I contacted Russell Landscape Services to get a quote on taking a tree down. They were very quick to respond and were thorough in explaining the process. Within 3 days they had someone out to our house to access. The next day I received an email with the price and explanation of what needed to be done. Unfortunately, the cost was out of our range as its a 60 ft tree and we had NO idea what it costs to take down. I received an email back with a referral from Russell himself of another company that might be cheaper but still quality. This is huge. They apologized and spoke highly of this other company in regards to our needing a little cheaper price tag. It is all of these things that will definitely cause us to go back to Russell Landscape in the future. I highly recommend them!

We had an emergency tree removal situation after a recent bad storm and needed to remove multiple foot trees quickly after one landed on a fence. I can’t say enough positive things about the entire experience, they were amazing.I have owned my home for nearly a decade and have always taken care of the outdoors myself however after renting the house out for a year and returning back to Columbus the outdoors were in terrible condition. The plants/trees where over grown, beds lost their definition and there were weeds everywhere. My wife and I had just had a baby and it was an overwhelming thought to attack this all myself.Typically I significantly prefer to do things myself, learn, get better and save money. I also dislike working with vendors as they often don’t have the respect for the property that you have, are undertrained and/or over priced and do not respect your time. Not Russel’s!! They were professional, prompt, attentive, communicated very clearly prior to arriving and were pros at what they did. They did a better job than anything I could have ever done in 1/3 of the time.I thought this would be the only time I would hire them but with my recent experience they will now be a regular at our home.

Russell Landscape got rid of my old concrete patio and replaced it with great looking pavers. They were extremely professional and organized. Their office manager is on the ball! Great value and craftsmanship. When my internet cable was accidentally cut, they went out and grabbed a cable and fixed the problem themselves.

We had leaking in our foundation wall of our lower level and hired Russell Landscape services to evaluate. We initially reached out believing we needed just some regrading in the corner of our property to redirect water away from the house.They proposed putting in a new downspout line, a catch basin, and re-grading, and re-seeding the property around the corner of the house and we agreed to the suggestions. They put in the new drain line and catch basin but did not smooth out the dirt and re-grade after doing so. This left a depression directly next to the foundation wall. Over the next 3 weeks, they didnt return and this hole grew.The next heavy rain we ended up with much more than the leaking. The lower level flooded with a quarter inch of standing water in the lower level, destroying $2,000 worth of flooring.This was the first time we had standing water in the lower level since we have owned the house. Prior to the work we only had the seepage in the one corner of the room. Even after they came out, added dirt and re-graded, the solution proposed essentially did not solve our problem.Additionally, communication could be improved dramatically. They would call and give us notice that they were coming out sometime in the week but we never received any follow up after the completed the work. No explanation of what they found, what work they completed and what the next steps would be. Our initial drain was put in in early March. The seeding wasnt finished until the second week in June. When they came out and seeded the property again, no follow up instructions - we had to reach out and ask about care instructions - how frequently to water the seed etc.

Although we ended up going with another option for our needs, Russell Landscapings representatives were extremely professional and timely when we reached out to them! Great customer service.

Weve battled a yard that has always been soggy and wet for years, weve tried on our own to get a handle on it but it became clear that the issue was beyond our capabilities. We researched companies and after meeting with a few, to include Russell Landscape Services, it was clear why they are so highly recommended. Russ is who came out and met with us, he took the time to really listen to what our problems were, he asked questions that other companies did not and in turn came up with solutions that made sense. I can admit that I had a lot of questions and between the wonderful ladies in the office and Russ they were really patient in answering them all for me. The day of my project the workers arrived on time and it was clear they have this down to a science and know what they are doing! They cleaned up nicely behind them and were careful with the machines on my yard which I was appreciative of. Our yard FINALLY is dry and we can use our yard like it should be used and not as a pond. :) Im really glad we chose Russell Landscape!!!

Russell Landscape has been such a blessing to our church. In the winter, the lot is always plowed and safe to walk on. We have a huge parking lot, too! And, in the summer, the lawn is lush and well-kept. Again, the area is quite large, so I know they have a lot to keep up with. I am just so glad to know that our congregation and our visitors will be able to come and go safely in the winter and enjoy our beautiful grounds in the summer. As part of the host ministry team, its important to me that everyone should feel welcome and comfortable in our church. I think a company like this should be commended for their, honesty, integrity, and dedication to their clients. We really appreciate it!

A pleasant experience from our initial phone call (very kind and informative), the estimate (honest and professional) all communications, to the completion of the job. Everything as promised. No surprises! The two young men who showed up to complete the work were polite, respectful and accommodating. These folks do great work. We consistently had water in our basement after heavy rains. We wanted to start with exterior rather than interior work. They put french drains into the yard in Fall of 18 to divert water to the storm drains. Our basement has been bone dry ever since. We had some settling of the landscaping over the winter due to all the rain weve had, and they just came back out to regrade and pretty everything up, no questions asked. Russ, the owner+operator, is very responsive to email and on the phone. Very straightforward and honest about what they can and cant do, all at a reasonable price. We would definitely use them again for other landscaping needs.

We had Russell Landscape Services build a retaining wall for us. They were very knowledgeable and were able to provide excellent recommendations. The guys that work for Russell Landscape Services are very polite and always cleaned up after themselves. We also had then aerate our lawn and they cleaned up all the mess that others leave behind after finishing the job. Their prices are quite reasonable and we would use them again for work in the future.

We are very pleased with the Russell Landscape crew and the work they did around our home. We had a large tree needing removed. I was a bit nervous as it was close to our house but quickly realized, I didnt need to be nervous because these guys are good! They got the tree down safely and cleaned up behind themselves, which is important to us. They also did drainage work for us and we are really happy with the solutions Russ had for our standing water issues!

We recently moved into a new home and the yard needed some much needed clean-up that we just couldnt tackle ourselves. I reached out to 7 different local companies and only 2 contacted me back and wanted to come out to bid on the work. Russ and his team immediately reached out to my inquiry and scheduled an appointment to meet me at our house. Russ was awesome and listened to what our goals were with the yard, what we wanted to do in the spring and provided some great recommendations. He sent out his estimate on-time and once he started work, he stayed in close contact with us giving us updates on the work. We had a few delays due to the constant rain, but he always let us know what was going on and why. Recently had Russell Landscape Services install our fence and couldnt be happier. Had sticker shock when quoted from Home Depot and am glad we had a more personalized experience with RLS giving us lots of options and explanations/followups. They even contacted the call before you dig hotline for us. Installation took one day and they cleaned everything up before they left. A positive experience all the way around!
