This is definitely one of the best gyms I’ve been to! There’s plenty of machines and space available and the staff are friendly and hardworking. Jimmy goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and is always available for help and fitness tips! He makes morning workouts just a little better with great music and conversation! I’m also impressed with how clean and sanitary the gym is kept, no matter the time of day. It’s always a pleasant workout experience whenever I go!

I go to this gym 5 days a week. Im not very fit so I was a bit self conscious at first. James is awesome. He makes my wife and I feel welcome and encouraged, and always has a positive attitude. The gym is always clean and stocked. Keep up the great work!!
Couldnt be happier making the switch from my old gym to Planet Fitness in Corvallis. They have all the equipment you could ask for and then some! Jimmy is definitely one of the warmest, friendliest staff members there, always greeting everyone with a smile, making pleasant conversations, helping keep all the equipment clean and providing an amazing workout experience for all the members.
So far, my experience had been mixed. The first time I came in nobody even acknowledged I was there and there were 3 people working behind the desk (2 on their phones). Now when I come in and sign in, most businesses say hello or welcome in, even a thank you. These people don’t even look at you, make sure it you signing in or anything. Then when you you leave… you guessed it not a thank you for coming in or have a good day. Kinda rude!!!On the plus side, there are lots of weights and cardio machines to choose from. Although I think their noise meter is broke. A guy kept dropping his dumbbells yesterday sounding like thunder and shaking the floor (meter was quiet).I will post again when I have been here a bit and see if anything has changed.
I had never been to this gym before and was nervous about working out again after the pandemic, but Jimmy at the front desk was very nice and helpful and created such a positive atmosphere for me, which made me feel right at home and encouraged me to keep coming everyday. Nice, clean gym with friendly staff and a great vibe overall!
I was a regular patron at PF. I had to leave the area temporarily and forgot to cancel my membership in the mean time. I attempted to cancel over the phone but they won’t allow that. The only options are cancel in person or by mail. I’m not spending the money to send a letter when I should certainly be able to cancel free of charge. I’m also not flying there to cancel a gym membership. After blocking the charge to my bank account, they took the liberty of charging my credit card on file. When I asked to speak with a manager on the phone about some of this I was hung up on I highly recommend going elsewhere.Update following PF response below:The response is insulting. There wasn’t miscommunication. An employee intentionally ended the conversation without a word after I asked to speak with management. I have zero questions about the policy and nothing was unclear. I am not able to be there in person and refuse to spend money to cancel a membership that I should have zero issues canceling. Instead I have been on the phone with the club several times and treated poorly by employees. Also for others who may face this issue. I decided to block the charge from my bank and PF took the liberty of charging a credit card that I have never used to pay for this subscription but purchases at the club (bottled drinks etc). Be aware of this.
My husband is celebrating his birthday today. James helped us make it special, he suggested a spa day. The massage chairs were awesome. Thanks James!
Like it here (a lot): clean, friendly, staff is great and answer any question I have. There is always plenty of room (and space) between people. I find there is never a shortage of machines/ equipment to workout on/with.
I absolutely love this gym. I would recommend a black card membership for anybody. But thats mainly because I am a big fan of the massage chair and Tanning. I like to massage workout massage and then go into tan. I never have found a time of day that I have to wait for anything that I want to do while Im there.
I’ve been using this gym for over a year and I couldn’t be happier! Jimmy and Austin are extremely helpful at the front desk and are both incredibly friendly. The facility is always very clean, as the employees are constantly maintaining sanitation requirements. I highly recommend this spectacular gym.
Great gym. Clean, nice staff, and a positive atmosphere. Plug and play for almost all levels of experience and a great place to learn and get started for the novice. Note for the advanced, wish the free weight dumbbells went higher in weight and that they had free weight squat racks. However, the price is great!
Visited from a different state. Its a relatively new Planet Fitness and is pretty large; the locker rooms and black card spa were surprisingly big.Wish they had more free weights and machines; they were in high demand. The cardio machines, stairs, treadmills, etc. not so much.
Planet Fitness has a great facility for the price. I got the black card just so I could use the hydro massager and tanning. I think it is worth it for the little bit in price difference.

I really like the gym because they have all good equipment. but personally I’m disappointed because the gym looks very dirty. that supposed to be a perfect time to have all the equipment clean but when you get in You can see by the glass all equipment over there is very dirty dirt everywhere the person responsible to clean he did just do a little bit of floor that’s it do you need to pay someone professional to take care of this kind of job you cannot use the same person who work at the front desk to clean the floor because they not have experience and energy to do This kind of job every day some people have a limit they can do only one thing a day I think will be good for the future to hire someone just to do the cleaning.

This is a good value of having an inexpensive place to work out; the equipment is clean and new, and staff are friendly. It would be better if there were more free-weights and benches - which could be traded for the more than ample supply of cardio equipment in hand, but it currently works for the number of people.
Ive been using this facility for over a month and I just complained to the desk about how bad the changing rooms and showers are. I mean gross!! I will update my post if things improve.
Jimmy at the front desk is my favorite person to see in the morning! He’s always welcoming and chooses the best music. I’ve never seen him slack on the job - he makes sure the place is as clean as possible and makes an effort to learn everyone’s name. :-)
For some reason even though you can make an account over the phone you are required to go in in person or send a signed letter to cancel. I ended up closing the bank acount my pf acount charged and they still send me daily texts telling me to pay the balance even though I have called and tried to cancel the acount multiple times after moving away from corvallis. Why make it so hard to cancel unless you know your buisness is trash.?Go suport some local gym youll have a better experience!
By far the best planet fitness I’ve been to mind staff and I always feel confident coming in to the “judgement free zone” haha love that I get access to tanning too
The store is always clean, every time I come in Kassidy welcomes me with a warm smile and greets me by name.. She is always cleaning something be it machines or the restrooms. Love this place !!

So far all I have yet to experience from this company is fraud on their part pertaining to forgery, where I decided not to persue action, instead finding another gym. And suspect timing on member fees. Why advertise something so egregiously inaccurate? Its a house of clowns run by none other than Barnum and baileys circus.
Kassidy at the Corvallis store, is always full of smiles, cleaning, friendly, professional, and always keeps me up to date on changes. With her being one of the last original people there she has made me feel welcome and wanted like I belong! Thank you Kassidy!! You freaking rock!

I became a member shortly after PFs grand opening. PF has a core group of employees who greet you by name as you come through the door with a happy and cheerful hello day in and day out. Its not always easy to be motivated for a workout but these people have the ability to turn your day around with the atmosphere they provide. The facility is always clean with numerous stations throughout the facility well stocked with sanitizer to keep the environment Covid safe. The equipment is new and well maintained. There is always great music. The lighting is superior to other gyms making colors vibrantly pop. Its definitely not a dark dingy cave by design to hide the filth that can build up over the years. PF has the best air filtration system money can buy with giant ceiling fans to insure proper airflow. All businesses in our area have been handicapped by inconvenient restrictions placed upon them. I am very pleased with the effort PF has made to provide a great facility to use at an excellent value. PF has set the standard high and given us a first class facility, its up to you now to stepup and use it to achieve your goals!
During the COVID Reopening PF has clearly marked cardio machines to allow social distancing, they have sneeze guards at the front counter, employees wear masks, there are extra hand sanitizer stations and cleaning supplies available. We were told they hired a company to come in and deep clean regularly.

In the past, Planet Fitness has been a great gym to go to, however now I will be cancelling to find a new gym that has better practices during covid.A message to the owner: I understand the decision to do waitlists instead of appointments, but I heavily encourage you to allow us to get on the waitlist in advance. If the wait were reasonable, I would find the current situation acceptable but the waits are upwards of 50 minutes every time (and Ive come in at multiple different times of the day). Not everyone has a car to sit in so unfortunately I sat outside in the rain. That is too ridiculous of a wait to force us to come in first to put our names on the list. If I can simply call to get my name on in advance I can actually be there when I am supposed to without being forced to wait in the rain or having to walk all the way back home and back (which will take the equivalent so whats the point). Theres also really no point in making people come in to get on the waitlist, when its so long most will leave and come back. Waitlist by phone also eliminates a lot of foot traffic in the lobby. Its one small change so I really hope its considered so I dont have to cancel my membership, which is something Id rather not do.One day I went in and was told to wait, I was allowed in the spa to wait because I am a black card member. The next day when I tried the same thing, I was brushed off when and eventually finally told it wasnt allowed, and that the employee who let me schedule in the spa was wrong. There seems to be some discrepancy on the rules employees are following. The staff is kind and overall helpful, but following a system that just isnt working and should be fixed.
The price is very nice and they have tanning, massage machines. However they just have medium weights and too many cardio machines. I hope they will bring in more heavier dumbells and powerful machine such as leg-press machine that could support at least eight weight plates each side.The maximum dumbells just are 75Lbs. The barbells are 60. Leg press machine only suppport 5 45Lbs-plates each side. They only have smith machine for squat, deadlift or babell chest press. They are friendly for novice only.
If you have a complaint, the best way to contact them is through Facebook DMs. Don’t bother trying to speak with someone from the branch who speaks to you as if they have authority. Just send a message. It’s easier and apparently the social media team have more power than the Regional Manager, Marcus.
Pretty nice PF but still PF 4 stars
I am a regular member of planet fitness and any other day I would give it 5 stars, however today I was working out and got off my machine. I went straight to the water fountain to fill my water and when I took my mask off to get a drink the gyms mask poliece started yelling at me for having it off to get a drink. How else am I supposed to drink my water without moving my mask?I am extremely put out by how this employee acted towards me. He could have asked me politely instead of attacking with how he said it.

Freshly opened, planet fitness is very sizable. It has a wide variety of machines, from cardio to weight lifting. It even had other great and fun amenities like free pizza and bagels on certain days of the month, and a spa. The machines work well, and I love how many machines there are. Additionally, it is by far the most affordable option in Corvallis. Additionally, though new all of the staff seem to be knowledgeable and friendly. Great experience so far!

Insanely long waitlist, an hour or longer each time Ive gone. Wouldnt be a big deal if they let us call ahead but they require us to come in physically to get on the waitlist, then leave the building. No appointments either. Keep these in mind if youre planning on visiting: hour-long wait, must schedule in person, no appointments, and you cant wait inside.
I signed up online at the start of CO-VID. Due to my field of work and the state shutdown, I was unable to use my membership and paused it via phone/email July.Since then, I have sustained several injuries forcing me to stay in bed and in my house. I’ve also been quarantined. I would like to pause my membership via phone/email again due to my challenging circumstances but apparently even the regional manager can’t make an exception. Because of my physical condition and quarantine, I have also experienced a loss of wages and do not have extra money to continue paying for a gym membership that I have never used. I haven’t even been able to step into the building one time since the start of my application.Now, it’s amazing to me that I was able to do everything so easily online.... until I’d like to pause it for another 3 months.I have had to call several places of business that I am a member of or frequent, and I have been met with empathy, compassion and usually a very simple solution. I am disappointed with this policy, especially in a time like this. I’m disappointed with the lack of respect in the “customer service” that I was met with. Neither Austin or Marcus, the Regional Manager, said, “Wow, that sounds really tough. Let’s see if there’s something we can do to help with that.” I am a healthcare professional with injuries, no family in the area and loss of wages for the time-being. Surely, there is someone to speak to or some simple solution. Otherwise, I regret ever paying a cent to this business and especially this location.If there is no resolution that allows me to do this virtually/electronically or at least halt the charge until I can get in there myself, I will be removing my payment method and contacting representation.If CO-VID was the reason I was able to sign up and pause online so easily, then it should be even easier now since the cases in our county are at its highest, along with rapid increases to the nation’s cases and death toll.Can’t wait to hear what you strive to do in this situation, instead of what you’ll do to amend it.⬇️ The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Started a membership the month Covid came to town. The front desk informed me my account would be put on hold until I felt comfortable coming in to the gym....I was called out to a wildfiire in Ca. For the last 4 months. I returned understanding that it was my consent when I wanted to show up to the gym for my very first workout. Then as Im looking at my bank statements I find Ive been charged since they decided to let members back in may !!! Overdrafts after overdrafts over 360.00_ $ of charges for absolutely nothing !!! So I figured Id contact the Corvallis gym and let them know the situation thinking with the worlds Covid situation and me be on a a fire call for months they would just scratch the charges and have me start fresh beings I had never once entered their establishment, oh SURPRISE SURPRISE !! they had no sympathy and no reversed charges or sorry about the whole deal. I am not giving them another nickel and I dont believe anyone else should either !! Horrible customer relations and piss poor bogus membership s !!! Thanks for nothing Planet RIP OFF !!!!!!!
I was charged $40 because they did not inform me when they re-opened, as if I was suppose to continually check when they re-open so I could cancel my membership. When I signed up for my membership the contract was not explained to me properly. Also their staff seemed unprofessional and didnt know how some of their own programs/machines worked.
This is my favorite gym Ive been a part of. Its affordable with nice equipment and enough of it to share, as well as other amenities that are top notch and make the gym experience relaxing with ways to unwind and recover your muscles after a circuit. Love.
Now, my complaint is that they have a robot respond to reviews and complains instead of an actual person. Joe Bouchard, the manager who actually lives in the Hamptons, obviously doesn’t give a rats ass about the health of our community.When I asked why I had to come in, while I’m quarantined, to cancel my membership Marcus told me, “Well, we’re wearing masks.” Ok, well I work with COVID patients. I guess I could just rub germs all over my clothing and still contaminate a building even while sanitizing my hands and wearing my mask. Real airtight “COVID” policies.It’s also comical that they’re basically saying “COVID is over so you can come in now” but then talk to you about how clean their gym is and have a strict mask policy. I wonder why.
Love the new equipment and layout. Most staff are really friendly. 4 stars not 5 for these reasons 1. Line to check in. Really? Why have the card with a bar code if you have to check with the front desk. 2. When I asked for a copy of the class schedule I got told I had to wait since there was a line of people to check in. Really? Would have taken 2 seconds to hand me a paper or point it out in the reader board. Need to get this ironed out to get 5 stars.
Good place to work out
I asked for some closed captions on the tvs and they added them to every other! 😁 Now, if they just had an auto door for those who would benefit, since- you know, they dont judge and everyone is welcome. Currently, due to covid-19 the showers and lockers in locker rooms are closed and every other piece of equipment is fitness distanced. Employees are helpful and friendly. I love to run outside, but this time of year is really hard for me. Im happy to have an indoor option complete with weights and other options.

I love that they are staffed 24/7 and you dont have to pay extra to speak to a trainer. I also like that Im not the only overweight person working out there and the staff are friendly and helpful. They are also committed to creating a judgement free zone.
There are lots of cardio machines. I like the variety of weight machines and pulley systems. I really like the Hydro beds and massage chairs. The staff is friendly. Good location and lots of parking.
Enjoying the latest addition to Corvallis gym options. Ability to use red-light therapy as well as get your cardio or weight workout in is a huge difference compared to most of the others in town including the size and open area. Bit of a change over the smaller clubs or crazy over priced options.

Attempted to call about my membership. The staff member Kendra was extremely rude. Huffed a puffed when I asked to talk to a manager. Manager got on the phone and he was by far the rudest manager I’ve ever talked to. I would never recommend anyone dealing with this location.
