One of the best experiences at a dealership I’ve had in many years of buying cars. Jared in sales was awesome. Albert and Nick in management were great and fought for my benefit. Lastly, Andrew in finance also went above and beyond to make things work. I was met at every step with a smile and full of energy.
Great service. Went to test drive a Volvo XC70 but it got sold last night. They were able to sell me a Volvo S60 In great condition at a great price. Albert and Sam were excellent and was in and out of the dealer in less than three hours. I drove 100 miles to buy a car and will do it again.
The Gunther VW finance department lies. We were supposed to receive a check for the unused balance from our trade-in vehicles within 2 weeks of buying a new Atlas. Its been 6 weeks now and were still getting the run around. Yesterday, Andrew B told us he would forward the tracking number for the check by end of day. Today...nothing. This is unacceptable. Think twice before you deal with this dealership.
Was greeted by the AMAZING MIKE who was BEYOND friendly, thorough and funny. He explained the process and was welcoming despite the fact I was nearly 30min lost finding VW coming from NSB.Unfortunately I waited 3 THREE hours for an oil change and a 20,000 mile routine check.Thankfully Mike drove me to a nearby restaurant drive thru because the driver was having lunch🙄Considering everybody is short staffed because of covid, i kept my mouth shut but at 3 p.m. Gerrmaine who was kinda lost told me my vehicle was ready .I signed the papers but waited an additional 25 minutes at which point he came back with two sets of somebody elses car keys😱 I was patient and waited until the sweet lady at the front desk named Jamie saw me falling asleep in the lounge and went and got my vehicle. It was like they completely forgot about me.If youre going to take 3 and 1/2 an hours for an oil change please tell your customers in advance to know what to expect. You need to hire more Mikes!
Gunther VW fit me in on a busy day without an appointment to inspect a leak we thought needed immediate repair. They listened to my concerns, inspected my vehicle, and shortly after assured me the oil leak has been addressed and my car was ready to be picked up! I was extremely pleased and relieved! Thank you all for everything. We will be back for service.
It might have taken a little longer than expected, but, it was well worth the wait. The extra mile that Mike went to make sure I got the remote start makes me appreciate how valuable he really is and I hope Gunther VOLKSWAGON realizes it. It is because of his commitment to customer satisfaction that I will be back when I’m ready for my next vehicle and would recommend to anyone.
My appointment was scheduled for 8:30 am. At 4:00 pm, that afternoon I was assured the car was being evaluated for an issue with the steering wheel. When it turns, there is a grinding feel as if something is broken and vibrating when the wheel is turned.No one bothered to call me so I picked up the car at 5:40 pm, that same evening. I was given the keys and asked if someone was going to speak with me about the issue. The receptionist said that someone could call me if I wanted them to do so. I asked if the car was finished. She didn’t know and said to call the next day. I was very unhappy that no one had bothered to speak with me about what was done to correct the issue. When I read the form given to me, the cause was stated as, “there was a bag of coins under the seat causing the sound.” I was completely insulted and extremely frustrated that the dealership had kept my car for a full day only to completely ignore the grinding feeling in the steering wheel. Instead, they decided there was a sound and totally disregarded what I stated as the problem.I immediately requested to speak with the Service Manager who had no idea about what was happening. I specifically asked if this was a sexist issue since I am female and obviously the men fixing the car couldn’t be bothered to either do it timely or with any competency. The Service Manager explained that I could call in the morning to find out what happened.Thanks for nothing!!! Take my advice…do not buy a Volkswagen if you have to use Gunther for the service. The car has been fabulous. The service is the worst I have ever experienced. I should have stayed with my Hyundai.
Ill start by saying this. The building is nice. Interviewed for a job and the sales manager decided I looked to poor to give me the shred of respect a human deserves. Berated me the whole interview and suggested I go to another dealer or go back to my minimum wage job. At the end of interview I was offered the job. I understand needing a thick skin is required but theres no reason to treat anyone that way. 0/0 would recommend you seek employment elsewhere. I will not be returning for employment.

Buying a new car was never less stressful, as a matter of fact it was very pleasant. Most of us know how much time goes into this, between looking at models, test driving and then of course... the dreaded paperwork that is involved on the winner! Between our salesman Eddie S. and their finance manager, we haven’t had an better eight hour experience buying a car anywhere before now. Not only was our choice a perfect fit and superb quality for the budget, but no one at this dealership was at all pushy. I’d recommend them to anyone!
We came in to look at a specific car that had been sold just prior. Mike suggested another car which our children voted down. He found a car that was in budget, fit our family of 5 very comfortably and we could take 2 additional passengers when family came to visit. It was a perfect solution we hadn’t even considered. Plus we are not in a mini van. The VW Atlas has more 3rd row leg room than the Tahoe. It was immensely more affordable with the quality Volkswagen has a reputation for. It gave us the bells and whistles as well. Mike had a great team for finance that worked with us to complete the purchase. Very satisfied with service. Only wish these purchases were quicker. However a car is a major purchase so everyone needs to get it right. Set plenty of time aside unless you are coming with cash.

They do what they need to to sell you a car and then they want nothing to do with you. My car was delivered to me minus the extra key and owners manual after 4 phone calls and numerous texts they finally sent it FedEx to me a week later. Then to top that off the next day I received 2 toll violations in 5he mail for my new car that the salesman ran the tolls and then left me to be cited please see attached answer from Lasha a very condescending salesman at this location.Arent those the tolls on the way to your house? You would have had to pay them if you came here anyway. If its a problem no worries I can have the check cut for $2.94 but you will have to pick it up because FedEx would be more than $2.94 just to send it you you. I do not even travel that way. Why are his people even running tolls that is illegal in it self. And then leaving me to get stuck with it. After sale BEWARE horribly abysmal customer service also dont try to reach GM Ive tried 5 times and he never calls back.
These guys were great! I had a very specific car in mind, but was having trouble finding it. Ricardo searched between the two locations and found exactly what I was looking for! They drove the car over 10hrs total to get it to me at 8am sharp on a Monday morning. I have never had such a quick, easy and carefree car shopping experience! Thanks guys, I love it!
Stay away from this dealership’s service department.Over two hours for a scheduled oil change. They were not busy as waiting area had only two other people. Mike Taylor was uncommunicative. After an hour and half he said car was done and he had to do the paperwork after I had to have someone go find him. It took 40 more minutes for him to do the paperwork.As we got home we no longer had the oil change maintenance light but now the check engine light is on. Called Mike Taylor and no return call. Spoke to Shelley the manager who was rude and unapologetic. Going somewhere else for better service and to get the job done right.I wish I read all the reviews since Gunther bought this dealership in February 2020 because I would have stayed away.
Our salesmen was Andy from Volkswagen.. we were very impressed with his help and getting us into our new vehicle to us... was very patient with my picky decision making and showed me several different vehicles and was able to get us into one. Was very impressed by the way that he kept informing us of the progress and even offered to come in on his Day off to make sure the vehicle went through inspection the next day. Was very considerate and even offered to deliver the vehicle to us if need be... we are very impressed and appreciate of him. Issue with oil leak car is only 9 months old called to make service appointment yesterday no return call. Called several times today and had to leave messages Finally got thru and made appointment for Saturday(that was the next available). The service guy said it will most likely cost us money since we didn’t get the oil changed with them so expect you to be charged when we get there. We had the oil changed back in February because we were in NY for a death in the family ( not a planned trip was last minutes) so didn’t have a choice and travel with 4 children. So it seems it’s probably not a major issue just a simple drain valve or something and I am shocked they will not just fix it and keep a happy customer but that’s there choice. I love Volkswagen vehicles as we have 3 but when this 2021 Atlas goes back on lease I will never purchase from Gunther Volkswagen the customer service is not there at all we will take our business elsewhere!!

They asked if my car wanted to be washed after sitting there for 3 1/2 hours for an oil change. When i told them no, they did it anyways ruining a completely new paint job. The level of disrespect when calling them so they could fix their mistake was what set me to write this review.

My issue isn’t with the inability to close a deal, it’s with the lack of professionalism from the sales rep upon trying to leave. They moved our car to do their appraisal for trade in without telling us. Then when I asked where it was and why they moved it the rep became belligerent with me. Even as I attempted to leave the floor he followed me out to yell at me. As I walked away from him around the building corner to get our car he followed me all the way there to continue to try to bait me into an argument. We weren’t able to reach a deal on the car we wanted, clearly that happens all the time. He couldn’t handle that we weren’t interested in the lease on a different vehicle that he tried to divert us too. He even become insulting a few times. Once, telling me I don’t understand the lease to buy option, which I fully do, just am not slightly interested in that option. Second when trying to get away from this screaming maniac and locating my wife’s car I became flustered and approached the wrong car, which was very similar that it shouldn’t be difficult to find the car now. I’ve never experience a level or rudeness from a car salesman ever.
This is probably the most honest car lot I’ve ever been to. Eddie was a great salesman and the finance department was hands down the best I’ve ever seen. They were patient and didn’t push anything I didn’t want. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Very dissatisfied with the VW finance department. Called about purchasing an extended warranty for my Golf Alltrack and received an extremely rude response and he was uninterested in helping me. Youd think they would try to sell me something that dealers usually make a huge markup on.
I test drove the car I liked, went through most of the process online the next day and picked it up the following day! Super easy and John Fillion was great to work with.
Had a 10am appointment for an oil change and showed up on time. Person outside was very nice and took my keys. Directed me to waiting room and said someone would come and find me. Sat there for 15 minutes before someone moved me to an office where Mike the service guy was supposed to get things going. Sat in his office for 5-10 minutes. When he came in he didnt even say hi or any other chitchat. Fine, I thought, as long as the car gets done. Had me sign some paperwork but never said what it was for. Then back to the waiting room. Got sick of sitting so I walked around the lot and the lot next door. Came back and sat some more. Finally at noon (2 hours) I found another service advisor and she was very nice. Immediately found my paperwork and said the car was done. Signed an incredible amount of paperwork for an oil change. She said the car was washed and vacuumed. Outside looked OK but the only thing that was different on the inside was that my stuff was moved around. Sand on the rubber floor mats wasnt even vacuumed. All in all not a pleasant experience and I will be using another VW dealership next time.
I love volkswagens, I really do! To be honest, 3 stars is being generous.. I think Gunther should have much better customer service. Overall I got what I needed and will be returning for future parts and service because I trust the work. Best of luck with sales.

Very disappointed this time. Made an appointment to minimize my wait and when I got there, no one was available to check me in. Cashier told me they were short staffed but someone would be with me soon. I waited 30 minutes and still nada. I went back to Cashier to ask what was going on. Finally someone checked me in but I ended up there for 3 1/2-4 hours. To replace a sensor. Wish they would have told me they had a shuttle service so I wouldnt waste my day. All I heard was they didnt have enough staff but it seemed like there were plenty of staff standing around. Attitude was almost like I was bothering them. Will have to find another dealer for service.

Took our Jetta in for servicing and brake noise. Note: this is the 2nd time Im having them check the brakes. The 1st time they said the brakes were fine, but this time I am told it needed new brakes ( the same noise) . Picked up car almost 5 days later (Tuesday), thats when they called and said it was ready, when was originally told car would be ready the same day (Thursday) and or a least the next day. After picking up the car (Tuesday), the very next day, the cars service light and tire sensor light is on. I returned the car a few days later, asked why did they not clear the service light? and am told a sensor went bad for my tire pressure and there are 4 of them, one for each tire. There are four of these at $250 each. I asked why was this not noticed at the scheduled inspection of my car which they had for at least 5 days. I would think this would have been discovered especially since this is part of the reason why my car was being serviced. It was said because the car is over 10 years old. I found their response to be unsatisfactory. I find it interesting that all 4 sensors would go bad after being serviced. I have another vehicle that is more than 10 years old and the sensors did not fail or need to be replaced. I am disappointed because this car has been serviced by Volkswagen dealerships since purchased. I was not pleased with the service received.. For future servicing, I may return the car to the Brevard dealership where it was purchased . The service at the Brevard location was a pleasant experience and if there was a change in time or servicing issue for any reason they were sure to contact us. It was only after we called, Gunther, them (3 separate times) to inquire about the status of the car that we are told the car was not ready. Again, not a very pleasant or informative experience...
Went in for a check engine light. Was told I needed a new battery. 4 hours for that to take place. Seems really long considering I was first appointment of the day

My experience at Gunther Vw/Volvo of Daytona was Amazing. Chase P is my salesman, Andrew S was the sales manager in charge of my buyers order and Crystal S was my finance advisor. I also had (Jimmy) James O as a finance advisor for my first vehicle. Everyone worked together to give me the best price possible and the process was quick and painless. Chase took great care of me, no matter what is going on around him he stays focused on making sure there are no questions unanswered. He took time to make sure I knew how everything works from front to back inside and out. I absolutely love my vehicle. The car I chose is a beautiful 2015 Honda Civic Lx, this is the second pre owned vehicle Ive purchased at Gunther Vw/Volvo. My mother also purchased a pre owned vehicle and each time was a wonderful experience. The General manager, Albert F came and congratulated me with great enthusiasm and a sincere welcome to the Gunther family. I will definitely do all my car buying with this dealership and wonderful team from now on. I’ll start by saying salesman Ricardo was nice. Other than that, my husband and I had an awful experience at Gunther.I called before going, gave a stock number from the website and was told they had the exact car on the lot and it had all the details I was asking. The car with the stock # was there but it did not have anything I had asked (sunroof, color, etc).Once we got there, they could not find keys to the cars they actually had. Pulled up a completely different vehicle instead of just telling me they didn’t have what I wanted.Finally said they don’t have the car but they can get it from their dealership in Delray.We come inside, get a quote for my trade which was laughable - especially in the current market. I knew what my trade was worth and they refused to even give me the low end of it. I then discovered they didn’t even input the correct year of my vehicle into KBB.After a failed attempt at being pressured to make a “commitment to buy today” (without seeing any prices) we finally got an OTD price.Sticker price plus an outrageous dealer fee.We countered twice - the first time the salesman came back stressed with a slightly higher offer for my trade.The second time we countered (since they had hardly budged on anything) he came back and told us the manager took our offer and crumpled the paper and threw it.Not only did they not offer what my trade was actually worth, they would not take $1 off of the sticker price (which was more than the car listed online - that that didn’t even have on the lot!). There was no attempt to work with us at all and they obviously didn’t care about selling us a car.Overall an unprofessional, disappointing experience and I wouldn’t want to give my business to a dealership with such a terrible manager.I saw a similar review / experience as mine so I’m not sure we can chalk it up to a bad day.Save your time and go to VW in St Augustine, they were way more pleasant to work with.

Gunther Volkswagen is a very chill dealership. Everyone I encountered was very easy to deal with and very patient with me. I was pretty high strung due to buying a new vehicle out of necessity and not desire so I was quite thankful for the no pressure approach.
Diane K is a great sales person. She helped my family and I choose the perfect vehicle for our needs. She was friendly, attentive & just overall wonderful to work a deal with. I bought a used car here and it was a great experience. No haggle price made the purchase real easy and the price was competitive. I have had my car serviced here as well and the service was great.They also have a nice waiting room with free soda, water and comfortable seating while you are waiting on car.
Car has been in shop at least every other month since October. Latest issue car we taken to shop and we got car back a month later. Will say that Mike was helpful. Just hope we don’t have to go back any time doon

This was my first time buying a car with a Gunther dealership. I found a vehicle online and submitted an Internet request for information. Jack Curtis was a pleasure to work with; extremely responsive to any question or request that I had throughout the entire process. I worked out the deal ahead of time, limiting the typical, dreaded day-long experience at the dealership. Once I arrived at the dealership to test drive the vehicle, Jack guided me through the process - complete with an abundance of knowledge, extreme professionalism and a great sense of humor, as well (a bonus in my book). Made the two hour drive to the dealership worth it - would highly recommend both Gunther dealerships and Jack to serve you well!

Took my car in for a recommended 50k check up. Took over 2 hours! Service department had 0 communication and attitude. In the end I payed over 300 dollars for an oil change and tire rotation. I get in the car and the alignment is off. I’ll never return to this dealership and warn my friends and family. Salesman were nice and not pushy considering I was looking for an SUV. Will buy from another dealer. I would love to be refunded for the poor work, but I won’t hold my breathe.
All good... It started with a next day appointment which was a great surprise... Then they Shuttled me to and from the repair... (Im within distance)... Though the part was not available the sane day as a drop off, they got it in and finished before close of the next day (which I was told was most likely the case.)...both the advisor and drivers were all pleasant to work with, and the lounge was perfectly clean and nicely restocked area.... Though I have had a sub par issue with VW and a completely different location, Im happy to have them close by if I need work done again. Id be happy to recommend them and give a call for any issues might have in the future. Thank you for taking care of both me and the car.
Absolutely go somewhere else to buy a car! I drove about an hour to look at a vehicle only to arrive and be told it sold in the 2 hours that the store was open before I got there. Not at all likely...My second choice couldn’t be seen cause they couldn’t find the keys. So unprofessional! I bought my son’s car the next day at a VW dealership in Orlando. Same model & year with less miles; guess they did me a favor after all.

Car trouble is the worse thing to happen while traveling…I was babysitting my grand pups in NSB this past weekend. My Volkswagon Jetta SE decided not to start…the message on the screen said…Key Fob not detected, I called the nearest Volkswagon dealer ship and they told me what to do and it didn’t work. Albert from Gunther then ask where I was located, I told him my location and he stated that he lived in the area and he would stop by after 7:30 pm when he was done with work. He was amazing, a guardian angel was sent to my rescue. We thought it must be the key fob and a new battery would do the trick, that didn’t help…In the meantime he put the car battery on the charger…it wouldn’t take the charge. Albert told me to call and make an appointment for service on Monday, and call roadside assistance and have it towed to the dealership. On Tuesday I got the call from Kelly with the news that it was just the car battery and I could pick it up in an hour. Well, the car salesman who sold me the car quit, so apparently to get any assistance you need to call over and over and over again. Leave message after message with no response. Staff RIDICULOUSLY pushing you off to someone else. Purchased the car 72 days ago and still getting run around on extras promised. Tire crumbled one month after purchase. Showed up today to cause a scene. Got some service this time around.
My partner and I had a great experience purchasing a 2017 Tiguan Wolfsburg this weekend from Adam Young. We recently traded our older truck for a newer SUV at Gunther Motors. Our salesperson, Rick, was a delight to work with and stayed right by our side throughout the sales cycle. His manager cooperated with us during the negotiations so our purchase was exactly what we wanted to pay. Though we paid cash, we did have to visit the finance guy to complete the paperwork. He, too, was kind and easy to work with. Overall I rate them an A+.
We only went to test drive a Tiguan and see if we even liked it after seeing them online. John Prillion was the salesman who came out to help, and man, he knows his VW’s! Every possible thing to shade about the vehicle, he knew and did. Not pushy at all, and allowed us to look it over thoroughly and even leave for lunch without hassle! The management and finance were great too and very friendly! We ended up buying the car because we got the deal we wanted and loved the dealership. Would absolutely recommend them and John P. to anyone!
My car smelled like smoke after they brought it out to me. In all the years I have taken cars for repair, oil change, and tire rotation this has never happened. I am not sure if I will go back to this dealership in the future! I hate the fact someone who smokes was in my car. Especially because I am highly allergic to it!
Can’t recommend Gunther and specifically, Andy enough. Was able to conduct the whole buying process from the comfort of my home with the car even delivered to my door! Extremely fair prices and upfront, honest explanations. Gunther made my car buying process a wonderful, positive experience.
I had the most fun buying a vehicle at Gunther. Ive never referred to a vehicle purchase as fun. There was no pressure, just super helpful! I worked with Malcom and he was very knowledgeable and funny. Funny helps with the experience! Definitely felt comfortable with all of the staff, they were straight forward and worked with me. I bought a used car and they had reconditioned it so it looked new! Im very happy.

I visited Gunther Volkswagen of Daytona today to buy Volkswagen Atlas with my family. the salesman ricardo la costa was great but sales manager was rude. while we are negotiated price and other extra unreasonable charge which we do not have any clue with the salesman. when ricardo went to salesmanger room with my counter offer across where we are sitting, the sales manager show my counter offer from his room and teared that paper. Is it necessary to do this?? All he could do was to say No. I had no issue with him but the way he acted insulated me. Because I had my son with me and my wife. He could communicate with me more humanly. We all went to that place to just buy a car not to be humallited. As a customer we expect more from the company. Please dont let the same experience happen to other people.
Very disappointed with this be dealership! They need to work on customer satisfaction with there clients. Bought 4 cars with the Fields Vw that was there before very disappointing with management could not give us a written agreement with our numbers to buy the vehicle I will never return there again or recommend them to anyone in our area.🤷♀️

The service department is deplorable and could care less about you as a customer. We had our car schedule first thing in the morning and it was still not done at 3pm. We were told that if we were the only customers our vehicle would have been done. A simple service and alignment should not take 7 hours. They didnt even do the alignment because that would have taken another 2 hours. Horrible customer service. I will never go back to this dealership, and I would recommend everyone to stay away. They could careless about you as a customer. This is my opinion based on the way we were treated.
This is my first VW! I am so happy to be part of this brand family. I’ve been a Fields customer with Fiat since 2012. With the memory of the exceptional customer care at that dealership, I have high expectations.This new dealership was outstanding. The moment I arrived I was quickly greeted by the warm & friendly Alden in sales. He was a delight to work with and anticipated all my needs to efficiently process my purchase. Metin the sales manager was also incredibly helpful in expediting my paperwork. I went over to the finance desk, and was greeted by Victoria, who had such a lovely demeanor. She made the tedious task of signing paperwork fun.I can’t express my gratitude enough to this professional team. They all go above and beyond in their nature to care for the customer and it shows!
