BUYER BEWARE. I was a customer of Trugreen for one calendar year. In that time my yard transformed from beautiful scenery to a dead scarce lawn filled with weeds. It will cost thousands to repair the damages incurred by Trugreen. In response to the damage Trugreen sent out the local Manager Chris who would not accept responsibility for the damages nor provide a plan of action on the repair of the yard. He guided his techs to continue spraying weed killer and kept charging me. They will do the same to you, do not hire. Reference pictures provided to determine effectiveness of their weed killing application.

If I could give TruGreen 11 stars I would. I know nothing about lawn maintenance (except how to operate a lawn mower and if TruGreen did that I would pay extra!). The team at TruGreen has exceeded my expectations in regards to creating a healthy, beautiful and well,... true-green yard. I was on the fence at first because there were brown patches in late Spring/early Summer, but those were just the weeds dying. Im pleased with the grass growth, weed eradication and outstanding customer service. Bonus: The mosquito control REALLY works! I dont know what sorcery TruGreen uses but whatever they spray kills em.

Been a Trugreen customer for several years and have been very frustrated with service (coming from Opelika Branch). Got switched to the Columbus Branch and the difference is night and day! Specialist Dalton Blizzard was very professional and knowledgeable. Please keep us in the Columbus Branch! Happy Trugreen customers again!

There should be a zero star because thats what they deserve! Ive used TruGreen for 2 years paying them an annual payment. I have NEVER signed a contract for renewal service or have a verbal renewal service contract with them. So, this Spring after last years payment was used up with their treatments they sent me an outrageous bill. Again, no contract with them. I did not pay their offer but they sent their service truck to my home anyway. I tried to call them several times and held online waiting for someone to pick up but never did. After 15 minutes I hung up. Later I received a bill from them and they sent their service truck again. Again I tried to contact them but after 10-15 minutes hung up with nobody answering. Next, I get a letter saying they are turning me over to a collection agency for the bill. I wrote them a letter explaining I did not want their service. Now, I a receive letter from their collection agency threating me about a service I did not request. This company is a racket and attempts to rip people off with their assumption that you will continue to use their service for life. Well, they have struck the wrong person this time. Its not happening!

They claim they sprayed my weeds and anthills, but after they came its like my issues got worse.then I found a charge I didnt authorize for some other service on my lawn they claim to have performed. Grass never looked better weeds never started dying ant hills still around. Then I canceled, yet they are still coming out and still charging me. Honestly Im about to laywer up and see how they like someone who isnt afraid to fight them. They are a scam through and through. Switched to ultimate lawn care and in less than 2 weeks can see the huge difference they have made.

The worst of the worst. False advertising (Guaranteed you will be happy). Plain liars. I am still fighting weeds and TruGreen has refused to refund my money. They have been playing games since March 2021. It is now July 2021. I have been calling and being told a manager will call me back in 24 hrs. I finally called the individual who signed me up and he has since left TruGreen, but did not tell me. He said he left because TruGreen was going in a different direction and he was not happy with the direction. I was told I never called to let them know I was unhappy, which was a lie. I downloaded videos to the salesperson and the supervisor in the Opelika, Alabama office.. I also have text messages and my call log. I will NEVER trust nobody who say they (guarantee) again. I want ALL my money back TruGreen and I wont stop until I get every penny.

This is our 19th year with TruGreen (13 years with Austell Georgia Branch and the 6th year with the Columbus, Georgia Branch). TruGreen Specialist Mr. Mario Rivera (83595) performed the May 7, 2021 and most of the 2020 ROUTINE as well as the SPECIAL WEED CONTROL Follow-Up Services. Mr. Rivera is AWESOME & ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL, he has done an OUTSTANDING JOB for us and is the epitome of PROFESSIONALISM. When weve been available during the treatment, he has taken the time to explain the purpose of the service, what we could expect with the treatment, the time for results to take place, to make certain he answered any questions and allowed us to express any concerns we may have with our lawn. We know TruGreen is proud and privileged to have specialists such as Mr. Rivera!

I keep getting phone calls from this business and it is telling me about my account. I do not want any of this anymore.

Awful lawn service and even worst customer service. I regret moving from Knox, my grass has never looked so bad in 15 years. its getting worst day by day and no one at Tru Green has taken time to resolve the issue. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

Horrible experience. Technicians either dont complete the job (unless you stand around and guide them everywhere they need to spray/lay treatment) or they pull up, never get out of their truck, and leave and mark the job as complete later that day. Zero accountability over their employees. Straight TRASH. Do not bother with TruGreen in the Columbus/Phenix City area.

I have used TruGreen for several years now, and am satisfied with the appearance of my yard. When I first inquired about lawn service, a representative came to my home and walked the yard, provided me with an estimate, and asked which type of grass that I preferred in my yard. I had centipede and Bermuda, with a mixture of weeds. I told the rep that all I wanted was a yard of green grass. I didn’t care what variety won. I had one instance of yellow grass, called and had a rep come to check out the grass. I was told it was an iron deficiency, whereupon I repeated my expectations that I wanted a green yard. I don’t know what they applied, but the yellow disappeared in about a week or so. I would recommend TruGreen to anyone that appreciates a good looking yard.

Zero stars. We watched the guy come and spray half the yard, didn’t spray the other side of back. We call and they send him back out. He tells us he can’t spray again. We call again. This time, he never even shows up and marks our service as complete.

After signing up for the service, my initial date of spraying was the one day I could not be there..tried calling to reschedule, put on hold for about 30 minutes where at that point I was disconnected..then signed up for pest control, given a date, never showed up..called to inquire, got recording saying it would be a 30 minute hold...this service is insufficient, and although you call a local number, it goes to an out of the area headquarters...I need a local dependable service, TruGreen is not

I am in now way impressed with this company as we always seem to get a different technician and mediocre lawn results. I gave this review a 4 star on a sliding scale simply because their tech Christopher P. Gets a 8 star rating for his personality, courtesy, perfessionalism and actually treating my yard, usually the tech is only here 7 to 9 minutes for our large yard. I watched him do 2 other yards in our culdesack before treating ours and he seemed consistent in the extra time he took interacting with his customers in the 90 degree plus atmosphere. Hopefully he will become our normal technition.

Didnt perform services on complete yard, often only did the front. On top of that once I called to cancel the service they billed me for two more services that were supposed to be replacements for the missed services.

This is one of the most horrible cervices. Please dont use this company, at least the service in Columbus is horrible. The company is supposed to email or text you and let you know they are coming they never did, I have the service for about 7 months. Then I call the second time to ask why I did not receive an email or a text, they said that they would do it the next time, it never happen. They will miss entire areas, my land was 10x worst so I call to cancel after 7 months. They call me to come over and see what was the problem they never did. 3 months as pass and they call me every week and something two times a week to ask why I cancel, and today they call said that I have not pay a service done in June and that they are going to report me. I ask if they have sent me any information before about this because I have auto-pay and they said that not but that I need it to pay now if not I was going to be reported me. Omg what a bad experience and bad customer services, this is harassment calling every week and know this. I never have problems with any of my service, this is just the most ridiculous company, they dont have values or principles. NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Please beware if you decided to cancel as I did. They continued to come out to treat the yard and we would tell the service guy to stop coming. We would get calls after calls to continue service and kept insisting to cancel. Today I am in collections for $109.69 and being ignored!

If you want to be harassed by a company then this is the company to sign up for. Once you stop service, they call endlessly...even if you tell them you sold your house and are renting or you will never use their services again if they continue to call you. Don’t use them. Go find a company that is respectful of your requests and your privacy.

They are always very nice when they come to do the lawn. My lawn usually looks good through the summer. It is getting a slow start now with some weeds. If I need to call them back, they usually come in a timely manner.

So far so good. We started with a blah yard. Weeds are starting to go away and new grass is emerging. I have pets and no one has been affected by the yard treatments.

Andy did my lawn this time, which he had done ever since I started my lawn service. He has always done a good a good job and keeps me informed what is going on with my lawn and how he treats it. I hope you continue him as my service man.

This is the worst service I have ever seen. Its better to go to lowes or Home Depot and do your lawn yourself. Their treatments take months to years to complete and are very expensive. After my lawn was treated the weeds grew so plentiful that I had to call them back . It seemed like they sprayed weed fertilizer instead of weed killer. They began to tell me it would be months before I noticed any progress. I cancelled them, went and bought some weed killer and sprayed it myself. My lawn is 90% bettter now.Dont waste your money here folks. Lots of horror stories out there. I was in a group once and I mentioned my experience with true green. There were 5 people there . Of the 5, four of them had used true green before. Every one of them had the same, bad experience. Very little to no progress made on the weeds while constantly trying to sell you other services. Save your money !

Fired this company once already. Scotts was good, but recently TruGreen took over them---bigger is not always better---have had nothing but frustrations since...NEVER can get anyone on the phone...have talked with a couple of people who gave me their numbers, only to find out the numbers do not exist--- they do not coordinate calls...more tan aggravated...FIRED them again today, Nov. 28 for the LAST time!!!

I called just to get information about the service 2 days ago and I have since then had 6 different people from trugreen call me checking up on me to see if Im interested still. Giving my information to this company was a huge mistake that wont ever happen again.

Superior overall knowledge and customer service applied to not only my lawn but to me the customer. As a result my lawn looks great and I feel well taken care of by my TruGreen representative.

My yard improved the first 2 years they serviced my lawn. The last few years they serviced the lawn, I continued to have more weeds. I cancelled service with them. The final straw was where they came to fertilize and treat weeds. The technician may have been here 5 mins. You can’t walk my front and back yard in 5 mins. Plus, my yard got burnt up in spots where they dumped fertilizer in their spreader while in my yard and spreader was open. They told me to throw sand on it. Now they continue to call and harass me on why I cancelled. I am tired of repeating myself. It should all be documented on why I cancelled. I have asked they not contact me anymore, but they continue to call.

I have used TruGreen services for about 4 years now and my lawn has always looked great with TruGreen. I just mow it and make sure the sprinklers are working properly and I have one of the best lawns in the neighborhood.

Tureen does a Wonderful Job on our Lawn my neighbors Love our Lawn. They ask Who treats your grass. I said Trugreen. There response was WOW!!!

The technicians that come out are very knowledgeable about what to do to my yard to brighten it up. They explain every step with me before doing anything and are able to answer all my questions.

We like the fact that our representative, Anthony, is very thorough and knowledgeable. He takes the time to make sure that he treats our entire lawn, even areas we ourselves normally forget about. We have seen an improvement in just a few weeks.

Not only are the representatives rude, they will not stop harassing you if you decline their service. We have told them REPEATEDLY to stay off our property and stop leaving signs in our yard. We’ve spoken to sales people and managers to complain yet here we are again with flyers on our property. I will NEVER use this disrespectful company.

I have no problems with TrueGreen. The attendants are always courteous and responsive to my requests. My lawn is free of weeds. Great service! I would recommend to anyone, who needs yard service to fight weeds.

I have never posted an online review in my life, but Columbus Trugreen has compelled me to write one now. They are easily the single worst service Ive had, regardless of what work is required, in 16 years of living on my own. Not only did it take 4 attempts/calls to get my service started, the results of 6+ months of service being pitiful is the last of my concerns. Now on 2 occasions, once by my neighbor and once by my wife, we have proof of a tech coming to the house, ringing the doorbell, and when nobody answered just hanging a sign saying the work was completed. Now call me crazy, but I dont think a 6,000 sq. ft. lot can be treated in

When my husband set up the service they said make sure we can get to the yard, that the dogs are put up. We told them we would arrange each visit with them in advance on days that we could put the dogs in the kennel. They agreed to come only on the dates that we said the dogs would not be there and together set the first date. The technician came on a different day and left a note that he could not spray because the dogs were there. My husband called, figuring it was a one-time misunderstanding. He set up another date with the person he spoke with. The technicians did not come that day, they came again when my dogs were there and that time treated the yard with my dogs there! I called and asked the person I spoke with to add a note to our account that we absolutely did not want them there when our dogs were there. We set up another date. They came the day before the agreed date and treated AGAIN with our dogs home. I phoned them today and fired them. I told them if they dont fix this complete disregard for the customers wishes and their pets health, they will not be in business long. The woman stammered, okay, Ill put a note on your account. Too little too late! No, I said, you are fired, and Id like my confirmation number. By the way, the law says that even though TruGreen came into my yard without my permission and sprayed poison when my dogs were home, that I have to pay them for doing it. So we will do that, but if we see the first symptom of pesticide poisoning, we are not just calling the vet.

My Tru-Green lawn specialists Tavarris did an excellent job today treating my lawn. By far, I have the most plush and greenest grass in the neighborhood. Tru-Green, is well represented by this young man. He displayed a great value in attention to detail. OUTSTANDING!

Last year I had a sales person harrassing me. Finally flipped my lid on her and thought it was over. This year I start getting stuff in the mail, whatever it goes into the trash. Today a lawn guy shows up saying we have a treatment plan on our house $50 a visit ! No such thing we have never signed up for any of it! He was just going to spray our lawn and we would be mailed a bill! Ridiculous.

I called trugreen about weeds in my lawn. I am a long time customerWas told be there Wed .morning. Wednesday afternoon..... NOBODY!!! IM SO THRU WITH TRUGREEN!!!!!

I had started mosquito protection about two weeks ago. Three days later we were still getting chewed up. When I called I was told I would be serviced again within three business days. I was told they would call me first. When I didn’t get a call I called again and was promised for Monday and I would be contacted to tell me the time. Late Monday I was at home and my doorbell rang when I came out they were reservicing for lawn care, not mosquitoes. The guy said he was told to reservice lawncare. I told him to stop that I would call. When I called the customer service person told me he would put it in for three business days. I told him to cancel all my services and I wanted a refund for the mosquito treatment because it did not work. He told me after being quite rude that he would cancel the service when I asked about the refund he told me he would do what we talked about, when I again asked about the refund he again stated he would do share we talked about. I asked for a supervisor and after being on hold for ten minutes came back very rudely and told me they would refund my money. We shall see. I would not recommend them because they don’t follow thru. I was paying over $100 per month for two services and they do not seem to value their customers.

I had true green lawn, tree and shrub service. I have discontinue my service after the year was up. They have been informed of this. I have now received about five phone calls from them. Each time I have told them I do not plan on renewing. It is getting to the point I consider it harassment. If I have to block their number and report them I will.

TruGreen is a lawn service that I can count on. My Lawn looks great and constantly receive compliments from my neighbors.

This company does not stand by their word. Our lawn is over grown with weeds after this years treatments. Last year our lawn was beautiful and weed free. But this year, the technician changed and since then we have had nothing but trouble. I have emailed, called and personally spoke with management about our concerns and requested a new tech,(after observing him doing a terrible job spraying the yard). Each time the same person came out regardless of our request. There are 3 people on my street alone that have truegreen and we all have called and complained and we all are cancelling our service. Dont ever use TrueGreen!

My lawn looks so much better this season than last, after I engaged Scotts Lawn (now TruGreen) for a full season. The field associates I met, the few times I have been home when they arrived, were very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I does appear that one corner of my lawn got missed last year, so it doesnt look quite as nice as the rest of the lawn, but I remedied that with some personally-applied fertilizer and - fortunately - copious rain followed to wash it into the soil. Now you can hardly tell. I spoke with both my TruGreen rep and my field associate and they are aware, so that should not be a problem. TruGreen is pestering me to no end about their mosquito-control product and that has gotten irritating, to be kind. But the lawn looks great (I prepaid for this entire season at the end of 2016 so Im looking forward to even better in 2018 - if thats possible! Im constantly getting compliments on how nice my lawn looks.

They would not put chemicals in my backyard even after I talked to the tech multiple times. I canceled my service and they would continue to come and charge me.

I have been using Trugreen for a number of years. I have the prettiest yard on my block. The weeds are at a minimal and my grass is so green and beautiful. I never have to worry about my yard as long as I have Trugreen. I also let them spray for yard bugs and I never have a problem with those either. I always know when Trugreen ans come while I am not there because they always put out a flag and leave a note on the door. I would recommend Trugreen to anyone that wants a beautiful lawn. They also, always call every year to find out if everything is ok and if I need anything else putout, such as lime.

Had their services for almost 3 years and didnt see a difference in my yard. Ive had other friends and family members tell me they dropped trugreen a long time ago. I think seem of the lawn care workers werent spraying like they said they were. Never again will I use their service and i will be letting others know 🤬
