Mayo Quanchi is an amazing place to take your children if your looking for a place for your child to grow with discipline and love I reccomend going to this place. My daughter started training here at around 9 or 10 years old. We traveled from Fall River to Rhode Island 4x a week, so that she could train with the best. She has traveled and fought all around the US and even out of the country. This place will give you or your child the best experiences on and off the mat. They will train with National and International champions and coaches. Serge and his wife Elizabeth will treat your kids like her own. They will love you and your child like your part of the family. Mayo Quanchi is a family to everyone.

Sensei Serge and the entire family that makes up Mayo Quanchi are first class. The loving and caring environment balanced with a strong competition mindset makes for a perfect combination. If you are looking for a place to bring your child you wont find a better martial arts school. People drive from all over Rhode Island and further just to be a part of Mayo Quanchi Judo and Wrestling. My own daughter moved from Virginia to Rhode Island for college just for an opportunity to train with National and International coaches and champions.

I have three children that do both judo and wrestling at MQ and they all love it!! We love the family atmosphere here and my kids can’t get enough practice! They look forward to going everyday!

My son Grew up here made his best friend here traveled around the world with mayo quanchi not only is serge and the other Sensei’s amazing people there great role models they care for the kids. As a member I get to train beside Olympic athletes. However, I get the attention and direction that I need to succeed. All the different levels work together so one can challenge themselves if they want or can stick to more recreational use. Either way you enter a incredibly caring and supportive environment and learn how to defend yourself at the same time.

I was hesitant due to my childs crazy nature but they welcomed him and myself with open arms. Down to earth and tell it like it is.

We met Sensei Serge at a tournament in 2015. I was immediately impressed by his knowledge and coaching style. Later that year, he invited us to Mayo Quanchi for training. My daughter Ashley loved the intense work outs and connected with Sensei Serge right away. Over the next 2 plus years, we traveled from Chicago to Rhode Island many times to train, and January in 2018 we moved to Rhode Island so Ashley could train there full time.This is not just a Judo/wrestling club. It’s a family. Serge and his wife Elizabeth have helped us immeasurably in making this transition, and I can go on for ever about all of the members and coaches who have helped us and invested in my daughter.When people say it takes a village, I could not agree more. Where to begin when it comes to the caring & family atmosphere as well as the mutual respect for everyone this is where it begins @ MQ . My son has been with Sensei Serge since he was 5 I can promise you that you will never find a family of judokas/wrestlers in this state that will do what it takes to ensure safety,respect, life lessons on & off the mat. If you get a chance come down you wont see anything like this state of the art facility .🥋🤼‍♂️

If you are looking for a place for you or your child to do Judo or wrestling then Mayo Quanchi is the place to go. This club offers top notch training for both Judo and wrestling. There aren’t many clubs that have Sensei’s like Mayo Quanchi. They teach their students not only the art of judo and wrestling, but also the art of respect, discipline, kindness, and love. I’ve never been to another club that has put so much time and effort into their students. They act as mentors both on and off the Mat. Sensei Serge will host many training camps at his club, where elite athletes come from all over the world to train and teach. Some of the judokas at his club are currently training for the Olympics. So that says a lot about the type of club that it is! It is built on the foundation of bringing out the best athlete in you but it also builds on your character in the process. Go visit the club and try them out. Class will be hard but I guarantee that you and your family will all leave there feeling like part of the MQ family.

Mayo Quanchi is a Judo and Wrestling club that teaches far beyond the skills of these sports. Its a family. The coaches and students push each other and embrace the disciplines within martial arts as a Judoka and life skills that are instilled in the kids from a young age. The classes are filled and anyone is welcome. You can join with zero experience and will be warmly welcomed. The owners Sensei Serge Boyssou his wife Liz are two incredible people who have changed the lives of so many especially by getting kids off the street and providing them a safe environment to grow. I joined this club at 16 when I was new to judo and only had wrestling experience. There are a ton of female athletes in the club that has never been divided or discriminated. The minute you step in the met gender disappears and you respect your opponent and protect them. Katelyn their daughter runs most of the classes and is an extremely accomplished judoka and wrestler. Many of the students compete and travel frequently. There is a long list of accomplishments that come from this club. Serge always has seminars and camps and in the physical sense you could never get a better workout. Theres also a Weight room in the back. Serge goes over and beyond for all of his students and will give you the shirt off his back if you put the time in. This truly is an amazing special place that made me a million times better person, I wouldnt trade the lessons Ive learned here physically and mentally for anything. I highly recommend !

When we left North Carolina I was worried about finding a good wrestling club, I called around the state and every coach said go to Mayo Quanchi, they go year round, so I had my son show up for his first week of training, and I could see right away this was the place for him, 5 and a half years later we’re still part of the MQ family, reason I call it a family is because no matter what MQ is there for you and your kids, Sensei Serge and his wife, day in and day out help everyone they can, ive never been part of an amazing club like MQ . Both my son and daughter train there every day. If your looking for the best family to be part of, look no further than Mayo Quanchi. Sensei Serge and his coaching staff are top notch and world class professionals, the first day my family walked into MQ we were greeted with hugs and hand shakes, all I can say is MQ for life, to this day everyone is greeted with hugs and hand shakes. One team one dream .
