Ive used Macks for a little over 20 years, have had transmissions installed, rear differentials rebuilt, limited slips installed, and had front and rear brakes done on multiple vehicles. They are up front with cost and make good recommendations on which way to approach mechanical issues. I am usually given multiple courses of action, the pros and cons of each as well as honest prices on each course of action. They are my go-to place and Ive never had to take a vehicle back to fix jobs theyve completed.

Great, great auto shop!! Was on a road trip and started to hear a rattling sound from under my car. Mack’s auto shop identified and fixed the issue free of charge because it didn’t require any parts. So thankful and lucky to have stopped here. Highly recommend!

My family was driving home from Florida to Missouri when our AC went out. We found Macks and stopped in. Everyone we talked to was extremely nice, helpful, and accommodating. They took our car back immediately to look at it. Unfortunately the problem was not a quick fix and we chose to drive in the heat and take it back to the shop that had repaired it a few weeks prior. Thank you!! I hope we never need you again, but for those that do I would highly recommend them.

AMAZING! Everyone here is so kind, caring, compassionate, and professional! We had an emergency situation traveling through Florida where our trailer brakes caught on fire causing a huge issue with our brakes and axel. Auto Tech Inc was able to help us quickly get back on the road. Every step of the way everyone was so helpful explaining everything to us and making sure we were comfortable. The trailer issues were unfortunate but we are grateful things happened where they did so that we were able to be serviced by this amazing shop. Huge thank you to Allen and Diane for everything yall did to take care of us. I would 100% feel comfortable recommend this spot to anyone.

The employees and the owner are just plain the best. We got stranded 1500 miles from home and stopped here for help with our jeep. Owner personally came out and talked to us and did everything he could to help get us on our way back home! Definitely worth the money!

Went to have my vehicle examined for a long trip As I paid I went out and the mechanic told me to make sure I put water in it because there was an issue and I ended up having to replace my engine which cost me $4000

Macks has earned a reputation as one of the more honest and trustworthy auto repair facilities in the area. The receptionist secretary seems very knowledgeable and motivated. My only dissapointment was that I dropped my car off early on a Friday and the shop wasnt able to diagnose the issues that day due to being too busy. I had made an appointment for that day. Due to my schedule, had to pick my car back up that day and havent been able to get it back in the shop. Im going to give them another chance once Im able to work it out. Ill update this review once theyve actually been able to work on the car.

Great customer service. Traveling from out of town, check engine light came on Macks was recommended. Very nice gentleman came out with tester said could be one of two things.. He said lets try the least evasive way first then go from there. We only needed a new gas cap. Ordered one, was here the next day. Would highly recommend Macks Auto Tech.

Got up one morning, and the car wouldnt start, the engine/starter would just spin. Tried multiple times over around 1/2 hour. Finally, the last time I just kept cranking for a minute or so straight, and it finally turned over. Drove it to Macks and left it running while I went in. They were busy, and couldnt get to it until the next day, which was fine with me. They even gave me a ride back to my house. They called the next day and said they couldnt reproduce the problem, they cleaned and tightened electrical connections, but couldnt find anything else. Thats honesty. They could have told me anything, I wouldnt have known the difference. As long as it was already there, I asked them to put new brakes on it and flush the transmission, both things that really needed to be done. Got it back a few days later, very reasonable price, very friendly service. Ill definitely use them again.

Two days before Thanksgiving 2019, I was driving through Crestview on I-10, heading to a family reunion hundreds of miles away, and had car trouble just after dark. I stayed at the Hampton Inn which is right off of I-10, and the next morning I took my car to Macks, which is right next door to the Hampton (how lucky could I be!). Macks Auto Repair is a family owned business and Mr. Mack is an honest auto repair guy. He diagnosed the problem and had me on my way shortly. He charged me very little for the repair. As a single female, he could have easily jacked up the price, but he is an honorable man with integrity, who cares about doing the job right at a fair price. I sure wish I had a Mr. Mack in my neighborhood; he is the kind of trustworthy and reliable mechanic that everyone dreams of. To anyone driving through the Crestview area, if you have car trouble, this is the place to go. Honest repairs at an honest price. Thank you Mr. Mack. You saved the day for a lady stuck far from home.

Looked at a few reviews on a google and saw this place. Sooooo glad I went here. Alan is awesome and really knows his stuff! I went in with my little boy and Alan offered to drive us home and come back and pick us up after the work was completed on my truck. I was having an electrical issue and also needed a tune up. Their prices were lower than many other quotes I had received in the area. As soon as Alan was finished he called and completely discussed everything that was done and/ what was needed. Very professional, very thorough, great people! I will take any vehicle I own here as long as I am still in the area. Awesome!!!

Not a good service he was trying to install parts that it wasnt necessary and charge me over 2k for a 400 that i pay with different mechanic ..Im not go back thats for sure

Wow... I cant properly formulate the appropriate sentence for this business. They are the most kind, respectful, understanding, intelligent, and punctual auto business in the area. It first started with a full engine repair on my 05 Ford Expedition and I have gone to them since. Have been coming here off and on the past year for big and small fixes. The transmission I had replaced was several hundred dollars cheaper than the two other shops I visited and Macks finished it in less than a week after drop off, simply awesome.I also took my truck in for a torque converter problem that no shop I talked to knew how to fix, but Allen there nailed it in a couple days.Great place, will continue to use as often as I need to.

The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.Extremely FAIR and reasonable PRICING. I had an extreme time crunch having to move with the military and had to get my vehicle fully serviced to be able to drive cross country. Macks has always done amazing with oil changes in both of our vehicles and is very reasonably priced. They have also identified some issues in our older truck and provided very fair quotes for us. We will always support small business and local business. Several times we have had very pleasant experiences, we have also most recently had a very, very frustrating one. This could happen with any business. However, I was encouraged to pick up a book and learn how a battery works when I became extremely upset in the lobby that I dropped my car off for an oil change with a battery in great condition and a car that wouldnt start when I came to pick it up. I dont care how a battery works! I just care when I pick up my car in worse condition than I left it. They tried to sell me a $150ish battery and when I refused, they told me I wouldnt be able to drive it much if I didnt, and I still refused. They charged it up for me. We drove off, put gas in it, and brought it to Auto Zone to have the battery tested and it tested perfect. The man helping us at Auto Zone could not think of any reason to replace the battery testing fine, no corrosion, in a 2 year old car thats starting up without an issue. Maybe it was faulty equipment or something bizarre that has no explanation, an honest mistake, who knows. I guess this could happen anywhere - I would still highly recommend Macks.

Great home town mechanic to go to. They know there stuff and wont do you wrong. Have used them for years and have never been done wrong yet.

The other shops I went to for broken AC all wanted over $1000 to replace the broken part. At Macks they ran some tests first, found the actual problem and fixed it for much cheaper. That was months ago and I still think about it on hot days like this.

Its hard to find an honest, competent mechanic these days. Thats why Ive been taking my vehicles to Macks Auto Tech for over 30 years.

These guys are great!! I was just about to head back to TN after a week in Crestview when my 03 Pathfinder decides to run out of power steering fluid. In less than an hour I was on the road!The crew thoroughly informed me of the issue at hand and advised me on an exhaust issue that needs attention as well. They offered to make all necessary repairs but since I needed to get back to TN I wasnt able take advantage.They were more than fair on the bill and I truly appreciate their professionalism. The service was excellent. I needed an exhaust weld on my antique and I just drove right up and was on my way home within a half hour. Ashton Mack is honest and fair, and I cannot recommend him more.

We took our town car here to get prices on a lot of things. The quote we got felt outrageously high so we looked into them. Here is an example. The latch to close the back driver-side door wasnt latching properly. They quoted 250-something dollars for that. My husband ordered the part off of Amazon for 9.99 and installed it (no skill needed, just unscrew old, screw on new) in less than 10 minutes.

I was told they could only determine the problem with my vehicles front end by driving it. I paid for an alternator so they could get it running. Went to pick up and they told me they had done no diagnostic on front end.
