Wonderful park with lots of walking trails. Several beachy areas. Apparently you are not allowed to swim or play in the water at the beaches. You can get your feet wet but that is it. Signs with fines and security/park police will write tickets.Several boaters came near beach dropped in swimmers. That seems to be ok.Several people launched paddle board, kayak and blow up boats. Nobody seemed to bother these individuals. So that too may be ok.Enjoyed a little picnic and dice game while watching the water.
Nicely paved, well shaded trail circling the park that takes you down by the lake at several points. Great playground with convenient bathrooms nearby that are pretty clean. Havent rented one of the picnic areas yet, but there are several that look out over the lake and are well shaded.
I love this park. It has plenty of picnic tables to have lunch, play games, rest, read a book and enjoy a nice day. All the spots have grills and trashcan. The nice canopy of the trees gives enough cover to the whole perimeter to walk without getting sun burn and having fresh cooler air. This is ideal for summer time, when is hot and the sun is intense. Two full laps around the big walking path and you will have about 1.1 miles 5000 steps. If you walk around the smaller paths, then you will get a few more steps. There are clean bathrooms in two areas. One is closer to the lake next to the event cabin; the other one is next to the kids playground. The park has tennis courts and a small lake beach with chairs. There is fresh water fountains to refill your bottle in all the bathroom areas. The lake views are beautiful, some areas have chairs and swinging chairs to enjoy the view. Away from the lake some parts of the path are quite and relaxing. The area close to the lake is louder and busier. There is plenty of parking spaces, both closer to the bathrooms and water fountains. Many visitors practice fishing on the area close to the lake. I highly recommend this park.
Beautiful park with a tin of activities. Biking, skating, parks, tennis, waterfront, picnic areas, walking tour dog etc. Especially beautiful in the fall.
Great location on Lake Norman and my favorite place to run! It’s beautiful year round with lots of native trees and wildlife. Amazing views of the lake and a nice beach area too. Perfect place for biking, picnics, walking, or running on the loop (a little over a mile), and there’s public tennis courts as well. There’s always lots of friendly people and dogs here. Be on the lookout for copperheads in the summer though, they can blend in on the sides of the trail!
A lovely park to walk the dog, play tennis, hike, have a picnic, or just take in the lake view
Jetton Park is welcoming to all, newborn to seniors. There are many places to sit along the walkways. Easy accessibility for those who need it. They have chairs, benches, tables, and swings. Much of the walkways overlook the water in some way or other. You can see beautiful homes from the shoreline, people on their boats etc. Today, the park had many, many visitors walking around - it was great seeing so many people out today!!Stunning photographs are ready to be taken, particularly at sunrise and sunset. There are bathrooms in a few places within the park, with accessibility to those who need it.You can rent a building for large gatherings. One strange thing Ive never seen before - ever - is in two of the bathrooms on the park site (different areas from each other) had each stall that was not fully closed in. Basically the backs of the stall walls are open to the other stalls. It felt very creepy to me. Why would you not fully close in the stall walls???
My granddaughter loves the water, I love the walk.
I love everything about Jetton Park. I just wish the golf club across from Jetton Park was quiet sometime. Its loud over there every day. I thought a golf course was supposed to be quiet.
Love this park! The loop around the park is over a mile and nicely paved. It’s and a lovely walk under trees. There are enclosed shelters for rent, plenty of picnic areas and lots of activities for kids and adults, including a nice beach on Lake Norman. No swimming allowed.
Nice playground for kids. Some trails. There is a sand beach but ABSOLUTELY NO Swimming allowed....would have been nice to know before people recommended it
Amazing as usual... cooled down after it rained.. not packed full enjoying watching boats out on the lake.. peaceful and relaxing 😁
Good park. Always clean, good amount of hiking trails, lots of shade, and ample parking. Two public bathrooms--always immaculately clean.Playground is big and shaded. A great spot for the kids. Ample amount of tennis courts as well. The biggest downside is the water. There is a beautiful sand beach but swimming is restricted. It makes absolutely zero sense. Why install a large sand beach that doesnt allow you to swim? I dont know why the county restricts swimming but its a perfect location for a much needed beach. Hence the 3 star review.
Jetton Park is an awesome place to take a walk or ride your bike. They have a large playground, nice porch style swings by the lake, and a new Waterfront Hall for events. Even though there is no swimming allowed, there is a beautiful beach area where you can stick your feet in and enjoy the lake views. We highly recommend taking a trip to Jetton Park for a picnic and some fun.
Very relaxing and peaceful place. There were some interesting things here such as 2 memorials that I saw. Its a great place to have a cookout, bicycling, jogging/walking and tennis. This is also pet friendly so I will definitely be taking my dogs here as well. I got to take some great videos and pictures. I would recommend staying out of the water however, no fishing in the water (MAYBE) and I would also recommend not allowing your dog to drink the water as I saw some things that didnt set well with me. Aka dead fish by the bank. Other thank that it was a very clean, tidy and breathtaking place.
I recently visit many parks in NC. This park is the best. Go ahead and take a rest here. You will be in the heaven. I will visit here many times!! All facility are amazing and the water is so clean.
I love this park, the trails are really nice and the view to the lake is beautiful!
I love going to Jetton park and walking the paved trail around the lake. Its a great place to just relax or for running/jogging. There are also trails through the woods, a kiddie playground and tennis courts available. You can also have a picnic or bbq on one of the grills provided in the park. Entry and parking is free.
Love this park. Its scenic and peaceful
We got takeout nearby and were looking for a place to eat outside that wasnt too crowded. We stopped by here and it was the perfect place. We found picnic tables close to the entrance. They were in the woods so it was shaded. They were also all separated and on their own, away from the trails, so there was no risk of being near other people. We didnt have a chance to explore the park any more than the picnic area, but it seems like it would be a nice place. Its right on the water too.If youre looking for a good place to social distance, this park is worth checking out.
Been walking the trails fir last 12 years great park
Beautiful place, plenty of good people and smiling faces)
Wow! Now this is a park that has breath taking views with plenty to do - hiking and bike trails, kayaks, boats, swimming, sightseeing, playground area, tennis courts etc.! Also, there are several picnic tables and benches spread throughout the park along with trees galore that allow for privacy. Beautiful park! Police patrolled for safety.
Love this park so much! The trail is beautiful and the view of lake Norman is so nice.
This is an awesome place to bike, run, play tennis or family picnic. We frequently visit this place as family 👪
Beautiful place. Makes you feel closer to nature. Beach like sand gives you a good holiday vibe 😅
I love this place. It’s quiet and beautiful.
Great park on Lake Norman. Paved hiking trails, picnic areas with grills, tennis courts, gazebos, play grounds and beach areas.
This is a lovely area but I’m confused about the rules. There are many signs that state swimming is prohibited but lots of ppl were doing so and more.
Very relaxing walk path and beautiful lake shores. Plenty of benchs and BBQ lots. Full of greeny tall trees. Full walk path would around 2 miles. Seems swim or bath not allowed.
Im a big walker. So I love to stop by Jetton park. Its trails are great for walking, riding bikes.
Really dope park with lil sand beach
Nice place to bring kids....they can swing, slides etc..
I love the way this park allows you to walk the trails alone, with friends, and even with your dogs. Its full of shade trees and the lake surrounds it. Great place to get some peace
It is quiet and clean. Good trails and bike lane inside the state park which goes in a loop. Good for picnics. On our last visit a gaggle of geese visited and kids fed them. The geese were surprisingly well behaved, I guess they are used to humans feeding them.
Beautiful sunset from the lake area of the park. Benches a plenty for having a snack while the sun goes down. Peaceful, small waves lap beautifully to shore. Quite a relaxing spot!
Very nice place to visit with family, kids fun area, beach places, multiple parking lots....
Love Jetton park. Get there early if you plan on staying the day. Gets a little crowded. Great beach/No swimming. Lots of trails to walk and ride bikes ect.
Never had any issues up to this point bringing my kids here to play at the beach. It’s been a very nice escape. Suddenly, it’s an issue going into the water so everyone just has to sit on the beach. It’s not due to COVID or they would’ve done this a long time ago and there is no limit as to how many people can be on the beach so it can get crowded. The park rangers will yell at you or children if anyone steps foot into the water and just put signs up saying no one is allowed to swim. Ridiculous in my opinion and makes going to this beach very unappealing. We will just have to look elsewhere.
So beautiful specially this time of the year!
Always my favorite park to take my wife and fish.
Incredible park! Walkways and paths were great and the view of the lake was amazing. You have to visit if youre nearby.
Beautiful place, lots of trails, places to sit by water. Beach area
A great place to hang out.
Really good place to hang out. On top that tiny beach is amazing :)
Beautiful day on Lake Norman.
Lovely park for a nice evening walk. Very close to charlotte.
Nice view, good picnic place, but thats about it tbh.
Lovely waterfront park. The paved walking trails were great for my dad. We normally go to Lake Norman state park but he wouldnt have been able to walk on those trails at they are more natural. This was the best of both worlds as the park is beautiful, the paved walkways made it easy for him to get around and there are multiple benches along the way to stop and enjoy the surroundings
Such a peaceful spot.
Clean bathrooms, wide paved walkways, spacious clean picnic areas, and a great lake!
Peaceful lovely cool place with towering trees. Really enjoy strolling.
Beautiful well kept park with beautiful paths, trails, benches, playground, swings and small (no swimming) beach.
Very cool place for a evening walk with family and for Fall Colors
This is one of our favorite parks! Awesome beach, great walking paths, nice playground, and more!
Nice and peaceful place. Trails and playground for children. Nice view and certainly good for picnic.
Beatiful park set on stunning Lake Norman. Many walking trails that are paved. Plenty of picnic tables and grills. Some are decks looking over the lake. Good fishing spot!
Beautiful trails, easy access, perfect place for kids to play in sand. No swimming allowed.
This is a great park! Beautiful views of Lake Norman, lots of walking trails, and a great playground for the kids. Theres also tennis courts and plenty of picnic areas.

Nice place. Playground sandy beach area.
Such a nice peaceful park. Great place to go for walks. Theres a large playground inside and picnic areas throughout.
Jetton is always great for a walk on the awesome walking path....today we brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed the beautiful spring weather.
