I was looking for something to help me get into shape and my daughter into something she enjoyed. For some reason, I skipped over other gyms listed above G1 in my search. Glad I did. My life gets better every time I get on the mat and I have to drag my 5-year-old out of there because she has so much fun.I have followed Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since the early 90s, but didn’t think I was the right type of person for it. That was a lie. I’m having success (at 43-years-old) and joining a brotherhood while getting the workout of a lifetime. Don’t be afraid to give it a try. It’s hard work, but so much fun! A+

Genuinely caring owners and coaches. Great environment for family to learn self defense, get fit and have fun doing it...most of the time. Some exercises just aren’t fun, I’m looking at you burpees, but I love the results. I also like the different disciplines of martial arts taught at G1.

My kids absolutely love the G1 family. Everyone is very welcoming and willing to teach. Prices are very reasonable compared to other studios in the area!

G1 is a great martial arts school. Ive been taking Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for a couple of years now and have grown so much as a grappler. Larry is a fantastic coach, and Ive made some great friends.

G1 has been an amazing experience for me personally. The coaches are very attentive and try to explain things thoroughly, the curriculums are all great and help open your mind to other possibilities, and the people make it feel like a real community. Would definitely recommend!
