I have never in my life been to a dentist office that is so well run and inviting! Not only is the office immaculate but the doctors are amazing as well. For someone who has a lot of anxiety visiting the dentist I can say that I felt totally comfortable at Dr Helfners office. Highly recommend to anyone!

My mother woke up with pain and her usual dentist was closed and is about a half an hour away. Called this office and they got us right in. Everyone was so helpful and the office was so clean and nice. My mothers memory is failing but they were so patient in explaining and repeating what needed to be done. We had such a great experience that we will continue her care there.

This dentist office has always been top-notch! I’ve been a client of Dr. HELFNER for more than 20 years. Are the dentists on the hygienists are all the best. Of course just like everyone, I have my favorites however, when the appointment I need doesn’t coincide with my favorite, my experience has always still been nothing less than wonderful. ❤️

Awesome cleanings by Lindsey and Sarah, they both make me feel comfortable everytime. Its a bonus to be able to watch TV with headphones on during treatment.

I have had to do serious repairs with another dentist because of the work Bonnie Helfner has done on me. I have had pain in one tooth ever since one of her fillings 6 years ago and am finally getting it fixed today by another dentist. He said the filling was never properly aligned with my tooth which is why I felt pain every time I tried to chew with it. I am not the only person she has done bad work on. My friend had a horrible experience where she damaged his nerve. My current dentist also said that I havent had a cavity since coming to him (I used to have 1-2 every visit with Helfner) and he said sometimes dentist make up fake cavities to get more money out of you. I would never recommend her services to anyone. In fact, use this as your warning. Avoid years of pain by just choosing another doctor.

I grew up seeing Dr. Helfner and was convinced she was doing great work until I got a dentist closer to my current residence who has taken on the task of fixing all of her mistakes- a process that has taken him a great deal of time and cost me a great deal of money. Dr. Helfner is mediocre at best. Go somewhere else for your work.

I went for my first visit yesterday . The pandemic procedures in place are top notch and I felt very safe . The staff from front desk to the dentist are so pleasant. Helen the hygienist was phenomenal !

I had a wonderful experience during my first visit this week! Very friendly & nice atmosphere. They make you feel very comfortable & they are taking every precaution to ensure everyone’s safety. The hygienist Helen was very professional and she explained everything she was doing as she went. Their work is absolutely top-notch. Theyre very efficient and will do their very best to work with you.

Every time I go to this office I am also so impressed with the friendliness and care, not by one or two people but by many. Always having a nice conversation. Personally I Dont like going to the dentist (who does?) but before during and after they make it much easier. Truly an Awesome group of people. This blueprint should be used by many companies.

I cant say enough nice things about everyone in the office. The whole staff is so professional, friendly, and welcoming! I am comfortable in the dentists chair, but if you are someone that gets nervous, I recommend you get to know this office. There are TVs (with the option for headphones) in the rooms if you need a distraction and all the dentists, hygienists, and assistants will talk you through everything.Sarah performed my cleaning and she was more informative than some dentist I have met in the past.

I have so many nice things to say about this practice! As a nervous dental patient, I can say everyone puts you at ease. The office is spotless and uncluttered. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Helfner and her team work together seemlessly ...they take the time to explain, prioritize and plan. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes ... very efficient and always a pleasant experience. I truly believe I am getting the best dental care!

Hey - I love this place - I enjoy going after work- quick stop in waiting room with coffee and a crazy awesome fish tank. Ive got ESPN on in a comfortable chair while getting my teeth cleaned painlessly! I highly recommend this office for all! Flexible family scheduling too

Everyone working here was so pleasant, kind, and welcoming. The office is the most clean and beautiful office I have ever seen. I love the aquarium in the waiting room too. Complimentary water, coffee, and tea is a plus. Ive never liked going to the dentist but I dont mind going here!

Dr. Helfner, Dr. Curro, and Dr. Rodrigues are all excellent, I highly recommend this practice.

I went in to see Bonnie after having a bad experience at another dentist. Bonnie was extremely, caring and competent. She took time addressing all of my concerns and did a fantastic and thankfully quick job! I cant recommend Bonnie and her staff highly enough.

Bonnie Helfner DDS is the best dental office!! You walk in and are greeted by a kind and friendly receptionist. In the waiting room are games for kids and puzzles and magazines and of course there is tv and wifi. The staff is so professional!! I love my hygienists, Sarah and Helen who always do a thorough cleaning and make sure my needs are met. They ask me how Im doing and ease all my anxiety. They do the same for my kids!! Dr. Helfner is awesome and so is everyone else in this office!! They treat you with respect and kindness from the beginning to the end of your visit and you always leave with a smile on your face!!I highly recommend them and my kids recommend highly recommend them for all kids and adults and for all kids with special needs!! Looked up a review for the best dentists on Long Island, and came across Bonnie as a top rated dentist for a few years (2014-2017). I was able to book my first appointment today. All the staff are beyond friendly, and knowledgable. I was shown around the office (dentist first), and then proceeded to visit with my hygienist, Helen. A very pleasant experience overall, given that I havent seen a dentist in over 5 years.Thank you Dr. Helfner. I will be coming back shortly.

Very pleasant experience - It was my first visit after I had to switch providers. The office, staff, and doctors were all very professional and nice. I had a great experience, specially getting my cleaning done. I had made my appt. a couple of months in advance and one reason for such a wait time was that Dr. Helfner was busy. So when I got my cleaning done and it was time to have the doctor do her check, another doctor showed up. Did not mention why she was seeing me instead of Dr. Helfner, nothing. She did a great job, no question. It was surprising to me that after all that wait time to see Dr. Helfner, someone else filled in. Afterwards Dr. Helfner came to see me and shock hands and greeted me to their office. All good.

Dr. Curro and the team at Bonnie Helfner, DDS in Commack, NY are the best. I travel close to an hour to go to their office. Dr. Curro takes the time to explain things and address any concerns or possible issues. She also is the best at easing any anxiety and/or fear you may have about the dentist. When i first saw her the amount of work I needed was overwhelming, but however she helped create a plan for treatment over the course of time, focusing on what was most problematic first, and got my teeth healthy to a healthy pain free place again. After cavities, root canals, and even extractions i am smiling again. I can not thank her and her team enough.

I dont know anyone who likes scheduling an appointment with their Dentist. I was one of those types who dreaded the thought of going to the dentist for what felt like a torture treatment - that is until I discovered Long Islands best kept secret when it comes to dental care and bi-annual cleanings. By word of mouth one day (no puns intended) I was discussing my dental fears, actually my dental phobia, with a co-worker. She immediately related to my apphehensions since she once shared all the same dental aversions I was experiencing. My co-worker had a whole new outlook immediately after ridding her previous dentist and became one of Dr. Helfner and Dr. Curro patients. She had nothing but favorable things to say about these two fabulous dentists, all the dental hygienists and the entire administrative staff. I thought that her stories may have been exaggerated a tad until I went to Dr. Helfner for my initial visit. I was instantly enamored with the first-class care and thorough cleaning I received. She is extremely caring, kind, considerate, and very familiar with all of the latest computer-based dental technology. The team at Dr. Helfners office is outstanding. Doreen always makes me feel comfortable in the chair, and Kim creates a warm and welcoming environment in the office. Upon entering the state-of-the-art office, you are met with a smile by Lori, Kerrie, Dawn, Rosa and Kelly, who possess warm and friendly demeanors. Ive had cleanings by all 3 hygienists, Helen, Sarah & Allison, and each one is caring and very sensitive to my needs. Dr. Helfner and Dr. Curro are the most caring dentists around. The office is state of the art and always clean. They have wifi in the building and they have a lounge area stocked with complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea. The hygienists have been cleaning my teeth for over 7 years and Im always treated kindly and listened to when I have a question or a concern. Everyone that works at the front desk is kind and accommodating. My whole family uses Dr. Helfner and Dr. Curro and we would highly recommend this dental practice.
