My son and I are very happy with Double Dragon Tae Kwon Do. Hes a busy body and its hard to find an activity for him that can keep him engaged, excited, and interested. These classes do all 3!Hes never complained once about having to go to class, he loves that theres an official uniform, theres plenty of running and exercise to get his energy out, the classes are long enough for a 4 year old to get tired but not so long that he disengages. The teachers are so nice and so attentive. They memorize the kids names almost immediately and each one gets personal attention in each class. There are 3 teachers per class so the groups stay small, personal, and fun.They encourage the kids so much and arent afraid to correct them when they arent paying attention. I love the discipline they teach. My son even says Thank you Sir! while were out and about shopping, etc.This is a really great class and with the frequency of the classes (twice a week), you get a lot of bang for your buck!!

My experience with my two kids at this school is extraordinary. My 11 year old son, Mateo started his experience at Tae Kwon do at 5 years of age having a great time and helped his behavior. He was insecure, anxious and this school helped him to be the secure kid he is today. The best place to learn Tae Kwon Do because it helps with respect, discipline, behavior and helps them be confident. I recommend it 100% 😊😊😊😊

Double Dragon offers Adult classes that work you hard, but will completely change your life. Most people think of students start taekwondo early in life, but Im here to tell you that starting as an adult is wonderfully rewarding. In my current job, I dont get much praise and I often cannot see the impact of my work. At Double Dragon, I actively see improvement every class. Grand Master Kim, Master Sun, and Master Kenny work you hard, but fairly, teaching you discipline, respect, and techniques by building you up one class at a time. Nothing will improve your confidence, push away the 9-5 blues, or be as fun as this class and the people in it! The relationships built with the masters and your fellow students are carved out of hard work, dedication, and incredibly positive attitudes. It might seem intimidating, but after each class I come away renewed, re-energized, and feeling powerful. I highly encourage anyone to go three times a week. The prices are incredibly fair for the value! The only reason I have to leave is Im moving, but I would take them all with me if I could!

My son has been coming to Double Dragon for less than a year and has gained confidence and listening skills. He is able to follow directions amazingly well and looks forward to doing his best in class and impressing his teachers and friends. The teachers at double dragon are so attentive to children’s needs even for those that are young (my son started when he was 4). They are so patient and implement lots of fun activities that allow the kids to learn and play at the same time. They have a great reward system with stickers and the belt ceremony is always sure to make your child proud of their hard work. All the parents and children become friends and it’s a great environment. We will definitely be customers for years to come.

Double Dragon Tae Kwon Do is a great martial arts school.I am so happy that I finally found this place! The studio is great, parking place is always avaliable, instructors are highly professional.On our first visit we got T-shirt and 4 days trial instead of just one class like at other studios.My daughter loves their instructors. She is always happy to attend the classes.The instructors are always friendly and they try to help me and my daughter to answer all possible questions we have.

My grandougther loves her masters because they are the best. They always there for her. They are really nice and patient. We always feel welcome. They inspired my granddaughter, she said she wants to be a great master like them.She feels so secure when she is in class

Signed my son up around 8 months ago, and we couldnt of been any happier. My son enjoys going to Double Dragon. Master Kenny takes really good care of my son, and makes each class very enjoyable for all the kids there!

My granddaughter has been coming here for 3 yrs now since she was 3yrs old. I want to thank her masters for everything. They are very patient, they encourage her to do better, and they keep up with her grades in school and behavior outside of class. Truly grateful for what she has accomplished. She is currently a brown stripe 👏 and more to go.

My daughter has attended DDTKD for almost 2 years. Excellent coaching. Cannot find anyone more dedicated than the current team of Grand Master Kim, Master Kenny, Master Sun and Master Kevin. My daughter has gained immense confidence and all thanks to them.

Double Dragon has been a wonderful place for my child to grow. My son Alex began in the Little Dragons class at 4 years old and has moved up to the regular class now that he is 5. Alex has high functioning autism and the staff and teachers here have been amazing working with him, it has been wonderful watching him improve and grow. Thank you to everyone at DD Tae Kwon Do for your kindness, patience, discipline and motivation while working with my son. He absolutely loves to come to class and I love to watch him every week.

My kid is not big on exercise, and I wanted him to have the experience of taking a martial art. Grandmaster Kim and his instructors are patient, kind, supportive, and helpful. You do have to sign a year long contract, however that doesnt bother me as it keeps us disciplined to go to the classes every week. Please dont be swayed by the one star reviews. It is a wonderful, family-oriented school.

My son has been going to DDTKD for the last year and we have been so happy with the experience. Its very impressive to see young children (my son was 6 when he started classes) exhibiting such discipline and respect, not to mention breaking boards with their hands and feet. The instructors are top notch--its obvious they really care about the students--they know everyones name from their first class and really take the time to teach them the proper technique. I also loved the flexibility of being able to choose which days to attend during any given week. We just moved away from Culver City and already miss it----if you are interested in martial arts then I highly recommend Double Dragon!

My daughter has been going here since shortly after turning 4 (just under 3 years now), and Loves it. The instructors know how to work with kids at all levels and ages, and truly care about each student. After attending some of thier free Parent classes, I can also see they work great with adults.There was a 1 month period where my daughter didnt attend because we wanted to try a different short term MMA program, and it was Horrible. My daughter was 5 at the time, and The Master in charge pretty much ignored her. When I asked him about it, he literally said Kids that age dont learn, so its not worth my time. I was beyond angry. I had seen my daughter learn so well, and Quickly, while at Double Dragon, so we immediately returned (the other program was supposed to last 2 months).My daughter also had a short break from Tae Kwon Do when she wanted to try Ballet. The instructor of that program was awesome... but my daughter being use to the hard training at Double Dragon, got bored very quickly, and again we returned. Now she goes to class 3-4 times a week, and Never complains about it (even after being in School all day), because she enjoys it so much. Shes a Brown Strip, working hard to earn her Red Belt, and it seems every week I can see constant improvement and growth. I highly recommend this Dojo, and can almost guarantee you will not be disappointed with them.

Masters are GREAT working with EVERY kids. We’re so sad that we move out of this town and so have to leave this school...

I highly recommend Double dragon tae kwon do, I’ve had 3 kids enrolled over the years (2 there currently) and they love it.I love that they are exercising, gaining strength and balance, it’s a bonus that they have fun while they do!Patient, encouraging and fun instructors make my kids feel welcome and confident.My children are focused, disciplined and respectful, double dragon Tae kwon do enhances these qualities, it’s been a wonderful experience for us.

The best TKD school in town!As an adult learner, Ive been looking for a great TKD school with caring and attentive instructors, and a clean, intimate facility.Class sizes are small so a lot of attention is given to each student.They teach proper TKD techniques and forms, as well as self-defense techniques. I see a lot of the kids and younger students having a lot of fun, too.We start off with excellent warm-ups, which include great cardio, stretching, and agility exercises in every lesson.Most importantly, I am content and constantly improving.I am really happy that I found this place.Thank you, Double Dragon TKD.

I really appreciate the efforts that Grand Master Hyun Kim and fellow Master/Senior Instructors bring each and every day to their students. Having trained under Grand Master Kim and eventually receiving my black belt, I owe a great deal of my personal perspective and attitude to the commitment I gave to the art and to him.Grand Master Hyun Kim and his fellow Instructors still live by the traditions of what Tae Kwon Do has to offer to any practitioner: discipline, humility, confidence, respect to name a few. Theres not too many Martial Arts schools around these days where the basis of their foundations are rooted to these teachings and 1 unique style. Even though the techniques are traditional, Grand Master Hyun Kim and fellow Instructors will continue to evolve their technique as see fit set by the World Taekwondo Federation. Any practitioner child or a adult who comes in with an open mind and is willing to learn will gain more than what they first started with. Yes, as a student advances in rank, the techniques do get more challenging and the expectations do get raised. But without these standards, no student will have the notion of success and accomplishment through their hard work. The same can be applied outside of Tae Kwon Do. Grand Master Hyun Kim and fellow Instructors are also great with working with students from infants to adults. Their patience is a true testament to their passion to share the teachings of Tae Kwon Do.
