Curlicue is where I always go for my haircuts! Mother and daughter dynamic duo Shannon and Mallory knock it out of the park every time. I love the time and attentiveness that goes in to every haircut I get here. They also have an awesome sitting area with cool records on the wall. Can’t recommend them enough.

My husband and I really enjoyed meeting Shannon and she did an excellent job on our hair. Our stylist of 15 years has been MIA since the pandemic. We were pleasantly surprised to find how comfortable we were with Shannon. The bonus...her salon is so close to home! We will definitely be back.

Curlicue is a great place for all nail and hair needs! Mallory took care of my manicure and pedicure which was fantastic and well priced. She set an appointment with me and was prompt and on time. I would highly recommend this salon for all hair and nail needs! The interior is modern and well kept which I appreciated. They even have an on-site massage therapist I’ll be making an appointment with! Definitely check this place out

POSITIVELY Updating my review from a few years ago: Shannon is now owner of her own salon, Curlicue. (Located on College Street, across from the Post Office in downtown Covina.) She and daughter, Mallory, are quite the pair! There may be limited hours at this time, but Curlicue IS OPEN for hair and nails! Shannon is very proactive in keeping the salon SAFE while providing excellent and relaxing customer service. BONUS TIP: Have Shannon style your hair!! You will be so happy!!!Just received the VIP treatment at the Great Pretenders Salon! Shannon Hensley gave me a French pedicure with the perfect amount of white trim. Fun. Relaxing. Right price!!

I have had the pleasure of being a client of Shannons since I moved to CA 5 years ago. I havent left unhappy yet, and thats huge because my hair is my thing and Im extremely picky. Its so nice to be able to just come sit in the chair and relax, enjoy a little conversation and leave feeling pretty. That has been my experience thus far! She even colored my hair silver the last time I saw her, it was a well spent 5 hours. I wouldnt have trusted anyone else to take my brown/black hair to such a light color. It is fantastic! Her nail designs are also top notch and she will get rid of all your unwanted facial hair. If you are looking for your forever hair gal, she is it:)

Shannon is a true professional in an industry that generally lacks professionalism. My wife and I have pedicures on a regular basis, and YES mens feet can feel good too!
