The apt itself wasnt bad, pretty nice overall. Carpet definately need replacing. However, the previous occupants must have had several pets judging from the smell. I requested that they shampoo them prior to us moving in, but if they did we couldnt tell. I had to keep a plug in by the door. But they definately charge you for cleaning them when you move out. They will also charge you for damages that you didnt do so make sure you fill out the damage form first thing. I didnt fill it out but took photos that showed the date and time, along with the blue tape that theyre people marked em with, didnt do me any good. No form, theyll keep your money. I get where theyre coming from, but they knew what was damaged prior to us moving in. Theyre just finding a way to keep peoples money. BTW, just two conscientious adults, no kids no pets. I also scrubbed that place from top to bottom when we left and they charged another 125.00 cleaning fee on top of the 125.00 for cleaning carpets that they probably wont do.

I just moved here last week from Vermont. Brooke Woods has been a real pleasure from the get go as far as helping me with everything and going above and beyond the call of duty in doing so. Charleston Place is a great place for me as well as the city of Crossville. 😁

BEWARE ! - anyone who rents a one bedroom on the ground floor will be dealing with three bedroom apartments above you. The walls and floors are paper thin and kids might be running around ALL day and into the night above you. There is nothing you can do if they abide by the quiet time rules. So you are stuck. If you work shifts that require daytime sleep dont even think about this place if on the ground floors.

Warning!!! DANGER! STAY AWAY!IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR STUFFThey just locked the door next door so the people can not get in to get their possessions. Basically illegal.they are currently evicting everyone so they can raise the rent by $300They do not care if you had or have covid they will do all they can to get you out.take notice from all the one star reviews . Pam is a nightmare to work with because she wont the worst of Tennessee is GPM Stay away!

Horrible people who are trying to evict everyone at the sake of raising rent .. iv seen it a dozen times over... they will NOT work with you at all.. do not be 1 day over due or be ready to be evicted

The one we are staying in, until our tornado damaged house is repaired, you can tell they had dogs. You can smell in the carpet even after multiple cleanings. AND FUTURE RENTERS BEWARE, if is any amount of damage, no matter how small, you better put it on the damage form. They will charge you for anything no on your form even if it was preexisting. They did us this way. They charged us for broken blinds that we had pictures of broken before we moved in but failed to put it on the list. We moved into a very dirty carpet with pet hair, they charged us for cleaning it. So be prepared on your check out to have them keep as much of your deposit as they can. KEEP TRACK OF EVERYTHING!!! Will not stay here again.

Staff is fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. Company runs Charleston plantation, the PERFECT PLACE TO LIVE!! My pup, Lex loves the Bark Park provided here and WE LOVE the BEAUTIFUL PARK right across from our home, lots of wonderful sites and nature seen everywhere, even in our own front yard!!

Had a bad experience a while back with a guy that no longer works there. Was very pleased with our most recent experience! They went above and beyond to correct the situation and I couldn’t be happier with the way everything worked out. So glad they found new management!

We moved into Charleston Plantation expecting it to be a good temporary place to live. We learned quick that it was totally opposite. We noticed the police were in the complex often. What kind of background checks do you guys do???? Complained about our neighbor, who even the police referred to as crazy, who was causing problems, yet their response was to counter that someone complained about our dog barking. What’s the bigger issue here? A barking dog or the safety of the tenants? Hmmmm. Can give you the answer. The staff is friendly and professional until they already have you on the hook. Then you receive unprofessional emails from Pam. Yep, you have parking, as long as inconsiderate neighbors from 3 apartments down don’t park in your spot or allow their visitors to. And again. Don’t count on the staff to fix it, even as they stated they would, cause they are just going to tell you to call the police. And I 100% agree with anyone who feels certain ones on the staff are racist. It’s funny too that very few negative reviews got feedback while positive reviews got it! Ohhhhhh yeah, safe neighborhood? Read some of the above again. What safe neighborhood requires the police to be there almost every night? But, not bad as compared to, let’s say, downtown Detroit. Guess what? The patio is not an extension of your apartment after all. Now I totally understand why 3 tenants moved out, including us. And that was only living there 6 months. Wow! What a turn over. Bottom line is......might as well use Charleston Plantation as the Crossville Justice Center and if you really need a job, just apply at GPM. They apparently will hire just about anyone. Thank God we are getting outta there. I hope they go bankrupt! One last thing. They hit you for like a $750 pet deposit for two dogs just so you can be told that neighbors are complaining when it’s actually the maintenance guys. Guess what genius, dogs bark. It’s kinda a way to let you know when strangers are around and are actually a great deterrent for burglars.

Nice apartments but be prepared for a $750 NON REFUNDABLE pet deposit if you have 2 pets. They do not budge on the non refundable part. Price gouging if you ask me.

The apartments are good, a little pricy though. Erica is the only good and friendly staff working there. The male staff there is new, doesnt know much about anything, held our mail packet for almost a month when we thought we lost the mail. Pam was not nice, got annoyed and said oh jesus when my husband walked in to the office to ask a question. She was also the lady did the final inspection when we moved out. We drove 3 hours back to town to do the walk through, Pam forgot the appointment we made with her for the walk through, we had to call the office to get her, she was 40 minutes late, she commented that we cleaned the apartment really good, however there will still be 200 dollars coming out of our deposit for cleaning.

Deceptive practices were used to charge for background check promising properties would be available upon completion.Melissa Schmidt solicited properties for rent on facebook.After charging for services no rentals available. What are the odds on that 100% rip off!Buyer Beware and stay clear from here!

The AC system were installed wrong and will cost you a lot of money during the winter. The management company confirms the issue but does nothing to fix it.

HIGHLY OVER PRICED...HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!! Didnt stand by their commitments! The entire maintenance crew was very inexperienced and messed up more than they fixed. The office personnel was very friendly and helpful except one! She was extremely rude, disrespectful and very pushy. She is also racist...she accidentally sent me emails where she made racial comments towards myself & my family. We couldnt leave fast enough. I wouldnt recommend this place for dogs to live!!!

Couldnt wait for lease to be up, maintenance is slow and not helpful. Apartments are highly overpriced for what you get, and there is not enough space. They do not do good background checks before allowing people to move in, police are in and out- our neighbors got arrested for cooking meth in their apartment! Parking is always a nightmare as they dont have enough, almost all of what they advertise is false.. If you like to feel unsafe, disrespected and uncomfortable this is the place for you.

We rented here for more than a year. Whenever there was a maintenance issue it would take months for them to fix or they would never fix them. We never had hot water either.
