Nice pf. Average side. Staff is cool. Nice area. Security patrols the parking lot constantly so if you are a van lifer like me I wouldnt recommend spending any time here even though the pf is 24/7.

Recently visited Newport Beach, California on vacation from Phoenix.While visiting, I attended Planet Fitness in Costa Mesa.This location is very clean and well maintained.All of the equipment was in working condition and clean during each of the ten times visiting the location.The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very easy to park in a clean parking lot.Thank you for making this a great location to weight train at away from home!

Very clean just as advertised as well as great and helpful staff ready to help. This place makes me WANT to work out lolGet the black card and u can enjoy massage chairs/tanning/etc. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😀😁 Love it and way better than 24 hr fitness although I do wish there was a sauna 😕🥴🤷🏼‍♀️Other than that factor Im satisfied with my membership so far! 💕

All the other people who give it bad ratings are snowflakes. I just go and put my headphones in and workout. You pay $10 a month don’t expect anything luxurious. I got 0 complaints. It’s a solid gym with good equipment. Always have a great workout .

Nice place to workout. Very convenient location and affordable. However, way too small and a lot of people workout here which creates less space and time to workout at your own pace. If you dont mind space then this gym should do.

Planet Fitness this gym is amazing! I worked out with her for the first time and Ill definitely be going back. Everyone there is so encouraging and it really keeps you motivated. On top of that, the place is super clean

Elevator trapped a person inside for 30 minutes because of mall power failure.

The manager of this facility is never in nor does he/she respond to emails or phone messages. They are continuously charging me even after I followed there directions on how to cancel, and I cannot get a hold of anyone in the facility that has the ability to help. When I finally spoke to the manager she was completely rude and unhelpful and informed me there was no account with my information, even though I was being charged from their gym. They clearly do not care for their members. Avoid at all costs. Nicer gyms with good customer service available at similar pricing.

I should have know after the first visit when I couldnt use the ladies locker room😒 But after visiting the Planet Fitness Costa Mesa several times I realized exactly how uptight the employees are and most of their Black Card benefits are lacking. No electrical outlets, most of the toilets were out of order and one of the two Hydro Beds were broke. A lot of homeless wondering around outside. Ive been in many PF but this one...it must be a California thing.....

This gym is beyond unprofessional. I continue to be charged for an unused membership during a global pandemic and each month get charged while the gym is not even open nor do I receive notifications when they do open again. It’s completely impossible to speak to member services to reverse the charges even at their headquarters. At this point, they’ve taken over $80 out of my checking account since March. I just want at least some of my money back and to not be charged any further.

If some people considered other ppl, it is a great place to do exercise,and all the equipment is new compare to 24 Fitness.

Recently signed, but didnt get a copy of everything I signed (electronically), even after asking for it which makes me worried in case I need to cancel (deadlines, automatic payments, etc.).

The manager was causing mass confusion among her staff instead of training them so she can delegate the work to them instead of jumping from one fire to the next without being done putting out the first fire.

The lady who I dealt with to cancel my account was extremely rude and after sending my notices from two months ago regarding my cancellation notice I sent the franchise. The team was rude and would not admit they mistakenly messed up by not confirming my cancellation at my initial notice. My coworker cancelled her membership today and was refunded allHer money no problem at a different branch. This franchise is shady about cancelling (even though I moved six hours away)

Judgement-free place to work out. No odd stares, no harassment, clean place. The staff is composed of friendly people. My favorite is employee is Oscar, because he is very friendly. He makes the gym feel like a safe place to be, and he is always doing his duties regardless of whether or not he is acknowledged by staff.

They decided to change your contracts folks.If you have a regular membership, you no longer have internet access. If unfortunately you are on a regular month-to-month contract, like myself, consider speaking with an attorney for damages​ IF planet fitness failed to give you notice of the change. Who know- might be worth a class action. You can even just file for yourself in small claims court.In other news, the genius who changed the settings to the wifi did not do a great job- they left it vulnerable to attacks and also, if you are logged in, you can communicate with other devices. Unfortunately there are privacy issues- your info can possibly be accessed by others logged into their Network (but only while you are also logged into their Network). See pics I attached.

Super happy I joined Planet Fitness. Hydro massage alone is worth the extra $ for a black card membership. No contract, lovin that! This location open 24/7.

Very clean gym with friendly staff! Welcoming environment conductive to working out. The prices are also unbeatable. Only thing I didnt like was the lack of a power rack (they only have smith machines), the lack of barbells bars to load up plates (they only have dummbells and small barbells that do not go above 100 lbs and that already have preset weights that cannot be changed), and the lack of benches for bench press (they have regular benches but only for the dumbbell section).But I understand that the demographic that they cater to prefers the gyms to be that way.

Mixed reviews on this facility. I loved the massage beds and chair and the showers and the equipment, wish they had classes thou. And the staff wasnt always with it or wanted to be there. When I had to cancel my membership I remember going thru alot of stuff having to prove that I had cancelled. Finally after 2 months, they got it straight. For the money their alright for what they offer and the fact that they were open 24/7 worked for me. They could train their staff a little bit better with customer service training.

Nice work out area. The design is good and can be nicer than most gym bathrooms if they cleaned it. Staff was friendly. It all seemed in order. I like their timed work out area. In the past review, I said that the bathroom was dirty, but I just visited again and signed up and it seems mostly clean now on a consistent basis.

I love Planet fitness

I like this gym for several reasons; 1. It is very clean and the staff is on top of keeping it that way. 2. The people at this gym are normal people who are just trying to workout, it is not a fashion show or pickup spot like other gyms around the OC. 3. They have tanning beds and massage chairs and a total body enhancement machine that is all built into the cost of the membership. The cost of the black list membership is still cheaper than the cost of the lowest level at that other club that I will not mention.

Good gym with very friendly staff. Pretty much has everything you need. The facility is clean and well-maintained.Note that there is no adjustable curling bar or bench with removable plates but it’s the planet fitness policy.

Its an OK Gym, more so for the Workout than anything else. The Best time to go here is in the middle of the night. But the Showers Could Definitely use some new Heads !

I like working out here. No shaming going on like other gyms. Staff is very helpful. Equipment is always clean and in proper working condition. Front desk is always staffed, never left unattended and organized. Employees are always making rounds to make sure that all is well with members and equipment.

Y’all need to get a standard bench instead of a Smith’s machine

Great location with great staff and friendly environment. My five-star review goes mainly toward the staff who make the workout and hygiene-facilities feel comfortable, accessible, and welcoming. I have seen a very tall man work here for some time who, additionally, has always been friendly and prompt to the concerns of guests. His coworkers, almost always, are in light-humor, too.

Finally couldn’t cancel my account online wait until the reopening on September. This place is not the same with the new management.

The gym is not bad at all. My complaint for this particular branch is that I cant sign up unless Im willing to hand them my routing and checking account number. Poor business decision! Goes to show you really dont want my business. Customers shouldnt be strong armed into business. I get were in modern day where we do everything electronically, but whats wrong with Cash or even plastic. For $10 bucks I think this level of requests is outrageous. Understand my point of view PLANET FITNESS. Just out of curiosity, what about the people who actually cant get a checking account for some reason or another? Sounds like a Sorry, but sucks for you. No one wipes down what they use because they don’t use rags. Kinda strange to have blow dyers in the bathroom to “save the planet” but they waste the rolls of paper towels to clean machines? The cleaning products are so diluted they are straight water with a little pink to it. What is that cleaning? Absolutely nothing. Needs to be fixed so I feel clean in the gym I choose to workout at.

Planet fitness exceed my expectation as an international student from Taiwan ! I registered online yesterday and it took only about a minute to take a photo and sign the agreement this morning.Unlike 24 hours fitness, they didnt have salesmen to waste your time. They arent many people at all from 6:30 to 8 am.The shower and locker rooms are nice and clean.Only $10 a month + $5 donation + $40 annual fee every December.The lockers are not too far from the weights area which is very convenient for me to take my stuffs.I love this place :)When I cancelled my membership (move to another city) in person two years ago, they were very straight to the point as well.Best deal I can ever find!Low cost and high quality!!

I generally liked this spot since it’s not my home gym, but on one occasion I notified the staff of an issue in the bathroom. Someone crapped all over the place. I notified the staff thinking that someone would go an d clean it shortly. But, a few hours later it still wasn’t cleaned. I nor anyone else could use the toilets. A change of shift had occurred since I first notified the front desk staff. I was tempted to ask for the cleaning supplies to do it myself. It needed a hose down. That’s how bad it was. I understand that no one likes to do that kind of work, but it’s a business and customers needed to use the bathroom.

They have signs up saying you must wear masks at all times, and then when you walk in a lot of people are not. The staff does nothing. Very disappointing, I’m sure the state would agree.

Rude staff - my husband and I come in needing to use the restroom and showers and the mens room was closed with no other option available. The ladies wouldnt let my husband use the facilities because they were all in there cleaning - if you are an establishment/gym that is open 24/7, you should have restrooms available for everyone at all times. No excuses. I love Planet Fitness and use them across the country, but havent ever had this issue.

Good price and a good gym. Not too busy usually so its easy enough to find a machine or the right weights. They have a stretching area, ab circuit, 30 minute full body workout circuit and lots of weights and machines. Membership is $10 a month but didnt include the black card membership extras.Black card membership is $20 a month and gives you access to the black card area with massage beds, tanning booth and total body enhancement (infrared thing). You can also go to any planet fitness location that is not your home gym and bring in a friend with you to work out for free. Its a really good deal and a nice

Went in today and spoke to the new store manager Miguel about wanting to re-instate my membership on a prepay annual basis with legal tender USD currency, as I do not live in the country and do not have a US bank account, and he basically referred me to join their competition and even went as far as listing all the ones that would be able to accomodate me, even though all of them were further away and inconvenient for me.What kind of business would have someone in-charge of handling the intake of new clients and refer them to their competition specially when they have need to make payroll for their overstaffed employees, all of which were just standing behind the counter on their phones or playing around with each other. They literally had about 15+ employees all working today.If this location is independently owned, they should be able to personalize their business model and cater to their community properly and not run on archaic brick and mortar corporate policies which are all closing down.They have a motto of Hassle Free Gym but today I literally felt like they are trying their hardest to turn that around and instigate inconvenience to their clients.I have never written reviews for a business, nor did I feel the need to express my experience before as I have better things to be doing with my time than going on a keyboard rage. And I know reviews can publicly humiliate and effect businesses. But this Business should be reported to the Better Business Bureau for false advertisements and misleading their customers.Edit: to below owners response-EFT is not one bit secure as there are constant data breaches, even with major companies and financial institutes. Nor is it convenient as cash is still widely used.Especially if you are serving in a predominantly hispanic demographic, you are loosing out on a lot of business.

The most basic of PF locations I have seen. Its very busy during primetime, however its a much better choice than the 24 hour fitness locations near by. Stairmills are often broken which is especially worsened by 2 months repair times. Also, the security has been increased but you should make sure your doors are locked and be mindful of people walking by you that are suspicious in the later hours. Do not even think about using their showers.

Great price and easy to get your work out done quickly. Also, I noticed the employees are always wiping down everything to make sure everything is disinfected for everyone. Keep on keeping everything clean!!

Zeke is a fantastic manager that shows that he cares about his patrons. Its extremely easy to get into the workout here. Love the atmosphere, so if your looking for a gym, you should apply here

Great place to work out! Especially great when you have the black card and you can go with a friend. The facility is kept clean and and true to its motto there is no pressure to be Uber fit. You see people of all ages and all stages of their fitness journey. There are plenty of machines there, especially for cardio. Many specialty areas as well such as 12 minute abs, stretching area, or 30 minute full body work out.

I signed up here just to use the tanning facilities for the last 2 or 3 years. Hopefully one of these days (soon) i just might actually take full advantage of all the gym has to offer.

Great gym, especially for those who enjoy cardio. Not packed compared to 24 or LA Fitness even after work! Open 24 hours, large locker rooms and showers. Bring my sister in all the time with me, enjoy the Black Card perks! My only complaint is the stretching area is a bit small.

I was very disappointed by this very small, unmanaged location!!! Felt more like a high school dance with all the kids just standing AROUND.... Not working out at all.... management needs to really really get on the ball with this..... Get to working out, or get out!! If this was my only planet fitness location I would be canceling my membership

As advertised it’s a different experience. Lots of machines, treadmills, stair climbers etc, a workout station where you do 30 seconds of one and go to the next is cool, but some people don’t follow the numbered routine and it makes for a bad exp. I’ve seen broken equipment or worn out seats with purple duct tape, and trashed bathrooms (the local homeless pay $30 for free showers, no joke because the college kids doing there homework don’t execute like they are supposed too. I’ve seen fights here, altercations and the police at this location. It’s nestled in with other local businesses so parking can be fun during peak hours, but at least you get a 5 min walk..I do like coming and going during non peak hours. It’s a good location and for $30 with no contract is great. They do have an upgraded experience with tanning bed and massage for a premium. But only during the day. Over all it’s 5 stars because it’s not known for steroid using customers

I love it. They respect you and it only cost $10 a month and $40 annual fee. In my experience, Planet fitness is way better than 24hr fitness.

I have never been mistreated the way I have been today, and I have been a black card member since 2016. This location has poor customer service the receptionist yesi and tabby were so rude. I left my scan card at home so I tried to use my number and yesi was so rude about it, she told me in front of other customers that I was not able to check in and I must have my scan card as I tried to explain the situation her co worker tabby was making face expressions and laughing boldly in my face. Watch out for those two they have the worst customer service ever!

Small gym but good selection of equipment and well maintained. Good place to get in, get a good sweat going, then get in with your day.

Great place to workout. Although compared to most other PF this one has push-over employees. Really just get paid to stand. The motto is judgment free zone and some of the other gym goers dont seem to be aware of that, and the employees do nothing to help make this a comfortable place.

The staff is REALLY friendly except... Just Kidding everyone is really nice. However I wish they would fix a FEW things... The Massage Chairs dont really grip on the legs anymore, room #4 Beauty Enhancer doesnt have sound or music options that works. Some Cardio Machines dont have earphone plugins that work. Ive been to other locations and even their Water Massage Beds are sit up, that would be nice if one is like that and the other is laying down . Other than that I love this place and by far the best machines Ive used compare to other gyms. I have completely transformed my body and this atmosphere is a place to just keep on going and reaching your goals.

Ive been going here for a couple of years and have been mostly happy with the gym. The machines are not as brand spankin new as they used to be, but are still in good working order. The locker rooms could be cleaned up more often/thoroughly than they currently are, as everything I enter the locker room it smells riiiipe. Other than that the price is amazing and will continue going until they increase their prices.

Machines work!!Gotta say that was great work in fixing the tanning beds so fast! This also goes for the other few machines that were not working at the time.Staff are friendly! Location is very sanitized and people are mindful in not useing the machines while being on there phone. The best part is that its 24 hours and way cheaper then 24 hour fitness.Ill reccomend my friends amd family anytime! Thank you guys for the great work and dedication!Judgment free zone!!

Generic globo gym. Front desk is usually friendly. No free bars, only machines and usually pretty crowded. I typically come here to run on the treadmill.

I have been a member for awhile and its definitely worth the $10 a month, cleanliness is mostly a hit but sometimes a miss, staff is super friendly. I decided to cancel my membership today because they had an end of summer block party which sounds lovely but they have a ridiculous amount of food and catering in the gym, super unhealthy, super smelly. I just ate before my workout so for me its really about the inconvenience. In the ladies locker area however, there were a lot of women talking about how rude it is to have this going on during their workouts, because they are trying to hard to cut out bad foods (tacos, nachos aka exactly what they are cooking up in the gym) I just think it is so inconsiderate for gym goers to have hot food being wafted in their (and my) faces when all we came here to do is work out and not be subject to the shameless promotion of fast food restaurants and product placement (candy etc). Im sure some people enjoy it, but for some who are really struggling to put their health first - especially from a place which harps nonstop about fitness, putting yourself first etc.Total fail on the part of planet fitness, know your audience, maybe do some polling before hand to find out what your members appreciate. A banana would have been nice, but alas not one fruit or vegetable has made an appearance.In a nutshell: its hard enough for hard working men and women to come to the gym after a full day of work on a Monday, I would prefer getting a free bottle of water, complementary towel, or nothing at all if the alternative is to have my mood, and workout and for some, their health sabotaged by my own gym that pay to attend. This is not the service I signed up for and honestly it shows that planet fitness really doesnt have a clue about what actually does a body good.Time to switch up my workout routine and try some classes and maybe get outdoors. To those of you that enjoy the wafting smell of food in a poorly ventilated building while you are trying to get in your workout, this gym is definitely for you! Bon appetit! (I did only put one star but I changed it to two, because this is my personal opinion and there are probably some people out there who really do appreciate this- I have yet to meet one, but Im sure they are out there )

These place the bathrooms are very dirty that are always out of paper their staff are so rude especially the girls the only good thing they have is a trainer hes nice and their machines theyre all dirty and the equipment the staff instead of being cleaning there just talking into each other or with their friends not with the members is a very convenient location for us because the other location is far for us but the other eno is much better.
