I had a great experience with Smith and Willis. Super responsive and followed up to make sure all was well.David spoke with me on the phone late Friday night. He listened to me telling him the problem. He gave me an idea in hopes that it would resolve itself. I thought this was nice because it would have avoided all charges including the urgent call charge. The problem, however, was more than my expertise. He came to the house Sunday morning and had to cut some PVC, clean it out, then put it back together. He explained in laymen terms what had happened and why it happened and what I can do periodically to avoid the problem. I appreciated how he was able to diagnose the problem quickly, explain it to me, fix it, and give me a way to maintain it myself in a doable fashion. If other problems arise with my AC or furnace, Ill be calling Smith and Willis. Thank you.
David did a thorough and highly professional service on our AC system. He corrected some original installation minor issues, and checked out the entire 2 unit AC system and thermostat operation. He also took the time to clearly explain best operating details. Would highly recommend Smith and Willis for all AC and Heating needs.
Monty McClure is an HVAC expert and extremely clear communicator. He educated us as homeowners on how to maintain and get optimum performance from our Bryant/Carrier system. Professional, upbeat, and efficient use of time! We’ll definitely call on Smith & Willis for future service and highly recommend them to others!
I didnt expect exceptional service... but it happened! My thermostat just up and quit on me and its less than 3 years old. I called for a service appointment and they answered the phone immediately, letting me know someone would be by the next day. She also let me know what the cost would be for coming by to diagnose the problem without a warranty, so I knew what to expect.Dave called the next day and let me know what time he would be here and was on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it in less than an hour.Great service all around and well worth the price.
Monte was absolutely fantastic. He arrived to my house and was extremely professional. Monte was able to fix my issue completely in a very short amount of time. He also was very informative and taught me a few tricks of the trade during the process. I highly recommend Monte to service your HVAC for any issue.
David came and checked on my furnace. He took the time to explain how to better utilize the thermostat, and explained the exterior ventilation. David was so polite and treated me so kindly even though I had a minimal level of knowledge about the system. He even extended my pvc piping as it was a bit short and causing some rust around my drain. Excellent service!!! I feel much more confident in understanding the basics now.
Super professional and friendly! The folks scheduling the service were amazing. After I scheduled my appointment, they even called me back and told me there was a cancellation and asked if I wanted to grab an earlier slot. Jim was the technician who fixed the furnace--he was terrific. Very knowledgeable and helpful. If I could give more stars, I would! Highly recommend!
David was amazing. His follow-up call and walk through was very helpful in fixing a blown fuse and ensuring my newly installed thermostat was efficiently working. Highly recommended as they have an emergency service to ensure your heating and cooling is up and running on the coldest or hottest of days.
Monte, the technician from Smith and Willis was outstanding. Was thorough, pleasant and knowledgeable. Took time to explain the nature of my furnace problem and what he was doing for my maintenance and tune up. Smith and Willis also previously installed a new air conditioning unit and humidifier. Did a great job.........highly recommend them.
Monte was awesome!!!! Went above and beyond to isolate a gas leak. Polite, competent and determined... couldn’t have been more reassured. I highly recommend this company.
We had a issue with the blower motor leaking oil from the sealed bearings. S&W was able to replace the motor under warranty as is was only 2-1/2 years old. Worked with Karrie to schedule and Frank the Service Manager on the warranty. Then Jim Currier, service technician came and did the work. Everyone at Smith and Willis we’re friendly, courteous, helpful and professional! Jim Currier was very nice and explained exactly what was needed and did the work very professionally. He’s a great technician! I highly recommend this company!!!
Called to have my furnace serviced with Smith & Willis. Scheduling was quick and easy, and availability was a few days out. Day of appt. they sent out Monte, he called 15 minutes before arrival and let me know he was on the way. Upon arrival, Monte was very professional and put on shoe covers and wore his mask without asking. I have two big dogs and that seemed to not bother him, so that was also great. He took care of business and was on his way. Everything went smoothly and checks out. I’d recommend Smith & Willis to anyone wanting outstanding customer service and professional technicians. Thanks. 👍🏻
David, our Smith & Willis technician, was very professional and courteous while working on our air conditioning units and gave us good advice on maintaining our units.
Both David H. and Monte M. come out to look at my furnace. David found the issue, resolved by repairing and ordering parts needed. Monty came out to install the new parts. I greatly appreciate their diligence and craftmanship. They were both professional, detail oriented, and customer centric. THANK YOU.
We purchased a whole-house humidifier from Smith & Willis. They came out yesterday to install it. James the installer was professional, on-time, and took plenty of time to explain everything to us. We definitely recommend them.
Monte did a great job! Great company to work with.
Our technician David H, responded quickly and was very professional. He exhibited a thorough knowledge of the system and was able to quickly diagnose the problem and subsequently complete the repair. He wasn’t called until the afternoon but he happily stayed late into the early evening get our system working. After staying late, he still took the time to educate us on the proper operation of the system.Very impressed. Quality service and exceptional professionalism. I highly recommend Smith and Willis especially because of our technician. Next time we need service I will call Smith & Willis and will specifically ask for David H.
David was very responsive and provided good, professional advice. He was able to diagnose and correct difficult and technical issues with our furnaces. He also followed up and appeared at the times and dates that he said that he would.
Our family recently moved here from South Carolina...two totally different, unfamiliar climates. Our A/C recently went out in our new home (considering our furniture truck had not arrived yet, we needed some relief!) so we called Smith & Willis in hopes of getting some guidance. Our service technician was Monte McClure - he exemplified the absolute best a company could want. Undoubtedly, a company is only as good as its people. In this case, Smith & Willis will win my business again!HVAC systems clearly run differently and require different maintenance in this arid/cooler climate compared to South Carolina so Monte was generous with his time in educating me with a tutorial of the different aspects of the furnace, A/C, humidifier, etc. He is engaging, affable, knowledgeable and communicates clearly...tremendous qualities to have representing a company. My wife and three young kids are quite happy!Monte- job well done and thanks again!
I had a leaky humidifier. Smith & Willis’ response was very quick. The service man, Monte, called ahead and arrived right on time. He was very personable and his expertise and knowledge were extremely helpful. I would highly recommend his services!
Very professional people who were very easy to deal with! Technicians arrived on time and were very courteous and cleaned up thoroughly when they were finished!
I have been working with Matt Willems for years now and he has always been nothing short of professional. Smith & Willis does a great job on time and on budget. Thanks!
We have used Smith and Willis in two of our homes for our furnaces and A/C. I can echo all of the things that others have said. The technicians were friendly, they didnt mind me standing there talking and asking questions. The communication with Frank and their office had no hinderances. I was able to reach out to Frank many months afterwards and ask him questions about how to turn devices on and off, the functionality and best settings for my home and for him to give me a reminder about filter changes. There may be issues that come up in the future with my equipment, that sort of thing happens, but I know that Ill reach out to them and they will get it fixed and resolved
This company sucks, brand new built home through D.R Horton with a brand new furnace with warranty, Furnace stop working 3 weeks ago and temperature are in the low 20s outside and 60 degree inside, they sent a technician (and wait for this they say he will be there between 10am-5:00pm) the technician comes in said he fixed the issue and that’s that. A week later the same thing happens (waking up to an inside temperature to of 60 degree it’s bad. Wearing gloves and hats to stay warm inside. Week 3 Wait for it. This is our coldest week of the year( temperatures are below 0, and yes furnace is not working. Called the office right at 8:00 am opening, their answering service picks up even though they should be already open. Rachael and Erica total clueless and incompetent at their job, no customers service skills, pointed to them that a technician needs to come ASAP and tat I will not be home the rest of the day and house temperature is 60 degrees and it’s freezing, they were rude and basically don’t care.I will be contacting DR Horton and other builder they have contract with and file a complaint with them along with BBB and other builders that.you should treat customers like this especially when DR Horton is doing business with you. What a shame :(
Monte was very professional and explained everything in great detail. You can tell he cares about his customers!
In my opinion…the best company in Colorado. I have been using their services for my personal needs and for my business needs for decades! Their sales department is awesome, specially Frank...never met anyone as professional as he is!!!Their service was always excellent as well...second to none! and the job was always done perfect and on time. Their pricing is very reasonable!I will continue to use them and I will continue to recommend their services to my friends, to my Rental Business and Real Estate clients!Ziggy K…..Parker Colorado
In June 2020 I bought a preexisting home. The installed furnace had a Smith&Willis sticker. As the home was recently built in 2014 I called them since I wanted to service from the company responsible for original installation. My concern was that every time furnace came on I noticed a slight smell while it ran. The initial home inspection before purchase 5 months earlier had indicated no furnace issues. While it smelled somewhat like smoke - something burning - it did not appear to be an emergency. I wanted it checked out over concerns about noxious gases potentially also being released.I called after hours the day before Thanksgiving. The after hours service took my name, number, and reason for calling. They passed it on to Smith & Willis. I got a call relatively quickly after Thanksgiving and they scheduled a time for service.David & Gage came to the house. They were professional in wearing foot covers and wearing masks. They were courteous and engaging. I explained my concerns prior to them starting their service work and David went into detail about some of the mechanics, technology, and fail safes that are part of the more modern furnaces. I then left them to their work. They completed work and then David and I reviewed what they had done as far as service. Generally it was a furnace clean and tune. David and Gage removed the blower housing, brushed off the heat exchanger and vacuumed the unit. They flushed the drain box, drilled out pressure port and cleaned the flame sensor. They tested for gas leaks, adjusted gas pressure, and increased blower speed from medium-low to medium high. Lastly tested CO in the airstream which met the levels to be considered normal. Final analysis - System running great. When they cleaned the heat exchanger David noted that there was some debris on it, likely from original home construction, that may have been responsible for the burning smell. As moderate level do-it-yourself individual I appreciated Davids process - listening to the reasons for initial service, completing the needed work AND doing a bit extra outside the scope of the initial service request, and then providing thorough explanations as to all work completed.I would recommend David and Gage for any HVAC related concerns. This was my first experience with David and Gage (for Smith and Willis), so as an extension, at this time, I can additionally recommend contacting Smith & Willis if you have a need for HVAC related services. As far as value for service is concerned, we all have our perceptions and basis for measuring the value exchange. I DID NOT price shop the services provided. I was willing to pay the companys going rate because I wanted service personnel from the company that originally installed the furnace. While I have not had to shop for furnace service for 5--7 years, the initial service call rate seemed a bit higher than what I expected for the market rate for general furnace clean and tune service calls. They also did some extras above the base service so again, I was fine with the value exchange, especially when it comes to assuring you do not have noxious gases coming from your furnace.
Our repairman David was here exactly when he said he would arrive. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the air conditioner and fixed it. David was polite, knowledgeable and professional. In todays day and age great customer service is hard to find. I highly recommend Smith & Willis Heating and Air Conditioning (ask for David).
David did an excellent job educating me on the issue that may have caused our AC unit to malfunction in our new build Remington home. Also shared maintenance best practices of our units. Its only been a week since he repaired the unit and its working great so far. THUMBS UP ON OVERALL EXPERIENCE!
Was able to come out on short notice and help get the heat going again. Highly recommend.
David H. was very thorough at testing my air flow. He set up each vent for optimal air flow, explained my system to me, and gave me some excellent advice. I am very thankful to have had him in my home today. I will definitely request him as my tech in the future.
Monte with Smith & Willis was very knowledgeable and professional tuning up our AC today! Weve used Smith & Willis many times over the years for our heating and AC needs. Weve found Smith & Willis able to fix any issues professionally and at a reasonable price. I can tell you who I do not recommend. I made a mistake and had a competitor here last week that offered a special to tune our AC and it seemed once they were here all they wanted to do was quote lots of expensive fixes. The competitors tune up missed a lot of tune up basics (did not clean filters). The competitor also incorrectly installed our NEST. Monte with Smith & Willis fixed the NEST and even showed me how to use it! Thank you Monte/Smith & Willis for a job well done!
After having Smith & Willis come out to inspect and discuss some issues that I have been experiencing with my AC, I cannot begin to describe how grateful I am to have someone experienced, professional, and honest to come out and help. Jim operated with the utmost integrity in making sure he understood our issues as well as discussing what he was doing, as well as the next steps. I will definitely be using Smith & Willis again for any of my HVAC needs. Thanks Jim!!
Jim was an excellent ambassador for Smith & Willis. He was on time, thorough, and took the time to explain what he was doing and why it was important. He truly is a five star representative. Jim Is the reason I will continue to use your company. Thank you Jim.
Would recommend Smith and Willis to all my friends and family! Used them numerous times and have received great quality of work. Service techs are always on time and very professional.
I was having a problem with my AC not working properly. I contacted Smith & Willis who installed the AC unit. They were very prompt and worked with my schedule. David H. was the technician who was assigned to handle my problem. He took the time to explain every phase of the process as it was happening. He found the source of my problem. It was an instant fix. He also took time to review how my thermostat works. David was very helpful in the resolution of my problem.
We just bought a house and could not figure out why our AC wasn’t working. Monte from Smith & Willis was very helpful and informative. He fixed our AC and was great with communication and pricing up front. Super happy!
David was so great - he is very informative and knows his job and does a great job!! He even gave us tips on how to keep the upstairs cooler - all his advice has been great and spot on! I highly recommend him!
This 5 star review is for Jim! I have a new build (the builder is TERRIBLE and did a horrible job on the ventilation and duct work) and Jim has come over several times. Hes professional and always helps me solve whatever random issue Im having, which has been a lot with this new house and things not being done properly. Hes able to troubleshoot and identify the issue quickly and effectively! Thanks Jim! Youre awesome!!
My experience with this Company, the technician Mike, and the office rep. Rachel were excellent from start to finish. Rachel followed up on my initial call immediately and Mike was so thorough in walking me thru the problems with my furnace, and on second call to my house my air conditioning. I would recommend Smith & Willis to anyone.
David and Brodi did an excellent job in servicing our AC and furnace. From the call ahead to inform on arrival time o the communication during the time on-site, both were professional, on-point with the service, and informative of service details. Excellent job and would highly recommend to others!
Monte was the specialist. He did a great job. Fast and much cheaper than other estimates. I would definitely use and refer them again.
Had a malfunctioning A/C system on a new build home. David came out and was the consummate professional. He showed up early, had all the equipment needed. David conducted a few tests and within 15 minutes had diagnosed the issue and had the system up an running. Youll need to clone this guy! What a great experience! Thanks David!!
David & Brodi came and took care of A/C airflow issues. They even took extra time to explain and gave me pointers on what else I can do to cool the house. Great guys and friendly!
David H. came out and checked out our system. He showed how to use it more efficiently and it now runs much better. He did a great job.
We just had Smith and Willis service our HVAC’s. The service was Outstanding and very professional. David was extremely efficient, professional and helpful with all our concerns. A+
We really appreciated how dedicated and thorough Monte (the technician) was in diagnosing the problem with our air conditioning. He took his time to fix it completely even though this pushed him into working later into the evening to meet the needs of other customers that were scheduled for that same day. We know that this cut into his schedule but he never showed frustration and actually seemed to enjoy the challenge of figuring out the complexities of the problem. Thanks Monte and Smith & Willis Heating& Air Conditioning!
I had an emergency where my thermostat was not working and I had no heat. Monte from the company was at my house within an hour of me calling the company. He was great. He fixed the problem within minutes. He also showed me different things on the thermostat as well as programming the thermostat so that my unit would work more efficiently.
David came and full filled a warranty issue on our new build A/C. He was efficient, friendly, had a sense of humor and took care of scheduling a follow up appointment too. We appreciated that!
Tried calling a few companies & put off for a week. However Smith & Willis was able to slot me in 2 days. Diagnosed problem & gave me options on solving. Monte completed work in just under a couple hours and took some time to makes sure synced with phone app. It’s been a week & knock on wood everything is working smoothly. 👍
We called and had a tech out the same day. Monte showed up and not only answered all of our questions, he took the time to explain everything he was doing and what measures we could take to keep our system running smooth. Thank you very much Monte and team!!!!
I have been experiencing issues with our upstairs A/C unit since we moved in. Each year, the pipe freeze, and when the technicians respond, the reading are all over the place. Four years later and after a new coil system is replaced, we got frozen pipes again and the unit was shutting off due to high pressure. David and Brodi responded today and they were beyond outstanding. David replaced the coil system, again. Cleared the line, replaced about everything that could be replaced and injected new refrigerant. I was blow away, they did everything they could and were friendly and professional. David and Brodi of Smith and Willis, BRAVO!!I must also say, Katherine, with Smith & Willis Customer Service was so professional and friendly and genuinely cared about our on-going A/C issue - Thank You!!
Trevor was knowledgeable and friendly. Arrived promptly at the beginning of the 4hr window, which was nice. He was thorough and explained the results to me clearly. Would definitely recommend.
David and Brad were super helpful and informative. Showed up on time and took time to make sure we knew everything about how to make our AC operate properly.
We had a fantastic experience with Smith and Willis and will definitely use them again! Woke up to find our furnace was not running. They sent techs out the same day. David and Brodi identified the issue within a few minutes and had the repair done quickly afterwards. I will definitely use them again when I need heat or a/c service!
My wife and I bought our new home last year and was not receiving proper air flow in the front guest bed room that was always freezing during the winter time around 10 – 15 degrees difference. Our 1 year warranty was about to expire and a service call was scheduled.Technician David H. from Smith & Willis was dispatched and arrived during the appointment time scheduled and listen to us about the issue that we have been asking about for nearly a year why is that room colder than any other part of the home. This is when he went above and beyond to resolve the issue to get air flow moving thru the vents rather it was heat or air conditioning keeping in mind it was extremely hot inside the attic when checking the amount of installation for the room… the point is everything is working thanks to him knowing what he needed to do and resolved an ongoing issue that was not going to get any better.Thank you David H. from Smith & WillisHarvie & Diane
This company installed 4 ductless air conditioning units over the course of 3 years at different locations. Everything has turned out great post installation.
Trevor arrived promptly per my request for an emergency visit during the Covid-19 pandemic. He respectfully wore a mask, gloves and shoe coverings. He efficiently determined the source of the problem, replaced the defective part, made other adjustments to improve settings and stayed untilwe were certain the problem was correctly resolved. Thank you Trevor!
Monte was excellent. Not only fixed my AC issue, he showed me what kind of maintenance to do to prevent it from happening in the future.
Great service, had a freeze, tech(Monte) was super professional.
David H came and completed some warranty work on my air conditioner units. He was prompt, efficient, and even went above and beyond by sealing exterior pipes that a plumber missed.
I am a Denver GC and I have been using Smith and Willis HVAC for many years and have always had a good experience. My rep. Frank, is incredibly knowledgeable and takes what he does seriously. As a GC he is an amazing asset for me with my homeowner clients because of his knowledge, patience and ability to communicate with my homeowners. I would recommend them to anyone and do!
Monte came to do a deep-clean on our furnace yesterday, and we couldnt be happier with his expertise, thoroughness and care. This is what everyone hopes for when they need a heating specialist, Kudos!
Drivers are absolutely insane! Doing literally 90 on I-25 & cut off two semi trucks WAY too close. White F-150 with a ratty blue tail gait & junk piled up in his back window. I’ll remember this company & won’t ever hire their services.
Monte was the best and most professional service tech who knew exactly what the system needed to work properly and took the time to help me connect the thermostat to my WiFi and understand my programs ! I highly recommend!
Our A/C wasnt working upstairs and David H did an amazing job getting it fixed! He was very professional and I would highly recommend him!
Been working with Frank and others at Smith & Willis for over 15 years, Never a problem. thank you,
David and Brodi diagnosed our furnace problem in a matter of minutes, the faulty part was replaced quickly. Our furnaces was then cleaned and serviced along with filter replacements. While Brodi serviced the furnace David was kind enough to install our new Nest thermostat. Great job thanks for the heat.
They installed my central air conditioning and furnace. I needed servicing today because a pump quit working to pump the water from the coils partially flooding my basement floor. When I called, they told me they only install new construction and they dont service their equipment they installed! Really!? They told me to call a reputable service company to fix my problem. What!? Why did I spend over $18K with you folks, and you dont service the HVAC that you installed? If I only would have known! Buyers be aware!
As referred to by friends, my brother in law requested services from Smith & Willis to come out and assess the problems with his furnace. Jimmie arrived promptly and we were greeted with a friendly smile. Jimmie took the time to evaluate and troubleshoot the problem, and discovered that the furnace had a bad high limit switch. In addition, he cleaned the filter, the evaporation coil and reduced the gas pressure. What a relief it was to hear that, that was all that it needed. He also reported no gas leaks or carbon monoxide leaks. You see, we had a prior service appointment with PRECISION AIR, who after only a few minutes, reported gas leaks and carbon monoxide leaks (but provided no evidence of this) and then we were told we needed a whole new heating system, and we received quotes of $3500-$7100. I really appreciate the integrity and honesty that Smith & Willis stand by. I am proud to write this on behalf of my brother in law. How dare any company take advantage of people, shame on you PRECISION AIR, especially since my brother in law is battling cancer and every dollar counts right now as well as reducing any stress in his life. Much gratitude to you, Jimmy Holton, and may the Lord bless you in return for upholding Gods standards not only in your personal life but in the work place as well. We feel so much better now knowing that our home is safe and warm as we go through this difficult time together. God Bless You.
Easy to work with great at what they do
We have a brand new home from DR Horton and they installed our 2 air conditioners. We moved into the home in Dec and when we 1st turned on the air conditioner that 1st summer the upstairs air conditioner was not working we put in a repair request due to our home still being under warranty they just added some more coolant. Now 2 years later we find out that the coil is defective and was from install. They refused to even come and look at it. $2,000 to replace the coil on a 2 year old home, when most air conditioner have a 10 year warranty. Do not use this company or buy a home from D.R Horton a complete money pit.
They installed my furnace 9 years ago and I had issues with it this week so I looked at my warranty and it said I had a 10 year warranty on it. So I gave them a call and told me the warranty was non transferable and they were extreme rude. Then I called cool comfort who actually looked into it for me and they said that it was never registered. So apparently smith and Willis never registered it for me when they installed it which voided the warranty! They then told me it was the responsibility of the home owner to do so which I was told specifically by trane (the furnace’s brand) that the installer is the one to do so. They also told me there is a $25 fee to transfer the warranty. So they are a bad company to buy anything from!! I am extremely disappointed!
Dave and Brodi fixed our HVAC system which was super noisy, they showed up on time and did a very thorough job.
We just moved into a brand new house and the fan was already malfunctioning day 3. So first the positives, the company was able to make an appointment within 3-4 days of me calling. When the guy showed up he was able to find and fix the issue within five minutes. The reason why I gave them only two stars is because when he was cleaning out the fan, apparently he just dumped a bunch of drywall and bugs into our toilet AND left it there! We had a guest come over an hour later and it was extremely embarrassing when they said “ummm you have bugs in your toilet”. How hard is it to first of all, put the bugs in some toilet paper and throw it in the garbage can right next to the toilet? and second, why can’t you carry around a mini broom and dust pan to clean up whatever mess they make at a customers house? You can literally buy them at the dollar store. Ugh!
Their work is completely garbage, got a new home from Lennar and every night I hear popping noise from the HVAC system. They have tried to fix it like 5 times and every time they fail, now theyre saying its perfectly normal. Even their own tech that came out said theres probably a tear or something jacked up with the system and told me to call a duct cleaning company and see if they can send a camera to look for tears. Wouldnt trust them near any furnace. Potential customers BEWARE
David and Brodi were great!
I wouldnt hire them to change the furnace filter. Their installation of my HVAC system in my DR Horton home was less than shoddy. For example: 1)The refrigerant line hangers made out of rolled up tape. 2) Glued pipe joints that leak so bad water (condensation) drips onto the floor. Exhaust pipe rubber couplings that werent tight causing water to leak into the furnace and cause rust. Just a few of the issues. When I spoke with Ike Willis (owner) he reviewed the photos I sent him and initially told me his company completed the installation as per code and the builders standards. He then switched his position and suggested I submit a warranty claim with DR Horton so they could pay him to fix everything. Which is it? Theres nothing wrong or its a warranty issue. Im confused.Ike Willis has never offered to come out and look at my HVAC system unless there was $ in it for him / his company.
Great company. Professional and prompt.
After countless requests with the builder of my home to come out personally to hear the NOISE with my condensing unit because the techs @ Smith & Willis claimed the NOISE was within the SPECS I finally had Jim (Supervisor) with S&W check with a decibel meter and found it faulty. They replaced the defective unit and I am very content. Jim and Amy at the office were amazing.Thank you.
I have used this company several times and they are the best.
Times were mixed up, but when they got here they did a good job. Mike was my service guy in Wheat Ridge, he was fast and professional. 2 service calls, both times they did a good job.
The installer was very professional and did a excellent job installing our furance. I would recommend this company to everyone. It was done in a timely and professional mannor. Robert was our installer.
Smith and Willis is a great HVAC company. They were professional and did an excellent job on our HVAC system
The company that originally installed my Trane heating and air conditioning system went out of business. A few years ago I looked at the Trane web site for an authorized dealer. Found Smith & Willis. Had a technician (who has since left their company) come out and go through the whole system, cleaning, inspecting. Expensive (around $900) but he did a great job. Had hail damage a couple of weeks ago and the top of my outdoor heat pump was damaged. Homeowners insurance will pay. Called Smith & Willis and found out that they no longer service HVAC systems. Apparently they found it more lucrative to just do new installations, no maintenance and repairs. I feel abandoned!! Need to now start over at the Trane web site. Not happy!
2 months out of warranty of 2 new HVAC systems athat are not working. Said they are two busy and not even willing to come out.
They were on time, their employees were very friendly, and they gave me a great price on my furnace install. Highly recommend!
By far the worst HVAC company I have ever dealt with. Brand new home with more issues than I can list here. Installation job is so poor it looks like a 4 year old completed it; holes, dents, and leaks everywhere. Ive had about 10 different people here to try and fix the various problems. They often no-show to appointments, or just show up unannounced. Communication is extremely poor from scheduling to the management to the technicians. Many broken commitments and promises and they often just dont return phone calls. Very unprofessional and the most sub-par HVAC work Ive seen in 20 years of working in homes.
My heating and air guy is the greatest. Thanks for everything you all do!
Called S&W on a Saturday because they installed the HVAC system on my 2.5 year old house - no afterhours availability wait till Monday for someone to call me. I called at 8am and was told they were having system issues and someone would call me. I called at 11am and was told that the system was still only sporadically working and someone would call me asap. Finally called again at 2pm, and was told that the earliest they could get out to look at my HVAC was a month out! With any honesty at all, at any point, I would have gone with a different company immediately. The absolute worst customer service, the individual on the phone wanted to argue and correct me at all costs rather than make any attempt to find a solution or help me in any way. I had to mark a star to post my comment but do not be fooled they did not earn a single star.ZERO STARs since they did nothing at all other than leave me with false hope of getting my HVAC fixed. I will share my experience with New Town Builders who used this company to install a system that didnt even run for 3 years without breaking and who would not be bothered to fix it.
0 out of 5. Smith and willis, This company sent highly untrained employees to my home multiple times. Completely unsatisfied with work and management. Management none, given the run around so many times had to call a true reliable company. A properly ran company took care of all my needs. My neighbors and I voided our warranties, to get the performance promised by our so called HVAC company (smith and willis). My experiences had truly made me think of the level of workmanship embraced by DR HORTON. I advise anyone who purchased a DR HORTON home to get there system checked by a certified professional, to see the terrible workmanship approved by DR HORTON. Home owners association is currently getting statements and independent inspectors to only further prove the lack of workmanship by smith and willis.
We purchased a large house with a 6 Zone AC system in the Columbine area of Littleton. Our air conditioner went out and not knowing anyone else, I ended up contacting Smith & Willis. They came out and replaced the existing unit with a new air conditioner and for months afterward we had nothing but problems with lack of ability to cool our house and frequent freeze ups. After multiple visits and issues, I ended up contacting a couple other AC businesses and inquiring about the problems. I was told repeatedly that anyone in the AC business should know that you never should install a single stage AC unit with a multiple zone system. They said you should always have a two stage unit.Luckily I had purchased our system on an American Express Gold Card. At this point, I called and reversed the charge with Amex. Over the next 8 months, this got Smith & Williss attention and eventually they came back out and replaced the unit with a 2 stage Bryant AC unit. At this point, I paid them (approx $7000 in total) and had no issues for the next 14 months. This past week, the Bryant two stage AC unit (which was supposedly new) has failed and I contacted Smith & Williss service department on Thursday. The lady answering tells me they are booked and cant send anyone out till the following Thursday. I ask for a manager and she tells me it wont matter who I talk to, everyone is booked right now. I promptly hang up and contact Littleton Heating and Air who comes out same day. They first tell me that the unit has been installed far too close to our house on two sides for adequate ventilation and consequently has gotten plugged up with debris. Next, they diagnose that the unit went into thermal lockout due to over exertion of the fan motor because of improper installation and ultimately this led to the fan going out on a 1 year old unit. Lttn HVAC said they could order a new fan motor and have it in this coming Monday. Of course the fan motor itself is warrantied by Bryant, but Lttn HVACs labor charges are not. I decided to go ahead with Lttn HVAC even though labor was supposed to be covered by Smith & Willis for 3 years.Be forewarned - Smith & Willis is incompetent for anything but cheap new construction jobs and it will cost you in the long run if you use them. The repair man from Lttn HVAC even told me hed heard rumors they were installing refurbished equipment on jobs that were being advertised and sold as new.
We were driving on Rosemary st. In commerce city and one of their drivers pulled out in a Simi and didnt bother to look. Damn near hit us. Flipped us off and just kept going. This is dangerous. Something needs to be done.
This company will sell you new equipment but they will not survive it. Be warned, going cheap with these guys will cost you more in the end.
If I could give less then one star I would. I called for service and they refused to help me because they said they dont work with the public anymore. They are the ones that did the install and we were told by our warranty representative to go through them for service. Very disappointed!!!!!
Very professional install. I will definetly use them again in the future.
Monty is awesome .
Thanks Monty!
