Love this gym! Very friendly and helpful staff and facility has a lot to offer.
Excellent space for youth sports. With all the schools disallowing youth sports we have been grateful that G3 is close to our community and open for business.
Member of this gym almost since it opened. Great for pickleball, basketball, volleyball. Weights, resistance machines and aerobic equipment are good.
This review is for people planning on using the weight room. Not those that use the courts and other amenities.I should have payed closer attention during my tour of the weight room. I can’t speak about the rest of the facility, but it’s what I’m going to call a convenience gym. Only go for just the weight room and cardio equipment if it’s a convenient enough location and worth the money. The weight room is small with outdated and limited equipment. Things like the restrooms and water fountains look like they haven’t had a deep clean in 5 years. I switched to a gym in town. G3 also takes a $99 joining fee just for access to the weight room.Just keep it all in mind and pay attention to your needs when you tour. You can get much better pricing and a lot more equipment about 5 minutes into town at Planet Fitness or Snap Fitness.
Love this place! Its New, Clean, and crazy affordable! Best deal in town, by far. Basketball pick up games have a good crowd and midday workouts are perfect if you like having an entire gym to yourself. If G3 was on Tinder, I would definitely swipe right ;) keep doing what youre doing
A large, immaculately clean workout facility with all that you need, including a professional and friendly staff. Oh, and a coffee bar.Monthly fees are on par with the rest of the local gyms, (about $30/monthly for basic). New member deals might be a nice incentive for management to consider. Or rewards for Yelp reviews. Just sayin.Individual TVs for each piece of equipment and all equipment are clean and in good working order.I’ve found that mid-afternoon (2:30p - 4:00p) is a great time to workout without much fanfare. Other gym members that I’ve encountered are respectful and considerate...except for two guys that run on the treadmill while insisting on simultaneously having a conversation they barely have breath for...you know who you are.Very pleased with my membership here and the way I’ve never felt out of place or unwelcome. You’ll be happy too. Except when those two guys are yell-talking on the treadmill about their buddy Jim from marketing with the new jet skis. But indigees
G3 Sports and Fitness is the friendliest gyms I have ever been a part of. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, professional and fun to be around. If you have a family and are looking for a gym this is place, great gym space(2 basketball courts, volleyball courts, batting cage), hot tubs, fitness classes and a cafe to get something to eat as well. Family friendly place. They even have a fun coordinator for kids events(Tayte).
We went for a volleyball tournament. Nice facility but zero seating for spectators. Staff made up of mostly early 20s kids don’t have customer service skills. Parking is extremely limited with nothing else close by
Ive done a lot of research on the local gyms here in Corvallis. Ive attended several gyms in my life and even worked at one. Ive now been going to G3 for several months and thought Id share my experience. Here are the pros of G3:-Compared to other gyms, the membership rate is decent.-There are more group exercise classes than other gyms.-There are a few more evening classes than other gyms, which allows for those who have a job to attend.-The spa is really nice!-The staff is very friendly! Here are the cons of G3:-The weight room has very little variety and is surprisingly small for such a large facility.-The weights are outdated and do not offer a lot of adjustments to suit individual needs.-Weight room feels like a quiet library. It needs music or something so we dont feel like we need to whisper.-The sign in process is very odd. Instead of just scanning a card like every other gym Ive attended, you yell out your name to the staff member behind the counter and then use a bulky card to get into the areas you want. For such a large facility I would think theyd have a normal system of just checking in with a bar-code? Ive had little key-chain bar-codes and phone-app bar-codes. G3 should get one of those.-My least favorite part, no one attends the classes. For another unknown reason, G3 has really poor class attendance. A few times Ive been the sole participant! Its not for lack of good instructors, it really feels like an advertising problem? Like why are there not special deals to get people interested in classes? Or promotions letting us know about cool, new classes etc. Or why dont the instructors have better speakers? Or why does it cost so much extra to be able to attend the classes?? I love attending classes and have been unpleasantly surprised to find few fellow participants.-Needs more evening classes. Though there are more evening classes than other local gyms, there are still not many. None of them hit that golden 7pm hour and I have no idea why. Those with jobs would dig a 7pm class.Over all I do like G3, Im glad to attend however, it just has an air of being a has-been. It is a big grand facility that boasts of outdated equipment and poor attendance. Id love to see some vitality and new life breathed into it!
Great place to play basketball! Open gym on MWF in the evenings. Time works perfect for my schedule. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Highly recommend checking this place out. Can even pay per visit.
I dont recommend a full-time membership. I give one star because the facilities are nice, if not cold at times (which I dont always mind because I sweat). G3s customer service is lacking and when dealing with issues is very poor (rude and presumptuous). Employees need training on how to deal with presenting issues and dealing with them in a professional manner. Even more important, resolving matters should also be done professionally rather than forgotten or dismissed. I dont expect perfection, but I do expect a genuine attempt at professionalism and delegation rather than accusation and pride.
The most friendly and inviting staff Ive encountered in years! Warm and welcoming environment, and super relaxing spa. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Awesome facility with a very friendly staff. Perfect place to get shots up (basketball) along with a clean workout area. Highly recommend a visit here.
I would definitely recommend checking out this gym. I am new to the area and was looking for a gym to drop into and found G3. I have used the weight room and sauna/steamroom/hot tub area. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I found the weight room to be will equipped and most importantly, clean. They have a good selection of cardio machines as well. I have not used the hardwood gym area but it seems they always have a class or someone playing a net sport. The monthly rates seem very reasonable for how much stuff is going on.
G3 sports and fitness has really made the north end of Corvallis better. Their great facilities have helped my family and I stay in shape and the staff are outstanding and will learn your name and greet you on entry. Inside, you will find a New Morning north cafe which serves fresh food with vegan and vegetarian options. There’s also great coffee. The gym itself is new and well maintained. We love our membership and go here very frequently. G3 sports and fitness is very kid friendly unlike most other gyms and it has a lot of fun things you can do. There’s basketball, volleyball, pickle ball, soccer fields, a nice batting cage, and an array of HD tv’a for watching a game or even some spongebob with the kids. This place is a great place to spend time getting in shape and it really makes north Corvallis a better place!
Strongly do not recommend to anyone. I tried this gym out for a few months and I had many bad experiences until I could not take it anymore and decided to leave. At first I was very optimistic and had high hopes for this gym but do not let the new facilities fool you, it is terribly cold all the time and the employees are unfriendly and rude. The atmosphere is unwelcoming and I felt very belittled every time I worked out. There is always a class or open gym session during peak hours and it is very hard to do what you want to, when you want to. It is not worth the time and hassle to drive all the way out to G3 and be disappointed. I would rate this zero stars if I could.
This gym is very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Love the open gyms. Come here as much as I can. Great people that work here too.
Great facility! has a very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and not out of my way. definetly will be returning in the future!!
Ive been going to G3 for 3 years now and Ive been to several classes, HIIT and Crossfit are fantastic, I love the team members and their friendliness and the family feel. Its a great place to be.
I love this gym. Open gyms are fun. Great employees.
The staff here at G3 fitness was great . drop ins are easy and welcomed. the facility is first class large gym, coed hot tub and sauna with showers. the gym could have a little better set up but owner ship is commited to this gym and it will be worked out. i live in lincoln city oregon and when i am in corvallis oregon and need a work out and some recovery therapy G3 fitness is were i will be..... Also for all the parents out there, there is day care so no excuses
We went with a group for batting practice for 30 minutes for 12$. 10 minutes of that is filling out waivers, the employees forgetting to get you bags and other stupid things. When we went 4:40 to 5:10, they decided that we owed another 12$ because they didn’t let us know that it’s not actually 30 minutes of batting. Take your money, but won’t be going back.
