Always a show at the skull session! A great way to ignite your buckeye pride!
Historic St. Johns for skull session. Tough to beat it.
Great place to park. Never been inside though.
Had a great time at this Arena for pregame show .
Great place to watch a basketball game.
Went here for 2nd Covid shot. Was well organized with friendly staff
Loved the skull session.
The line was perfect moved in and out really quickly and everything went well
So much history in the building. You can feel it when you walk in
Great skilsation
Kroger COVID vaccine clinic is very efficient.
Quick in and out vaccination #2 for COVID
HOT!!!! No A/C. 🥵🥵🥵
If youve never been, go to a Skull Session before an OH State home game. Great pep rally and college game day atmosphere to get you psyched up to cheer on the Bucks. Its free, and a fantastic opportunity to hear the Best Damn Band in the Land, OH State players and coaches, as well as some local high school marching bands.
Skull session before the game
Absolutely amazing atmosphere! The crowds are so great and any event here is so fun! Bathrooms are good but not the absolute best conditions just because of the age of the building but still a fantastic place. Employees are very nice and welcoming. Security is great. Food and drinks are good too!
So glad they spared this arena! Legendary games were played here and this offers the perfect tune up to a football game on game day. Feels like you are stepping back into the 1950s but the place is as solid, fun and interesting as any place you are likely to go. Check it out!
Great history 😷👍❗❗
Best acoustics for a large arena. So much tradition and pictures in the first floor hallway take you back to your youth. Go Bucks!
I remember my sister saw a new edition concert there in 1988 heartbreak tour
...secondary athletic event centre; dated, needs replacement.
Unbelievable experience! Our high school marching band was invited to play alongside the visiting teams band (Miami, OH). If youre an OSU fan and have never been to a skull session, its a definite must. You wont be disappointed.
Went for the four miler venue great. Staff need trained on locations during this event. Asked 4 times for directions given 4 different answers.
Great place to go
Nice arena but Nationwide is laid out better and also typically has a friendlier staff than this place.
The Skull Session prior to home football games gets you fired up for the game! Sound quality from microphones as people talk is poor and hard to understand.
Great place to catch the Skull Session before the Ohio State Buckeyes home games. I love St Johns Arena. You feel close to the action no matter where youre sitting. Its free, and you get a chance to hear the coaches, players, and TBDBITL speak and rile the crowd up before the home games. Make sure that you arent carrying a purse or a book bag, else they will not let you into the arena. The policies that apply at the Shoe, apply for the arena as well. The arena gets hot hot hot when the weather is still warm outside, so expect to sweat a bit if its warm outside!
Referees take care of their home team! Terrible calls. I am sure they are making money on the game!
A smaller, more intimate venue where the seats are darn near literally right on top of the action.
Clean and very exciting!!!! Loved seeing the bands perform was awesome. So proud of the Tri-valley marching Scotties for all the hard work. This was a honor to be a part of..
This place hosts a lot of Ohio States less popular sports. However its still a good venue and a ton of fun to attend something here. The womens volleyball ball games usually have a decent turnout and the student section is very entertaining.
Usually the OSU basketball games are played at the Schottenstein Center, but this was a nice change of pace. You walk in here and you feel like youre at a high school sporting event. The gym feels a lot smaller which means you feel a lot closer to the players! I was very excited to get a chance to see a game in this arena.
Classic place. Would have been fun to watch basketball here back in the day.
I love the how historical the place is, we watched Ohio State wrestle Wisconsin there. My 9 year old loved it!
I love this place! The staff are always friendly! As a figure skater, I appreciate how clean the rink is. Go Bucks!
Covid vaccine.
I will always love St. John. That floor brings back so many memories.
We always try to go here when we attend a Buckeye football game against Nebraska! The OSU band is phenomenal & this traditional meeting of fans, band parents & supporters, & football players & coaching staff for a pep rally is truly great fun! Dont miss this aspect of OSU!!🤗🤩
Most do, if your going to a game. Great for kids.
Love this place to watch sports going to miss it when it is torn down
The Best place to play basketball in State
OSU band skull session was so fun!
St Johns is a great venue. Catch Skull sessions with TBDBITL before football games, and Womens gymnastics in the spring semester. Can be warm in the fall when its packed on Saturdays, and definitely worth coming early to get good seats for popular events.
Nothing like this place. Really, really historic. Very cool.
Love how the university does so much for students, athletes and families to be able to have great game day experience
Went for skull session. Very nice arena.
Great Skull session! Go Bucks.
Only wish i could have scene a game there the skull session before a game us out of this world
Watching the Skull Session is always a great experience. Gets a lil warm but worth it
My goodnessvi have some history in this venue. I still enjoy attending events there
Classic, I always feel so connected to the rich history of The Ohio State University when inside St. John Arena.
A game experience here beats the Schott hands down. Love the look of the structure on the inside. The vaulted ceiling, the wooden seats, lots of character!
Great please. But Small seats.
Venerable old arena. Still the best place to watch sports in town.
Excellent place, I really miss basketball games being played there.
Great venue. Skull session is free and is available 2 hours before each home football game.
Great place be watching OSU put a true beating on that team up north
BEST location for Skull Session!!! TBDBITL Home for Pre-game!!!
Love watching skull session. The staff can be rude. They say sections are full when they arent. The security moves so slow that if you wait for the team to walk down the sidewalk you will not make it inside soon enough to hear the coaches speak.
O-H... I love football Saturdays!
Took in the skull session before buckeyes game enjoyed listening to OSU band
Skull session is a must. Love to go as a student now I love to go as an alumni.
Excellent rink. Clean and friendly staff
I really like it there it is very big inside
Very historic building. I love to watch sporting events here
Skull session with TBDBITL, best fans, Urban Meyers first game back, and a win!
You can tell this place has been around for awhile and oozes with tradition. If youre a Buckeye, go to the Skull Sessions on game day and youll have a blast.
Great place for the Skull sessions and pre-game activities!
Love the atmosphere. Great place for basketball.
Amazing entertainment. Great for viewing sporting events
Great place great memories
Its truly an old school arena
Old basketball arena, lots of history. TBDBITL pre-game Skull Session pep rallies are here 2 hours before each home game.
Tons of bathrooms, vintage tone, and all of the charm of a proper 50s 14,000 seat arena. That new Covelli joint wont have a fraction of the character.
We had a great time planing on going back
Quaint, historical and nostalgic!!
Great experience if historic college sports venue. They dont build em like this any more.
Great historic experience, very overpriced concessions.
Nothing fancy, but oozing with nostalgia and greats of times gone by. Give time to take in old photos and trophies in the corridors.
Love this old building. They need to use it more!
Skull Session is a must before every OSU game. TBDBITL! Go Bucks!
The old basketball arena is now home to some of OSUs less popular sports as well as the Skull Session two hours before football games. Historic!
