PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! I went in for dry scalp & he insisted that I was going to go bald & that my chief complaint was hair loss? I didn’t think so but I reluctantly agreed to start to take rogain like he instructed .. FAST FORWARD 3 weeks later I began to lose CHUNKS of hair!!! I am a model in my early 30’s!! Why get me to start a chemical that’ll make me shed almost all my hair? To be dependent on it for the rest of my life? Now I’m waiting to see if my hair will grow back! If it doesn’t, he got what he wanted - PERMANENT HAIR LOSS $$$$$WAIT it gets better: For my dry scalp which I found out was dermatitis he sent me Fluocinolone Oil which is EAR DROPS used to treat eczema of the OUTER EAR!!!!!!!Note to office: PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME I AM NOT INTERESTED IN EVER BEING UNDER DR DON SHALUBS CARE EVER AGAIN!!! With the ear oil my dermatitis got worst & some nights I couldn’t even sleep of the irritation & itch. Let him know that if anyone ever comes in his office with sebhorrric dermatitis/dermatitis CHLOBESTOL cream 2 times a day REMOVES IT! Thank God I got another opinion.

My first time experience with Dr. Crowell and her staff exceeded my expectations. From professional and courteous to efficient. They made me feel very comfortable. I definitely will refer their services to family and friends in need of a dermatologist. Great job guys.

Dr. Crowell is wonderful.A few years ago, she removed a cyst on my right eyebrow, & the scar is barely noticeable! Staff are welcoming & wait time is not long at all. Now both of my children will be seeing her & I’m sure they too will have their skin issues dealt with a positive outcome….

Wow what an experience. Yesterday I had my first visit and I have to say that everyone from the receptionist the Doctor his assistant and even the lady in charge of billing were extremely nice. I had no wait time as soon as I had filled out the paper work I was let in and immediately looked at.I was there for an infected cyst on my back which was very painful and they took care of it.everyone took there time with me set me up with my prescriptions and I was in and out within an hour.The office and patient room were very clean.I also liked the appointment reminders and the fact that they answer the phones every time . Bottom line a very affordable and professional business I highly recommend.

Dr. Shalhub is the best! Thorough because he listens to patients. Its not five minutes. He ask questions and makes me feel comfortable and explains what he is gonna do and upcoming needs. Feel like he is not only a doctor but a friend. That is how relaxing and comfortable he makes you feel while giving superior care. From the greeting and care at front desk to all members of practice. He is knowledgeable and caring.

I saw Dr. Crowell. The staff was very nice and welcoming. (I had read online many bad reviews about the staff but I found both staff members to be very friendly.) Dr. Crowell was attentive and dedicated enough time to me, I didn’t feel rushed or cut short. The only issue is that Dr. Crowell only works 1 day a week at the Coral Gables location so getting an appointment with her at this office isn’t easy. Other than that, the office was clean, convenient location and everyone working there was very pleasant.

Dr Shahub is very professional and the front desk attendant is excellent. Considering the pressure she is under answering the nonstop phone calls and taking care of patients shes the sweetest. Definitely an asset to the office.

Dr. Shalhub is a true profesional. I went into his office after countless attempt to remove this bump from my finger. It would bleed whenever it would touch something abruptly. After multiple laser treatments and time, it is now nonexistent. The doctor was wise and advised me to be patient and he was absolutely right. I would recommend this dermatologists to everyone. Dr Shalhub is incredible dermatologist! All of my family has gone to see him for any dermatology needs. I had a problem on my cheek 4 years ago and he operated on me and now I have no scars, no spots or anything. It is amazing! He is wonderful.I just went today for a different reason and had the same great results.He always treats me and my children with the utmost patient care and respect. He is truly one of the best physicians I’ve come across. I would recommend him to anyone- near and far!

My experience with Dr Don S Shalhub was phenomenal. He literally change my life. I had enormous dark stains on my cheeks and with his help they are completely gone now. I tried other doctors, other treatments and nothing work d before. Im extremely grateful to him. This is the 3rd Dermatologist I visit. I moved further away from my previous Dermatologist and made an appointment here to get a third opinion on cystic acne that I’ve been dealing with for 5 years.I’ve tried many antibiotics, and skincare products and nothing was helping. What ended up making a drastic change was cutting out meat from my diet. But I do still have consistent breakouts. Just not as bad.The receptionists were extremely nice. I was called in to a room with, I’m assuming the Doctors assistant because she never once introduced herself. Long story short, I told them that I really wanted to find the reason for my acne and they said “it happens.” What do you even mean? I didn’t come to this office just for that response. They kept pushing this laser treatment as if the average person can afford it.After showing me a video about the laser, from what it looks to be 30 years old, I asked to see recent testimonials. They honestly didn’t know what testimonials were. They just said to go on their website and Google. Obviously I would do my own research if in fact I wanted to do the laser treatment but it’s common for doctors to have testimonials in the office. The assistant even told me “oh wow I’ve never googled about it.” Like what? Lol.Look, I’m sure the laser treatment works but it can’t be the only option. At one point the assistant asked if any of the skincare products have worked for me and I said no. Her response was to shrug her shoulders and say “you see? The only way to clear your acne is with the laser.”I’m so mad I spent money just to not get any answers.

I recently had my first appointment for mole removal with Dr. Shalhub and I must say that I had excellent experience. Dr. Shalgub was very helpful and nice. And his medical assistant Carolina was so warm and attentive. I highly recommend Dr. Shalhub because he shows he cares and did great job with my mole removal, my skin is healing rapidly because of his good hands. Thank you Dr. Shalhub and his staff.

This was my first time seeking treatment for my blackhead/acne, though I do not have heavy acne I have some zits here and there. My real issue is the little blackheads which cause my skin to appear lightly bumpy looking up close and these small blackheads are hard to remove on my own because they are so small. I know my review is a bit long, but it is honest in my experience visiting this office.So when I get there, the assistant or nurse (she didn’t say), called me to the exam room and asks why I am there; I explain to her the blackheads and bumpiness so I guess we’ll say I was there for my acne but really the bit of pimples weren’t really that big of a deal. Then, she hands me two pamphlets with some laser treatments that would work good for my type of skin and help with the issues I am having (according to her). Once the doctor arrives, I explain to him the bumpiness situation, and he begins to tell me that from what he sees I have cystic acne after a (minimal examination of my face), and that there are no signs of infections, but that he routinely likes to begin acne treatment with antibiotics and additionally prescribed some topical cream for the affected areas. After, he further explains what cystic acne is, and finally hands me the same two laser treatment pamphlets the nurse did earlier. He tells me this is his recommendation for my skin type that this would take the pimples away and smooth out my blackheads bumps and reduce redness…Then, they ask if I have time to see a video, which I did and the video appears to have been made years ago maybe in the 90s or something. The video was more an infomercial regarding one of the laser treatments as opposed to testimonials from his own patients which what I thought the video would have been about. So when I get back to the exam room, I ask the nurse, “Do you guys have images from the doctor’s patients after receiving this treatment?” She said “no, the doctor doesn’t keep those before or after pictures” so she tells me go on google and look up Dr. Shahlub and you will see these videos (I was already googling stuff while sitting there)…... The doctor returns to the room and so I ask him what his success rate with this treatment was in his patients and he said they are great, people clear up fast and it works…... UMMMMM ok……I was a little shocked, since results from others, are what help people make determinations on these types of treatments you know……. I’m sorry but I don’t know this doctor enough to trust his word for it. I wanted physical evidence proof, example of people similar skin that he’s treated showing results.. but nothing. The entire laser treatment thing is for money, at least if that’s what they made me feel by pushing it so much. I asked the doctor for recommendations of skincare over the counter such as a wash or cream and the doctor told me he doesn’t recommend anything in specific….? Wait what….? But I thought, FINE, whatever. Then, I ask, do I continue using my normal skincare cleanser and moisturizer with the prescribed medication, as I don’t want to counter act what he’s just prescribed, he says oh yes that’s fine………………he didn’t even ask the name of the products or their ingredients. I. WAS. ASTONISHED. I have never been to a derm before so maybe this is standard practice. IDK. As I was leaving the nurse/assistant was like this is the only way you’ll get clear up the laser is the best treatment.The overall impression I was left with was that I was just another $$buck waiting to be made. There was no real interest on what my concerns were, no real interest to even suggest an alternative treatment. I wouldn’t recommend this dermatologist for mild acne, at least for me I didn’t not appreciate the experience maybe he would be helpful in other areas in relation to the skin, I do not know nor can I comment or review that aspect of his work.BTW the laser treatment was not cheap…………………………so IDK why it was being so pressed.

Great experience! I went to Dr. Shalhub for a second opinion after I had a terrible experience at another doctor that had many good reviews on Google for a dermatologist in Coral Gables/Miami. I saw Dr. Shalhub at my scheduled appointment time instead of waiting over an hour like I did at the first doctor I went to. Dr. Shalhub took his time with me and also discussed different options I had so that I could make a decision that I was comfortable with. I would highly recommend Dr. Shalhub if youre looking for a good quality dermatologist in Coral Gables.
