Stopped with possible brake issues on a trip, guys all came out to see what was happening. Checked everything over and all was good. Super polite and helpful!

Had a broken brake line on my vehicle, and my son in law recommended Dave’s Auto. He said they did good work and we’re good folks. He was right, and I’m really satisfied with the job Dave did.

This was my first time ever going to a repair shop and all I can say is that the staff gave me the best experience and talked me through every single thing with my check engine light. Took my car in cause I heard a grinding noise & I thought it was the brakes. They called me back and said my brakes (& all other parts) were in great shape. Told me some things that might have been the noise I heard but told me everything was good and ok to drive. So impressed with their honesty. Didn’t even charge me anything for looking at it. Friendly staff including the cute cashier/receptionist 😍 They will get my future business for being so honest.

Awesome group of guys. I was on my way cross-country when my check-engine light came on. I placed a short call and they diagnosed my low oil, topped it off and sent me on my way.They could have charged me much more than they did and tried to sell me repairs I didnt need. Absolutely awesome shop; would absolutely recommend for anyone.

He said I needed to get sensor replaced got it back drove for five minutes car literally broke down he also damaged my hood then tried to fix with zip ties don’t go you’ll regret it

A month and a half...that’s how long t took him to tell me that he didn’t know how to fix my car. And he didn’t say it in those words. It started off with an engine replacement. It took almost a month from start to finish to get the engine replaced. During this time I had to get 3 rental vehicles, totaling $500. As I pick up my vehicle from the shop. I received no receipt for the $200 repair. And he stated “aye look out for radiator fluid leaking”. I was dumbfounded but I said okay and internally crossed my fingers and hoped that wasn’t the case. The next morning, I see fluid on my driveway and he tells me that I have to pay for the repair. That same day, my vehicle begins to shake very violent my as I began to accelerate. I take it in to him again and a week later, I get my vehicle back at no cost. As I pull away at closing time on a Friday, my vehicle still shakes violently. I take it into him the following week, and he tells me “I don’t know what to tell you, but take it somewhere else because I’m not fixing it, I don’t like your attitude”. The following week I took it to Perkey’s Repair in Hobart, and they told me that the shaking was caused my multiple coils being bad as a result of the engine being washed upon removal at the junkyard that Dave bought it from. Below is the review that I left for Dave several years ago. I used Dave for roughly 12 years.Past review: Ive used this place recently and one other time in the past and both times I was completely satisfied. Daves knowledgeable efficient to the point and kind. I will definitely use them again and refer to family and friends

He told me that it probably needed front springs and shocks also. I asked if he could give me a price for the rear, and for the suggested parts he thought that I would need. He said he would have to call me back with an estimate. He did, but when asked about what parts he was replacing, he didnt include the rear springs. I said that I wanted them done, that is why I called in the first place.The car bottoms out going over bumps. He said that he would replace them too, and I agreed to have the job done. O dropped the car off the next morning, and left the key in the key drop. I called around 10:30 just to make sure they had got the parts and the job could be completed as he said. I was assured that all the parts were all in, and the job would be done. I was called about 3 hours later by another Dave, who I now know is Daves son. He assured me that the job was done. When I asked him what was done, he didnt know. I asked for the original Dave to call me back, as was told that he didnt know if he would be back or not. I have friends who have a shop next door to Daves Auto repair, and called them, and they assured me that Dave sr. was there. I called back to Daves, and somehow Dave has appeared.He assured me that the car was done. When I asked him what was done he told me front struts and shocks, and rear shocks. I asked him about the rear springs that were asked about, and that were in the original quote, and I was told I didnt need them. I told him that I wanted them put on, and he said he will have to see if he can get them. I was called back by Dave, and told there were no springs available.Before calling this shop, I was going to do this job myself, and found all the parts needed, why cant he? I went to pick up the car, and was charged the price I was given with the rear springs, But there were no springs installed, so I shouldnt be charged. The reason this job was done was to stop the car from bottoming out, and it still does the same thing, bottoming out if there is someone in the backseat. It is a sedan, and should be able to carry passengers. The person at the shop when I went to pick up the car told me that if I wanted the car, I would have to pay the bill that was left for me. I asked what if the work didnt fix the problem, and was told to call Dave on Tuesday. I called, and spoke with Dave jr.,(Dave wasnt there again???), about the car still bottoming out. I was told that there are no springs available for the car, and was hung up on. Funny, I can find them, and can get them.These people do not tell the truth, and do not stand behind their work.Bad business to deal with.

Went to him for a fuel pump he replaced it weeks later same issue they LIED and tried to say they didn’t replace it but i had my receipt so they “put a new one in” this time days later same issue took it to another shop they said my problem was the fuel pump....HORRIBLE SERVICE maybe they pick and choose who they will screw over but I will NEVER recommend them.

Hack!!! Ruined my truck with horrible work and bad service. DO NOT GO HERE!
