These people are in business to make money, not TAKE your money. Honest work done at fair prices. After a failed safety inspection at a Mazda dealership, with a bogus list of $2500+ worth of things to repair on my van, Al replaced the worn front end parts for $279, and passed my van for inspection. I asked for my fuel filter to be replaced, if needed. Instead, AL advised me how to start my van by priming the fuel pump first. They have drop boxes to use when you drop off, or pick up, your vehicle after hours and take credit card payment by phone. If you are busy and need an honest mechanic, I recommend Al.

Have has recent issues with our vehicle. My husband read reviews about Als and this business certainly lived up to the reviews! Al called my husband to discuss the issues and even told him it was an repair that wasnt maditory to have done that day but needed to be considered for the near future....who says that??!! So appreciate the way Al handled the call. Decided to have the repairs done right then as were a 2 car family and borrowing a car is inconvenient. I brought my car to Al’s because of an intermittent problem of the car not starting. I would turn the key to start, but the engine wouldn’t turn over. It only happened a few times a week. Al couldn’t duplicate the issue, but he checked things out and determined the battery wasn’t delivering enough amperage, so he installed a new battery. It’s now been two weeks with the new battery and problem hasn’t occurred. He fixed the problem. The overall service experience was excellent… prompt, competent and honest.

My daughter brought her car for maintenance. It needed quite a bit of work. An oil change, inspection, brakes, roters, transmission fluid the car shook when she drove it and shook worse when she used her brakes. Als did very good work on her car and was great with the price. Friendly quick service. They did a last minute tire repair for us, no appointment. First time visitor. Will definitely go back. Most major service(suspension, timing belts, etc) is scheduled a week or 2 out. The good news is that it’s YOUR appointment for work to be done, not just an appointment with a service advisor. The service was so good I just had to do it!!Went to Als Auto Repair yesterday for just a simple oil change and tire rotation and I have to say he and the service I received was AMAZING! Als is a great place. One of the things that makes it good is his guys are on salary, not commission. This means there isnt pressure to sell you something you dont need. Heres an example. My daughter was told by another shop (not here in Charlotte) that she needed a new timing belt. She had a bid but I told here to bring the car here and let Al take a look at it. He had already told me over the phone that it would probably cost less. Well when they got a chance to look at the car I got a phone call from Al. He informed me that the timing belt was fine and it looked l like it had actually been replaced a couple years before (actually at the same place that was trying to sell her again!)

Staff was nice. Took car there and was quoted over $1,000 work on an older car saying it needed the whole front end rebuilt and to just sell it and buy a new car. They were intimidated by the amount of rust, being a Michigan car. Took the car to another shop for a second opinion and all it needed was rotors.

Im from Atlanta,and broke down on a Sunday night near Statesville. I have a cousin and aunt in Davidson so I limped down there. They both swore by their mechanic Al, so we called first thing Monday. He was booked solid but gave me great advice over the phone, and since the car wouldnt make it home I decided to leave it with Al and make my way home on the bus. Just before I boarded, I talked to Al and he had done some research and investigating and thought that there may be another solution.Long story short, I was on the road less than three hours after I brought the car in, Al charged a discounted diagnostic because he wasnt positive it was the right solution, and I couldnt be more impressed with Al and his team.
