I entrusted them with all of my dental work for 2 years. I went to all of my scheduled appointments as I needed an in-depth treatment plan. I loved this place, wonderful employees, came up with a plan and put that into action. Although through half of my treatment plan, I receive an email about no longer accepting insurance, but you can pay for a program we will be rolling out to help patients that can’t afford dental insurance. Most people that can’t afford dental insurance, are part of the State’s dental plan, no matter what their circumstances. I don’t agree with how a dental business can’t keep their doors open because of the pay they receive from the State. The State calculates the charges based on some type of model!? It appears from your customer’s view that, even in a world wide pandemic, you eliminate their insurance, and incorporate your own subscription based plan, to only make more money as a business, and leave your customers in the wind with having to find a place and do this process all over again. I understand that’s why you have a business is to make money, but yet I don’t agree with how this was all handled. Good luck on your new internal program, as working in a corporate structure with these models, in your business industry, your time and money is better spent keeping the customers you all ready have. Thanks for everything you had done for me in the past! It was truly a great experience!

I really like going here. They do thorough cleanings, have great customer service. They have always been super professional and have never done wrong by me. I enjoy getting my work done here. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dentist office.

I have been to this office numerous times. Everytime I am treated very respectful and with kindness. They listen to my concerns and incorporated them into the treatment plan. Excellent customer service and bedside manner. They put me at ease when I was experiencing high anxiety. Exception dental clinic. The late Dr Garvey would be so proud of the staff who is staffing the clinic.

I have been going here for years. I went in for a cleaning pre covid and they told me I couldn’t schedule out my next cleaning appointment due to my insurance. Which I had always scheduled ahead of time before but I mistakenly listened and didn’t schedule my next appointment. They told me to call back closer to when I’m due for a cleaning so 4 months later I call. I get told that they are so backed up that the next available appointment was 3-4 month out. So being a little frustrated I said okay I’ll call around and see where else I can go. Of course no one else was taking new patients, or didn’t answer the phone. So I call back and they said they’ve met their quota for taking patients with my insurance. That I’d have to call back this summer.... so here it is mid spring and I get a notification that they stopped accepting my insurance altogether. I’m not sure if they were doing this on purpose or if it was by chance but I’m extremely irritated. They’ve always been nice before; seen me and my kids. They’ve did all my dental work my whole life and now I have to find a new place which is like finding a needle in a haystack. Just be careful, ask questions, get clarifications and follow your instincts. Don’t let a place push you off your health is worth caring about.

I was in need to see a dentist had lots of pain. They went over my insurance and got me in to see the dentist. The employees where so kind and explained my plan to take care of my teeth. I enjoy going there and would encourage others to go to Western dental in Counil blufff Iowa

We were 10 minutes late for our 8AM appointment and the front desk ladies did not treat us as we were. They were super nice and did not mention it or make us reschedule. Very cool - thank you!!!!!!

A friend of mine went in for an extraction. They left in worse pain than what they went in with. The dentist here did not provide a script for antibiotics or pain killers. She went back and they said they would do nothing for her. She wound up going to the ER where they were dumbfounded that a dentist would even preform an extraction before checking for existing infections. After going through the day supply of pain killers provided she went back to this joke of a place because she was still in pain. They still refused to help so its back to the ER. From what I can tell this place is a ticking time bomb when it come to a lawsuit for negligence and malpractice.

Horrible place. They tell you they can squeeze you in if any teeth need pulled before you have surgery to have them all pulled. You call because you havent been able to eat or sleep and the pain is killing you and they say oh we referred you to someone else. Uncaring, lacks customer service, inconsiderate money grubbers.

I came in contact with this office when my car was broke down outside and was on the end of a four-day Bender. As I hobbled to the restroom, with cheeks clenched, I was horrified to find the restroom occupied. As I sat and waited for my turn to destroy this bowl I heard what can only be described as non-human noises coming from within. These noises would give you nightmares. When the door finally opened I was hit with a waft so unholy, that it took the last bit of life I had left right out of me. I woke up in the ER department right down the road hooked up to tubes and a ventilator and was officially diagnosed with ptsd. I am now working closely with my psychiatrist and things have gotten no better.1 out of 5... would not recommend bathroom

The dentist is by far not my favorite place to visit however the staff here is absolutely amazing. From the front desk, to the hygienist, to the doctor, everyone really makes you feel comfortable and truly care. I was informed that I would need to pay $800 before they could do a cleaning because I would need a special procedure. I went to a different dentist and they did my cleaning with no problem and no special procedure and at no cost out of pocket. The staff is incredibly rude and the office manager is never in to discuss an issue with. Amazing this place is still open.

Ever since Dr Gallard left the office it has went down-hill. Very rude staff. What is the point of setting up a appointment AT THE OFFICE if you are still going to call text people constantly about their appointment and they need to confirm it ... ummm wasn’t it already confirmed at the office when first getting it? I love this place. They are the friendliest and most professional dentist office Ive been to. That is why Ive probably been going to them for over 10 years. Becky my Hygenist is the best!!!

Rude staff all around, they referred me to the Nebraska Medical Center but sent them an outdated x-ray from 2016 so the whole waiting process to get in and the appointment were pointless. The crowns on the root canals performed there are failing and dont fit, now they wont even answer the phone so that I can get up to date x-rays for a treatment plan with a dentist that actually cares about their patients.

After changing insurances I was nervous about getting a new dentist but I was extremely impressed with the service I got it Midwest Dental. Everyone was so friendly. And with COVID-19 my safety is very important to me, I felt completely safe.

I just love coming here. Dr Kimberly is who I see and he is so sweet and is always very gentle with everything he does. He was the first dentist to ever address my teeth grinding (which I didn’t know I did), he recommended a night guard and it has worked perfectly. It did take a few days to get used to it, and Dr. Kimberly told me it would. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. His dental hygienist are always wonderful when I see them. I would give Dr Kimberly and the hygienists all a 5 star! The only reason I docked a star is due to the front desk. There are multiple receptionist and a couple are great but the rest are very rude and make it seem like you are just bothering them by every being there.

Took 6 months to get an appointment. Got to the appointment and they said it had been cancelled it, okay whatever I’ll reschedule for like 2 months later. So I’ve been waiting 8 months right. Very rude and hostile lady leaves a message on my answering machine about how she has texted me multiple times & is cancelling my appointment because I haven’t responded to the texts. Maybe if she wasn’t texting my landline I could have responded!! I’m really not trying to be a Karen but this is literally the worst experience I’ve ever had and I don’t think I’m going to be returning to this dentist office and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know.

I use to hate going to the dentist, I could never find out I liked. After trying many dentist here I finally found one that I enjoy working on my grin. I can’t think of his name, sadly, but he is my favorite there!

CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED! First, I went into have a tooth extracted that had broken below the gum line. I was bullied into having a root canal and crown done which was extremely expensive. The next year I had xrays completed and they noticed bone loss under that tooth and was told it had to be extracted. This was due to an improper root canal and insurance is denying to pay for their mistake. Of could this dentist office is also refusing to fix the issue. Here goes another $1000, thanks for that. Secondly, the office in Council Bluffs has a very rude staff. Constantly calling, threatening to cancel and discontinue services, if I do not confirm my appointment that was arbitrarily set by them. They do not appreciate your time either as I have sat and waited for over 2 hours past my appointment just to get started. Meanwhile by car was broken into in the parking lot and items were stolen from my vehicle. This location is in a sketchy part of town and this office has no cameras to protect your belongings or worse yourself. Trust me the criminals know that there aren’t any cameras. And last, their billing will send any portion not covered by insurance directly to a Collection Agency, instead of sending you the bill. I had no idea I owed them a penny, however now I have a collection against my credit for a $44 payment. RUN, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!As a side note, although their building looks nice, they are in a very sketchy part of town. The guy who was a good looking younger man, was very nice and extremely professional. He seemed to really care if I was in pain or not during the process. He explained to me exactly what he was going to do and what it should feel like and to inform him right anyway if I was experiencing any other feelings of pain. Witch I did at first and he stopped right away and have numbed the area some more. He gave that about 10 mins and then asked if I was good to go. I was. He then was fined in less then five minutes with the removal of one of my molars. It was Hands down the best experience Ive ever had at a dentist.

They kept taking everyone before me and I was there first. I ended up spending 2 hours there and all they did were x-rays. I sat and sat. Not an efficient place. My time is valuable too! 2 hours is unacceptable.

This was my daughters first visit and she said everyone was very nice and helpful. They explained all what they were going to do before they did it so she would know and not be afraid. I have been coming for over a year and I would not dream of going anywhere else! The staff and doctors seem like they truly care and have always helped me.

Everyone is very friendly. I almost did not return as a customer because they used to have a secretary that was horribly rude. Returned when we relocated back to the area and the service was great. They were able to tell me what my balance would be for the services I needed to return for before my next appointment. No surprises.

Ive had four different appointments with them. They were able to keep two out of four. The first one magically was lost in their calendar even though I got a text regarding it. The other two were acceptable. Today was the straw that broke the camels back. I showed up 30 minutes early. I checked in and proceeded to wait 55 minutes before I told them I was leaving. The receptionist was a real peach and had an attitude. Well we have your scheduled until 11. Well Ive spent an hour here and all I asked for is punctuality and you cant provide. Steer clear unless you only have the dentist on your agenda for the day.

My family has been going to this Dentist office for many years. I wont go anywhere else. Truly satisfied with the professionalism and kindness by everyone.

It was a pleasant visit. The front staff is friendly. The hygienist knew her stuff and was helpful, as well as agreeable and friendly. She found a blanket for me when I felt cold. All in all, it was a pretty pain-free cleaning and I appreciate that.

If zero stars were an option Id pick that. I try to make an appointment to be seen by a dentist and they tell me that I am supposed to blow off my picking up my 4 year old daughter from school because they have an appointment to offer me that conflicts with my schedule. Have been coming here for a few years now. Have had good experiences with them and will continue to keep seeing them. Only thing that is a downside is when you are trying to schedule afternoon appoints those are very difficult to get.

Office personnel are rude and should not be dealing with the public at all. They are refusing to see us again, because they are claiming we missed an appointment. This is not at all true. My husband has been waiting for this office to complete his dentures. They sent him off to get his teeth pulled months agoI had to finally call them to arrange an appointment. He had an appointment 9/23...walked out the door with an appointment card for 10/14. Suddenly we get a certified letter saying we missed an appointment. WTH. Reception hung up onme when I questioned this.

Very friendly staff and dentists. They are very transparent in communicating what theyre doing when theyre working, which is actually very reassuring. They are very understanding and accommodating to those who have sensory issues and/or Autism (Based on my own personal experience).

From the moment I walked in to the moment that I left. I felt every question, concern, and need was met. The front desk staff friendly. It was nice to even hear them chatting among themselves about their busy lives, but stopping for every call or person entering the building. Great choice in programming on tv too. I was so overwhelmed walking in and I seemed to forget my reason for being there. The dental assistant was extremely pleasant. I felt she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable before the dentist came in. I met with Dr. Noland Broekemier, DDS. Not only did he give me information and suggestions, butam he gave me really good options for care. He didnt talk at me and I was able to understand the what, when, and why. I left there with a solid plan. I will definately be back to them soon to complete my treatment. Thank you for being an amazing team that worked together to make an uneasy patient feel very comfortable.

I started having tooth pain on Friday 11/16/18. Tried to get into emergency dental and no one would see me. Couldnt get into anywhere over the weekend, then my wife called these guys on Monday. At about 9 or 10 oclock they got me in last minute and didnt have a problem at all. The dentist and the nurse were awesome and even the receptionist went as far as to recontact my wife to let her know she didnt have to fill out certain forms so she didnt waste alot of time being as she was doings all this from her desk at work. I cant speak for anyone else there but the people who helped me were amazing.

I have been coming here since they were located in Baylis Park. Some staff members have been around since the beginning of my journey with them, went through both of my pregnancies (my oldest is 5) going here. Today I am upset. I have learned that they spoke to an unconfirmed person regarding my appt date and time. Left a voicemail telling me they spoke with someone but this someone did not confirm my appt and if they didn’t hear from me by 9am they were removing me off the schedule. So I called and confirmed immediately. Upon arriving I checked in and voiced my concerns about this voice mail that was left and my concerns about who they spoke to and what information they gave. In which I was pulled into a small office and a lady pulled up a spreadsheet of the phone calls made, under this call they noted “woman would not say who she was and would not confirm appt” At this point I think you can understand my concerns. Now what these people don’t know is I know exactly who called, I know exactly what information they gave this woman, and I know that when I confront them I have some proof if they try to deny my accusations. So I’ve expressed my concerns and also requested a copy of Hipaa privacy as well as patient confidentiality, to which the lady asked me if I even know the difference. Which, no I don’t, but I do know that I feel as though my privacy had been compromised and wanted to get to the nitty gritty of my privacy rights, which I DID NOT receive a copy of any kind of privacy policies. The lady asked me if I thought it was possible that somebody may have hacked my phone, and says it happens all the time. The lady pulled the recieptionist back who took the telephone call with this “unknown woman”, to which I asked what information was given, I was told she didn’t say anything because the woman would not confirm her identity. I pulled open some text messages from my mother who knew exactly when my appointment was and how long it would be. At this point they come back and try to tell me that this woman did say she was my mom but she didn’t give them her name. We decided to red flag my account to which anybody calling regarding any appointments of mine needs to confirm who they are before they tell them anything. Probly the only option I have to protect my privacy being told to people who are not me and have nothing to do with my treatment. So I called later in the day to get the names of the woman I talked to, the receiptionist gives me one name then directs me to the same lady I spoke to earlier today. So I ask for HRs number or who to speak to regarding my concerns further. Turns out she’s office manager and there nothing further more to do, no privacy right have been violated. I’m still upset that nobody is understanding my concern with this. Finding every way possible to justify what happened, and it being completely okay. I’m angry at this point and cussing. I threatened with Better business bureau, she threatened to go after my mom for fraud, and she also noted that they are now declining any future services to me. Great. Next thing you know office manager is calling me back trying to occandate for what they did wrong and was very apologetic about the “newby” messing up, which I appreciate, but I don’t think it’s fair to decline services for being upset over something that could have been bad for me, not them. She tried offering me the option to return after already telling me they would decline any future services to me, which I responded I would not return. I have been going here for 10+ years, my kids have had all of their visits here. Wouldn’t anybody be upset if they had proof that their healthcare provider was providing information regarding you’re appts to anonymous callers? & wouldnt you be upset if you expressed your concerns about the intent of this “anonymous female” questioning your appts and being asked if your phone may have been hacked? If that were the case then this situation just got even nastier and you provided a location and time.

Dr. Kimberly is the absolute best! I drive 2 hours just to be seen by him. He has the best bed side manors and genuinely cares about his patients. For years I dreaded going to the dentist due to a bad experience, but Dr. Kimberly helped me overcome that. While doing procedures he continuously asks if your doing ok and makes sure you are completely comfortable your entire visit. He is the absolute best dentist I have ever gone too! Amazing practice! They are wonderful with my 3.5 year old they have eased her into the whole preventative care process. They have recently got her comfortable enough for a full preventative appointment xrays, cleaning, and exam. We enjoy all staff members and my daughter was especially fond of her recent hygienist Jodi.

If I could give them no stars I would. They cant even clean teeth correctly. Long story short my teeth were clean but she took off a chunk of my gums. I honestly dont even understand how that could have happened considering your gums are pink and your teeth are white but it did. I refuse to go there now.

Only dentist I’ve seen for years I go to school full time and work full time I had to reschedule an appointment a few months ago and then I had one accidental miss because I thought the lady made my appointment for a Thursday and she ended up making it for a Wednesday while I was at work I spoke with the manager and they were entirely not understanding she told me I’m irresponsible and I can never make an appointment again this is ridiculous as all hell never once got mad just attempted to explain myself and ask nicely to reschedule these guys are horrible

Today I called as a new patient trying to get an appointment setup. The lady I talked today (10/8/2019) at 12:10PM said they were booked until March but had a certain day and time in a few weeks she could have rescheduled to fit me in. I said ok, sounds good, let me check my calendar, she says ok well call me right back when you figure that out, ok. I check my calendar, call back, and the person I talked to at 12:20PM said that person is gone to lunch but looked into the day and time she told me about. Then she tells me that time is booked, I started to explain that the other lady was going to reschedule that appointment to fit me in but the current lady interupted me and said in a snappy tone you shoulda booked it when you had it, we got phones ringing here! I said well I did exactly what the first lady said, which was to hang up, go check my calendar to make sure that time works for me and call back to confirm. Didnt make me feel like my business was wanted thank you very much and good bye.

I went here on my regular Dentists recommendation for an evaluation. They were great.At one point the Dentist said, If you were a member of my family asking for my advice, this is what I would recommend.

First time at Western Iowa Dental and I have to say I was very afraid of changing dentist but EVERYONE was amazing, personable, happy and so helpful! Not to mention VERY clean and up to date. Would definitely recommend!!!

Donna always is personable and does a terrific job at explaining what she is doing and takes her time cleaning my teeth. Had great bedside manners. Would recommend her to anyone

The staff is amazing. They are all very caring and do what they can to care for all patient needs. They’re empathetic and very informative. I used to hate going to the dentist. Now I dont and look forward to it

I love going here. The entire staff is friendly and the Dentists always try to get you in ASAP if you are having teeth trouble. Plus the Dental hygienist are always fun to talk too. Best Dental Group Ive been too.

Switched doctors with out explication after first appointment. Doesn’t listen and can’t get dentures right even after making 2 sets. Cancels all the time. Individual reasons I understand but when add all together no. You make an appointment and they call to move it up early because they are ready for u if it doesn’t work then they want to reschedule. This happened 3-4 times. Total of cancellations or wanting to on there behalf 4 out of 6 appointments in a row. Told patient that even though the dentures don’t fit right it was tough they were done and wanted to bill insurance so they didn’t have to deal with patient or patients family.

I have a fear when it comes to the dentist. Western Iowa Dental Group has always made me feel very comfortable. They always ask if Im okay and explain every step of every process. All of the staff are very friendly and always recommend this office to friends and family

Everything went well, love the progress Im receiving. Love how they talk and explain everything to me. Very happy with this place, nothing to change

Extremely disappointed that I did not receive a phone call about my regular hygienist leaving. My visit went well with the new one, but wasnt very impressed with not knowing I would be seeing someone new. Cleaning was great, customer service wasnt that great.
