Best nail salon around! I have been going to Essence Nails for about 3 years now. I used to live in Commack but moved to West Islip two years ago and still make the drive to get my nails done. Well worth the travel. The staff is very professional. The owner is one of the nicest people. It is super clean. I usually use Clara and Helen but all of the staff are very good!

I have been a regular here for the past couple of years. They have always been reliable and most importantly, clean! I also feel incredibly safe and comfortable here as they follow covid protocols to the tee.

They have all the latest colors.

I have never felt so rushed while having my nails done. I went because this place was recommended and I am so disappointed and angry. I left with wet nails, no drying polish was put on, when I went outside some type of spray was used but only sprayed on 2 nails. All I was told was be careful. I understand precautions must be taken but when I was there it was myself and 2 other guests. What a waste of money. How do you send customers out with wet nails to be ruined. Not only wont I be going back but I will not be recommending this place.

They are so nice! I took my mom there and she would always smile after being there. When my mom passed, all the girls were so nice and gave me their heartfelt condolences. They are a very special group of people 💕

Fast & Great Service!My friend and I walked in exactly at 6pm & we were out with fancy gel nails by 6:51pm. They also gave us cute fingerless gloves for the winter.

The worst, most unethical nail salon ever! Very rude!!They quoted me a price on the phone of $30 so I made the appointment.They charged me $55 and told me that I misunderstood. I was totally ripped off!When I tried to talk to her, she just kept yelling good-bye, good-bye.I have never paid more than $35 for this service and would definitely have not made an appointment for $55.I would not recommend this place unless you like to be cheated and treated like trash.

Ive been coming here for 3 years and LOVE IT!! They do a great job and may be a little more costly than other salons but TOTALLY worth every penny. Spa pedicures are TOP NOTCH

Gave me the cutest christmas nails I couldve ever asked for! She did a snowman on my ring finger with a beautiful red she recommended. Super nice, putting a heating pad on my back as I sat to get my nails filled in, girl who did my nails always asked me what I preferred and talked to me casually and they gave me a christmas gift of gloves! Definitely making this my new place 100% would recommend to my friends!

So I just left Essence Nails salon next to meat farms and I am beyond unhappy with the service I received today. I got a fill in for my gel tips and when the owner started my nails she told me to get a dark color to cover up my old French and get the French next time because it wouldnt look good. I said okay but made it clear that I really did want the French and quietly agreed when she picked out a color she liked and I thought was pretty. My nail tech was Tina and she was amazing and super sweet but once she put the first coat on one of my hands I realized I really didnt like the color. So I asked if we could just do the French because I wasnt happy with the way the color looked with my skin and just in general. She said we wouldnt have time so I said I could come back tomorrow. She then told me the owner said I would have to come back and spend $25 to have them changed after I had already spent $70 today and hundreds since theyve opened. I was quite upset and left and shortly returned after to speak with the owner myself. She told me she was giving me a discount by having me pay $25 instead of $35 to get them fixed and I began to explain why I was upset and didnt understand why she was going to charge me to fix something I really didnt like. We began to argue because she insisted I only spent $60 on my nails and because I spent $10 on the massage I received that there was no reason why she shouldnt t charge me. I was so appalled and then stated that shes the one who continued to tell me earlier that getting French wouldnt look good and to get a color. Thats when she called me a liar and continued to tell me if I want them fixed I need to pay. Im so beyond upset right now! I hate the way this color looks and cannot believe that this business owner cares so little for her customers that she would act the way she did and then attempt to blame me for being unhappy with her service. I will definitely never be going here again especially since Ive given them multiple chances even when Ive heard and seen so many issues occur here. So upset. I hope nobody else has to ever experience this.

While the place is pretty the pedicure was not much more than a foot washing and nail polish application. My toenails were not cut properly and I had to point it out to the girl twice before she asked you want me to fix? All the toenails are cut all different shapes, with a few having sharp edges. She was unable feel them because of the gloves she was wearing.I went at the end of the day so I was left on my own to take the paper out from between my toes because they were too busy cleaning. when she saw this she came over started helping...I wish she had taken off her dirty cleaning gloves she had on before she touched me. I am srverely disappointed in the lack of customer care.

Worst uv gel nail manicure I have ever had! I was from out of town. Had my nails done on a Monday. Came back the following day (Tuesday) because the nails were cracking! They half ass fixed my nails. The very next day they cracked again. Then the following day the first nail broke. The next day the 2nd nail broke. I called to ask for a refund they said no refunds. My bank took care of the rest! They are using cheap amazon supplies that do not work! I have never in my adult life had such a horrible manicure in my life! Do Not Get Their Gel Manicure unless you want to pay $100 for them to crack the very next day or come off the same week after they tell you they should be good for 2 weeks! Waste of money & time!

Nails chipped after 12 hours! The polish was low so she did add a solution to the polish bottle. Going back today first thing see what happens.
