My hairdresser left the area about 8 years ago. I have been going from hairdresser to hairdresser and could not get the hair cut I wanted. When I walked into Allure Studio I immediately loved the decor. Anna was friendly, great conversation, energetic, knowledgeable in her many skills .AND THE BEST HAIRCUT I HAVE HAD IN TEN YEARS!! Anna’s place is welcoming, a lot of wonderful things happening at her shop. Everything from a warm hello to a nice cup of her special tea. I was in a lot of pain from being on my feet for 8 hrs straight no breaks. Anna came to my rescue. helping me out today pivoting my body, straightening left and right sides helping me release stress. I came home after 8 hrs on my feet. I was very happy that my legs and body didn’t hurt like they normally do. If your looking to get your body relax, go and see for yourself. Anna helped me when i had an illness. My hair was falling out. She did a scalp massage that i truly believe helped wake up the follicles. Within weeks my hair grew back! Not to mention shes a great person and takes the time to understand what you want. I never have had a bad experience with her or the product.

Zero Star if possible. Awful color bad chemicals list goes on. Quirky and does not listen. Good that Anna has her own business because working for another would not happen. Your Fired Also negotiate price before if you decide to have your hair done. Wish you the best.

Went here 3 times, enjoyed it everytime. Nice place. Anna is one of the nicest people Ive met, great coversation maker. If you are looking for a place to just get a haircut this is not the place. Its the kind of place you go to and become friends with the owner and you have a great time talking and get a haircut too. Yes she has her quirks, especially with all natural products she makes herself, but if it works it works. Most friendly place out there.

I have been a client at Allure for over 17 years, and it breaks my heart to read the two recent fraudulent reviews posted by two individuals who were trying to run a scam on Anna. They were in the shop 4 weeks ago when I was there for my monthly appointment. Anna thought she was helping a couple who were new to the area trying to get local business connections, and invited them into her studio. Anna at Allure quickly saw that they were delusional, and their 1 star reviews are their attempts at retribution. Shame on them. I have lived in this area for over 30 years, and you will not find a better hair salon experience in Eastern Connecticut, or for that matter, anywhere. If you are one of Allures clients, please post a review so the low ratings of the fraudulent review are diminished in the overall rating, and return Allure to the 5 star standing it deserves.

Ruined and destroyed my ladies hair. Hair is so important as I have learned. Especially when a sickness that takes it away. My loves hair grew back so strong and Anna ruined it.

If youre like me, youve been wandering from hairdresser to hairdresser your entire life unsuccessfully. This place had great reviews so I tried it. It was $30 for a trim (what I asked for) which ended up making a terrible pseudomullet out of my previously fairly straight hair. Although the woman was incredibly friendly and altruistic, It looks like Im going to keep wandering...
