Thank goodness I found HPC. Dr. Andrea Echeverry is an amazing doctor and scientist. Ive had an embarrassing scar in the back of my head that has always been covered up by hair. But as I started to loose my hair on top I wanted to shave closer. I didnt think it was possible until I found HPC. I did my research and called the Dr. I sent her a picture and she quickly evaluated my situation, gave me a price and had me come in for a consultation. This was life changing. Why? because not only did she address my scar, but she gave me an education on hair, skin and diet and how they all work together. This was enlightening to me since I thought I was doing the right thing. It has been an amazing experience on the knowledge she shares and the care and attention she gives each patient. I can only give her 5 stars because that is as high as it goes but I would give her 10 stars for the type of Dr. she is. Now, I had thought I tried everything besides a hair transplant. I was unsure of scalp pigmentation and how it would turn out, but I had a co-worker that recommended me to this place. I began losing my hair early--in my twenties. As that I did not want to be bald, I researched and tried all sorts of different methods (looking back seems crazy)- topical solutions, tablets even vitamins. A hair stylist friend introduced me to the Hair Pigment Center. They used an innovative method for hair replacement, using scalp pigmentation, that produces incredible results. Everything went great from the moment I stepped in their office, the staff was very nice and accomodating. The Doctor was very helpful in going thru all details and made me feel comfortable about the procedure. This was a big plus, seeing that procedures like this could be anxiety ridden in general. I began struggling with hair loss since my late 30’s and considered transplants several times over the years but never acted upon it.When I first learned about this procedure called scalp micropigmentation I consulted several practitioners both in NY and Florida. Right from the beginning I was most impressed with Dr Echeverry. Her presentation was by far the most professional, comprehensive, and realistic. She displayed a vast knowledge of how the condition of the skin could impact the overall success of the treatment as well as the time frame for completion. She explained that because of my age (I’m 68), the dryness of my scalp, and the sun damage I had incurred over the years, the treatment might not be as effective. She suggested various vitamins and moisturizers to restore my scalp to a more healthy condition.Other practitioners assured me that it could be accomplished in one or two sessions. This was not the case. Dr E gave me 5 treatments spaced so that the skin had time to heal. Adding to her expertise was her demeanor. She was always pleasant and warm and thus made for a more pleasurable overall experience.
