Beautiful property. Elena was very friendly, courteous, and very helpful . She made the process from start to finish go smoothly. I had a couple of challenges and she acted on it immediately and the young man who responded was friendly and efficient. So far, the staff and the property gets 5-stars, however the apartment has a few things that still needs attention. Will readdress once everything is fixed.Immediate issues were fixed and in a timely and efficient manner. Korbin was very helpful, friendly, and courteous. He took the time to make sure everything was done and working. He also took the time to explain what was wrong and what he did to fix it.
These guys are awesome and do they service always in time. Managers are also great! Lena is the Best and very helpful. You can’t find better place in Cornelius/Charlotte with so many good amenities, park and restaurants + your have a lake almost from your balcony. I like it already for 2 years. Thanks to all of you.
Maint. Request posted around 12pm to seal a sink overflow and a water line cover for the toilet. The team had resolved my issues at 3:15pm and when I arrived home at 6 everything was dry and in great shape!
Jeff is great! He came and fixed everything that I needed fixed quickly and even called before to make sure I knew he was coming. Professional and kind! Did a great job as always
Life on the lake. Thanks everyoneCandace and staff.Maintenance prompt.
For the most part Ive enjoyed it here. However, there is no lake access for anyone that doesnt purchas a boatslip. The buildings and sidewalk need a bit of TLC. Although the trees and lawn are decently taken care of.
The maintenance crew here at Sailpointe always responds quickly to whatever issues that I have needed help with.
Everything is beautiful here and so convenient!! All the staff is so friendly and quick to respond to anything you need! The lake is beautiful and I love how you have access to your own little fishing pier!
Thank you for taking care of the items I listed on my apartment survey when I moved in. I appreciate the team that showed up. **Sometimes, the solution is so easy, just takes an expert to show it.** Thanks
This place is a great place to live! The amenities are nice, there is a great view, and you are getting a lot of space with the amount of rent you pay. It is well worth it. It is also a safe neighborhood and the people are nice.
RENTER BEWARE. My girlfriend and I lived here for over a year and I highly recommend looking elsewhere. The quality of the apartments is superficial and do not hold up well. Just over one year there have been countless times we have had to get repairs. The paint peels, windows leak, tons of bugs in the apartment, and multiple times we have had water come through the flooring. Now when we first moved in they gave us the wrong address so all of our utilities were incorrect and we had to pay more due to their incompetence. Second, it took me going into the office 5x over 3 months to finally get a mail key that actually fit our mailbox. They give you the runaround whenever there are any issues and there are a ton of small charges monthly that they did not disclose when we signed the lease. Lastly, during the midst of the COVID pandemic they charged two healthcare workers an extra 2 weeks of rent because they claimed they never received my first email. Only good experience was Candace was very helpful.Long story short...there are a lot of better places to live by the lake for this price. I do not recommend it to anyone.
The service was fast and professional. Although, they had come back to fix a trouble spot. And now my problem has been resolved. They cleaned up after themselves and did a job
Brief comment. The Office Management Staffare wonderful and make efforts.I think understaffed based on property size.Maintaince has some individuals tops !Others, frankly clueless.General concensus among Neighbors surroundingme. Sailpointe, with great Staff, cannot supportservices, amenities, pool and gym....plus somegrounds areas, equal to the monthly rental fees. One entity responsible Higheark Ownership. Ah, skinning the Cat....
Thank you for doing a great jon
The staff is very friendly and quick to get back to me when I call on them for a problem or a question.
The team that runs this place are great!
January 2021 they have now decided to not fix leaks in plumbing that are causing mold issues. They delete maintenance request without completion. And yes the gutters do not work after 17 months of requests.Every time it rains you cant use your balcony. In fact the wood is rotten and the management company refuses to do fix the problem. I have requested 9 (nine) times from local to regional office and nothing. I have shared this video with the onsite staff and notice the pumpkins in the video, yes this has been going on since October 2019.Update: They still dont do anything about the gutters. Now August 2020 they removed the rotten wood that but still the balcony is NOT usable with any amount of rain!
I understand that the office has to be shut down due to coronavirus, but if over the phone and email is all that’s available to residents/previous residents with important questions, it would be much appreciated if phone calls could be picked up and emails could be answered. i don’t understand why it’s so hard to get in touch with someone during office hours that go until 6 pm.
Service experience was at least a 5 star Ryan showed up diagnosed the problem got the parts and fixed it!!!!!Thanks Ryan
Very on top off things thank you
We have been living here for years. Perfect location for us. Easily accessible to living a life style in Lake Norman! Friendly neighbors. Great pool overlooking Lake Norman! Something for everyone! Maintenance is always courteous, professional, knowledgeable and helpful! TY!
My husband and I live in one of the units that overlooks the water. The view is amazing! We also love the location with being so close to highway 77. My husband can jump on the highway in the morning and be down in Charlotte in 20 minutes.
If I could give a zero, I would. I lived at this place for less than 3 mos. they made promises before I moved in that they then said they couldn’t do. I then reached out to everyone in their chain of leadership (up to corporate) multiples times and was either ignored or lied to again (I have the emails to prove it). So I decided to move. I travel a lot for work and I needed to come home to a place that felt like a home and community. This place was definitely not it because of the staff and complete disregard of their tenants. I turned in my notice to vacate with forwarding address. Talked with the manager several times about when I would know how much I need to pay to move out, I was told that they would email me and mail me the amount owed after everything was processed. Well, I don’t know about you but I am not going to beg and plead a place I am unhappy with to get me this information. Now 1.5 years later (and I have NEVER been contacted in this time) a charge shows up on my credit report for over $4000. I have the emails and certified letters to prove that I continued to reach out for 3 months after I moved out to get this paid. Talk about bad business. I am now trying to move and can’t because of this. Seriously did not show up on my credit report until 2 weeks ago. I have since reached out again and asked to speak to leadership who have not contacted me back in over 48hrs. So my suggestion is to avoid this place like the plague.
Counting down the weeks until my lease is up. The new owners are making a lot of upgrades - their words, not mine - and raising the already overpriced rent. Everything Ive seen has been a downgrade in my opinion. The workmanship is very poor quality and the materials are cheap, like spray-painted frames around the bathroom mirrors. All of the units have had carpet, I think since they were built, but they are now getting wood floors. We never used to hear the upstairs neighbors, now its nonstop elephants above our heads with rattling light fixtures and all. My serenity has gone to hell. Communication from management is poor at best. We recently (Dec. 6) got our water/garbage/pest control bill for the period of June 25 to Nov. 1. Who does that?!? Everyone who moved out in the past few months didnt have to pay these expenses, but the rest of us do? And trust me, people are moving out in record numbers. Ill be moving to a nearby complex where 3 bedrooms are $500 less!
**Resolved with staff shortly after this review. Breach of contract charge was eliminated and extra rent fees corrected. Updated to 3 stars for location, apartments are in great condition and amenities are awesome.4 stars if youre looking for a long term space.5 stars if you have a boat/kayak/aggressive breed dog.**Great apartments in an awesome location. Staff is very helpful unless you need to break a lease.I renewed my lease last month (3/19) for a year (5/19 - 5/20), but within a couple weeks learned that Id need to move to Connecticut for work. The fee to get out of the new contract, (even though my lease wasnt actually renewing for another month) was 2 months rent and a $1500 breach of contract charge.Note, Im moving out before my current lease even ends (4/1/19) With that, I still have to pay the cable, amenities, trash valet and pet rent for those two months even though Im no where near the property and have turned my keys in. This is about $400 in services that I wont be using. In short, it costs about $4000 to get out of a lease early. Not the place for you if you may need to terminate a lease or are someone who moves around in their career (which is most people in apartments nowadays).
First of all they deleted my review from their actual website. The apartment was of poor quality. No hardwood floors, all the furnishings were not functioning upon move in.Entire apartment smelt like marijuana.Only good news was they were quick to fix what was broken. After move out, I provided my forwarding address twice through written format and once verbally. Despite this, they never sent me my final billing statement or my deposit refund. What they did do however was submit my final nonpayment (which I never received a billing statement for and my online portal was deactivated upon submitting my notice so I don’t even know where I could submit a check) over to collections. This is a poorly run apartment charging “luxury” prices for quality that’s slightly above public housing.
Excellent service! Very satisfied!
Why is the pool not working? in all neighboring apartments is already working, why everything is closed here. we pay the rent in full. and you must also provide all services to us for tenants .
If noise from your neighbors bothers you, this is a bad place for you. Yesterday evening, one neighbor has a dog that howled all night, and the other neighbor played a playlist of 4 or 5 songs over and over again with the bass turned up so high that the light fixtures rattled. After 4 hours i finally left and stayed at a motel. It is a nice location, but the rent goes up every year. Last year the management lost the lease and tried to bill the month to month rent. Keep a copy of your lease and your renters insurance. There is also a real problem with these people returning emails and phone calls. In my unedited review i mentioned that in their response to my original review they requested that i call and set up appointment to talk about my concerns. I did. They have never responded to my phone call, or email.
Weve been living here only a few weeks, but I can only say positive things about Sailpointe. The staff have been phenomenal and went above and beyond for us throughout our entire move in process (thank you Samantha!) Sailpointe is a BEAUTIFUL place to live. The views are unbelievable. There are a lot of great amenities as well (pool, gym, tennis courts, volleyball courts, DOG PARK) Theres a strong sense of community here as well. We moved from Texas, knowing almost no one here in North Carolina and weve been welcomed by all of our neighbors in the building. I am very happy we decided to live at Sailpointe :)
Very Fast! Outstanding Work!
I moved here from out of state. Working with the office staff was great. They made the long move easy and stress free. We love it here and the office and crew are always friendly and helpful.
Love this community. Have been renting here for 6 months and have had no problems. I highly recommend it. Staff is helpful and friendly!
Someone showed up a few minutes after requesting the service and the problem was solved right away.
Overall not too bad, absolutely overpriced though. It provides a good atmosphere and relatively peaceful living. But for the money, you can do better. Robbins just bought the property and they seem to at least be trying to Make things better
I have lived in this lovely community for over a year and find it very tranquil as long as a lot of patrons do not come to the restaurant next door to the property. Any problems I have had (and I havent had many) were resolved quickly and efficiently. I enjoy living at Marina Shores.
Beautiful view, friendly people, when something needs fixed there fix it right away
Im only giving a 3 star review due to the location of the property. Lake Normal is in the back yard and within walking distance even from the farthest properties. However after looking into the many similar lawsuits regarding the rental agreement, I dont have a good thing to say about the management and corporation. like many large companies they will bend the Rules, your civil rights, and freedoms to fatten their pockets. I wouldnt recommend this Property to anybody moving into the area, many of my clients are still in the process of prosecuting for illegal entry, missing property claimed by the staff and heinous racial remarks.
The apartments are pretty nice and the people who work here were really nice. The worst part about it was it seemed that my rent would go up every time it was time for our lease to be renewed. I had a friend who lived in a 2BR whos rent was cheaper than mine and I lived in a 1BR (I wasnt near the water either.) I would still recommend this place to live at as there is nice water access and you live right in the middle of a lot of restaurants.
Very friendly staff with a location that can’t be beat. Updated apartments with upgrades currently taking place, and a nice set of amenities. Great place to live for lake lovers!
Candace was professional & thorough.
WOW! I just went through and read some of these reviews. I have lived here for three months and its the other tenants that make the neighborhood go south. There is large diversity of tenants from tidy, clean, quiet, and respectful to others; to trashy, loud, door slamming, stair stomping, noise making, yapping dogs, to dog poo in the grass. The staff is great and always there to help. My kitchen faucet stopped working, boom - next day had a new faucet. Doing laundry was a little pain, called and asked if I could get a washer & dryer in my apt, boom - brand new washer and dryer delivered the next day. You can pay your rent and request maintenance online. The view of the lake and marina wraps around half of the property from 90% of the east-side to all the north side of the property. I think it includes at least six to seven, maybe eight buildings that face the water. So I dont know what that girl is speaking of only one building. The value is great for what I pay for and the location to everything needed and more is in walking distance. Besides those tenants that dont understand community living etiquette and the traffic to travel north and south toCharlotte and back; I am very happy there.
Young man was very nice and fixed my problem
Beautiful place, views etc. apartments are very nice and they continue to make improvements and updates. Amenities are wonderful and price is reasonable. I love it here. Only negative thing is front office staff is horrible. Never answer calls, voicemails, emails, messages etc. ONLY one who truly cares and helps is Madison Abrahms up front.
Nice lake community. Very warm and welcoming customer service
I gave this a 3 b/c I called it home at one time, I love the lay out & the grounds! I dont like the paint colors they chose for the buildings, the staff could definetly use a course in humbleness, friendlyness, customer service, & I hate the fact that now theyre just letting in anyone just to get there ratings up.
Thx
DONT RENT FROM THEM. Save your money and your time. The staff is horrible. I called to find out what my prorated rent amount would be and they said that they would call me right back. They never called me back then said that they will evict me if not paid within 2 days. If I had known what it was I would have paid it right away. The person on the phone hung up on me and blamed me for not following up on the phone call even though they said they would call me back k with the amount. The staff are not nice on the phone and fake to your face. The place is bug infested and they say that pest control is in your rent but they never spray. The walls are thin and you can hear everything you neighbors do and I mean everything. I am so glad I am done with these people!!!
A major change in the last 6 months for the better! Appliance, kitchen, and bathroom renovations. Management has done an exceptional job cleaning up the property both in terms of appearance and the residential community. Rhonda, Shayna, and Alexus have done a great job! Special mention and kudos concerning Alexus who is absolutely amazing! Even when she is multi-tasking and super busy she will make you feel like a VIP and always has a friendly warm smile and is kind to everyone. She consistently follows up on customer requests and runs the office like a veteran.
I love living here . Good neighbors and caring too. Maintenance team is so trustworthy . Staff is helpful and friendly.
The staff is always quick to respond, and always friendly! The location is absolutely the best!
Calls too many times, I explained during the tour that I needed time to think about my options and I wasnt sure yet. I am not even sure I want to live there: apts were on the lake a beautiful view but outdated items to the apts. You definitely pay for the view. I have already received three calls today. Just let me think about it!!!!
Over all not worth the price. I pay close to 1000 for a 1 bed room, I was convinced I was upgrading from my previous living environment. 90% of the time something is wrong with either your place or the so called upgrades they have done. The pool is closed every other week during the summer. Bugs are very bad inside my place, which they claim to provide a pest service, that they charge for by the way. I have yet to see or hear of anyone do do so. The staff is not friendly, and trys to blame you for the mistakes they make. The area is awesome, but Im sure I could pay what I pay here somewhere a lot more kept up. I feel as if my apartment is falling apart weekly. My shower head shot off one week, my water sprinklers leak daily. The dryer and washer have both broke down, and the ac goes out. For as much as I pay I would for sure look somewhere else, knowing what I know and have experienced. I have had problems from literally day one. I viewed the buildings and choose the apartment I wanted even payed and signed papers. Then on the very day I come to move in they had the wrong apartment in my name. Luckily the one I wanted was still available, but they told me to please be patient while they looked to see if it was. I really wouldnt recommend this place, Ive been here for 9 months and have look forward to my year lease being over since month 2. Give your money to a place that appreciates it.
This place is a joke. It may seem nice at first but it quickly goes downhill. The crime rate has went up. We were told not to walk alone and there was break ins into cars and apartments. They dont push the apartment rules at all. Most of the workers in the leasing office are rude as well.We notice more people leaving then staying here. Theres only a handful of people here that were here when we first moved in.The prices are NOT worth living here. Its very over priced for what you get.
Clean, well kept, friendly residents, excellent office assistance.
Great place to live. Highly recommend it!
Overall, the living experience was average.--Pros--By the lake, near great food and markets, office staff is generally very friendly and thoughtful. I had lots of packages delivered, and they took good care of them for me.--Cons--The walls are thin, so you have to run A/C or heat regularly and you can hear your neighbors often. Everyone has a dog and hardly cleans up, so the grass is almost exclusively a dont walk in it most of the time. The office rarely enforces any dog waste pickup, but is always up for charging you a fee when they can. When I left, I cleaned the place backwards and forwards, and even spackled the wall holes from hanging photos, tvs, etc. They still found a way to charge me pet cleanup fees atop the pet deposit and monthly pet fee I already paid them. The security deposit you pay doesnt count for anything, its basically a doc ie free money fee. They raised my rates exorbitantly for no clear reason when renewal time came, and offered little in the way of help for being a good tenant. The staff couldnt reliably tell me if my payments would stop after my lease ended (as if I had to go the extra mile to keep them from continuing to take my money).Overall, Im very sour about my experience there. If the property manager was focused more on providing a good and recommendable experience to their tenants instead of squeezing every dollar they can out of them, Id be more likely to recommend this place. Its probably not meant in harm, but Ill be darned if I didnt feel like just another useless renter with open pockets to the property manager. As of now though, I cannot well recommend it. Try One Norman Square across the street for better prices and accommodation, at a lower price at that.
Dont. Just dont. Save yourself a lot of frustration and lost $$. Since Sailpointe took over, it has been one of the most horrific living experiences. The staff (mostly Rhonda) is incredibly rude - and not just slightly. I could tell you story after story about their poor communication and project management (we never really know when theyre coming into our homes), poor office management resulting in lost and returned packages (including a birthday present from my best friend); and LOTS more. They have pushed the legal boundary of Right to Quiet Enjoyment, with the renovations theyve been doing while were still living in the units; pushing us out for multiple days with no consideration or discount on rent, etc. I would have given it more stars just for location, but you dont actually have access to the water unless you pay for a boat slip. There are many other rental options that get you to the lake. Save yourself from this one.
I wish I could leave a negative star review. I lived at sailpointe Apartments in Cornelius, nc. When I moved in had to spend hours cleaning because the place was nasty. The carpet had spots and all seams were visible. Dealing with the office staff was horrible as you never would receive the same story twice. They would lie blantly to your face because they could not fermenter what story they told either you or your neighbor. Packages that were left at the office that were signed by staff would magically appear months later after starting an investigation process with the shooter and carrier. The utilities they charge for cannot be verified with a meter read nor a service.More issues... issue is my car was broken into twice while parked in front of my unit.Personal items that were left outside my front door were thrown away by staff without a warning or notice.Police regularly either had to be called in neighbors or were having to serve warrants to other tenants on a regular basisLong story short this property should be listed as a slum, run by crooks and liars, and should be avoided at all costs. The rent amount they give that will be your monthly amount is totally fiction.
From poor management to cheap workmanship I would advise you save your money and future frustrations.First - Management is horrible. We had the unfortunate event that a noisy/inconsiderate neighbor moved in above us 1 month into our lease. When we went to management about our frustration with our new upstairs neighbor I was told that it was a he-said she-said situation and that there was nothing they could do for us because my neighbor said they were just living and not purposefully being loud. I asked if we could move apartments but was told well then if someone else moves into that apartment we will still have the same problem hmmm for who? You? I am asking that you respect the fact we are paying over $1.2k a month and would like to enjoy where we live. I was told that if I can get them on recording or video that it could prove theyre loud or I could have management over to my apartment to hear their noisiness. After I provided recordings I was again told there is nothing they can do for me but if I wanted to get a police report than I could move apartments. So theyre saying I need to waste an officers time for a noise complaint? The cherry on top was when I didnt renew my lease they THEN offered to move me apartments. Seriously? After MONTHS of complaints falling on deaf ears we are now offered exactly what we have been begging for?Second- When my neighbors flooded their bathroom maintenance came into my apartment and spray painted over the water stain on my ceiling. Who knows what lurks beneath the paint!Third- Grounds are not kept well. The pool area is covered with debris making it less appealing than their online photos. When there is a storm and leaves/branches fall they arent cleaned up. Landscapers mow the lawn then use a leaf blower to blow grass onto sidewalk right past your car!Fourth- When we moved in we gave a list to maintenance of things we needed fixed. One was our laundry door which we were told to deal with. Our bathroom was filthy and obviously not cleaned up after previous tenant. SO GROSS!!!DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE. Go down the street where the apartments are A) more affordable B) have better management and C) actually worth your hard earned money. D) more spacious because the kitchens are made for ants. The fact that management feels the need to comment back on all their reviews should be a reviewees first red flag. The only thing this place with leave you with is REGRET!!!
This community is into a great location on the lake Norman and I like the fact that in just a minute I can reach the lake. I like also is tranquillity, the cats and the squirrels in the garden and the many birds on the trees. I like the friendly environment and I feel safe inside and outside my apartment.I like the jim and the yoga room with the 2 spinning bikes. I like the fact that there are several bbq in the garden. I like the fact that the location is very close to shops and markets. You don’t need a car to live here, by foot you can go everywhere, thanks also the near bus station.Unfortunately there are also some negative things. The recycling area looks like a open dump; it’s not easy understand where to put glass, plastic, paper and cans…and people mix everything…It make no sense do recycling in this way.I have a lot of gnats in my apartment…and I found some bugs in the kitchen….There are some holes in the wall and probably come from there. The kitchen furniture is old and they also do not smell good…although we always leave the windows open, the things have not changed and its been almost three months we live here.Conditioners places right outside the bedroom are very noisy and we find very hard to sleep and during the day they disturb the quiet. We can not use our patio as we would like because people above us use to smoke outside and sometimes falls ash…other time they throw water that bathes us regularly.Last but not less important, we did not appreciate the change of management and property without receiving any notice. It was hard to figure out how to pay the rent for example. Why the old and the new management didn’t send an e-mail or a letter to any tenant? Many people are out for business and it’s shocking arrive at home and discover that you live in Sailpoint and not more in Marinashore.
Very nice, management was terrific, very helpful and knowledgeable.
Have come to know the property manager and office staff are a bunch of liars. Be very careful in dealing with these people. They are un-informed and could care less about their tennants. Id give them 0 stars but this site would not let me.Renters Beware!!!These guys have rated thier own apartments with 5 stars to counter act all of the bad comments they have received. This place IS a joke!
Didnt actually do anything here but it seemed ok
I like everything here
Top notch. Professional.
Great community with excellent service
30% rent increase to renew my lease for another year. Seems legit.
Disappointed with how these places looked. Old and run down. Outdated. They need some fixing up.
Nice place
Move here :)
