Another barbershop told me they were booked for the rest of the day, I called Preston Forrest Barbers and they had an opening. Albert did a great job and I got compliments from people for days after the cut. I found my new barbershop!

I walked in and no one was really sure who I had an appointment with. The salon is basically a long hallway, but its very nice; fits in with the part of Dallas its in well. Found out who I was with, Lance, and sat down to wait, and my barber starts talking about conspiracy theories about WWII soldiers being forced to take Crystal Meth at full volume... 😨 Not my idea of appropriate small talk while getting a haircut, ESPECIALLY in such a small space where everyone can hear it. I dont care what you feel politically, but Lord, thats just too far, and it sucks because I REALLY needed a haircut, and I had worked hard and saved up a big tip. Did end up finding another salon that took my walk-in. Wish it had worked out, because the reviews for here are great, and I wanted to support them during this pandemic mess.

I’ve been a client of Lance’s since the mid 80s. Great person and in addition to cutting my hair, I enjoy the 3 to 4 minutes in the chair these days.

Made an appointment a day in advanced. Showed up the next day, early morning. Appointment took place right on time, Lance did a great job! Will definitely come back. Thank you!

Barbershop are total professionals!I consulted her for five minutes about my hair and beard and off she went like magic!Thirty minutes later I had a truly great haircut, beard trim plus a shave ...All this plus a generous tip for WAY under $100.00!! I am one satisfied customer!

Always give great cuts

Ive been afraid of trying new barbers for years after some really bad haircuts Ive received but I was not disappointed by my first visit. Paul did an excellent job and was great to talk to. I walked in and was immediately greeted and taken care of with no wait. I usually have to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour, sometimes more, for my old barber. I will definitely consider making this my regular barber shop.

Such a great first haircut by Paul Im reviewing right away. My previous barber of six years quit because of covid-19 so I tried another place & got an ok-ish haircut. A month later and the first time in the chair with Paul & he immediately said your hairs a little short on the top and way too long on the sides & back. It sounded reasonable enough that I said do what you think will make it look good and boy he did great. Went to the office later in the day and a coworker asked me where I got it cut so he could go to the same guy. Definitely a fan & new customer.

We have been going to Lance since 1994. He and the other barbers at Preston Forest are simply the best.

Just had a one of the best haircuts! I didnt have an appointment and got right in at lunch time! Jill did a fantastic job and was detail oriented to make sure I walked out looking like a a hundred bucks! Price was a bit more than I am used to paying, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend if your looking for a professional mens cut with great atmosphere and conversation. Ill be back the next time Im in Dallas and need a cut! Great job and keep it up!

Great conversation. Clean place. Very old school, like getting a haircut from your grandpa. They do a nice cut nothing fancy. I had to do a little trimming around the ears when I got home. $25 for just a cut, I was hoping for a bit more.

Id give it 0 stars, if that was an option. If you have 3 barbers sitting around an empty shop, yet no one had time to cut my hair, theres a problem. Just put a No Blacks sign on the door or in your title and I wouldnt bother walking in to begin with.

Ive been to many different barbers/stylists around the city and couldnt find anyone to do my hair right until coming to Preston Forest Barbers. Lance and the rest of the Barbers are all wonderful and the remodel of the shop looks great! They also now have a gentleman who will shine your shoes while you wait. This is a top notch place.

Machelle is probably the best barber I have been to. Ive been going to see her for the better part of a year and always leave happy.

I had never been to Preston Forest Barber shop prior to my recent visit, however Machelle made me feel comfortable from the minute I arrived. I had worn the same style for several years and was wanting a more contemporary look. I was really impressed with Machelles attention to detail and true desire to make me look my best. It was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend her.

I walked in twice and stayed for 10 minutes till someone asked me what i am looking for !!! I want to play bingo ! I want a haircut of course then they keep asking other barbers who got a spot for me 5 barbers said no and i walked away.. you have to make an appoitement by phone maybe you need to fill a mdical form next time to get their blessing haircut !

I HIGHLY recommend this place. I only started letting my hair grow 4 months ago after 10 years of buzzing it. After being inspired by Don Drapers haircut (Mad Men) I have had a major problem finding a barber shop that knew how to cut a Mens Side Part haircut. I went to 2 different barber shops the last few months to clean up the back and sides while i let the top grow and both places completely screwed up my hair. 1 of them more so than the other. I found this place online, booked an appointment with Paul and found him VERY knowledgeable. He knew EXACTLY what i wanted and even offered me better tips on how my hair should be cut and it was exactly what i was looking for. Ill definitely be coming back since it seems i have finally found a barber shop that knows what the heck they are doing.

Machelle worked her magic and transformed me into the 21st century with a cut that garnered me many compliments. She was so friendly and offered this out of towner great restaurant recommendations as an added bonus!
