From caring for our concerns about costs, respect and dignity for my dad, to the professionals who prepped my dad for viewing, for being only a phone call away for ANYTHING, to the personalized service... my mom and us were blown away with how my dad looked. They clean shaved him and cut his hair and everything around the room was catered to him and honoring him. It’s hard for me to put it all in one review. Jeff even rearranged his schedule to make sure we could have our viewing the time we wanted and he could be there with us. Simply put, 5⭐️5 ♦️ !!!!!! Brian and Jeff are professionals that are very good at what they do. They surprised me with the absolutely beautiful aesthetic job that they did for my husband’s wake and Memorial Service. They really listened to what kind of a person he was and personalized everything. Everyone was remarking on the beautiful job they did. My mother and I appreciated the assistance, kindness and attention to details that JJ Duffy Funeral Home gave us as we celebrated the life of my father. During Covid-19 this gave us extra comfort. They even created a lovely display that captured my father’s love of vegetable gardening. A lovely online photo memorial put to music helped us share my father’s life with loved ones near and far that were not able to be with us. Friends really appreciated that and this left us with a lovely remembrance. My dad who died at home on hospice was picked up within the hour on Christmas Eve and respectfully brought out in a velvet bag which helped with closure. The funeral home which is on one level was also handicapped accessible.

The JJ Duffy Funeral Home could not have made this difficult process any easier. The last the thing you want to do while grieving is fuss around with tying up administrative items. Jeffrey and Brian made is so easy, relieving any additional stress we did not need. Not only did they take care of social security, but with our Dad being a veteran of the Vietnam War, Jeffrey and Brian took care of the arrangements to have our father buried at Arlington National Cemetery. On top of it all, they planted a tree in honor of my father and have been checking up with me consistently to make sure I am doing ok. I wish all businesses I deal with could adopt this people first mentality. Kudos to Jeffrey and Brian for the excellent work they do, especially in these times of mourning.

This funeral home went above and beyond to make sure everything was as it should be for my husbands Celebration of Life. It was that and so much more. I am so happy that I did not go anywhere else. And the best part is the services do not end with the funeral...the aftercare is amazing.

My moms wake was here yesterday. I was shocked how good she looked. I know they had to have used makeup but I couldnt tell. She looked amazing and Jeff goes above and beyond anything I couldve imagined. The blanket he made me is such a comfort to me. Theres not enough space here for me to covey how grateful I am to this place. Other people who came couldnt believe how perfect everything was and he handled everything immediately and is just the most amazing person. Ill never go anywhere else. Right from the first phone call they made everything very easy and offered lots of helpful information. Everyone was impressed with how they took the few personal items we provided and captured the true spirit of our father through memorial displays and keepsakes. The day went perfectly and the staff could not have been more professional and supportive. We were also surprised to receive a follow up some days after the service to make sure we had what we needed or had any further questions. I have never been so shocked and brought to tears (in a good way!) by my experience. I had no idea what to expect and when I walked it, I felt like my father set up the room himself. It was everything he loved in life. Everyone that came in was breathless. Amazing job. Amazing staff.

The staff at JJ Duffy were a tremendous help when we needed to set up pre-purchase arrangements for my mother and again when it was time to initiate the process. They were very understanding and accommodating of the Covid situation and offered up many alternatives to our original plans. They kept / keep us informed of every step of the process during these trying times and have even reached out to us during “non-business” times to see how we are doing.

My husband and I can’t thank Brian and his team enough.We lost our unborn baby a few weeks ago, and the whole process has been so smooth and humbling. He contacted Resurrection Cemetery and coordinated everything with them too.We got to choose from beautiful urns that we had engraved with our daughter’s name on it and had the funeral this morning.Brian was with us from the beginning to the end, staying with my husband, 2.5 year old, and priest during the funeral this morning (masked and professional). Because of the nature of our unborn daughter’s death, and being a young family, did this all free of charge.We are so incredibly moved by him and his team. JJDuffy did an outstanding job with my farther’s services (wake, funeral and burial) and many other family members as well. Jeff, Brian and Dennis were all very professional and made it a seamless process when we needed it most. They went over the top to make my dad’s celebration of life a memorial one. They prepared the parlor beautifully and surprised us with many customized things my dad liked and loved to do. Many others around the area claim to be of better value but I would have to disagree...they’ll will just rush you in and out, and then bill you. Working in the end of life industry, jj Duffy has always been my favorite. They personalize every wake/funeral to the fullest. My father recently passed and was cremated at an out of state funeral home. Words cannot Express how upset I was with that out of state funeral home. I brought my daddys remains to JJ Duffy and felt like I was with family. They fixed the mistakes made by that out of state funeral home, treated my fathers remains with the utmost respect, and I finally felt comfort. JJ Duffy is excellent, in every way possible. When you lose someone unexpectedly has to be one of the most difficult life experiences. When my nephews, brother and I met with Jefe, Brian and Dennis Bernardo of J.J. Duffys Funeral Home to discuss arrangements for our loved one they made us feel so relaxed and at ease. They walked us through all the necessary steps never making any of us feel rushed or pressured. They asked what appeared at the time to be simple random questions. However everyone of us the day of the wake were totally astonished on what the Duffy Team came up with honoring our loved one right down to the smallest details that they obtained from those simple random questions. It feels quite odd to rate a funeral home, but here goes. Every funeral or wake I have attended here has been very well done.Easy to reach by two different RIPTA lines, but the evening runs of the bus may end too early to let a rider get to the service and home again. (You could probably get to a service easily enough but may need to request a ride home. Or Über.)

I was intrusted with my mothers final wishes and arrangements.. My Entire family has been arranged by jj Duffy and that was the Absolute easiest understanding I knew, totally nothing at all about what was ahead of me.. I went down to the funeral home and honestly felt at ease from the very greeting to me. I was genuinely guided about my options and wishes.
