I got one gel pedicure, it chipped/came off in about a week. i NEVER had paint come off my toes from a gel pedicure.i got a full set, my nails looked like chiclets.. like the gym. big bulky and unnatural.i just got a fill today, all my nails look different. the design is TERRIBLE despite it being VERY simple (a french). i asked for square shape, and after confirming with me twice still shaped my nails coffinDO NOT RECCOMEND!!!

Rushed me through and did a poor job. I’ve been going here for a long time. I hate when i feel like the next person is more important than i am. This is not the first time. I will not be back.

Decent job even though it was rushed and over priced. I wont go back.

I haven’t been back here in over a year but I’m sure not much has changed. They are rude and unprofessional. I used to go to Win, he was awesome, fast, and nice but he no longer works there (I wonder why). Win was off one day so I settled for another tech. My nail broke the next day but I had traveled back home. I called to see if I could get a credit (they have a reward system so I know it’s possible) for when I return (at least what it cost to repair the nail). Whoever answered the was rude and said There was nothing she could do because she doesn’t know who serviced me when I clearly described who she was and where her station was and why I couldn’t return the next day. She kept being short and nasty. There pedicure work is also HORRIBLE!

I came to Modern Nails due to Chan, my nail technician moved there. He has ALWAYS done my nails with efficiency and he ALWAYS has great advice when it comes to my nail colors. He is always on schedule and if he is not available ask for Elvis, who also always delivers when working on your nails.

I tried Modern Nails out because my favorite nail technician named Chan moved to this location. If you want your nails to look GREAT every single time, ask for Chan. If he is not available his cousin Elvis is just as great. You can call him and make an appointment and he is always accommodating. Did I mention how amazing my nails ALWAYS look?

This was my first visit. I got a friendly greeting and good service. She did a great job on my brows and the wax wasnt too hot! The pedi was comfortable - she didnt dig or poke. And the foot / leg massage was fabulous. The polish was applied properly. I will be going back!

Always do a good job on my nails

Over expensive and average work. The pedicures are sloppy, polish left on sides of toes. They rush you for everything, whether they are busy or not. The technicians dont follow directions very well. I came with a picture of how I exactly wanted my nails, it took 3 technicians to TRY to get it & failed. I left the shop with a design I didnt want, the worst experience, and paid $90. The manager is not open to any complaints and defends the technicians as if they can make NO Mistakes.

After a few terrible experiences with nail salons. I gave up on spending my money and walking out highly upset and unsatisfied even after being very thorough and detailed with my request. A year and a half later I walk into Modern Nail Lounge & Spa and walked out satisfied with both the price and service I recieved. Tiffany(Tina) and Ryan were awesome and I am looking forward to my next visit. For once I am happy to say money well spent.

The best pedicure I have ever received, and this is said with all honesty, was given here from Tiffany. I recommend the diabetes pedicure for those with health ailments and/or eczema (given by her of course). The massage and neck wrap really completes the pedicure in a nurturing/healing way.

I went on a Thursday to get my nails done, thought I would try it since it was fairly new. The woman who did my nails insulted the color I chose saying it was too dark. While filing my nails she cut my skin. She did not want to trim my nails because she felt they were too short. I got the powder gel, when she was finishing the top coat I asked why she was not doing a gel top coat, She said it does not last as long. All the polish popped off my nails within a week. I will never go back to this salon. The price was much higher too!

Best pedicure and gel manicure in the area! Tried a chrome manicure and its beautiful, applied with care by Ly. The entire staff were kind and welcoming. Will be returning.

I give them a solid B-. Done gel mani and spa pedi. Been twice. Gel polish depends on who you get for sure. First time I went they were flawless, went again today they are decent but definitely have top coat all over the place. Don’t go for the friendly faces. Guy didn’t crack a smile once. I think pricey for the experience (regular gel polish with a 10 second hand massage) but it’s pretty standard for the area.

This is a first class nail salon. It was clean and Tina the owner was on site. Her daughter Vy is an excellent technician --and very pleasant. My new spot for pedicures.

Unfortunately, I never got an opportunity to try out this salon because the employees would not help me. Even after I stood there for ten minutes. Not one salutation...plenty of stares.

Clean quick n convenient..but need more filtration as do almost ALL nail salons.

I do believe this nail salon could have been my new favorite nail and spa, but the way I was treated today will always remind me to never go back. While finishing my pedicure, my nail tech started removing the acrylic off of my nail by slicing an unused nail between my nail and the acrylic. I have never experienced this method of nail removal. I typically get my nails soaked off or buffed down. Needless to say, this was painful for me because I only had my nails on for two weeks. I notified the nail tech that this method was painful and asked if she could do something else. She began to explain that she could soak them, but it would take an hour. I told her that was ok. After that, she visibly showed me that she was annoyed by my request and continuously talked about me and the situation in another language to the other worker. I began to feel very out of place, many of the workers and even a customer that spoke their language started staring at me. She moved me to the nail seat and cut down all of my nails very roughly. Afterwards, she gathered her purse and other items and left without saying anything. Another worker came over (the receptionist) and began to finish removing the nail. I told her I didnt want to get any polish I just wanted my nails shaped. I honestly wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. The receptionist was very kind and even tried to explain that my previous nail tech had to leave to pick up her daughter. The reason that she left was understandable, but nothing can justify the way she treated me. I actually live 3 minutes from the nail salon, but I would rather go to a place that values their customers before I settle because of convenience.

This place will rip you off!! My 3 daughters had extra money taken off of their debit cards. The receipt says one thing ex. $25 & the bank says $30.PLUS one of my daughters nails all are all one color except for one thumb. WTH????

THIS STORE ÍS VERY CLEAN, THEY ARE SO NICE, I REALLY LIKE AND FEEL RELAXING WHEN I COME HERE FOR PEDI AND MANI, SHE DO GREAT JOB FOR EYES BROWN WAXING ... .SHE DO FACIAL AND MASSAGE IS AWESOME. Im in the middle of an *amazing* pedicure as we speak. This spot is brand new and sparkly from top to bottom. Equipment is in perfect working order. The massage chair is giving me a desireably vigorous back rub so Im being extra careful not to spill my red wine on my white top as I type this. I sprung for the Cucumber pedicure which includes a warm herbal neck wrap. Its heavenly. I cant put my finger on what it smells like but its somewhere between your grandmas house at Christmas (cookies) and heaven. Im on leg massage number 2 right now and its indescribably good. Perhaps its due in part to the fact its been a while since Ive had a good leg and foot rub from a man, but Im sure youll love it, and Id bet the lovely ladies here are just as great at it. Now, heres the big news...this pedicure includes a neck and back massage! I am certainly looking forward to that. Those were always standard with mani/pedis in NJ, so glad the practice is making its way here! Get yourself here for some pampering!! Bring cash for the well deserved tip, or there is an ATM machine.*Update- the back and neck massage was bomb. This is my new salon!*

This salon is a little pricier than others in the area and the quality of service--while decent--doesnt quite justify the cost.

Wonderful staff Nhu, vy & danny were super friendly. I love the sanitary measures at this facility. I also loved my manicure and pedicure. I will be returning.

Ive been in twice in the last month without an appointment, and have had Michelle and Brian for gell/acrylic fills. Im VERY picky about my salons, because technique TRULY makes a difference, especially if you have almond shaped nails. Ive tried every salon in the area with dissappointing results across the board, with the exception of one salon in Odenton.Anyhow, both technicians were very skilled, gave my nails good shape and didnt over-apply acrylic. They were both gentle, and my polish always looks great. Ive received a million compliments on my last set, and am in love with my Halloween inspired nails. I also paid a visit to their waxer for facial needs (Tiffany I believe) and she had the quickest, gentlest hands. The experience honestly rivals what Ive had done at Robert Andrews. I was taken to a private room, where I was able to relax on a professional massage-style bed while she paid full attention to my face. I will definitely return.The price was right, the staff friendly, and most importantly--skilled!

Best Gel Manicure Ive ever had! My cuticals have never looked better and they have a wide selection of colors and glitters.

Not impressed with the service I received. I visited the salon and picked out my color for my pedicure. The person that serviced me was very rude and racist and said to me that the color I picked out for my toes was too light for me, which I thought was quite racist. I made it clear that I wanted the color I selected and she proceeded to spend eak in a different language to her co-worker. I will not be returning.
