Cant give it a zero. They still havent given us our van 3 plus hours. Wanted to be fair when we did get the van 3 plus hours after the appointed time. It was supposed to be clean. My daughter found a soda bottle with chew spit in it.The car was what we needed after 3 plus hours of waiting. They gave us $50.00 on next rental for all our troubles. I hope it works when we go to use it.The woman at the desk did her best. Sounded lile someone dropped the ball.

One star is literally a gift... Do not use this place unless your looking for nothing but troubles with your trip. I booked a car in February for my week long trip to Daytona last week. I walk up to the Hertz counter as the Dollar didnt have an employee to assist. I wasnt aware that when I booked the car that I would not be allowed to add my spouse on as a driver. I have severe anxiety/panic attacks and didnt want to drive in a place that I didnt know. The attendant was straight out rude (male gender). Literally would not listen to me and finally my husband could see and hear that I was getting upset and told me to calm down that he would drive as our car insurance is covering the car. The attendant then looks at me and says.... Your not getting a car. Straight out... When I say Ive already paid for the vehicle his response was that he would send the sheriff over to get me. We ended up having to get a taxi and it cost me extra because of his rude a**.. My question is why would he make me be the driver and not let my spouse drive if I explained to him that it would be much safer for everyone? He was straight out rude and tried to destroy our vacation. After calling several times explaining that I wasnt going away and that this would go on and on until I saw resolution - they refunded my money. Dont rent from this company or from Hertz as they talk to customers like they are dirt and think theyre the sheriff of vehicles... It was a good try on their part but luckily I contacted Enterprise and they gave me a discounted price due to what happened to me and my husband was able to drive. THANKS ENTERPRISE... Youre the BEST and you will always have my business. Dollar and Hertz hire incompetent/rude individuals and they lost my business for life. ZERO STARS.

From July 5th I flew from Orlando and Nashville. I paid for my rent a car in advance but I still had to wait on line for 1 1/2 hours to get my car in Nashville.During that same trip I was overcharged $60.00. perhaps my fault but twice because I felt I put in from 7/5 to 7/14 the agent who took 45 min to get on the phone said I put in AM instead of PM. on the reservation. The only way I can see that happening was if it was put on as a 24 hour clock. and thought it was AM AND PM. in any case I wanted to talk to a supervisor of course a supervisor is never around. twice the Supervisor never called me. As a note at Nashville Airport they say just drop off the car walk to your flight in other words you dont check out. They check out for you. I didnt feel good about it but I took pictures of mileage and the condition. I mean am I supposed to trust these people who work for $10.00 per hour? Well after passing the front booth I saw my famous line again I said to myself just go to your flight. Well I was wrong because I would of caught this error and perhaps it would of been corrected but now I have to wait an hour to get the agent on the phone and a supervisor refuses to call.I hate this company. They really dont care about you and lie.. But they got you by the balls. Hertz owns all the rental companies that are in the airport. It will never happen but I hope one day this company goes out of business and I wish the CEOs and managers bad health thanks you creeps.

HEADS UP!! They have changed their rental policy for debit cards making it less convenient to rent with a debit card and now require return airline tickets for airport locations with a 500 dollar deposit on top of doing a credit check.

The Grand Junction, Co location is excellent! The agent was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I received a free upgrade. The agent made certain I had all the information I needed. He took his time and made certain I was comfortable.

So far my experience has been great. Would be 5 stars but had to wait 8 minutes for an attendant to show up after a long day of traveling. Sign was up but not fun for a day that wasnt even quite over.

I rented a car last week and returned today to exchange the car because it needs a front end alignment and add a driver. I added the driver and she I asked her if there was any cost associated to that she said yes 13. Day. Me and my friend immediate asked her to remove the extra driver because we did not realize the cost. She said she couldn’t change it or void it. I had 21 days left on the rental. She total me she couldn’t void it and we never left the counter. And she had no cars to exchange for me. So I’m charged 273. For adding a driver that she wouldn’t void. Not happy!!!!

This is among the worst experiences I have ever had with any company. Got a price for Atlanta to Daytona paid in full, $144. Got to Daytona and got charged $212 more for an intercity charge. Peter at Dollar customer service thought charge was justified.. Could they not supply me with the full cost of the rental when I rented.They have hidden and fraudulent charges one star is too much should have just bought a car. Please do not use this poor excuse for a rental car company.

I accidentally took the key with me to my home state after renting a car. Asked if I could overnight the key back or better yet return the key to one of their locations in my home state and they decided a $250 key replacement fee was worth all my future business and the business of anyone who reads this review. Literally had customer service ask me to still mail the key back after telling me I would be charged this fee regardless. Horrible company, horrible service.

Agent would not accept AAA discount or honor online prices, booked wrong times for car and did not offer to correct their mistake. Agent was rude and was deceptive with car price and insurance details. Received generic apology after completing online survey, did nothing to remedy poor experience.

Unbelievable they are leaving a family stranded on the side of i-4 because they won’t except a my customers credit card because it says his wife’s name on it this poor guys kids are stuck on the side of I4 they have the money for it but they lady working for dollar car rental won’t except it to help them out since when was it a policy for them to have to see the person that has the name on the card my wife has use my card many times and they will not help him

Horrible service from Dollar. Car key died (likely dead battery). Called Emmergency Road service number on rental contract, spent 45 minutes on “hold” waiting to speak with representative. Gave up and had to take cab to Daytona Airport to get anyone to help.

The first day we got the rental we had a wonderful African American gentleman that helped us out a lot, although he was working at the Hertz counter at the Daytona Beach International Airport. Super helpful and kudos to him. We got the rental Wednesday morning on Feb5th for $70+ tax, at first we were going to return the rental Thursday but extended the reservation until Friday morning and extra $70 that I was fine with paying. When I called customer service to extend the reservation the price was $140+ tax which I was fine with plus the $200 deposit a total of $340. However upon return for some reason the rates increased to $80 a day plus other taxes and fees making the total for 2 days a total of $255.64. (Not Including the $200 deposit) Not really sure how 2 days goes from $140+ tax to almost $300 not including the deposit but I definitely feel ripped off and would never recommend this car rental company to any person ever. Terrible customer service in person as well with the lady that assisted in the return of the vehicle. Terrible way to end my vacation.** update, after calling customer service I was indeed informed I was overcharged and my case is being reviewed by a manager for a resolution.

RUDE Service at the check in desk by both lady when checking out and the return lady. They were just going through the motions fast talkers and had an attitude when trying to question anything.Too pushy and not helpful other than you have to have or need that. The car ended up being way more expensive than they stated with all the extra charges you find out about when you get to the counter. Plus when it comes to airport parking, if your parking overnight, park your personal car in the long term parking. It is cheaper. The airport parking agent told me the only reason the short term parking is higher is because its closer to the airport but so is the long term. I had a car overnight one night and they held $500 on my debit/credit card. I ended up paying twice as much as estimated online! I will never rent from this airport again! Complete rip off.

This airport location didnt honor reservation, was racist, discrimination and kept making excuses why we couldnt get car. I am express rewards member and was disrespected.. I always use my debit card and it is registered on the express rewards account and this Daytona airport location said it cant be used without a credit check and then said I made the reservation less than 24hrs. So she refused to give us a car. I always rent in Kissimmee close to where I live and over there never had this problem.

I would give NO stars if I could. This has been the worst rental experience. Do not rent from them. They double the cost of the car with insanely expensive insurance. I rent cars all the time and have never had the insurance per day as much as the car. I called to return the car an hour later than I initially requested which you would think wouldn’t be a problem considering I paid an extra $25 to have the car until noon instead 5 when I picked it up being a full day. They wanted to charge me another $11. Ridiculous! I will never rent a car from dollar again and I suggest you all do the same. Don’t even bother talking to a supervisor because they are useless. This has been the most irritating rental experience of my life. This company is a joke. Do yourselves a favor and literally rent from anyone else. It ends up being more than all their competitors with these hidden fees. I feel as if the company is run by a bunch of crooks.

Our prepaid Toyota Highlander malfunctioned and had alerts displaying. We were told this location had 23 vehicles of equal or greater value and could swap it out. Drove all the way there and were told they had none available (the agent called her manager and explained they were already reserved) was sent to speak to the manager, Christina who was rude, defensive and had no ideas on how to solve the problem other than offering us a smaller car for our 6 hour drive with kids and luggage. Complete waste of time.

Absolutely the worst company to deal with and the worst people to deal with. The Daytona Beach location in the airport has the rudest employees Ive ever dealt with. I travel all of the time and rent cars all of the time but I will never again rent through dollar! The manager was extremely rude and quoted me for a different price than what I had already paid for online! And some my reservation time already was passed I had to pay it! No customer service what so ever and they were more worried about where they were getting lunch from instead of helping the huge line. They also made me purchase insurance even after I showed them I had my own car insurance. After said and done I paid 488 dollars when I was originally quoted 195. If you are considering dollar at this particular location please reconsider. I have many friends that have rented through this company after me at the Daytona Beach location and had similar issues. The manager is so rude!! Go to enterprise

If I could give 0 stars I would. Booked through dollar rental and day of pickup was wifes birthday (rental was for birthday trip) wife arrives to pick up vehicle and since its her birthday her license expired that night. Dollar wont give her car due to this even though she renewed online and is not expired. Dollar did not care and wanted her to go to DMV for temporary license. Absolutely ridiculous. Will never give them another dollar of my money

I was actually VERY nervous to rent from this company after reading the reviews but my experience this afternoon was very pleasant and quick! I was in and out and the woman at the desk was very nice and helpful. I am glad that I went through with my rental plans.

Michelle at the front desk has horrible customer service!! She was rude and overcharged us on the rental! We paid in full online and she told us she would need to charge us $180 and that that the online amount would be reimburse. Once we got home both charges went through! When we called her she said that was not her problem and we should of read what she had us sign!!! She lied and they are getting away with overcharging people!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM .A $150 RENTAL ENDED UP BEING $351!!

We have never had a problem with the Daytona Beach Airport Dollar location before this year. My son had a TERRIBLE experience with his car. He went to the counter to get his car, and there were 14 people in front of him. If the airport is getting more airlines in, Dollar needs to get more employees!We had a separate rental. We had to take our daughter in law to the Orlando airport unexpectedly. We did not purchase the Sun Pass because we never go anywhere while on vacation. We stay at the beach. I called the 800 number to see if we could get a Sun Pass for just one day. I was told yes we could. My husband went to the airport and was told that we could NOT get it for one day. We would need to get it for the entire week! Why in the world would we pay $10 a day for a pass that we only needed one day! Its ridiculous! They need to get together with their customer service to determine what can and cannot be done.Will I rent from Dollar again? Not sure.

They give to me a expired registration for the car,registration was expired on 06.30.2019,and i took the car on 09.30.2019,they dont give you any paper to check till when you not gonna pay,telling you one price on the phone and giving you a higher when you coming.Dont take car from here.

So I reserved a car online, nothing fancy. Through priceline, ended up being 300 some dollars for a week and a few days. Awesome!! So I go to the counter, excited ready for my trip, check in do what I need to do. Total ended up being 974!! They should let you know that when you reserve a car for what your reserving it for, its going to go up 600 some dollars!! Thanks dollar for starting my vacation out this way!!

I am 20. They allowed me to book and reserve a car using that age and simply said there may be an additional charge because im under 21. I get to the desk and they tell me that they wont rent to anyone under 21. Would have been great to know that before.

Absolutely will never rent from dollar again. I had reserved a mini van two months before our trip for 3 adults and two children. I got off the plane and was told by dollar all they had available was a small suv. Take it or leave it kinda deal! I paid for the van! Dollar lost a long time customer here.

This location does not even deserve any stars. After waiting in line for well over a half hour, we were informed that there were no cars currently available. When I asked how long the wait would be they said maybe an hour. There were 14 people waiting for a car ahead of me. These were 14 families whose vacation was delayed because of the incompetence of this location, the staff, and their bosses. We ultimately had to pay for a cab to our hotel at great expense.When we tried to call the company to complain, we were treated with rude customer service and were constantly bumped around between people until ultimately we were connected a to a phone number that just rang. No message and it eventually disconnected. Avoid this location and avoid Dollar Rentals at ALL COST.
