DFS is second to none! Nick and his coaching staff are professional, experienced, and highly dedicated to improving the health and overall fitness of every person who enters the gym. As a former collegiate athlete, I was looking for a gym that not only pushed me physically, but mentally as well. The workouts at DFS definitely get the job done! A year ago I tore my ACL and went through several months of physical therapy. I can honestly say that without the help of the coaches at DFS, I wouldn’t have had a speedy recovery, nor the strength or endurance I have today. Nick and his staff took my recovery seriously and got me back on track. If you’re willing to show up and put in the work, DFS will get you where you need to be! I am always impressed with how diligently Nick and his coaching staff work in order to bring the best workouts and a positive mindset into the gym every day. I couldn’t be more happy to be a part of such a solid community that is both highly motivating and encouraging of all health/fitness goals!
Where to even begin?Ive never really spent that much time in the gym because it was always intimidating to me. Most gyms I belonged to in the past had that meathead mentality that if you cant lift at your max and set PRs every day, why are you even here bro? Thats not motivating to me. Especially because Im not that guy and never will be. I also found myself in situations where there was little guidance in terms of proper lifting and form, and I was pretty much clueless.And then I reached out to DFS and as cliche as it sounds, it was life changing! Coach Nick and team made me feel welcomed and at ease from the get go. They took the time to listen to my story and learn about my goals. They walked me through each workout every step of the way, explaining each move and giving demos and mods when needed. Not once did I ever feel embarrassed to ask a question about a specific move, etc. That wasnt always the case at other gyms.I think what makes DFS so awesome is the support system within - coaches and members! Everyone is super friendly, helpful and supportive. Whether youre deadlifting 50lbs or 500lbs, they are always in your corner cheering you on! Its a great team environment and something I honestly did not expect to find at a gym!Ive been a DFS member for a little over 2 years now and have made some pretty awesome strides by my standards, but I still have a long way to go. I plan on being a lifer at this gym because of the excellent workout plans, AWESOME COACHES, and the team atmosphere!!To sum it up, this experience has been life changing. Its motivated me in ways I never dreamed of and most importantly, it gave me the self-confidence that I never knew I had. There arent enough words to describe just how awesome DFS is!Thanks coaches! Where do I even start? I started looking into gyms when I wanted to take my health seriously again two years ago. As most people know, starting a new fitness routine can be scary - especially when you have a serious anxiety disorder. But, when I walked in, I felt comfortable immediately, despite scary looking equipment and crazy strong people. But, Nick pronounced my name correctly and greeted me right away!To start, I couldn’t even do push ups. I started doing them on the highest side of a plyo box and even that was hard. I never felt intimidated or “less than” because of my starting point. I was so terrified and anxious of lifting that Nick had to drag me over to the barbell racks.Now, here I am able to do multiple pushups on the floor and throwing weight on the bars myself. If you would’ve told me I’d be able to do the things I can do today back then, I’d never have believed it. Nick, Chris, and the coaching team works with everyone individually even in a group setting, you’ll never feel like a just another client. There’s a lot of emphasis on doing the moves correctly and I always feel safe and guided. I always appreciate Nick’s no BS mindset too. No fads, no crazy programming (okay, seal walks still suck), just hard work and consistency is what you need to be successful - which, for me, is sustainable.Not only did I gain a heckuva lot of strength, but I got a whole bunch of confidence. Grateful for DFS!
Ill put it this way, every individual Ive seen show up to this gym with any consistency has shown dramatic results. Whether its weight loss, muscle gain, or endurance fitness depends on the individuals goals, but if youre willing to put in the work, Nick and his team can help you achieve it. Excellent programming, personalized coaching and great atmosphere.
I have made more progress towards my fitness goals in 2 months going to DFS than I have made in 4+ years trying to do it on my own. I had persistent lower back issues for many years that would get in the way of doing certain lifts. Not only did Nick initially modify my workouts to prevent injury, he spent time teaching me how to do the lifts I couldn’t do before, and now I can do them pain free. I didn’t think I would ever be able to say that. Going to DFS has been one of the best decisions I’ve made.Side note: if you are nervous about going to a gym because you have no idea what you are doing, know that in addition to knowing his stuff, Nick is super welcoming and friendly. I felt like a part of the community from the start.
Nick is a phenomenal coach. His programming is spot on for whatever your goal is. He makes sure the keep you fitter and stronger while also mitigating unnecessary risk for injuries. On top of this amazing gym is the community that he has built. It becomes a sense of family at the gym with everyone both pushing you to the limits while also watching out for you. I have tried a multitude of gyms both here and in previous states I have lived in and this is by far the best one!
I had surgery on my ankle about 3 years ago and the recovery process just wasnt going the way I wanted. As a Weekend Warrior athlete I was beginning to lose hope that I would be able to get back to where I wanted. I knew I need some strength training to get my legs back in balance, but I found myself just poking around the gym without much of a plan or motivation. I decided to start working with Nick and I got way more than I bargained for - and I love it!No doubt youre going to work hard and sweat probably more than you are used to at your current gym because Nick is going to creates programs that are challenging (squats anyone?), always changing (typically about a 3 week rotation) and fun (sometimes we create our own conditioning programs on the fly).After working with Nick for nearly 3 years I cant believe how much money I wasted on local gym memberships.One of the best aspects of the gym is its community - its encouraging, fun and competitive. There is a good balance of people in their 20s, 30s and 40s; male and female; beginner to advanced. If youre a beginner Nick will have you go through a Foundations class to get you through your initial soreness and acquainted with the basic movements.Some time slots are more in-demand than others, so until he gets some bigger space, youll need to be proactive with scheduling and make sure that you dont skip because youre not in the mood.
I joined DFS about a year ago and it was the best decision I made for myself that year. Nick is a great coach and helps keep you motivated towards your fitness goals. The workouts are tough, but very rewarding. Overall, an A+ experience.
I always knew of DFS gym since I passed it daily but had the assumption that it was a private gym for only guy, I was way off! One evening I was driving past and saw Nick (the owner) out in front of the gym with a group of women in what looked like a boot camp. Having previously taken a boot camp at another facility and knowing I loved it, I immediately reached out to him. This was right after a double hernia repair surgery for me, and with that came some excess weight gain, I was desperate to get off! I would be lying if I didnt say that initially I only intended to take the 6 week boot camp course and return to planet fitness (for financial reasons). As with anything new you do I was nervous to get started but Nick was so incredibly awesome and all the ladies I did boot camp with welcomed me right in, were supportive, and at all different levels of fitness/ ability. Before I knew it I was down 30 lbs and signing up for my next 6 week course. Like I mentioned I was also recovering from intensive surgery and Nick was so accommodating with it. He knew how to help me push myself and challenge myself without doing harm to my stomach. He is great with any injuries or issues you come across while working out, he will switch things up, focus on a different area or modify the move to avoid the discomfort or injury. Ive been with Nick and DFS for about a year and a half now and I couldnt imagine doing it any other way. I was always the person that struggled with weight, with staying active, finding what I liked to do for exercise and sticking with it. After being with DFS I am so much more active outside of the gym on my own, I have never been more happy and confident with my body, I am in the best shape of my life and Im pretty darn strong too! Nick holds me accountable, challenges me to push myself both inside the gym and out. He has a lot of knowledge and is educated /trained on nutrition and how to do the movements the correct way. I would refer and recommend anyone I know to go to him, he is the best! Best investment youll ever make is joining DFS gym.

As a life long athlete who had fallen into some bad habits, I was looking for a kickstart to revive my regular exercise program and found DFS. I could tell after my first workout that Nick is extremely knowledgeable and personable and even though I was sore I could not wait to go back again. In the few weeks since I started, I have learned tons of new moves, improved my form, and expanded my understanding of how we can use our diet to fuel our bodies in the best possible way. Nicks workouts are always creative and fun and he constantly focuses on motivating you to challenge yourself.I highly recommend the Foundations class series to anyone looking to try out DFS. It will give you a great feel for the gym and what Nick can do for you!

Nick Haught, owner trainer at DFS gym has really pushed me mentally and physically in such positive ways making me feel capable of accomplishing anything!! Everyone is like family, we push each other in such positive motivation that EVERY workout is FUN!! I couldnt ask for anything more. I sweated more the 1st week here than I have my whole life!! Nick gets excited and loves seeing the sweat pour off all his clients!! As the saying goes sweat is fat crying!! Come try for yourself, you wont be disappointed!!!
