Jo Anne and her crew are absolutely the best. I had a big project: complete renovation of bathrooms, kitchen, hardwood floors. I was nervous--a previous experience with a contractor was disappointing and costly. Jo Anne and her team did an outstanding job correcting issues from an earlier renovation, delivering beautiful results on every aspect of the project, collaborating and managing schedules (even my dog loved them) completing all work on time with the utmost skill and professionalism. My house is an older construction (1939) and they did tremendous work adding new materials where needed, restoring and preserving details unique to my home. I am so grateful for their outstanding work!

I wish that I could say that I had the same positive experience with JoAnn at Flooring and Granite by Silva (FGS) as others. We hired FGS to replace all of the flooring and interior doors in our house. The project started great, but she ultimately refused to finish our project even though we paid her in full. The problem started when JoAnn promised to fix some issues with our tile that her own workers created. The guy that installed the doors used his saw to cut the doorframes ON TOP OF our new tile floors UNPROTECTED. I immediately brought the situation to JoAnns attention, and when I asked her if the tiles would be replaced, she said, Of course. We will take care of it. Before the project began, I asked JoAnn if the doors should be replaced before the flooring was installed, she said, No, the floors need to be replaced first. I believe that she had the floors installed first because it was more convenient for her schedule, not the best for the project. The worst part of this situation is that she refuses to return our calls, and it appears that she has blocked our phone numbers and blocked us on Facebook, so we cannot communicate with her. My husband even called her from a different phone number, and when he told her that it was him, SHE HUNG UP ON HIM!!!! Unfortunately, before the problems started with her, my husband wrote a four-star review for her, which she pressured us to write. She even gave us a $100 gift card to ZenZero when she asked us to give her a good review on Google. I wonder how many others have been paid for a good review. So, Im left having to pay someone else money to fix the problems that she created. PLEASE DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH FLOORING AND GRANITE BY SILVA.

Had a GREAT experience working with Jo Anne and her team! They installed quartz countertops with a 10” backsplash and windowsills. I was originally going to go with IKEA but then they completely screwed us over. Jo Anne quickly stepped in to save the day and worked with our budget to get us countertops within the week! Very quick, friendly and quality work. Will definitely recommend.

It started out great, but after she took the last payment she never finished the work. She stopped communicating and never refunded the money for the work she did not complete. I should have trusted her BBB reviews. I ended up hiring someone else to finish the job. I would not recommend her to anyone.

Jo Anne and her team was a life saver when another contractor completely dropped the ball and left us 6 months into a renovation and an incomplete kitchen. The Masterbath, our most recent project, looks like a spa! They took an outdated and grubby bathroom and made it an absolute delight! They installed a new shower in my home in Flower Mound. The entire shower is literally falling apart and tiles are cracking. Entire shower needs to be pulled out and replaced. At first Joanne said they would fix it but 3 weeks later and numerous calls, texts and emails ZERO response. Nothing! Be very careful with these guys. I also paid a premium for what I thought was quality work. I will now have to have the work done by another company and go after them to be reimbursed. Really Bad

I love my granite and especially love my backsplash. I had a look in mind and when Joanne showed me the tiles, the exact one I wanted,but could not find, was there.I had a wonderful experience w/ the company. The work was excellent, everyone was professional and they do great work. There were a couple of snags ( to be expected w/ anyone) but they were dealt with and fixed immediately. I was always kept in the loop. In fact, Joanne began the installation a few days sooner to accommodate other workers. She even recommended people to put in my vent hood and I was happy w/ that company also. I would highly recommend this company to everyone who appreciates good work!!

Our master bedroom shower had a shower pan liner leak due to improper installation by a different contractor. That company is no longer in business. My wife met Jo Anne at work and she offered to redo the shower. They had to demolish the old shower and install a new plywood floor because of the water damage. The workers that Jo Anne sent were excellent, especially Salvador. They did an exceptional job. The subcontractor that rehung the shower door even commented that the shower tile was done in an excellent manner, enabling easy installation of glass door. We had scheduling issues with family medical appointments and Jo Anne was able to accommodate us easily. Overall we are very pleased and happy with Flooring and Granite by Silva. We would highly recommend them for your project.

A successful project is one where the outcome is met and the whole experience is positive. I am glad to say we had both with this company. From the bid process, solution design ! to scheduling and delivery of the work, everything was outstanding. Joanne/Flooring and Granite By Silva is absolutely a professional company to work with.My current contractor for remodeling was delaying the work and I had to take some work from them. I reached out to Joanne with a google search and left a VM. Joanne called me back and we agreed one Quartz counter and back splash installation in one call. It was Tuesday and she promised to finish the work by Saturday and they did. And I must say what a fabulous work her team did. I will post the picture when my house remodeling completes.I was so impressed with her work that I gave her the contract to remodel by three bathrooms (bath tub to shower) and change all the vanities.I will recommend Flooring and Granite By Silva any day to any one. Eduardo was great. Very professional. Needed the cutout of my sink expanded, Eduardo and his staff were in and out in an hour after expanding the sink so the plumber could mount my new sink. Great work!

We needed the hearth on our fireplace undercut so we could continue our DIY installation of laminate flooring. Jo Anne met with us in the morning and sent someone out the very same afternoon to cut the stone on the fireplace. He got it done quickly and it was a fair price for such a small job. Jo Anne was very responsive even though it was a small project.

I contracted Jo Annes company to upgrade the flooring of the entire house with high quality polished marble-like porcelain. The new floor looks amazing down to the details. Her team did a very professional job. Everyone that came to the house asks about the floor! Theyre probably the best in DFW for any kind of tile flooring. In addition, I had them remodeling the master bathroom, 2 guest bathrooms, and the half bath. Everything looks amazing. I also had them doing marble window sill and casing in all windows of the house, and it looks absolutely amazing! JoAnne Silva just finished a full remodel on our 1953 home. She did an amazing job.She rewired the whole house and back house. New plumbing, gutted and redid the kitchen and added a new full bathroom.We live in Highland Park where the inspectors are strict. Jo Anne has been a pleasure to work with. We have used them for 2 projects so far (bathroom countertops and a kitchen backsplash) and have 2 more projects in the planning stages. She has been a total professional throughout the process. Her installers are top notch and they do very nice quality work. She is very knowledgeable about all things related to home repairs and decorating. She has a very nice way of steering you in the right direction – for example, I thought I wanted carrara marble counter tops in our bathrooms and she explained to me how quartz would be the better choice in our case. That could have been a big waste of money if she wouldn’t have been there to help us. She has been very nice about answering all our questions too. I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend her to friends.

I called Flooring & Granite by Silvas to create a new vanity and sink on a piece of furniture in my bathroom. (I was in a bad situation as the contractor who started it never came back after tearing it up.) Not only did F&G by Silvas step in and save the day, they did a great job at a reasonable price and showed up for both appointments either on time or a little bit early. I could not have asked for more with a beautiful end result and timely!

Jo Anne was extremely patient with us in helping us select a material, and in scheduling the templating and installation around our complicated renovation schedule. We found this company via Angies list. They were very responsive and helped us meet tough deadlines in the beginning of a large home remodel (December 2014) Upon finishing the master bath in May 2015, the installers broke the marble backsplash and poorly repaired it on site (first photo). The team left without informing us. It took repeated attempts to get any response from this company to correct the problem. They came to repair (finally) and installed another broken backsplash- this time broken and repaired before they installed it as the seam looked like a clean break. Once I noticed the seam, it took another couple of months and intervention with Angies List to get any response from the company. At that point, the company responded saying that marble is very soft and has veins and cracks. (this was never a discussion at any point of the project) The marble is soft. And, it was quite expensive. The master bathroom remodel was extremely expensive using only top-of-the-line fixtures and materials. Now, we have a seam where there shouldnt be. Company also responded that they would contact me within the month to repair. That was in August 2015. We have never been contacted despite yet another very polite email request asking for Ms. Kloeneck to contact me. We will be taking this company to small claims court since we cannot seem to get any resolution or response. Please do your research prior to using this company! There are some very accurate reviews on Angies list.
