I am new to the area and called asking for pricing for service on my pool. Just being on the phone with Melissa, I felt her positive energy though the phone. She connected me with Nikki the office manager who was very patient with all the million questions I had, attentive and helpful. She provided me with all the details on the year round service plan and sent pricing immediately. Looking forward to service this year!

Swimm Pools had done an excellent job maintaining a pool I had built by someone else (who, it turns out, built it so shoddily that it had to be dug out and replaced about five years later), so after checking out some of their other work, I let them build a pool at a house we moved into last summer. Mark Swimm designed the pool (and patio) with great care, gave me a realistic time frame for construction - which he met - and did so for a reasonable price. Swimm wasn’t the cheapest or the most expensive company I talked to, but they listened to what I wanted, and didn’t try to “upsell,” as other companies sometimes do. Melissa and Nikki are a pleasure to deal with in terms of construction and maintenance. After the nightmare experience I had with the last pool builder, Swimm’s professionalism - they’re really well known in the area - has been greatly appreciated.

I unfortunately must join the nay sayers about this company. I had an absolutely bizarre experience with Swimms sales department. We were in contract to purchase a home with a pool and hired Swimm to perform the inspection. They were quick and efficient. We then asked them to provide us with an estimate for changing the pool over from chlorine to salt water and installing a new heater. Again, they were quick, efficient and the proposal was what we had anticipated. We recently agreed to their proposal and submitted the signed contract via email. We received an email in response that stated they did not receive our email. (Huh?) They requested that we call their office to discuss the proposal they never received. (Down the rabbit hole we go.) When we called the office we were told that they have no interest in performing the work identified in the email that they never received because we were not prior clients with a service agreement for the pool. That is right folks, the new clients could not engage Swimm because we were not prior service clients. The person was curt and hung up before we could utter the words we just moved here. Needless to say there are plenty of pool companies in Connecticut who are not so quick to eliminate their new clients based on the fact that they are not old clients. I am still scratching my head on this one. Must be something in the water.

Exceeded expectations. Mark Swimm and Nicole delivered a beautiful pool, outdoor shower, fire pit and patio. Mark guided the process and made weekly visits to ensure our satisfaction. We love coming home, flipping on the custom lighting and enjoying our back yard. If you’re looking for a pool or patio and want to enjoy the experience, call Mark Swimm.

The last positive review is from a recent employee of the company. This is deceptive.A long winter can make Service and openings a challenge, but they simply took more customers than they could handle.. It took a lot of work and time to manage all of the issues. By the time Service occurred - the season for us was over.

If you’re happy with acceptable if not enthusiastic service, don’t mind paying at least 10% more than others charge and enjoy unexpected personal abuse, Swimm Pools is the swimming pool company for you.I signed up with Swimm Pools for the 11th season this year by paying the full $3,685 on April 1, 2019; the office called me to schedule opening my pool for May 17 when I asked about scheduling tile repair. That sparked a series of angry and personally abusive emails from Mark Swimm about how difficult I’d been to everyone on his staff these 11 years (complete news to me), which led to his refusing to open my pool as promised. I don’t remember dealing with Mark in person since his sales pitch in 2007 or 2008; particularly in the most recent barrage of nastiness, he seems to prefer hiding behind electronic barriers of emails. It took some scrambling, but I found another pool company which charges $3,393 for the entire season (only ½ up front), promptly opened my pool and is not only responsive but friendly and pleasant. On May 31, interrupted while coming up our driveway to complete weekly pool maintenance (he apparently wasn’t given the memo), the pool guy from Swimm Pools (a pleasant and courteous fellow) was told “Mark fired us” – his thought: “I’m sorry about that – I really liked talking with you.” Mark ultimately provided a full refund but that doesn’t excuse unnecessary aggravation or gratuitous personal abuse.

I am sorry to say that I have to agree with other reviewers now. We have used Swimm Pool for 6+ years. However, as time passes, it is sadly apparent that there is less and less customer service savvy. I think I would shop around and get recommendations from others in town before choosing them now. Nothing ever goes completely smoothly with the pool start up each year and there are always minor issues that you will have to contact them twice about, depending on who answers the phone. Perhaps things dont go smoothly with other pool companies either, but I think its probably worth shopping around first when choosing a servicing company.

Had the best experience possibly when our pool was opened this Spring. As most pools we had a lot of leaves and stuff in the pool and water was quite dirty. But the day after the opening our pool was basically swimmable - crystal clear. Nice job!!!

This staff is not helpful as their products fail to perform. Our lanterns never worked and they simply didnt care. When I brought them in, the attitude was too bad. You should have brought them back sooner, even though they were gifts and I didnt know for a while where to bring them back. Oh boy!Enjoy an attitude adjustment, please, staff. Real needs of customers are in the way here, apparently.Oh, and they are still selling those lanterns in the front window, although the girl couldnt get the new ones to work either.....So beware....

This company is the absolute worst pool company. We signed up for their annual pool service agreement and our pool looks abandoned. Look elsewhere for pool service.
