I thought I was alone feeling that the clerk lady doesnt like Asian students, and it turns out that I was not. She was quite cheerful and actively helping when she is with older white costumers, but whenever it is my turn (Asian student, unfortunately) her altitude turns cold immediately and she speaks up her demands/directions super fast (double emphasis: she speaks FAST) as if she want to get rid of me as soon as possible for the rest of her life. She doesnt really speak that fast to white costumers.I understand that it must be rough being the lone employee at the spot. She does her job acceptably, but do expect complication.

Worst experience of my life. I walked out in tear because of the way I was treated by the employee. Dont know her name but she was tall, large and chewed gum. Tried to get help and was told just do it like me and was sent out more confused. Will not return to this site. Horrible horrible horrible.

Overall, the customer service is fine, but the lady who works here is terrifying and impatient lol.Don’t get me wrong. She’s very knowledgeable and I don’t think she’s unfriendly on purpose. Maybe that’s just her work style.

Been going here for years shocked at the negative comments about race have witnessed the opposite behavior and think its more about age and rude students.. I wont lie the line is way to long but years ago there were 2people then they cut it to 1...

Kind, quick and efficient. I bought stamps to send letters to Europe, and she took time to explain that there was absolutely no time limit on them and that I could use them for cards and letters in the entire world.Small counter with only one clerk, but short queue and she was great at multitasking.

What a horrible experience I had today 8/19/19 between 12 and 1 pm. The clerk lady lady was EXTREMELY rude to me and to other Asian young ladies behind me, but nice to white customers. I wasnt able to say anything as I didnt see other employees, it was terribly embarrassing and to be honest I was shocked. I thought for a minute that I was mistaken, but she was very rude to me at least 3 times. This person has very dark hair. I really hope the postal office does something about it, it is not fair that she keeps mistreating nice Davis people.

The lobby hours (for PO Box access & dropping off mail) are different from the service window hours. The lobby hours since Dec 19, 2019, are 5 AM to 7 PM Monday through Saturday, and 7 AM to 12 noon on Sunday. The lobby was closed all day on all the holidays Ive checked so far.

I think the clerk lady doesn’t like the students of UCD or international studets. To be specific asian students. Clerk lady was very nice to the older white lady front of me. She took here time to really help her, explained everything slowly. They talked about other stuff like music... So I expected similar treatment from the clerk lady. Then when it comes to my turn, her face turned blank with no emotions no greetings, all questions answered in a very brief and quick form. She then hurried and just tried to get everything done quick. At the end I said Thank you, no response from her.

Very long wait, rude staff, I never use this post office again! Needs a total change of staff and better customer service, or close it altogether.

Long waiting but the clerk is very patient and answered all my questions. Nice person and tough job. They should have hired more staffs, though.

Its quite depressing in here. Always a line no matter what time and they always only have one clerk. If you want to drop off a package, expect to wait in line for something thats already prepaid. Theres no drop box area so go to the main branch in Davis to drop things off since they have a container for it. You can tell nobody wants to be there, not even the employees.

Just fyi: I think this post office had a fire at some point. Looks like the PO boxes might still be there but the office functions have moved. Before that, it was convenient to have one downtown.

Pros: Clerk is patient and niceCons: Long line no matter the time you go and only one single clerk. Timetable is ridiculous (noon-4:30). Office is old and small, no seats.

The staff here is racist. She does not help Asians and being very rude to me.

Grumpy employees. The woman at the counter refused to sell me a tracking number for my envelope, even though it is a service that USPS offers. Tried to sell me Priority shipping. Went home and printed the label myself for $2.66.

Would be even better if the PO closest to campus didnt close at 4:30 pm.. For those of us who are not motorists

The staff currently working there is really rude and inefficient. I kind of got yelled at earlier today because I didnt know where the envelopes were. And of course the layout is confusing. Be prepared for the poor service.

The employees at this post office rarely opt (only after many calls and many rings) to pick up the phone, and when they do, they give the wrong information and cause great inconvenience. Go with UPS.
