If you are short or not very limber dont arrange to have your vehicle delivered if you drive the mechanic / runner back... he has a lifted pickup and the cab floor was above my waist

I finally found mechanics I can trust! They had the opportunity to run up my bill because of part cost but they were able to hunt down a part way cheaper. They worked hard to save me money. Then my wife car failed to start, they found the problem and it was a grounding issue to the fuel pump. I know that had I taken it to most other places they would of replaced the pump only to find that was not the issue and trace it from there and charge me for all of it. Everyone hates going taking a car for service but at least I can be comfortable that when the need arises I have mechanics who I can trust and who look out for me. Thanks to all of you at Gearheads!

Called the business two days in a row and left two messages for a Nick in order to schedule a restoration estimate. I have yet to receive a call back.* New phone system? I called July 29th and July 30th. When I called July 30th the employee that answered the phone stated that he would hand deliver a note to Nick containing my name, contact number and vehicle year/make that I was interested in restoring. Funny that it took roughly one hour to respond to my one star review.

Gearheads performed a performance clutch and flywheel upgrade on my Saab. Not only did they do it quickly but even made some modifications (I approved them) necessary to make it work correctly. On top of that, the price was great! Will definitely be back.

My car dealership referred me to this place because they were booked. This place was 110% wonderful! They didnt try to rip my mouth out because I was a woman (yes some mechanics still do that). They fought and won with my warranty company, car was repaired the SAME day, and they checked a few days later to confirm my Jeep was doing good. This place was amazing. Sidebar: I came back days later because I couldnt find something in my Jeep. He came right out and helped me. I love this place and referring others.

The reason I initially went to GEARHEADS is because they are the only source of AMSOIL products in my area, which I use exclusively in my vehicles. I have a 2013 Camaro which is my baby and I had researched the car intensively - mechanical specs and known issues etc. So when I went in for an oil change, I asked them a bunch of questions specific to my Camaro (that I already knew the answers to) and they were spot on with everything. I was impressed. They always just get to it and get the job done...correctly...the first time. When I bring my car in for service. Ive never paid more than their work estimates and have often paid less. Nick and Eric are always open and honest, I was there when a lady came in for a second opinion on her brakes after a dealership told her they were shot and she needed everything replaced and I heard Nick tell her that she still had over 80% of her pads left on the brakes and they were in great shape and they would not recommend her getting the service because she didnt need anything done...they could have really ripped her off, she knew nothing about cars. How often do you hear of a shop doing that? I am very peculiar about who touches my car, but I wouldnt hesitate to recommend GearHeads to anyone ... theyve done me right too many times.

I was having a problem with my door latch causing my interior lights to come on whenever I made a turn. The guys at Gearheads quickly found out the cause and fixed it. They were great! The service was friendly and prompt and affordable! I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Fair, honest, and knowledgeable. I had issues with some of the sensors and wiring harnesses in my car and they kept me informed throughout the entire inspection and repair. I spent a whole week trying to figure out which sensors/wiring had gone bad and these guys figured it out and repaired it in a day.

Gearheads did great work bringing my Jeep back to life after the steering ball joint broke. After 214,000 miles, I wasn’t sure it could be repaired, but the shop did great work and the Jeep drives like new. These are serious professional mechanics, and they do seriously professional work!

Update: You can see previous post a year ago. The fuel issue was fixed. This was a new ignition problem. It took awhile to diagnose, mainly because, with older cars it doesnt show on diagnostic what the issue is. They figured it out and fixed it (which I knew they would) It is again running like a champ. I would seriously only trust GearHeads with my 94 TransAm. They kept me informed, talked over what the next steps were, how much it would cost (so no surprises) and are extremely friendly. Thank you again. We are back on the road.(Previous post -2020) I have a 94 TransAm and have been having problems for awhile, took it to Gearheads. They diagnosed the problem, fixed it and it didnt cost me an arm and leg. I am so excited, now I can drive it anywhere without the worry of it not starting. Eric would call me before they would do any work, so I would know the price and details ahead of time. Thank you Gearheads!! (This was a fuel pump issue)

I took my vehicle here after it was recommended by several people. I dropped my vehicle off at approximately 8 am. I asked them to look into a squeaking noise that I had been hearing for several months and also a rear tire that was wearing unevenly. Around 1pm I was informed that they thought I needed an alignment, which would take a couple hours to do and my vehicle was next in line to be put on the machine. They said it should be done around 3 and they would call me. Around 4 I still hadnt received a call. I obviously needed a ride to the garage because my vehicle was being repaired and I could not get one any later than this time. I arrived at the garage and stood in the lobby waiting for at least 5 minutes without being acknowledged because the guys were talking shop. When they were done with their shop talk they told me my vehicle hadnt even been put on the alignment machine yet. I said I would wait because I didnt have a ride. I sat in the lobby until 5:30. They finally came out and said that they couldnt do the alignment and listed several other things that were wrong with the vehicle. They did not have the parts to fix it. They charged me $50 for the work and said they would send me a quote for the repairs that needed done. That was 18 days ago and I still havent received a quote from them. Needless to say Im not going back.

We moved to the Akron area 8 years ago and when we asked around for a reputable mechanic, all we ever heard was Gearheads! We have not been disappointed. My husband usually deals with Eric (Customer Service/appts/quotes, etc) but with the covid-thing, he is housebound and I went to Gearheads to wait for new brakes and oil change. I waited in a corner of the lobby area for a few hours. In that time, the phone rang non-stop, the mechanics came in to update Eric on what they were working on, and while there were not many people coming in/out, the few that did were treated like old friends! I am a sales/customer service trainer by trade and Eric is one of the best Ive ever seen in action! He was amazing, giving every caller and person a friendly word or two. As for me, there was an issue with the calipers (whatever they are!) and he told me they would try their best to minimize the cost by working with the situation and not have to order additional parts.....they did and this saved me over $200! They have the knowledge and class to work on the fancy cars that cost as much as my house, but they are down-to-earth and realize that saving money is important to most everyone. Way to go Gearheads, with a special shout-out to Eric - you are rockin that front desk, my man! Keep up the great work!

Gearheads got me in when I needed it, changed out my rotors and pads and the brakes now feel like they should. This is where Ill take my Corvette from now on.

This place was highly recommended to me for my vehicle repairs. After paying almost $1000 for an oil leak repair 3 weeks later it started leaking again and they refused to fix it. Instead they put the blame on the dealership I had it at prior to the repair. I am out $1000 now and still have an oil leak. Will be contacting the better business bureau and I wont be recommending this place to anyone.

I had a hard time finding a mechanic that was willing to fix more complex issues until a business associate told me about Gear Heads. Their mechanics are top notch. I had another great customer experience last week when I dropped my truck off to diagnose an odd sound. They figured it out, had the part in stock, fixed it the same day and charges me less that I was expecting. Tony seems to know about the problem before I can even finish explaining it; thats the kind of first-class expertise you can expect from these guys.
