My daughter got a new vehicle on a Saturday in which the management was not available to get a new sticker from. Sunday was the same. By Monday morning her vehicle had been towed for no stupid parking sticker. She has been trying numerous times to get one and has failed every time. Today her vehicle is gone. Towing doesn’t have it so it looks like someone stole it. I wish she had never moved to these apartments.
I lived here for a year and it’s not to my expectations. The air filters are barely changed so dust is everywhere, our ac was frozen once in a while so we had to turn off the ac and let it defrost in hot weather while it was hot in our complex. Our oven was broken for 4 months and we couldn’t use the oven but only the stove. Maintenance didn’t even do anything to it until last minute and finally decided to get us a new oven when they should’ve done that in the first place. The bottom of our fridge was broken and we couldn’t close the door. It smelt like marijuana and cigarettes inside the buildings and the smell could go through the furnace. I’m happy I moved out because I could not stand living in those conditions for the amount I was paying for.
I’ve lived here for less than a year and I can’t wait to move. Maintenance is horrible. Our oven has been broken since the month we moved in and we’ve reported it 3 or 4 times and he comes and “works on it” and the temperature still doesn’t stay hot enough to cook anything. The fridge bottom shelf is busted, we didn’t realize this until we put food in there. To top it all off our door takes 5-10 minutes to open because the lock gets stuck when you go to turn your key back around to get it out. So not being able to get into my apartment along with very few close up parking spots, as a female I feel unsafe daily.
Management was well informed with helping us move in and a very friendly staff. They were able to help me get a downstairs unit which I am thankful for due to bad knees. Only been living here for a few days but overall could not be any happier with the place.
I loved living at Deerfield! There were never any problems, good parking for residents and it was a peaceful place to live. The maintenance was well kept and if I ever needed anything they were quick to fix it! Management always has answers to my questions and was always friendly! The apartment was spacious in the living room as well as the bedrooms and having a washer and dryer in unit was amazing. I highly recommend this place!
Me my family live for about 4 years and it was great at fist then after a new property manger nothing got fix and she was hardly here for rent and to put in work orders. Then third manger we had was on top of everything and she had singe that let you when she was or not. And now I dont recommend living here because they are hardly here and things are taking for to get fixed. Al so we really have bad wasp prolbem. The rent gone high for what your paying for. There is no pool, no gym no, play grand. They like to charged you for water usched but they dont sent Bill to let you know how much pay. My mom ask about that and the manger said it new and you should got a bill in the mail. My mom told we didnt not for months. The manger didnt say anything after that. She didnt say it was an email bill. Al she said the new owers are charging for water and they really dont how much tents are using. They are gusing how much by how many rooms. So if dont pay the water they charged you 20 dollars every day for late charged. My nabers have commented that there cars got broken in to. The snow removal sucks. Hallway smells like pot, dog kiss sometimes. They say have security come up at night to check up at night and that was only once about year go. So many people are moving out. So if dont mand paying over one thousand dollers here. Yay its a great place. My opinion dont. Dont let them use coived as a ecues. Even though you ask something get fixed and you have no signs of covid it well take long time to get fixed.
I highly recommend NOT living here I have lived here for 4 months and my boyfriends truck was towed while having a parking permit sticker in it, then his truck got broken into along with 3 other cars throughout the time of us living here, and my car got broke into today, and the people in the office doesn’t seem to care even after people have complained multiple times about this happening.
I love living here. It’s nice and quiet and lots of yard space for my pup to play! Everyone is kind and all of the staff are super nice and helpful!
After many years of living in a house but wanting to shed the responsibilities that a house brings with it I moved 3 years ago into a different apartment complex in CBluffs. I was not satisfied at all with this unnamed complex. Of course as I was new to the apartment living experience I made a poor choice. In November 2018 I moved into Deerfield and I am happy with my choice this time around. The 3 bedroom is spacious, clean and quiet. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was a must after going a couple years without them and having to use the laundry mat.Have had to call for maintenance on a couple of issues and they were both handled quickly and professionally. The hallways are kept clean for the most part, the cleaning person does a fine job and vacuums 2-3 times per week, the tenants should be more responsible for picking up after themselves when they break a garbage bag or something of that nature. That isnt a reflection of the complex staff its a reflection of a few lazy tenants. As a 2nd shift worker I must say that parking is a bit of a challenge some nights but for the most part I find a spot and have only had to use the visitor parking 2 nights in 6 months. People that give it a bad review based solely on that probably could use the exercise and walk from the visitors lot a little more often.Overall I am satisfied as apartment living gives me the freedom to not worry about mowing, shoveling snow, repairs, etc. and allows me to be free to do what I want to do with my time off work.
The office staff has regular hours posted, but every time I try to go to the office it’s locked with the lights on and an “open” sign in the window. Also, they can’t ever seem to keep the parking lot clear of snow and that is a huge issue when trying to get out of or back into the complex since the entrance is a steep hill. The only positive is the one main maintenance guy is nice and pretty responsive with work orders...the catch is it is much quicker to speak to him directly to place an order instead of going through the office since they’re never there. I will not be moving back.
Pretty quiet, minus my loud upstairs neighbors who sound like a herd of elephants when they walk. But other than that, it is a very clean apartment complex. The one main complaint I have is parking. Its terrible. If you have any life whatsoever and go out past 9pm, you wont have a parking spot when you come home. Im not sure if new management has started handing out parking passes like candy or what, but I cant find a parking spot to save my life. Having a washer/dryer in the unit is super convenient . I will never live anywhere that doesnt have this again. Maintenance is always super fast at fixing anything that comes up, which was a huge problem at my last apartment, so this was another plus.
Pros: In unit washer and dryer, quiet neighborhood, near the interstate, onsite manager, private security checks parking areas every night, and deer and wild turkeys sometimes stop by for a visit. (Dont really know if that last one is a pro for you but it is for me)Cons: Steep entryway and hard to find a parking space sometimes.
We lived here almost fives years its a wonderful place to live and it quiet and peaceful and the office lady is nice and understanding
My sister and I felt welcomed when we were signing our lease and moving in. Neighbors are nice but you can hear everything through the walls.
This place is a joke. They will be all happy go lucky to your face but will discriminate aginst you for prier history of charges that were DROPPED. And now we cant even get our deposit back and my familys homeless
Amazing place nice, and friendly they take care of everything fast and accurate
Horrible place to live. Maintenance requests do not get filled. They change property managers every 2 months.... Vandalism is at an all time high! Broken glass everywhere in the parking lot.. Office staff never answers the phone.. They let residents cars get towed through a company their not contracted with so residents cars are being stolen!!!! Its not worth the price of what you pay!!! Security is not even offered! Its best to move along and find someplace better. ValleyView looks great!
My wife and I moved into the apartment in December of 2018 so we havent been here long but I have some things that are worth sharing. An honest review that may help some people. The apartment itself is very spacious and was clean and everything worked upon move in. We have plenty of room for us and our two children. We are on the backside of the building and it is very quiet. We haven’t been woken up or even annoyed by neighbors or guests. So as far as living here, it is very comfortable and friendly. The maintenance is always helpful and is responsive within a day or two.The manager of the complex is very good. She came to us in January this year and has done everything in her power to get the answers for residents and get things completed. Any issues that she cant take care of must go to the higher managers who in my view have dropped the ball a little bit on spending or fixing anything that cost money. The honest part that a lot of people dont want to talk about is the things that are problem areas. I wouldnt say complaints but rather issues i have that are being worked on.Lets start with Snow removal. There is a very steep hill entering the complex that if it isnt dry, anything without 4 wheel drive will have trouble entering. The parking lot itself wasnt scooped very well for most of the winter season. It was better towards the end after a lot of frustrated residents made their voices heard. So hopefully next season we will see the improvement in that area. The parking lot is actually sub par in condition. A lot of ruts where people park and patchy fixes makes it all choppy and hard to navigate through. With only 1 entrance into the complex it makes it hard to turn around if you cant find a parking spot. There is not enough parking spaces for the amount of residents that have 2 cars. We got a garage for this reason. The most recent thing that happened that i find to be a huge issue is a young girl pulled the fire alarm in our building and it took 1 hour for the fire department to arrive. Multiple calls to maintenance to help figure out how to shut off. Im concerned that the alarm system doesnt trigger the fire department like its suppose to. That building would have burnt to the ground in that time frame. With that said, i do not honestly know if maintenance called the fire department to let them know it wasnt a real alarm thus making it jot a necessity to get there. None the less, the alarm was rather annoying for an hour. There are no amenities at this complex so as far as rent rate i think it might be a little high as we are literally only paying for a room. No pool, no computer lab, outside mail boxes, no gym room, no picnic tables, no community events, not really a lot of anything but eat and sleep.Overall Im going to give the complex a 4 star rating because they have been showing effort to fix some issues that have arose. The negatives listed above are really low points as my family and I at least feel safe in our home. Rome wasnt built in a day and I believe this manager will get some stuff worked out.
Maintence takes care of issues pretty quickly at this place. However, if you want to go out in the late evening or at night you might have a hard time finding a parking spot.
Visited girlfriend only to have my window broken out and everything stolen from my car. Just to have the owner to tell me the signs that say they have cameras are just for show... Great place
Parking sucks shouldnt have to pay this much to have to park in the other side of the complex
Parking is extremely inadequate
