I needed new tires so my guy friend set up an appointment for me at Mavis Tires in Concord. I arrived and gave the guy at the register my order number. He was personable & professional. I sat in the waiting area while my car was being serviced. The wait was eventful because a fire alarm went off & I jetted out of there! The firetruck arrived in less than five minutes. The clerk explained that there is trouble with the system which causes a false alarm. About two and a half hours into my wait I was told that my car would be ready soon. The mechanic test drove my car because 1 tire indicated that I had low tire pressure. I went ahead and paid the invoice while I waited. I inquired about a warranty in which the clerk told me that it was extra but he never quoted me a price - he said that Goodyear has a year warranty. When the mechanic returned with my vehicle both he and the inside clerk were inspecting the tire. The mechanic pulled my car around as if it was ready. The clerk explained that a sensor was showing the tire pressure to be low but the pressure was in fact correct. He said that I could bring the car back for service. What???? Almost $700 spent & something isnt working properly? I need this to be fixed today because I had no sensor problems when I drove the car to the shop. When my receipt was printed I noticed that my guy friends name was on it and not mine. I advised that since payment could not be taken over the phone directly from my ever so generous friend that I needed my name on my receipt. A phone call was made and then the correct receipt was reprinted. The clerk said that they would repair the sensor free of charge. I was feeling a bit uneasy but I went back to the seating area to wait for the repair. 3 hours later - and Im rolling away. Lucky for me food options were in the same parking lot!Update: As Im rideshare driving on the highway my car begins shaking and so does my steering wheel.This is not a bad review so hang in here to see how the problem was fully resolved. I was greeted by two ladies at the front when I walked in. I frantically told them about my issue. I am not excited about having to return but I want the problem fixed fully before I leave. Angie, (Manager) walked outside with me to look at my tires. She spoke car language and explained that my front tires needed to be weighted. She is extremely genuine and reassured me that they would correct the problem. I felt relieved when greeted by female employees. Angie, went on to explain that she has new employees. I definitely understand that there cam be human error in anything. I just need to feel safe on the road. Angie sold me a warranty at a discounted price and elaborated on other services that are offered through Mavis. I am completely satisfied with the customer service and follow up that I received from Angie! I havent had any other problems with my tires.

James was very customer focused. He knew exactly what needed to be repaired and explained it to me in a way I could understand. He did an incredible job and I definitely will be going back!!

I had literally just came back from my honeymoon and saw my car had a flat tire. Mavis was the only tire place i found that was open on a Sunday. I called to get a quote for a new tire and they were extremely helpful. Even though, Mavis was super busy and booked with multiple appointments, they were able to squeeze me in and provide me with a new tire in under 2 hours! I was extremely happy with my service and I cant thank them enough. Thank you again!!

I made an appointment online for 10 AM at Mavis for new tires. For some reason it was in their system for an oil change. The GM took care of me. I hadnt picked out tires so she brought up options and recommended one for my driving needs. She ordered them and said theyd be at the shop by noon so asked if I could come back at noon. I only live down the road and since I didnt check my reservation for the discrepancy it was no problem. They changed my tires and gave me a 12 month warranty if I need them repaired or replaced. They were awesome and now have a customer for life.

I pulled in here today without an appointment when one of my tires lost pressure. They looked at it right away and replaced the valve stem free of charge and sent me on my way. Ive not had any business with them in the past but theyve definitely got it going forward. Great shop

My encounter with this location came after already having been to a different tire location in Durham. My front side driver tire went flat traveling from GA with my fiance to her mom. Reaching out to them for some form of a discount since the Goodyear tire ($211) they provided went flat on us before we even left the state. Fast forward to the best tire shop encounter Ive ever had. Dave and Daniel were great. If it were not for them we would have been toughing it out for the weekend (it was Memorial Day weekend), but Dave is a genuine guy that knows his business and will go the second mile to help the customer. His solution pushed us all the way home and and we have not experienced any further issues. Thank you

Update to this review. I gave this a one star originally due to the review below. Two days later, someone from Mavis PROACTIVELY reached out to me about my experience. The reply from my review asked me to call but I did not b/c I just had not had the time. She listened to my issues and was understanding. She did not speak poorly of her employees (which I thought said a lot) but simply apologized for the experience and that was it was not what is to be expected. She offered what she could to make it right but I explained, I had my tires and not sure I had a need to really return but thanked her for her time. Short time later, she called back saying she did not want to leave me with an unhappy experience-period and made an offer to make things right- with the effort, I am changing my review. If management is willing to do this much for one persons satisfaction, I am beginning to think that they really do stand behind their word. Rebecca has done more than needed to make me rethink my one star review.First time going. Did due diligence (I thought) in getting total cost. Day of appointment, new price and a day delay in getting done. Day 2...3rd price told.....once they have you waiting 2 plus hours...you agree to anything to get your car back and leave....last timeDo not recommend. Todd and crew do not get a good review.

First time customer. I went there to plug a tire but required 2 new ones, Rebecca got out her tools and hand crafted me 2 new tires by hand with nothing more than a few rubber bands and within 10 mins had them on the car before I was able to sip my water. Great job!

Hands down the best tire and auto service in town. So many positive things to say, I will start by saying everyone was friendly and professional. When I first walked in I was instantly greeted by Michael,one of the mechanics that very proactively took my keys and started filling out info about my car he asked what I was there for,all while I was still waiting in line. When it was my turn the service technician already had all my info. I want to recognize Angie the service tech/manager who assisted me all the way, very knowledgeable about all the products and services. She took the time to find the correct things I needed for my vehicle going above and beyond to help me fit into my budget. They are a trustworthy company because I came in requesting some brakes because another service center had said that I supposedly needed breaks. When my car was ready with the 4 tires that I purchased for my 2017 Accord she told me that they checked my brakes and that they were still fine..very impressed of her honesty because anyone else would have just changed them to steal my money. I had like 100 questions and she answered all of them without making any faces. Thank you Mavis for wanting my business and going above and beyond ...definitely recommend it .

Had a problem with one of my tire pressure and the guy worked very hard and come to find out my monitor was showing the wrong tire but after awhile he got the nail out of the correct tire and was so friendly. I was very impressedNice work

Terrible experience-I went to get my tires changed a week ago. Upon pick up, immediately noticed my glove compartment had greasy finger prints all over it, tools that were retrieved were not returned. Upon further inspection, realized the tool box section in the trunk was opened and left open with tools strewn everywhere. The tire hub cap to one of the front wheels also came up missing. At this point, considering filing a police report for theft.

Vehicle brought up to the shop for a simple brake job, 6 hours later still not done. I understand high volume. But the vehicle was put on the back burner being that I got a ride and wasn’t waiting in store.

This place is my new go-to for tires and I’ll be coming back when I need an oil change! You can’t beat these folks on price and the folks who work here are great. I came in shortly before closing with a flat (ran over a nail) and they had it fixed in no time for just $20. I had previously gotten a full set of tires with an alignment here for under $400. I had called around several places and Mavis beat the rest by over $100. They will also price match if you (somehow) find a lower price elsewhere!

The rude manager Angie needs to step away from her position. It should be given to Chris or Coby, the assistant managers. She does not have people skills. Very argumentative. Argumentative personality: are usually self-absorbed. They often find fault with everything or dont agree with anything you say. Phrases often used are: Youre wrong. No offense, but.An oil changed turned into a bigger issue that she was not agreeing to fix. As a mechanic myself, I saw a shop trying to take advantage of my younger sister. Trying to charge her 250+ for a coil pack and spark plug that costs $60 and $10. And I know where they source the parts. If I was not there to stand up for her, they would have made her pay that full inflated price. At the end, we still paid, because she needed transportation for work. It should have been fixed for free. Any well know dealership would have acknowledge the mistake and fixed it.

After contacting several tire shops trying to get a set of new ATV tires mounted on new rims and being declined; I called Mavis. Spoke to a gentleman who told me he would atleast try to see if his machine would safely mount them. I arrived at Mavis and was greeted by the front desk and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone. He looked at what I had and said he should be able to help. Long story short, I can’t say enough about the positive experience, professional staff, willingness to help and the care given to ensure my rims were not damaged in the process. Would def recommend this Mavis location to anyone in the area.

I am rating this Mavis at a 3 because I have used this location for months on my company vehicles.. which is going to have to change due to poor management and customer satisfaction.. I entered this location Tuesday May 18th, 2021 to get a tire replaced due to picking up a nail on the interstate. They offer me 2 tires, 1 Cooper tire at $169. And a Achilles tire at $129, I requested the Achilles tire to just get me by another month or 2 until the other 3 tires were ready to replace. Dave/David confirmed my information and tire i want and told me it would be ready the following morning around 9. I did not receive a call till 11 saying my tire is ready, went to the store and the woman at the front desk had no idea what I was picking up. She then goes in the back, returns to the desk and says the tire has not been installed yet, give us 30 minutes.. I had a coworker pick up the tire when it was ready and went to install the tire back onto the truck to find out the new tire only has 30 psi of air inside and now I need to add air myself.. which is not the issue.. the poor workmanship and job control has lost value in this location.. I will continue to use Mavis but not at this location. Id advise all who wants to visit this location to be wery when confirming what your needing and making sure they put air in a new tire. An extra $106 out of pocket, a new tire thats flat and now stranded at location of change out until I can get an air comperrsor

Darryl Lewis was so helpful and kind in determining what service my car needed. The price was exceptionally low compared to other repair shops and he got my car in right on time and the time factor to repair was excellent. Thank you so much. Came for a break job and after they were done they didn’t tighten the caliber up. Completely fell off and literally I could’ve died if I was on the highway. Unprofessional and they were to charge me for repairs that THEY WERE AT FAULT FOR. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

Woke up with a Flat on Valentines Day. Looked up to see who was open and Mavis was. Ive never been to Mavis before, but when I called I immediately was given a reservation code walked in and they were ready for me. I needed windshield wipers also with all the rain we were getting they were just worn out. My tail light was out from 2 days earlier. They were able to get me in and out with everything done in less than and hour.Valentines wasnt spent hours in a service center and there were others there who were also in and out!.

Don’t like leaving reviews that are bad but we went here twice in one day and they couldn’t find the leak in the tire. Then they left off our center cap on the rim and had to go back and get it. Ended up going to a local place down the street that was cheaper and they found the leak in 2 mins. Idk what they are doing but hope they figure it out, best of luck

I would NOT recommend this place. I came for a rear brake job that shouldve taken about an hour, I spent a total of 6 hours and 22 minutes waiting in the lobby. The people were kind and all, but it should NOT have taken that long!
