Never been to Midas so I dont know.

Did not get service, just went to get a quote. They put things on the quote that I didnt ask for and excluded things that I did ask for because their mechanic left for the day. This was at 2 pm on a Wednesday... Feels a little scammy/like they would take advantage of someone who didnt know much about cars.

Called on Monday asking if they had appointments available for Thursday. They replied no we do first come first serve basis (meaning if you are there early we can guarantee yours will be done) Okay cool so I took off Thursday and i was in the parking lot 20 minutes early making me the 2nd person in the door. Arrived at a little after 4 and my vehicle had not been moved. This was my only day off and I trusted they went by the business moto first come first serve not hey we have leftovers from yesterday we probably wont get to it but you can leave your vehicle here instead of giving someone a heads up. Bottom line is I should have just took it to Firestone. Would not recommend this business.

They claimed they were too busy.. for in and out service.. well I used to live there 20 years ago you could get in and out... no waiting not for 4 damn days

Were honest about repairs I was willing to pay for that I didnt need and very good multiple experiences overall. The only complaint I would mention is that my wheelchair had a hard time getting in and out of the door and the restrooms are not wheelchair accessible. The door wont even close with a wheelchair in there.

They worked my truck into their busy schedule. Did very good work, contacted me when the work was done. Very happy with the work, but a little bit pricey.

After my new truck was rear ended and received approximately $2k in damages, it was taken to the best body shop in Cookeville, Julians Auto Body & Frame Shop. During their course of repairs, they brought my truck to Midas to do exhaust work. I couldnt be happier with the outcome! My truck runs and sounds great, and it looks awesome too! Thank you all for the great work! Keep it up...

I dropped my truck off at Midas for an alignment. Long story short they were not able to do the alignment because the truck had frame damage. They still charged me $80.00 for an alignment, and when i asked them for a refund they refused and told me to fix my frame and take my truck back to them within 6 weeks to get a free alignment. (MORE LIKE PREPAID ALIGNMENT WITH AN EXPIRATION DATE) fast forward 4 weeks later the body shop i took it too threw in a free alignment. I call Midas again asking for a refund of $80.00 since i no longer needed my prepaid alignment with them, again they refused to refund me my money and said they might be able to discount my future work. As if i would ever get future work from Midas again

Took my truck in May 10th for ac diagnose, fixed that day for 213$. 10 days later ac quit working, took back in May 30th, found and fixed a few problems, no charge! They guarantee their work. Very nice group of service people.

When you tell a customer oh, it is first come first serve, do not try and tell them that they will have to leave their car all day or come back and be the first one in the morning the next day.

I had AC not working in my old ford escort. Those guys fixed that in less than an hour for less than $40. It has been working now for over 5 months. Before I came to Midas I was in 3 other places. I guy sad that the fix would cost $800, the other guy replaced some parts unnecessarily and fixed nothing the 3rd one did not even want to touch it.I strongly recommend Midas.

We broke down in Cookeville on our way to South Carolina. The gentlemen in this Midas took great care of us. They treated us with class, fixed our car quickly and got us back on the road without blowing our budget. A situation that could have been very different with unscrupulous people. Came by Midas because my car barely made it up I-40 to the first Cookeville exit bc my transmission was going into limp mode; had a “service engine soon” light on; and I had the code readout from my first stop, AutoZone, which I gave to them when I walked in. I told them I was trying to get home to VA to see my family bc my Dad was dying-which I guess was a mistake, bc they magically told me, WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT MY CAR, OPENING THE HOOD, OR EVEN GOING OUTSIDE, that I needed a new transmission that would cost me $3300. When I asked if it could be the fluid levels, they laughed and said no WITHOUT EVEN CHECKING. Turns out my transmission fluid just needed to be flushed-$169 at my neighborhood Valvoline and it’s good as new. Horrible scammers, and bc of them I had to turn around and drive back to Nashville-while I was low on fluid and had to pull over every 10 miles or so to let the fluid cool down-instead of simply having my transmission flushed and continuing on to see my Dad. Horrible, negligent scammers at this location. Do not ever go here, they obviously don’t care about customers, their needs, or even what is best for their cars. They care only about money. I will be reporting them to the BBB and will be contacting their corporate HQ. They caused me to miss an invaluable weekend with my Dad simply bc they wanted money.

They dont take appointments... That is pretty much my only complaint.

I called this place and asked if they knew anything about how to put on wheel spacers. They said they knew how to put them on. So of course I take my truck over there and drop it off. When I get it back I notice that the wheel shakes a bunch so i take it over to Firestone because midas was closed and they removed the wheel spacers and wouldnt let me drive out of the shop with the wheel spacers on. They noticed that midas has put pipe dope on my spacers instead of locktite. They also noticed that my studs were way too short for those spacers to be on there. So basically they sent me out of their shop with my wheels about to fall off the damn truck and are saying that they arent responsible. So if you need to go there for anything suspension related just save yourself the trouble and go to somebody who knows what they are doing.

Took our 2013 Mustang in today to have a tire fixed. The guy was trying to pry the tire off of my chrome wheel with a metal bar. He scratched & bent my wheel. When my husband confronted them about it, they got defensive & tried saying it was not their fault! Come on, people, just own up to your mistakes!!! Then they tried to make my husband leave without giving him any paperwork saying he had been there & he was told to get off the property! This is no way to run a business...very unprofessional!

Unfortunately, I need to leave this review here as a possible warning to other people looking for a place to service their vehicle in Cookeville. I have taken my car to Midas multiple time over the past couple years and have received overall declining service there since my first visit.- On one occasion I got my car back with a missing lug nut in the tire. They only noticed when I pointed it out myself.- Second time my oil drain plug was not properly tightened, ultimately causing all my oil to leak out.- Asking my brake system to be checked because of my lifetime warranty with them, only to find that one of my calipers has worn a brake pad down completely less than 30 days after.Like other reviewers have said, Scott and the team are good people, but their repeated shortcomings have caused me to do business elsewhere as well as a lot of money and hassle. I honestly wish I were presenting a different situation here, but the fact stands that I was told my vehicle was in working order when in fact it was not.

Took my car in to have belts replaced. Well they replaced the belts sure. They didn’t, however, tighten the belt properly and my car shrieks like a banshee. They also left a couple of their sockets in my engine bay. Thanks for the extra 10mm socket!
