This is my second time using Starkey’s Service Center after moving to Dallas 2 years ago, they were recommended by a colleague of mines. As a single female I appreciate the care and information the team at Starkey’s provides me with. My car was having some steering issues and they diagnosed the problem within a few hours, repaired it over 2 days and recommended I get one additional part repaired to continue the longevity of my investment. They truly treat you like family here, they are priced fair and will even provide you with a ride free of charge to a destination while your care is being repaired!! Amazing!! I highly recommend them and will continue to be a loyal customer during my time in Dallas.

I had a minor car emergency pop up when I ran over something. I wanted to get back to Ft. Worth to get it fixed, so the folks at Starkeys helped me temporarily solve the problem, showed me the parts I could order to fix it on my own, and then wouldnt let me charge them for the effort. I was incredibly impressed and wanted to show my appreciation by posting a review (which I basically never do). It was refreshing to work with a car repair company that wanted to help me and not just find everything possible to charge me for. Thanks Starkeys!

The old bait and switch on priceThen threatened to keep my vehicle if i didnt pay the new unauthorized price.Avoid this place.And to find out the plastic undercarriage they removed was not replaced properly and came off while on freeway the 2nd time it was driven after the repair.They refuse to do anything and will not even answer any phone calls.Complete disaster and scam artists

The service here is great. I came here to renew my registration and have my car inspected. There was no line and it took them MAYBE 20minutes to finish everything up. I will definitely consider coming back here next year when my registration is due. Highly recommended 👍🏼

I am sad to report this, but Ive had two very NEGATIVE experiences with Starkeys on Davis, and I feel compelled say something.I should say first that I had had a positive experience with them in the past. They did a great job on my wifes Hondas brakes, which made me pretty happy to have found an extremely local auto shop that I had hoped that I could trust and use long-term. So, of course when my friends car started to have problems starting, I suggested that he take it to Starkeys.Before we took it in, having had some experience with auto repair, I had traced the problem the best I could to the starter solenoid. I took it to Starkeys told them what I thought was wrong, and they said theyd check it out. I was perplexed when they called and said that their comprehensive computer testing indicated that the problem was the alternator (generally, an alternator problem will result in a dead battery, which is a problem the car never had). I told them that I thought that was unlikely, but they insisted. I asked if they would guarantee that their fix would fix the problem, to which they replied yes. You can probably guess the rest of the story; after a $475 alternator replacement, the car came home and still had the exact same problem. When we took it back, they wanted to charge us again to find the additional problem. In the end, they could not find the real problem, and charged my friend $475 to fix a problem that the car never had. To this day, my friends car has the same intermittent starting problem.The next experience was with my daughters cars air conditioning. I took it in because it was not blowing cold. They said that it had a leak at the filler valve, and charged me to fix it and charge the A/C. Shortly thereafter, the A/C was no longer blowing cold. I took it back to them, and they told me that theyd be charging me $$ to figure out what is wrong. I objected, saying that they had told me that theyd found the leak, repair it, and re-filled the freon, and that if it was not blowing cold they had failed to fix it. A short back-and-forth resulted. I realized during that exchange that I no longer trusted them to repair my cars. I told the lady never mind, and she said great and walked away.The bottom line is that I have lost trust in their ability to diagnose, repair and stand behind their work. I hope this is helpful.

I come here for my yearly inspection. Service is always courteous, to the point, and efficient. You wait about as long as youre told you can expect to wait. If youre going in for an inspection and theres a wait, expect to be expected to wait at the shop. I dont think theyll allow you to drop off and come back.

Been using Starkeys for more than 15 years with no issues on my vehicles. A recent service showed some issues that needed further diagnostic and repair work. Starkeys worked to give me a quick diagnosis for the fix, expedited the required parts and prioritized the repair to save me renting a vehicle for the day to pick up my kids. Great communication and service. Would happily recommend.

I am very sad to write this review, as we were so hopeful to have found a great, trustworthy shop in our neighborhood. The experience we had with the customer service at Starkeys was beyond disappointing. We had break work done, and upon returning home, realized that we were not handed the tire lock upon completion of service. We called the shop, and the admin lady insisted that the lock was in the passenger seat of the vehicle; despite searching for over an hour, we still could not locate the lock. We were told that we could bring the car to the shop for the technicians to look, but that we would be charged for the time spent looking for the piece... we were at a complete loss and needed to locate the lock, so took the car up to the shop for them to look. One of the technicians found it in a completely different area of the car than we were told. Instead of being happy over finding the missing piece (we sure were!) we were basically told I told you so. There was zero acknowledgment that it was found in a completely different area of the car, and we were told not to bring our business to them anymore...that was perhaps the most shocking part! I cant speak to the quality of work yet (as we just got the car back), but the lack of humility and customer care was unlike any I have ever experienced.

They treat you bad they think they are a police officer.,very expensive the mechanic jobs.,the employees dont treat you right.,i just dont comeback anymore.,😤😡

Got me in and out real quick for inspection which was great. Kid that did inspection though drive too fast out the parking lot and I could hear the bottom of my front bumper scrape. Was not happy about that. It was kinda reckless.

I have used Starkeys Service Center since the 1970s When it was a Texaco Station as well. I am treated like family. Our cars, and plenty of them through the years, have been serviced there from bumper to bumper - roof to tires. One reason I can drive cars over 10 years on average is the quality service I receive there. Presently I have one that is on its 14th year another beginning its 8th.

Kind folks who gave me an honest price for good work on my car. Never for a moment did I was getting work done that didnt need to happen. Will definitely use them again.

They are honest and really do try to give you a good deal. Ive been going there for 2 years now and I have family friends who have been coming here for over 10. They tell you exactly whats wrong and will provide only the services you want. Ive been doing a lot of repairs on my own but they are awesome enough to find out the root cause and then give me tips on how to fix it myself if its tricky. Great, trustworthy mechanics and would definitely recommend!

I was driving to work and my car shut down off the freeway. I had it towed to Starkeys and they found a crack in my radiator. They were able to get the radiator replaced that same day and was surprised to have it done at a good fair price. I have been going there for over the past few years now to have maintenance and other things done. I would highly recommend trying them out. Located off of Davis and Kings Hwy in Oak Cliff.

We got off the truck and simply said that we had an air conditioning problem and the guy immediately began being rude saying that they were going on lunch break and got mad as if we somehow knew it was their lunch break and decided to interrupt. He shrugged us off and just walked away before I could finish. I know it doesn’t sound bad but there are polite ways to say things, and there are rude ways to say things and this is one of the rudest encounters I have had in customer service.

Great place with real mechanics. Brought in my 78 ford for inspection and it lost spark, so glad it happened here and not in the middle of nowhere. Diagnosed it and got me back on the road in a day. For a distributor, module, and labor the price cant be beat.

This is a great small-town-feel auto shop. I have been impressed by them multiple times. Fast, fair service. One time, I was having a problem with my Jeep Grand Cherokee overheating. I barely made it there and told them what was going on and a few of the guys dropped what they were doing, showed me how to keep it from happening again and sent me on my way in 15 minutes without charging me anything. Gotta love finding a mechanic you can trust and depend on.

They replaced two brake pads. Great service initially. The next day I heard some rattling in the front left wheel. So, I stopped in to see if theyd be willing to make sure everything was tight. The first thing out of the guys mouth was you must have brought us the wrong parts. Seriously??? Never will I spend another dollar here and Ill tell everyone about this.

Ive been taking my jeep(s) to Starkeys for about 20 years and they have done right by me. Honest and mechanic dont always go together, but these guys really are.

Called to get estimate on a spark plugchange just for 4 spark plugs and he got rude said he didnt want to deal with it if I didnt want to change them all which I already chnaged the others already just cant reach the other 4 in the back..and he got a really bad attitude that minimum of 250.00 $ hes other of hid mind... Rude rude and not a appropriate price..

I had an alternator installed and they fixed my vehicle like it was brand new very grateful and thankful

This was absolutely the worst experience of my life. My tire blew out and I pulled in hoping that they could help me. They immediately started talking to me like I was stupid and the man actually told me that I didnt know what kind of tires I had and that I didnt know anything about my truck. He hopped into my trick and started searching for the key to unlock my tires (without my permission or telling me what he was looking for) even though I tried to explain multiple times that my tires didnt have locks on them. I left the shop in tears when he told me to go to a discount tires or firestone and maybe they could help me since I didnt know anything so he couldnt help me.

I have been using Starkeys Service Center for almost 30 years. Fair pricing and great work. Plus that they sell Amsoil Synthetics.
