond and a brunette, our waitress was the brunette.) We all ordered cheeseburgers, medium, and we ordered 2 orders of fries & 2 of onion rings. Our burgers arrived fairly quickly and were delicious, the fries and onion rings however took forever. We actually saw tables that ordered AFTER we received our burgers receive their complete orders, including fries. My step-daughter went to the counter to inquire and was treated very rudely by the guy that was cooking. He told her that it all depended on the number of items we ordered and how we ordered our burgers, but of course refused to address the fact that the other table received their complete order. We finally received our fries & onion rings 10-15 minutes after we had all finished our burgers. Hopefully management can identify the rude cook from the information and address the problem with him.

Burger is a great melt of goodness, it honestly reminds me of the simple McDonalds dollar menu burger. The flavor is there, however this burger has a more substantial, satisfying patty.Fries arent great. Very few draft beer selections. Okay service. Overall I like the atmosphere other places more. Plus I forgot to bring cash! Prices are very affordable.

Classic ole school bar food that captures great burgers, shoe string fries & onions in a time capsule for all to enjoy. My sister and brother-in-law took me there after 25 years since their last visit...and nothings changed including the honor system when you pay at the bar before you leave!

If they had a drive thru they wouldnt be able to keep up! It might look 👀 like no one is there off the road but boy do you see it when you get in! Try everything! Even the grilled cheese is to die for! A couple who I thanked before I left has been coming there since 1973! They suggested the tuna sandwich, maybe for next time because the burger itself was so filling. You wont be disappointed and dont forget cash. no debit or credit. Pay at the bar before you leave. Staff was so friendly especially when we walked in 20mins to closing time, which is 7pm. I will for sure be there earlier so I could enjoy the atmosphere a little more.

Millers Bar has been a mainstay in Dearborn for decades. Millers Burgers are legendary and they are still juicy and delicious. Cheese or no cheese and two toppings only. Pickle and onion cuz thats all you need. For the food alone, I would give 5 stars. Unfortunately, you cant ignore how pricey theyve become. I got a cheeseburger, fries and a can of coke. $15.50. Seriously? If you leave a tip your talking $17-18 for a burger meal with no drink refills. Thats atrocious!

Excellent, same as I remembered from 35 years ago! Simple - Burgers and fries and onion rings. Ketchup, mustard, pickles and onions. Pickles and onions in separate baggies instead of the tray of toppings they used to serve to each table. Very clean place, and tables and bar seats are set up for distancing as necessary. Staff was fast and friendly!

Arrived on a Monday night. Millers wasnt that busy but thats ok by me. There were 1 couple that came in before us. We sat & we waited. Then 2 more couples came. The 1st couple put their order in. Then, the 3rd couple put in their order & we were told they would be right with us. The 4th couple got their drinks.We left. I would give no stars, but they dont allow it.

Im super disappointed I dont have a picture of this place but honestly probably one of the best burgers in the country...been reviewed by everybody under the sun. Anyway still works the honor system limited choices, hamburger cheeseburger, baked beans, fish during Lent and thats about it.... Oh and fries or onion rings thats your choices. If youre in the Dearborn area you most definitely should stop by and visit

I was told that this place serves the best burgers in Detroit so I had to check it out. I was so happy that I did. It is charming with a classic diner feel. We sat at the bar near the grill so we watched the cook. She was an artist. The bar was unique and seemed to be a 30s or 40s art deco style. My burger was delicious. They serve a generous slice of onion if requested. The fries were also very good. They offer several draft beer selections. Make sure you go with some cash in your pocket, they dont accept credit cards. Ill definitely be going back.

Just spent $39.00 on three burgers and three fries plus a $6.00 tip on a to go order .Unfortunately the burgers and french fries where both from frozen meat and French fries. Very unhappy for your money your better off at five guys burgers and fries. At lest you get fresh food not frozen. Anyone can make frozen food. This is by far the best burger you can have. Just so you know you can only order your burger 2 ways with or without cheese. Now on the side you can get ketchup mustard onions and pickles but this burger needs nothing. The meat is like nothing I have ever had in a burger just an amazing flavor or goodness.

Was in Detroit for a quick trip and asked my buddies who grew up here the single best place to visit if you had little time. Millers Bar came up immediately and I am super happy we had extra time to check it out. The burger was perfectly medium with lots of pink and very jucy, tasted like a burger my Dad would make when I was a kid.Burgers come with cheese only, can add pickles on table and ask for a raw onion on the side.Cash only, so come prepared! ATM on site if needed.Highly recommended if you in the area - not only from me but from people I know who grew up here!

Good Burgers, Nice Ambience, BUT BRING CASH! Their burgers come in their own style (no lettuce) and are limited in toppings. But if like what they make, youll love their food (I liked it). The ambience is nice. But not being able to pay by debit card or credit card is sooooo 90s. Prices were fair - not economical, but not excessive - especially given the SIZE of their burgers.

Not as impressed as I thought I would be. Not as iconic either. Quick food, but not a great value for preformed burger patties. Clean and nice enough inside, but not a place I would go out of my way again for.

After a long respite following retirement, Millers is not what it used to be. The hamburger was not as tasty as it once was. And the price makes eating there a bad value. A cheeseburger, fries, and two beers was $25.00, with a tip its $30.00. I wont be coming back.

As a lifetime east sider I first found Millers in 2005.(thanks Drew and Mike) and made many trips there until 2008 when I took a job on the border is Az. Millers bar was one of the many things I missed about Michigan. I travel home 2/3 times a yr and a stop for a burger is a must. I have read people that complain about the price. If you want quality you pay for quality. You want cheap go to McDonalds. As for those that are saying its frozen beef, if you would watch them drop the beef on the grill you would see its fresh beef. Millers is a great place and I will happily continue to spend my money there when ever I come home.

Very simple but truly excellent hamburgers and Miller beer. There is no great variety on the burgers. They come in one size, no alternate varieties, no grilled toppings, just a really good 1/2 lb. hamburger cooked to order. The one option they offer is cheese and the answer is either yes or no, not Swiss or Jack - American, take it or leave it. Toppings are at the tables: mustard, ketchup, pickles, raw onion slices (sliced and delivered with the burgers), salt and pepper. The burgers arent even served on plates, just a piece of deli paper. They do offer fries and onion rings. Vintage mid 70s windowless decor. The bar is beautiful, well preserved and original from the 1940s.

First time dining in at Millers Bar! Our burgers could Moo back at us, even though we asked for them cooked medium, I am talking blood soaked bottom bun, blood dripping all over the tiny bit of paper they give you to eat off of, needless to say, there were tons of napkins needed. It was rather disappointing, I had kinda built the place up for my hubby and told him how great they were. NOW, before anyone says, just tell the waitress, WE WOULD HAVE!, but she was too busy talking down the place rather loudly with one of her regulars and how she had been there the longest of any of the waitresses and how dare they give the other waitresses Friday night and give her a (bleep) TUESDAY! There were some names mentioned and how they didnt deserve it but, you know,what are you gonna do? Then as you were walking away you said...I mean come on I HAVE been here the longest!Well sweetheart, I can give several reasons, but number one is ATTITUDE! Number two is when someone new walks into your place, make them feel welcome, you only offer US and the other new couple that came in after us sodas! Coke, diet Coke, Vernors, Diet Vernors, and you were very blunt about it! Now I did notice that when your regulars came in you explicitly told them what you had on tap! My husband and I found that odd, very odd, why would you not offer a beer to go with a burger to two people in their sixties? Now the other couple, sure they might have been young, but I dont even think they were that young! Number three, neither my husband I are deaf! But you might be hard of hearing! You were talking about us to your cook loud enough for me to hear EXACTLY every word that you said, including the part where you said, I DONT CARE! Well that was obvious! So, neither did we, when we left without leaving you our normal 25% tip! But we did care when we got a prompt to write this review, wonder if you thought about that, wonder what your co-workers will think when they read this and figure out who you are and what you really think of them! Hey I was just the innocent customer, who was served the raw burger, that you saw was barely eaten, and you were just the waitress standing there on a Tuesday evening at almost 6pm, claiming that you couldnt wait for the night to be over! Coming from Chicago we have some of the best burgers. I can definitely say this was a great burger. It was so yummy and juicy and prepared perfectly. I typically have my Burgers wrapped in lettuce but not here. You must try it with the bun. The onion rings were out of this world as well

Millers is the perfect example of how less is truly more. Everything here is so simple that its actually amazing in its own way. No plates, only cellophane paper. Nothing in the way of toppings. Its no frills, just quality. The service has always been great and the prices are actually pretty good. Its cash-only and based on the honor system. To me, its the best burger around. While the picture doesnt look like much, the burger is tasty and worth every penny.

They have their way of doing things. No menu. Burger with cheese or without cheese. You add your own pickles and onions.. Everything is on the honor system. You tell them what you are and drank and they give you the total. No tab! It was fun.

Millers has since remodeled updated the bathrooms and even cleaned up their looong bar counter, it looks awesome! Heres the low down on the 75yr establishment that still runs on the honour system but more on that later...walk in, take a seat, waitress ask whatll you have? Now here you could ask for a menu but whats the use....youre here for Burgers! Only options here is one patty or two, cheese or no, and doness (rare, medium, or well), fries or onion rings, and what are ya drinking? My suggestion if youre REALLY hungry two patties(this is almost a pound of meat!) if not stick to one, cheese, shoestring fries and your choice of drink (me personally Titos & Cranberry, we are in a Bar!) It arrives! No plates, jus wax paper, a big slice of onion, and pickles, ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper on the table, THATS IT! You get the real feel of an ole fashion burger and the meat is king here never frozen always juicey and thankfully never changes! Thank you Millers for your consistency alone! Now, youre ready to leave, right? Dont wave the waitress down, you walk up to the bar, Bartender will ask what did you have? Best burger in Detroit in my opinion. Its very informal. Food comes on a paper and fries come in a basket. The burger is cooked perfectly to order and its almost guaranteed to blow you away.

Update - Since COVID they have had to reinvent. We have gotten carry out a couple times the past few months and each time everything was fantastic. Fries are a little soggy by the time you get home but that is to be expected.

Just visited for my 1st time...Really really cool local spot. They just have burgers fries and onion rings and not much else but its really good bar food. The vibe is really laid back and everyone is friendly....and they have been doing a really nice job with Covid precautions. The management/ownership is clearly attentive, and on top of everything whether its covid related or not.

Rude this is the rudest bunch of people I’ve ever see running a restaurant. They were rude from the minute we went in the door to when we sat down. We didn’t even order. We left after the waitress got mad at us because we didn’t want to jam 8 people at a table only able to set 6. Oh and you better have a mask or they will get downright nasty with you. Will never go back ever.Seeing as I can not respond to the owners comments we were not told several times to put out masks on my son went out and got his mask. Also you could accommodate us at a larger table but you wait staff clearly didn’t want us there. She said what if a larger party comes in. Well. Party of 8 left and none of us well ever eat at you establishment. Actually I’m glad you did respond. People can see your arrogance in you comments.

Went here a few weeks back for lunch. Ordered 2 Burgers, a small fry and a water. Only would give me bottled and charged me for it. Who refuses to give out tap for free. Surprised its even legal. Burgers were ok nothing special, ordered medium, got closer to rare not a big deal. Final bill came to over $22. What a ripoff! Overpriced for an average burger at best. Will not return.
