My old sewing machine recently broke and I took it to Barnes to see about repairs. It turned out a new machine was a better fit and I ended up with a great new Brother machine. M. was a super help and I feel like I got very helpful service and was able to apply trade-in value to my new purchase. I am looking forward to taking a class or two!

I went to Barnes on a recommondation of a friend to fix a embroidery machine. 3 years and 3 different machine purchases later I will NOT go anywhere else. It may be an hour from my house but the service and qualtiy there is worth an even longer drive. I could not have grown my embroidery business with out them!

Oh my gosh!!! Was given an older machine and looking for a part. Was so glad they were honest about service and pricing! Totally upfront and helping me learn to set up the new machine I ended up buying. I am not at all upset with the service. Honesty is what keeps me coming back to a store. And my mother used to go there when I was little for her sewing needs. This store has been there for 41 yrs! Now its my turn to help this store stay open! Im so excited they are still around! I just hope I dont go broke! Definitely will keep going back, just will have to learn to pace myself! Lol all I can say is slow and steady wins the race! I cant wait to return! Just purchased a new Brothers sewing machine. Since we are in lock down the store has order by phone service and pick up at the door. Went without a hitch. The people are very nice and the salesperson, Melissa did not high pressure me into buying the most expensive either. The young lady who answers the phone was very nice and was eager to see that we were taken care of. Drove up, they loaded it in the care and we were gone. Great prices and very friendly staff. Give them a try.

I have purchased a few machines here before buying a used Baby Lock sewing machine from them a few years ago. I had it serviced just back in June and had not used it much. But just days outside of my warranty, it was having the same problem. Because I don’t use it much I hadn’t caught it sooner. Took it in, they said no worries, serviced my machine. Went to pick it up it was marked under warranty “no charge”. Because of the honesty, service, awesome deals, and great people, my business is here when looking for a machine. Barnes is really a wonderful place for quilters! They have the best machines and they give you lessons on how to use your new machine, as well. Recently I took my Juki in for cleaning and I was impressed with their COVID 19 precautions and safety procedures. Everyone is very friendly!!

One afternoon I called the State rd store for a part to my sewing machine and yes they had what I needed. When I got there the price was a few bucks more than I had. Without asking the owner gave me the part and said come back when I have all the money together. I tried to give him what cash I did have and he refused saying just bring it in when I have it together. Not quoting me a price over the phone the owner felt bad that I came up and didnt have enough money. Im sure they dont make a habit out of extending credit to complete strangers. But I felt I had to share this story. Great people. Ill always remember act of kindness. Thanks Barnes Sewing Center you have a costumer for life.

Been a customer for 40 yrs when they were around the corner from me. Now, I moved 100 miles away and they are still my dealer of choice.

I have been shopping at Barnes for years. I have purchased multiple machines all the way from a multi-needle to Serger to embroidery machines. ALWAYS friendly, fair, and attentive customer service. Repair shop has also been perfect with every experience. I highly recommend Barnes and would not go anywhere else!!!

I dropped off my Brother sewing machine which works in perfect condition and it needed a pleasure foot replaced.Before he even looked at it he tried to sell me a new machine.Then he said it would take three days to look at it and 3 weeks to work on it.I went back and got my machine. I dropped my sewing machine off for service. The associate was great. To the point and didnt try to upsell me which I rely appreciated. 7 to 10 day turnaround on my machine. Excellent!

My machine was making a clicking noise and brought it in for service on Friday. Told them I really needed by Monday if possible.“Chris” call on Monday and said my machine it’s done! Ask how much it cost for the service, he said nothing! This is to show how great the service was not is because he didn’t charge me but to take the customer needs and turn it around quickly.Thank you Chris!

My very first experience with Barnes was this past January. I purchased a used Quattro machine and so far I am loving it! Barnes service policy and their attention to making sure you are happy with your products far exceed other sewing machine services and companies I called to talk to about my machines. Bought a used brother pe770 here. Its fantastic! When you purchase an embroidery machine they give you several free goodies and a lesson on how to operate your machine. They even have commercial ones available! A littler pricy on some things, but the knowledge they give you when you buy products is worth it.

The staff is so rude.I wanted to investigate buying an embroidery machine, to ensure I was buying an appropriate one, to see if they had any used that would be more affordable.They didnt listen to anything I said, trying to upsell me from a $600 new machine to $1000 used machine. Then they tried to lecture me on how terrible the machine I wanted was, but didnt bother to offer me any other options. Then proceeded to tell me how the machine I wanted would not work at all and tried to sell me a commercial machine for SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!I dont even understand how any sales person thinks they can sell an item for ten times the amount of what the buyer can pay.They were so rude, uninformative, and off base that I just left the store.

One of the rudest owners I have met. All I wanted to do was embroider lettering onto a cloth. Rather than take my money and do as I requested he chose to belittle me and was stuck on stupid about the words commercial use. Previous meet was treated with the same rude behavior. I didnt want to go back there but was closer than going to Youngstown. Needless to say I regretted going there and tomorrow I am going to Youngstown. Seems like many others have as well. The only reason this place gets a 1 star rating is because nothing lower is available.
