My best friend was rear-ended and the driver who hit her has Standard Insurance. She was hit on January 14th and today is March 12th. Her car has not been assessed and its a lease car she has to return on March 26th. The driver admitted it was his fault, and had been working in a hospital all night and hit her on his way home in the morning. Run, dont walk from this horrible, worst car insurance company EVER! Do not recommend buying insurance from here - and if someone hits you with this insurance pray to God you have your own money to get it fixed.

They quoted me $300 a month for my two cars which is crazy because their advertisement on the radio says they will save you money and that is not saving me money lol

Its not a lot of benefits with this company. You dont have any customer service outside of 8am-5/6pm. No car rental discounts or assistance. If you dont ask you wont know with this company. I highly recommend that you understand what youre needs are in car insurance. Think about when you have had a car accident and what is needed to assist you until you get the car fixed or another vehicle. . Ask them if they provide those service. Make your decision that way.

My agent, Jay, was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns that I had. He was always courteous, informative and straight to the point! Standard Insurance is a great agency to do business with and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs affordable car insurance.

They used to be helpful and thorough but now theyre careless with misspellings of names and keying in the wrong apartment number even after youve been asked three times. They no longer issue you a temporary insurance card with all the drivers listed. I was given a paper with my name, the insurance companys address, todays date. It did not have my husbands name listed but they assured me he was in the system and the paper did not state the start and expiration date of the insurance, and most importantly the policy number was not listed. The agent called this paper a binder. She said it was the temporary insurance card. If so, WHERE WAS THE POLICY NUMBER, ALL DRIVER NAMES, AND EXPIRATION DATE OF CAR INSURANCE. It seems their procedures have changed and after my insurance expires with them I plan on renewing with another insurance company.

No customer service even being with them for many years (8-9 years). Glad I finally changed. They never even wished me to come back. They just take your money. Disappointing now I wont go back.

Standard Insurance continues to email us Docu-Sign documents, requiring signatures, but the persons named in the document has no association with us...none.I have notified the document senders everytime and reported that the document is not correct. After the 3rd time I was sent the document, I made Standard Insurance aware that I considered the practice non-caring at best, and borderline harassment! Their reply was the same as the previous 2 times they sent the documents...nothing. Not even so much as as an acknowledgement that they received my messages.No response on the 1st email...No response on the 2nd email...No response on the 3rd email...No response on the 4th email...And now,No response on the 5th email.Canceling our policy!If Standard Insurance doesnt care enough to respond to my messages, then I have little confidence that they will respond if I have an accident and am forced to file a claim.

Their website is outdated. At this age of technology, instant quotes are the thing needed to compete with our companies, with Standard Insurances price quote process online - you have to wait for them to send you something in the US mail (not even by email). Plus I went through the rigamarole of filling out their form online but NEVER got anything nor heard from anybody. If this is the way they try to drum up business, they will be left in the dust by the rest of the insurance industry.

Theyre only open the claims Monday-fri 8-5. So if you have an accident in car or at home on the weekend youre in trouble. Also they decided to charge fees after I cancelled my policy. Stay away, it isnt worth saving $10/mo
