I rented a chainsaw and used it less than 1 minute when the chain jumped off. I took the side cover off to put the chain back on and realized the chain jumped off because the sprocket was completely worm out. Also the part that tightens the chain was broken. I returned the saw and asked for a refund. The young girl at the front desk tried to call someone. I told her to just call me back when she was able to reach the owner. Never got that call back so I called and she told me they refunded the rental minus the cost of the parts. I really dont understand how they think I should be resposible for the repair. It was completely worn out and I didnt even get to use it. I asked her to have the owner call me but he never did. Very bad customer service. I will not be doing business with them again.
We have rented equipment, tables, chairs, party supplies, you name it.The staff and crew are always professional; the owner very good to work with. We rent commercially and also my crew rents from them.I highly recommend them.Maintenance ManagerLocal facility
Great company, great service, cannot ask for a better experience!
Fantastic place to rent from. Very nice people who were extremely helpful. Well definitely go back
The owner of this company is a complete joke. My father passed and my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, my wedding is next month and I just lost my grandmother. The tradition of a wedding is to have the Brides parents help you pay for it. Well thats down the drain, all I want to do is have my dream wedding. I was quoted for 1484.00. My auntie was willing to do this for me with her military discount. The owner would not honor a 5% which is about $75 bucks off. Okay so you turn down a Brides dream and tell me maybe I should use wooden chairs instead if Im on a budget and loose $1400 for being an butt. Thanks to another rental company, I have booked chairs and equipment needed for my special day. They were actually $1628 and honored the military discount at 10%. In this day and age it is all about money, but then again ITS ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL. If I could give this company no stars I would. and Please dont get me wrong, the lady there is helpful, but I cant support someones business that only cares about himself.GODBLESS
We had another company that never showed the past 2 days. We called Big Sky and they brought out an excavator out today to rent. Thank You So Much!!!!
That s great place and people are sweet
Sllwayd a plradute ciming here. Yhey havr been in our area a frw years now, and has made yheir business a danville fav. Good job Big Sky!
I called twice--once the day before, and then once the day of--to verify that they had the item I wanted to rent (300 ft of 10/3 gauge extension cord). The woman on the phone both times assured me that they had them in their inventory, and the website indicated as such as well. I even told her I was coming from over an hour away, and she said that they have them available, for sure. I drive all the way out there from Durham (over an hour away), and when I get there, the owner tells me they dont carry any such extension cord. They need to update their website, and the employees answering the phones need to learn to actually check their damn inventory before telling you they have what you want. Almost three hours of my busy day, wasted--right before my wedding (which is what I needed the extension cord for).
Absolutely the cleanest pieces of equipment Ive ever rented. Couldnt have asked for a nicer staff or facility to make me feel comfortable.
Best equipment rental fleet in town. Newest equipment too.
Rented an excavator and skid steer for a week, will update my review next week after I see the out come. Bald tires on skid steer, kept getting flat tires. Oh by the way, the contract says you the renter, are responsible for tires. Worn out tracks on excavator but it held together and one tooth missing. I had to send one of my guys back home (10 hours away) due to flat tires on skid steer. They did replace the skid steer with a track skid steer (after the flat tire they repaired went flat again) but by the time they got it to me it was 5:30 on Friday. We had to be done with this job Saturday so only one day of use on the skid steer but paid for a week. Just talked with someone at big sky today who said they would give SOME credit back on my credit card. My total cost for renting the equipment was 1706.78 for the week billed to my credit card. The portion of this total billed to my credit card for the skid steer(s) rental was 891.12 which at most I got two days use between both skid steers. Will give an update! Watch to see if my rating changes.PSI would recommend taking pix of anything you rent as soon as you get it. We did!Ok its been a month, here are the end results:I spoke to someone at the rental that told me they would give me some money back. The money to be refunded was going to be the cost difference between the two skid steers. The skid steer that had bald tires (and kept going flat) and the Track skid steer. I was refunded on my credit card 185.88 but they had actually billed me 255.oo for the upgrade. Obviously not happy but Im smart enough to avoid being burnt twice!Oh I should mention in all fairness, the service guy they sent out was polite and freindly. And even tho the condition of the equipment was in poor shape (tires and track, etc) they did run well. I just dont like how unfair it is to send equipment out with bald tires and track about to fall off with a contract that states the renter is responsible. Seems unfair! I would suggest you shop around and LOOk at the equipment before renting it. Then take pix of Everything when it arrives.I hope they read their reviews!
