Ups was a nightmare. First off I had set a delivery to be done for a medication I need through my and insurance and it was established that the package was allowed to be left at the door if no one answered. When the day came they did not leave it at the door so I had called and explained that its Friday and I needed the medication for the weekend. They placed and ugency on it and said Id receive a call when I can go to pick it up at the customer center. I got a call from my insurance stating that it was dropped off at an access point at a CVS, but when I went there, I was told that the driver hadnt been there yet. When I called back to ups I was told the same thing about picking it up at the customer center. I decided to go down myself and the lady at the front desk took my slip and went into the back. About 5 minutes later came and said she was told to have me come back after 6pm and drive around to the back and speak with Mike. I went there and he said that they are not allowed to do that and they havent been able to for the past 3 years. When a supervisor came out I explained the situation and the importance of it but she was very uncaring about it and said that I cant get it tonight and the driver with package may not even be back until 930pm. I was very upset but tried to stay as polite as I could but she got angry and said you have to leave and walked away. This is not customer service and to be this uncaring of what your customers need is unacceptable. It all couldve been avoided had the driver did as instructed and left it at the door.
After the driver didn’t deliver my package during the time that was given provided, my package was taken here to be held because it had to be signed for. After driving over 30 mins to get here, they were closed. They said online they were open however, this was not the case. Now I have to drive back another 30 mins tomorrow to pick my package up. Totaling 2 hours in the road because they are not open when they are supposed to be and can’t deliver packages properly.
Review is for UPS drivers and customer service in the Danville area: I was supposed to get two packages today; tracking said the estimated delivery time was 7pm. I personally sat in front of my building door waiting for the driver the entire day and we have surveillance footage I can provide as well. No one showed up. Exactly at 7:00pm my package’s tracking was updated with the driver claiming to have attempted delivery but wasn’t able to get access to my building. This is a complete lie as no one came to the door nor parked a truck in front of my building. There is clear footage showing no delivery attempt anytime around 7pm, nor in the hours before. No missing delivery notices were left either for the multiple packages coming. If the driver was too busy and unable to make it to our address, that would be one thing. But we have had numerous issues with getting packages to our building now because of shady drivers and customer support not doing anything about it. Have lodged numerous complaints and nothing has been done. Im sure ill get another automatic response saying to contact the national support number or social media; have done that numerous times and nothing has came of it so dont know what to do at this point but just avoid any service that ships with UPS

My daughter had my grandsons 4-wheeler delivered to my house so he wouldnt see it. It was delivered on 12/1/2020 at 12:30 PM. I wish I knew the delivery mans name because he took time out of his very busy route to give my daughter a call and let her know that there was a huge color picture of the 4-wheeler on the side of the box. He was concerned it was a Christmas present for a child and didnt want them to see it. The delivery driver placed the box out of sight. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
So I had a UPS RED Saturday delivery shipment that my customer needed because their factory was down. I contacted the Danville VA terminal on the Friday it was shipping to have them hold it at the terminal for pick up. I was informed they couldn’t do that because they were closed on Saturdays. So I asked if they could just deliver the package with no signature being required. I was told I would have to have the shipper contact UPS & do a shipper release for that to happen. I contacted the shipper & they contacted UPS & did the shipper release as requested. I then called the Danville VA terminal back & spoke to the same lady again & told her this had been completed & was there anything else we needed to do to ensure it got left with no signature. She said no, it will show on the scanner & the driver will leave it there. Well he didn’t. He arrived at the address (supposedly) marked it as business closed & did not deliver. I called customer care at noon on Saturday spoke with someone that said he would contact the driver & have it re-delivered & I’d get a call back in 5-10 minutes with confirmation. I called back an hour later after not hearing back. I was told that there was no way it could be re-delivered & that the driver had already returned to the terminal & left for the day so I’d have to wait until Monday. I asked if they could get a hold of the manager at the center to allow pick up today from there. I was told that would be arranged & I’d get a call back with in the hour. I called back 5 times ever hour with no advancement towards a resolution. The last time I called I was told that since the terminal is closed nobody will answer their cell phones either so honestly nothing will nor can be done until Monday. As a business owner myself this is absurd. UPS’s driver screwed up, I have a National Manufacturer Facility down because of it & no one can get ahold of someone to fix their UPS’s mistake? I don’t run my business this way that’s for sure. Ref # for my case is 1-178735012890. UPS needs to come up with a better policy to prevent this from happening, maybe employ a better manager at this UPS terminal that will respond & correct issues caused by his employees even after hours, & employ a better driver that can actually perform the job correctly.
The female attendant with the braids right now, is always a pleasure to see when I come in! Shes very respectful 🙏🏼 thats refreshing!
The woman helping me was really nice and super busy. She couldnt help to find my package but she did everything she could and as kind as she could be. Very pleasant though unproductive visit. Will have to keep calling UPS to find my missing package.

Called to try and schedule a pickup, which I thought it said online that I could do (i may have misunderstood). The guy that answered the phone sounded busy and definitely didnt want to talk on the phone. I was cut off several times and met with an abrupt no at the end of my question. Should probably have different people answering the phones.

Strange, out-of-the-way corner of a building. Poor signage and difficult to locate. Felt like I was driving into a place where I didnt belong. Was waiting for someone to come out and tell me I was at the wrong place, but no one did, so I went in. The clerk was friendly and helpful, but to my surprise, she could not accept cash. Good thing I had a credit card on me

It is nice to have a UPS drop center in Danville. Unfortunately, the website says open until 6pm. According to my visit this week, they close at 5pm. Disregard the website hours. The service yesterday was good. The gentleman worked fast and was very polite.

Driver left a large, heavy box of an over-size item that I didnt order and wasnt expecting on my handicap ramp that leads to my homes entrance and blocked the entrance both in and out of my house. It gets worse but do I even need to say more because what Ive already written is pretty bad on their part already.
IVE BEEN HERE 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS AND THEY WERE CLOSED WHEN ITS SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN. SIGN ON THE DOOR TODAY SAYING THEY ARE OUT OF SHIPPING MATERIALS. I GUESS NO ONE GETS TO SHIP BECAUSE OF THAT!

Had a product I needed immediately that was scheduled to be delivered on a day that I was home. I waited and finally seen it marked as out for deliveryI waited at my house with the door opened and seen the driver come by my house. I thought to myself I guess hes got another package and will be headed back up. I did see him head back up and never stop or slow down. He just kept going.....I thought maybe my package was on a different truck.... about 10 mins later I seen where my package had updated tracking that now said attempted delivery I was furious. I called this store and the female advised me she would contact the driver to see what happened. I got a callback and she said she believed the driver attempted delivery and I just needed to be home next time.....Never again will I spend money to ship via UPS. They lie and dont care about your package. Trust your local United States Post Office and ship via USPS

This is a tiny little store within the Danville VA UPS Hub. It is not open very often and they dont offer anything accept shipping pricing and scales to weigh the boxes you want to ship. The lady who works there is very nice and always helpful. It would be a lot better of they had boxes and other shipping items for sale.

They misdelivered my package!!! Really!?!? I have lived in the same exact house for 20 years and you say my address hasnt changed. I ordered it from Amazon and theyve always have had the same address. The day it was supposed to be delivered they said the address didnt exist. I called and they said they would deliver it the next day... well they did..TO THE WRONG ADDRESS!! What in the world?!?!? I now have another package due tomorrow.. 2 to 1 they wont deliver it... customer service was of no help. They stated that I had to talk with Amazon and file a complaint with them. I explained to them, Amazon didnt deliver my package to the wrong address....just found out the local UPS changed the address completely.... SHM
Great people here. If you need to drop off a package go around to the back overhead door and ring the bell. They closed the small customer center at the front of the building.
I’m leaving one star because I cannot leave any less stars. About one in three packages delivered to my home are damaged and have been opened and retaped. The last package I received from Amazon had been opened and a security camera was stolen out of it. If Amazon had any other options for shipping service, I would never deal with UPS again.I’ve contacted UPS about my problem and the person handling my complaint refused to see the possibility that any of his employees could be the person behind my damaged packages and stolen goods.I’ve called to report this another time, as it has not ceased to happen. I left a message and no one ever responded.So giving them a one star review when they wouldn’t even return my call, would be overly complimentary.How could I resolve an issue when they won’t even speak to me?

Worst experience ever with a shipping company. I run a small business and one of my customers made a special order. After calling customer service to inquire about an aprox delivery time, they put my package on hold. After repeated conversation with customer service the package is still on hold and they keep saying I requested it to be held (which is a lie). Ive explained at least 5 times that it needs to be delivered like normal but now with only a few hours before my customer leaves for the airport (minus his gift) they are still giving me the run around.

Had a package that was delivered to me that was damaged. The company that sent me the package also delivered a prepaid stamp to send the package back in the event that the package was wrong, damaged, etc. When I went to UPS to have the package shipped back, the lady working protested that it was not a prepaid stamp and proceeded to rip the stamp off of my package, telling me that I would have to pay for shipping. Needless to say, I was a little mad after leaving.
