Our old heat pump with electric backup was on its last legs and we knew we had to replace the unit and air handler soon. We had three local companies come out and quote complete replacement of system and ducting (27 years old) as well as upgrading the heating portion to Gas. Jeff was very through in measuring the old system and crawl space to determine what space was needed as well as taking into consideration the exhaust of the gas furnace. The Carrier system quoted has outstanding reliability and efficiency and their price was competitive to other manufacturers so we went with Allied Aire based on their reputation in our area.Mitch and Tony came in and performed the demo of the old system and ducting and installed the new unit, ducting and exhaust lines right on schedule!The Humidity Control feature in the new controls makes the house very comfortable without the system running at full power and freezing us out!I would highly recommend their products and service!!

Have had experience with Allied Aire at my parents house. Always on time and professional. I had Jeff come out to the house a few weeks ago to give me a quote on a new system. He gave me 4 options to choose from depending on how many buttons and whistles I wanted on the new system. I made my decision within a few days and called Jeff to schedule and installation of the new system. They arrived on time and went to work ASAP on the install. Jon spent 10 minutes or so showing me how to use the digital thermostat which helped a lot. Again, very pleased with their work and professionalism. Tech spent 15 mins on the phone with someone else trying to figure out what was wrong with our unit. He then diagnosed that we needed a new bored which after getting a second opinion they said the unit wouldn’t turn back on if you need a new board. The tech also charged us for a full rewire which he did not do. We have cameras on our property and he never did a rewrite. I’ve reached out to customer service regarding being charged for the full rewire that they did not perform and we have not gotten a response. I used them because they were Carrier Certified. Tech did not know how to fix our system.

I would like to say thank you to Jeff, Mitch and Robbie for the amazing job they did for us. Our dual zone A/C went down on lower level. They were called and came next day. They got it running & ordered parts but went down that night. They came back today with a few parts missing to work. They were in our hot (>100) attic from 1:30 pm - almost 7:30 pm. Mitch got overheated and sick and Robbie relieved him. Jeff never left until he had us up and running. It was 89 and now a cool 78. We cannot thank them and their dedication enough.

During our maintenance service we learned that our 11 year old system had some freon leaks and decided to get quotes on a new system. The owner came out and walked through all of the options and answered all of our questions. He topped off the freon in our existing system to tie us over until the new system could be installed about three weeks later. The actual installation of the new system and replacement of the zoning system took a day and a half. Tony and Mitch provided the service of the installation. They were both professional and guided us through the use of the new system including the thermostats. They also answered all questions that we had. They showed up on time and completed the job on time as promised. I would highly recommend these two gentlemen as well as the company for your air conditioning and heating needs. A job well done!

I chose Allied Aire because I was looking for a local company with good reviews and it was the right choice. My thermostat had stopped working and I thought it was a electrical issue but the technician was quickly able to diagnose that the condensation pump had quit working and needed to be replaced. He showed me pictures on his phone that he had taken of the pump when he was in the crawl space and explained how it worked. He had us fixed up and back in service quickly and I thought the price was fair for his expertise and labor.

After getting a frustratingly expensive quote from Morris Jenkins to replace our furnace and air conditioner Jeff and Allied Aire were able to install better equipment for more than $4,000 less. Tony and Mitch did a great job installing the equipment and carefully dismantled/reassembled our crawl space door so that I didn’t have to call another contractor to fix it for us. They also had a quick lead time and were able to get it in before a couple recent cold nights hit.

Allied Aire was one of 3 companies that we looked at when choosing to replace one of our 21 year old AC units. I thought Jeff was incredibly thorough when looking at our system asking the right questions, and deciding what size unit we would need, rather than just assuming the one that was initially installed was the right size. Our upstairs AC broke down right before a heat wave. We received quotes from 3 local vendors and selected Allied Aire. The President, Jeff Shue, came out and went though the whole system. I was very impressed with his professional demeanor and his knowledge of the systems. He gave us a comparative quote for options that seemed to be the best value among the three vendors. In the interim, Jeff came out and recharged our old system with a little Freon to hold us over. Jennifer in the office was great. She kept in constant contact. When all the components were ready Tony and Mitch spent the day in our 136 degree attic installing the new units and Jeff came to help. They set up the new Smart thermostat and the temperature went from 86 to 70 that night. It was wonderful. Thank you Allied Aire for an amazing job. I found this company online. Lance R. Just left after cleaning my dryer hose and vent. It is 6:45pm- never a comment about the time from him. What a pleasant, professional young man! Ive lived in my home almost 12 years and tried to clear the vent hose myself. Obviously, not successfully. Plus it is hard to move front load washers on a pedestal.. Noticing that clothes were taking longer to dry I was concerned about fire hazard. The amount of lint he cleared amazed me. Dont delay! This may not be their main service focus, but is an essential one none the less. 10 stars for Lance, Allied and the service I received!! ***********. Lance, the technician, was great. He was extremely thorough, gave honest advice, and didn’t rush anything.Why the two stars then? Price gouging. I called 4-5 A/C companies stating I know I have a refrigerant leak and only need a fill up. Allied was the only place that would not tell me what the cost would be for the refrigerant. Everyone else said between $75-$120/lb. Based upon Allied’s reviews, I went with them assuming they would be in that range also. Granted, the call was after hours which they charged an additional $30 for the service call; I was fine with that. The sticker shock was the $195/lb refrigerant cost that was not told to me until I got the invoice. A simple refrigerant service for 2 lbs was $531!Called and spoke with the Office Manager, Jeff, who agreed the cost should have been communicated, and he would see what he could do to help me with this outrageously high invoice. Haven’t heard from him, and he hasn’t returned my calls.Buyer beware - get full costing upfront.

Ive had these guys install and repair several systems at a couple of different properties. The owner seems to be a nice guy and they do decent work, but theyre also very proud of that work. If I would have done more homework, I would have realized that. I just had them diagnose and replace a circuit board on a furnace. It cost me roughly $1200 to end up replacing a part that can be readily purchased anywhere online for $130. I get that it takes time and labor to diagnose and replace the part, but I could hire the best attorneys in the city at a lower billing rate than what they charged me for a HVAC technician.

Awesome service! I scheduled preventative maintenance service on my 4 year old system. Lance took his time explaining an issue with our system setup that could result in serious water damage if not addressed. I also indicated cooling and heating balancing issues we have and Lance made sure he did everything he could to resolve that. I appreciate the fast, friendly service and his attention to detail. Jeff was punctual, did a thorough test of the system, and got it back up and running in under an hour. The problem was a capacitor replacement, which is a common issue. This is the third place Ive lived where Ive had to pay for a replacement, figured it was the issue before I even made the call, and unfortunately could only get Allied to come out on such short notice. In terms of service and responsiveness I think they did well.The major downside was the cost, hence the docked star. For a weekend service, I was charged 116 upfront for them to come out to the house, plus another 417 to do the replacement. Jeffs explanation was the service costing more over the weekend, although that should have been communicated when I asked what the emergency/weekend fee was when scheduling, which was claimed to be 116. In other words, a capacitor replacement (of a $20-40 part depending on brand) is marked up to 389. This is more expensive than any other HVAC company Ive used. Their fee for routine maintenance which they offered was around 350 /year. I paid $80 from a reputable, smaller company when living in Winston-Salem.I guess the upside is they replaced two capacitors hooked in a series with a single, correct dual run unit. I got the info off the spec sticker and ordered $20 replacements online in case the issue pops up again. If you need Allied for emergency service its probably worth the cost to get an immediate turnaround. If you can wait a few days though, Id definitely shop around for a better price.

Fantastic service. BJ was my serviceman. He was punctual and friendly. Performed great service and got my AC up and running in no time. I highly recommend Allied Aire for your heating and cooling needs.

Hello again. I just I wanted to give Allied Aire another outstanding review. The last one was mostly about the customer service and all the wonderful people that was involved with it. This one is about the installation, Tim and Vinny, did the installation, BJ had helped out as well, and Bill came by to see how things were going. It’s amazing to me how punctual and professional this company has been all along, and they cleaned everything up very nicely before they left! The team was very responsive and worked creatively to resolve duct, power, and gas supply line issues. I wouldnt go anywhere else for maintenance or purchase!

Everyone is so wonderful at Allied Air! I really appreciate the 24 hour service, Thats how I became a customer, when I needed someone in a pinch over a weekend, without being a customer they showed up that night and repaired my unit.

I cannot say enough nice things about everyone at Allied Aire! I called them after having a situation with not just one but two other companies. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The technician explained everything to me, showed me what he was seeing as well as took pictures, they provided quotes and offered to do whatever I decided on. Jeff from Allied came out on a Sunday evening and spent 3 hours looking for several gas leaks. He was Professional and went way above and beyond the call of duty. I would highly recommend Allied Aire.
