I am not now nor have I ever been a tenant in any of the homes managed and owned by Pat Astrin, Steve Astrin, and/or Astrin Investments. I am, however, a direct neighbor to three of their properties in a neighborhood off of Glenwood Rd. I own my house on Lee Street, which is populated by diligent and respectful homeowners who strive to keep their homes and yards orderly. Pat Astrin has allowed the properties she manages to become poorly maintained and overcrowded to the point of being eyesores on an otherwise lovely street.I have spoken to Pat directly- it is her son who owns the properties under Astrin Investments. I assume it is Steve Astrin, as he is listed as the owner of one of the properties along with the LLC. She told me they purchased the home directly next to mine in 2008 and had done nothing to it besides paint it and replace the kitchen floor since then (over the course of twelve years).I have become friends with the tenants who occupied the house directly next door to me and have seen first hand the disrepair and overall shoddy condition the homes are in, including rodent and roach infestations in a home that is kept clean otherwise.I, as a young white woman, truly did get the sense from my conversation with Pat, my conversations with her tenants, and from reading the other reviews that this company is less than ideal for minorities to rent from. It is my wish that instead of discounting and dismissing this review as they have so many others, the Astrins might take some responsibility and address their treatment of their tenants first and foremost as well as their properties.
Viewed a rental property managed by Astrin. The current tenant was disgusting, the house smelled and there was a huge hole in the living room carpet! Upon applying I mentioned the damage and showed pictures of the current condition! Upon being contacted to sign the lease, I was informed that none of the damages would be fixed!!! As a result of that, I decided to not sign the lease and move into the property! Of course, the did not refund my deposit and held it as an administrative fees! These people are money hungry, take security deposits and do not use them to fix tenant damage! They just expect the new tenant to live in a slum hole! Be careful of how they operate, and how they maintain their properties!***Response to management company****Yes, I place a hold on the property because I was told by the girl who showed me the apartment that it would be fixed and then when I came into your office I was told otherwise and the unit had not been vacated and what I put money to hold was a home with no holes in the carpets and then when I chose not to go under a lease and be living in a run down unit in need of refurbishment for 12 months. Also everyone that has rented properties knows its proper for a rental company to clean and if needed replace carpeting and a fresh coat of paint on the unit. I guess I was mistake for thinking you all lived up to that standard expectation and then just out of spite help the holding money based on providing misleading information and only wanting to flip a unit and not take the necessary steps to make a client happy and it speaks volumes to your ethics and brand standards because I would never put my name on a unit that has holes in the carpet like a cheap motel.

I must say when I talk to Pat she was very understanding and was ready to help and assist me in any way possible. i really appreciate the time that Pat and her staff took to hear me out. Its all about respecting one another and listening to what each party has to say and come to an agreement. If you ask me if you should use Astrin Property Management I would say yes Yes and yes good person to work with. Pat and her staff are amazing to work with. Astrin property management is the best property management company in the Atlanta area hands down. The decision to have the team manage our properties was the best decision we have ever made. Our tenants are happy and our rental homes are never vacant. Pat and her team do an excellent job with screening applications, taking applications, and moving folks into their new homes. I have no anxiety or stress with any problems that may come up as the team always handles them without any problems. I rented a townhouse from Pat 5687 wells circle stn mtn,GA. During the winter 11-2018 my heat didnt work I put in work order and no one ever showed up. I looked on the site and my work order was canceled. I ask why and never got a response. They never answer the phone or messages. However 2019 summer came and the air wasnt working and the refrigerator went out. All my food spoiled by the time someone came. It was the thermostat that was bad. I got nothing for my food that went bad. Fast forward to Jan 19,2020 a fire burned down the unit next to mine. The fire dept came thru my unit and the unit on the other side. They brought the hose thru to combat the fire from the back. They trampled up and down stairs even in the attic dragging out pink insulation. Putting holes on the wall breaking the window. And the storm door by dragging that water house thru the front door...living room dining room out the patio door. I was standing out in the cold for 3 hours while they fought the fire. When it was over there was no lights,no gas and extreme damage. So they walk us through to get some things me my 10 yr old granddaughter and my son. They went through every single room. I was devasted at the damage...water,smoke and they way the place was trashed. My furniture ruined...things knocked over,broken. I mean just image this is a tiny twnhm 2bdrms/2.5 bth. I sent Pat a email that next day. They didnt come look at the place until that Friday image the smell of dirty wet carpet,smoke and mildew. Well due to my respiratory illness and my granddaughter asthma we couldnt move back in. Just image living with a burned down bldg attached to yours. I asked Pat if she had any other properties she said no. Okay fine now Ive been a good tenant rent paid on time every month. Im a senior on disability. You would think that she would refund my security deposit and reimburse me for January rent and we part ways. No she forced me to do a exist walk thru...why the incident rpt said the estimated damage from the fire was $6,000-$10,000 and you still want my money. I was charged for some pink stuff on the carpet upstairs...because was I supposed to have upstairs carpet cleaned in a burned-out unit she ducted scratch marks on the wall. Mind you now the fire dept took a ax and other equipment upstairs in a unit where there was no lights on.But somehow she new I did that damage right. The broken storm door was also a deduction. Image a fire hose coming thru and then the water being turned on image it expands. So after I receive the check from the owner I never met,talked too or even came by to see his unit. Gold Property PartnersLLC and signed by Abraham Gray which their is no contact number or business address and Pat sure aint telling it either. So I sent her emails and they responded check your lease APM doesnt hold security deposit. What lease the fire made the lease null and void the place was uninhabitable there was no lights or gas and the fore dept took the meter out. Well who does because these people dont exist. I did a review on Zillow and other places with the rest of her unhappy customers well I get a text and email from her threatening me about the emails I sent to her office saying that if I didnt take down my reviews she was going to file harassment and threats charges on my thru Rockdale County Sheriff Dept. I told her go right ahead because youre the one whos texting me now telling me I advise you to take down your post or I will add them too. I have a few questions..1) How many others have you texted to take down theirs bad reviews .2)Have you threaten them as well to file charges of harassment 3) Isnt it my right like all the others to write a review good or bad about any company Ive death with? One more isnt it illegal to file a claim for damages thru the insurance company and take my money for damages too? ONE review was from a veteran w/ptsd from 10-27-19 now tell me who needs to be investigated. How do you treat veterans and seniors and people on disability like that? How? And I have proof of my story. I have pics.

Beware she will fool you into thinking she has your best interest until she has your business then her horns come out under that reddish-brown hair. All Im going to say is this, Astrin Properties is a VERY efficient and family oriented business. I worked with Pat on finding me and my daughter a home. She not only found me a home, she went out of her way to make sure I was happy! Pat was very professional. She went over all the details of my contract ( which I suspect is why there are a few disgruntled people on here, because they cant read a contract). Everything is explained before you sign. Pat, Thank you for finding me the perfect home!!!
I have been a tenant for two years and I have never had a problem or issue with them fixing anything. Staff is always friendly and helpful and willing to go the extra mile for their tenants. I would recommend them to friends and family when looking to lease a home. Keep up the great work Astrin Property Management! :-)

I am being forced to give this company one star however, I do not feel like they deserve that at all!!! I am highly disappointed with their lack of management. My son rented a house from them and spent the entire winter without HEAT. He kept warm with a heated blanket. This was after spending an entire summer without air, except for the window units we installed personally. There were rodents in his walls, which had extremely large holes, giving the creatures access. The attic was full of squirrels, causing chaos constantly. The large trees in the yard were not maintained hence after a storm, a tree fell and crushed my sons car roof. Thank God it wasnt a person outside that was injured because this company could care less. They reached out to this company numerous times, along with myself, but never with any results. Truth be told, we should have called the health department. I would NEVER rent from this management group or recommend anyone else to.Unfortunately, that is a lie. I personally talked to you on the phone regarding the tree falling and you made it clear nothing would be done and then you quickly hung up on me. I tried to call back and it went straight to voice mail. You are ridiculous!!
I have been a tenant with Astrin Property management for 6 years. I have had a great experience. If there are ever any issues I let them know and they respond and get things fixed in a timely manner. My property did not have a fence, i have 3 dogs, so they put up a fence for me. i am very happy with my service that I receive from Astrin Property Management.
Very underhanded and sneaky. They found a way to try and charge rent even after moving out and moving with the entire family to Seattle.... Turned in the keys, cleaned the house, and left the proper way but still charged. Then when the company was called to get the problem fixed, the line was disconnected multiple times and was spoken to very rudely. This can easily be proven and cleared up but they dont want to hear it...They just want money. Disgustingly underhanded.***That was a very quick reply for people who dont answer the phone, emails, or return voicemails....I will continue to update my post until the ROBERTSONS are answered. Thank you. ***
Property absolutely filthy at move in, mice feces in kitchen, heat/AC non functional and they wont do anything about it even after several calls and emails. They have no regard for the health of your children even if the lease states THEY are responsible for pest control except bed bugs yet say you have to handle it. Good luck to you if you decide to lease everything is your responsibility like your are the owner. The neighborhood is one of feels positives.

Would not recommend.This company has a house on Columbia for rent. Theres almost no info about the property except rental price, address, and min app fee of $75 which I find very high for a rental application.The Zillow posting says to text for info so I did-- greeted Pat in the text, stated my name and the property I was interested in renting.I was texted back what would you like to knowNo greeting. No thank you for contacting. No info even though I stated my reason for texting.This may not seem like a big deal to some but when youre in a business based on good customer service (at least it should be) this is a complete turn off to me and many others.Usually when I call or text about any thing regardless of the industry or product asking for information I receive a whole spiel which answers most if not all of my questions.Pat just seemed uninterested and unmotivated to do anything and reading the reviews now Im glad she was because its seemed to have saved me a major headache in dealing with this company.
Just relocated to the area for my husbands job. After many calls and emails to various property Managment companies and realtors for over two weeks with no response, we found Pat and what a wonderful breath of fresh air. She met with us the same day showed us multiple homes and got us into a dream home in an amazing neighborhood less than a week later. I highly recommend Pat and her team to help you find your next home!
While I have not rented from this company I came across in my research, I feel compelled to write a review based upon their unprofessionalism in handling negative reviews! I am an objectve person and reviews are purely subjective. And as a business you may receive unfavorable reviews. But to resort to refuting claims and tenant shaming in this arena assures me that there is some strong credibility to many of the claims voiced on this forum. It is unprofessional and outright wrong to discuss the reason and status of a tenants departure in an open forum. It would have been better to personally address the review with the reviewer privately. Thanks but NO thanks! Ill keep looking and spend my dollars with a company who displays more integrity and a higher moral business ethic.
This company is the worst. I was going through a lot this pass March. I went to this company and explained what was going on in my life just hoping and praying I wouldnβt be taken advantage of because I wasnβt familiar with the area and this company. I had just loss my baby, my sister had come to help me find a home from Florida and was in Macon in a car crash that had her in a coma. I needed a place fast I was living in a hotel. I walked in and paid my money for the property to be held. I had to have an inspection, and thank God I did. They told me it would pass and everything would be fine. I have all emails and every message I sent back and forth. When it came time for the inspection the house had 4 pages of problems wrong. The inspector looked at me outside in tears and said Iβm so sorry youβve been done like this but you need to get your money back and find another place. She said that home was in terrible shape. I called them on the phone and the receptionist said itβs ok Ms. Young we will fix it. It took 2 weeks I recieved a message from them that said we are no longer golfing this property for you and you can only have half of your money back. I was devasted. Iβm just getting my mind together after all of that. I went in the office, they looked at me and called the police because I wanted to stay and speak with Pat. They looked at me and my son and the lady got on the phone and said we look threatening. That company is prejudice and money hungry. The police and everyone else I spoke with informed me to take legal matters. This company is the worst. The only reason I gave 1 because thatβs the only way to write a review. I donβt wish this stress and treatment on anyone.Response to ownerThese people are liars and just because they lied Iβm going to provide all proof. I see that they canβt keep records because they gave me 48 hours to have the full amount to take it off the market. Just because you lied Iβm really going to take it further for lying on my name.
They had a house for rent and I and my boyfriend called this company about 4 times a week for 2 months about the house. They never answer the phone, when you leave a message they dont call back. I finally got in touch with someone and they told me they had to fix some things around the house then they would give me a call, they never called me back. I finally went by the office a couple days later and they said they rented it to someone else.Theyre lazy and unprofessional.
Pat & her staff are awesome! Im a disabled veteran with a special needs child looking for a forever home. Although my credit has been crucified due to medical expenses, Pat was still able to help! Absolutely love!! The only thing short of 5 stars is no one is able to answer the phone! LOL
We just recently moved into a property on Plymouth Way. We loved the property when we viewed it and still do however there were a few problems that we were told would get fixed prior to move in. Before making our deposit, the company was flexible and caring but after, the ball dropped. We made our deposit then did our walk through before signing the lease, my fiancΓ©e was rushed through this process because Jennifer had somewhere else to be so several things were found after she left. We were told wed get an email with the checklist and still havent received it. We were told the utilizes were on and we had a grace period to have them switched in our name since we were moving on a Friday however there was no gas therefore we slept in a cold house for three days along with my child and two year old niece. I addressed these things to the company and was only told that they gave my number to the contractor who would call us. Our lights and water were turned off three days after moving in without notice. When I called, there was no interest in our plight. We now speak directly to the contractor who is in touch with the landlord because they seem to be the only caring people in this situation. My problem is not with the landlord at all, it is with the company. I encourage anyone to ask all the right questions and make sure the house is livable before moving in and I encourage any landlord to think twice about going through this company.

Pat Astrin is the rudest realtor ever! She thinks just because she owns her own company she can talk to tenants however she pleases. She definitely can, but its bad business to do so. Rent is due on the 1st and if not paid, they charge a $100 fee, no grace period or anything. They do not use the security deposits to fix the property so if you decide to move in, its as is. The home owners cannot possibly have a clue that they arent using the money properly. This is a money hungry company so if you can rent else where, DO IT!!! Save yourself the headache from dealing with her!
Horrible. They will not repair anything. I lived an entire year in the house without a working icemaker and grill. Constant water leaks, covered up but not repaired. Never rent anything from this company! I cleaned the entire house to include carpets and was not given a full refund. I was told ot contact the owner if I had issues. The property management is company is responsible for returning my deposit, not the owner. I was deducted because the carpets smelled like dogs in one of the rooms, yet I paid a 1,000 pet deposit fee. What was that money used for if they still deducted more money for carpet cleaning in one room. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

Pat atrin is a very kind and sweet person I love my place I just dont like the area its to hood and ghetto I dont want to sign my lease again but I would love to rent from Pat atrin I just want to be safe for me and my kids
This is the worst company I have ever rented from. They are money hungry slum lords. I have video of squirrels and rodents and they still deny that any lived at my house!! Our toilet was practically falling through the floor and they placed a wooden board under it and called it βfixedβ numerous holes in the floor. Our heater didnβt even work through the snow this past winter. Even their maintenance man said they didnβt work and she tried to tell me they did. I had a picture of where it was 47 degrees in the house!! Rats and mice were everywhere. Poop on the counters. I even had proof and astrin real estate still said there werenβt any. A tree even fell on my boyfriends car during a storm and damaged the whole roof. This company said that they werenβt going to do anything about it even though the trees werenβt maintained. Thank god no one was in the car because this company would not care. We put in a 60 day notice and move out because it was horrible!

After receiving in, we try calling to reconcile the matter. We called 10 times and left several voicemails, no response but after the 4th call, Candice replies with a text. They are beyond ridiculous. Unless you are in contact with the home owner, things will not get fixed in a timely manner. ny 94 year old grandmother came to visit and had to stay two weeks in a heat less house. It still took a month to get fixed. If you are looking to rent, dont rent here. If you are looking for a management company, you are better off managing it on your own rather than using Pat Astrin and her team.
Property was on Big Bear Conyers. Pat Astrin and her staff are the worse company I have ever dealt with. This last year of dealing with her and Denise have been complete HELL. If you are willing to deal with drama and headaches sign up here. They do not fix broken appliance. They replace them with more broken appliances. They do not paint or replace the carpet before you move in. Denise will say one thing and Pat will change the story or the other way around. All lies. Their workers dont speak English, someone will come out with him to translate, along with being covered in tattoos (even on his head). The A/C was broken the day I moved in, I reported it on a Friday, On Tuesday I still hadnt heard anything so I sent another email (cause thats how they run a business) Denise replied with your A/C along with 7 others are broke, we will get to it when we get to it. When winter came the heat didnt work yet again you still have to wait and wait and wait. I have pictures and videos of how I left the place inside and out yet they still kept most of my security deposit. Denise said I didnt cut the grass and kept $150 for a tiny townhouse yard (tiny front yard and tiny side yard no back yard. I paid $25 every other week to have it cut). I have a receipt where I had the carpet cleaned before I moved and they kept $100 for that. Denise said I left leaves on the patio (there are no trees out there) so where did the leaves come from? (lies) I bleached the kitchen and bathrooms before I moved and they kept $150 for that. Pat said I wouldnt get any of my deposit back because I would not allow her to show strange people the townhouse I was living in with my property there but someone sent me some of my deposit back. Hmmm I could go on and on with their rude customer no service but hopefully you get it by now.
Pat Astrin is a money hungry slumlord that is very rude, disrespect, unprofessional on all levels! Property on Laurel Ct has tremendous plumbing issues! (UNIT A & B) Property was absolutely nasty, unclean, smelly and worn and missing tiles in dinning and kitchen floors. Today my basement has flooded again for the 3rd time and still no response from Pat ! My home office is ruined and so is my equipment! I have had several issues with Pat and these leaks and nothing has been resolved. Pat admitted to me about how she filed false insurance claim on unit back in 2014 to repair flooded basement just for us to continue to have leaks so what happened to the insurance money! It sure never wasnt used to fix the plumbing issue and has went up on rent 2xs without improving the property. DO NOT RENT OR USE THIS COMPANY FOR MANGEMENT! IT IS A DISGRACE THAT GEORGIA ALLOWS THESE TYPE OF PEOPLE TO BE IN BUSINESS!
I have been a client of Astrin Property Management for 3 years and just renewed my lease. Words cannot express how much I greatly appreciate Pat and the staff with Astrin Property Mgmt. My two children and I have been through alot and Astrin Property made it so easy. They worked with me through every situation. They made sure I kept a roof over my head for my children and when starting my new job worked with me on my payments. I informed Pat that I was intrested in another area and to keep an eye out for properties in other areas. I wouldnt want to work with another management team. I was moved into the property on atherton dr,shortly thereafter the home started flooding repetitively. The neighbors had mentioned it so I said something to them. However they advised the issue was resolved. Everytime it rained my things would get destroyed so I contact the city and the home had been deemed unlivable. I advised them of this he states ill let you break your lease did not give my deposit back and now the house is boarded with yellow tape. I still have all the pictures of my things and Im in the process of taking them to court.. slum lords... this is Very True and anyone who would like to verify just go to the address 1638 atherton drive and you will see,even speak with the neighbors they will also vouch and you can call the city they will also advise that these are facts. They kept my 850 deposit and rented a home they knew was not fit to live in.
Looked at a particular property in Conyers, present tenant that was there was filthy. Hole in the carpet. When asked about the hole was told they would replace the carpet with tile floors, but they will not paint the unit. I find that very odd in the state of Ga that you can allow another person to move in on top of the previous tenants filth. The walls were a hiddious green and dark beige throughout and they were not going to paint. I was told they do not paint, but would allow the person who will be moving in to paint if they like. I know that is against the Landlord and Tenants violation in Rockdale County. What is the deposit for that they get up front, I thought that was to repair any damanges done by previous tenants, but I guess not. Someone needs to check into this company and possiblly report them to the Rockdale Housing Landlord and tenants because certainly it is some kind of violation.
I believe Pat Astrin does not rent to minorities. I was working with an African American Realtor. Pat purposely gave us the wrong address for the property. Than when we got the right address she kept giving us the wrong key code. On seperate occasions Ive called myself about properties and to no avail.
Pat Astrin herself is a slum Lord and lacks professionalism if you are not a handy man DO NOT RENT FROM HER SHE WILL NOT KEEP PROPERTY MAINTAINED
