Web site says they fix gaming systems even if you dont buy it from them. Drove 45 minutes to drop off Xbox one and they said they couldnt fix it because I didnt buy it there. I did call before going but Best buy doesnt answer the phone right now because of covid-19....π
Geek squad service is absolutely horrible, you can have an appointment and still wait 30min or longer what the heck is the appointment/reservation for, I have waited 30min to an hour in the past two weeks with a reservation. Theyβre system is pointless. And doesnβt take into consideration itβs customers time, the whole system needs to be re-evaluated.
Wont work on anything unless you belong to their club
They have been very efficient in taking my money, but became *extremely* (creatively even, if feels like) disfunctional when I had to use my protection plan, to my disadvantage.By the contract of my protection plan, they were supposed to replace my phone or to give me store credit for what I paid for the phone, including taxes.They sent me a giftcard for less than that.Emails and hours on the phone with GeekSquad, the store and the obligor of the protection plan were useless.The obligor did not have a human being picking up the phone or returning voice messages.The GeekSquad number I was referred to led to a team without the means and the supervisors to do anything about it.The phone of the store had a wait time of almost one hour.A concise yet well explained and documented email I sent to the very Best Buy employee (Sarah Pettis) who emailed me the gift card was ignored.When a manager finally took my call at the Davenport (IA) store, she and the people she asked also didnt know what to do and she told me that the only way to make this right was to sue Best Buy.But the scam goes on: suing for $40 isnt worth it and a class action is difficult because, whenever you purchase online at Best Buy or use a Best Buy gift card, you agree to terms that include giving up your right to use a class action.My advice: just dont buy anything at Best Buy if you can help it.

Best Buy has great value on all products and offers great service programs through the Geek squad. Very happy π
Service was relatively fast and the process was easy. They mailed my laptop back to me with no shipping charges. I only wish they would have explained more as to what was repaired. Overall good service and will use them again.
Geek squad was great they didnt rush me and made sure all my questions were answered and that i understood everything very knowledgeable and professional also gave me tips on my purchase will definitely be going to them for all my questions from here on out
