Funeral planning is a heart-wrenching experience. The loss, the confusion, the sadness and the inability to think straight, barely touches the emotions that are are swirling around during this time. In the last three years, I have had to plan funerals for not only my husband of 39 years, but also two and a half years later, for my youngest daughter who never reached her 35th birthday. Scot Ward made sure that every single detail we requested was complete. They truly cared - we could feel it in their eyes. The funerals we planned were not exactly traditional, but perfect for us. Both Terry and Michelle were there for us, as was the rest of the staff. The music, the videos, the visitation, the flowers presentations and the funerals themselves were perfect, respectful of our loved ones. Respectful of all who attended. The assistance they gave us in the planning - in planning the videos, picking out urns, books and every other detail helped us so much. They felt our grief and responded with so much compassion and love. There is nothing worse in my opinion, than planning a funeral for someone you love. But if you have to do it, Scot Ward is the place to do it. They care.

They are First Class!! I worked for The Ritz-Carlton for 20 years and know service. They were their for everything I needed before I ask for it. Very nice and easy to do business with. They are a one stop shop too. They even picked up the phone when I called for information at 3am in the morning to start helping me thru the process.

I would like to say Thank You to Scot Ward for handing the most difficult event that I have handled so far. The passing of my mother Kimberly Strickland. I got the news and being 4 states away all I could go was a couple of reviews and the nice voice of Mrs Jane and Mr Terry as I broke down and said out loud for the first time that my mama had passed. They did not rush us as we stumbled through this event. They allowed us to take our time and answered all our questions in very respectful manner.

Everyone here was amazing and very helpful during my family’s time of need. Losing my mother was the hardest thing but the funeral home helped with every step and made sure everything was taken care of. Thank you for all of your help.

Scot Ward handled both of my parents funerals. They had to pick up both bodies and were so very compassionate and respectful of our families pain in those horrible moments. I worked with Michelle and Terry, they are both wonderful to work with during your grief. They are so helpful and just what you need when you are heartbroken and needing guidance on how to handle all of the arrangements. The staff is super caring and make you feel like family. The attention to all the details they give is amazing and you basically have minimal tasks to handle personally. I appreciate all they did for our family and am forever grateful.

I could not have been more please with the professionalism from every staff member I encountered at Scot Ward. Now that’s business.I want everyone to know the hearts of the employees. They are some of the most kind, compassionate and caring people I have ever met. They treated me and my family as if we were their own family. They laugh with you, cry with you, pray with you.... whatever you need they are there for you. My mothers service was a few weeks ago and we are still treated the same way. My husband passed unexpectedly in January, he could not survive the damage the Covid-19 virus blcaused to his lungs. I had attended a friends service at Scot Ward and when rhe hospital asked me who would I be using to handle his remains, I responded right away that I wanted Scot Ward Funeral Services. I needed more help than I ever imagined and they were over the top wonderful to me and my adult children. Very considerate, professional, did not pressure or rush us as they were very forth coming in offering suggestions and ideas that made all the difference in this world to help us through planning my husband and my childrens fathers services. They communicated and kept me aware of what I needed to do especially in the midst of this pandemic. Scot Ward is so really good at what they do at a time when you most need caring people who are full of compassion for me and my family.

Everyone I dealt with at Scot Ward was Compassionate, Competent, Professional and Responsive and the premises werent bad either.

We dealt with Melissa in the beginning and she was wonderful but when we started to question prices one of the Wards came in. I think it was Roger, he came into the room defending their pricing and being very condescending. We were burying our Aunt who was like a Mother to us and had buried our Father two weeks before. We had just paid for the same services and knew the prices were extremely high. She had prepaid her expenses but they were marking everything up to make us come up with more even though we were eliminating services already paid for. They bank on the fact that youre emotional and dont shop around for pricing. Once all that happened they didnt help with the obituary and everything was extremely basic. We almost moved her and I wish we had. We will never use them again! One of the larger Funeral Homes in Covington was much more compassionate and the prices were much more reasonable. Dont let the building fool you! My dads was much more personalized. The only reason I gave them a 2 is because the other staff was great and just got caught up in the drama. We ultimately paid $2000 more for less services and a lot less compassion.

Terry was our Funeral Director and could not have been any more Fantastic. Made the arrangement planning seamless and every detail was perfect. I never thought I would be giving a review on a funeral home but it is my pleasure to do so.

Professional and calm. Our situation was sudden and we had zero plans done. They calmly walked us through what we needed and no pressure sales on decision making. I felt paralyzed most of the time, but they were very patient. Giving us directions and choices all of the way. My only critique would be, have someone welcoming guests and make sure they sign the book with all information. Many of our guests did not sign book, plus have a start and finish page between viewing pages and Funeral. I missed seeing most people at funeral, so we should have chosen a short viewing before service in Chapel just to meet those guests. These ideas are just what we discovered after the funeral. Feel very pleased to have my 22 year old resting in peace at Scot Ward.
