Just found this place month ago to get my undercut. I live two hours away, but visit Columbus frequently. Only place I will let touch my undercut now. Banter and atmosphere is great. Quality of the cut is great.Trust me, they will get you cleaned up with some laughs involved.

I’ve been to many barbershops around Columbus, but Old Familiar is by far my favorite. Not only good barbers, just a solid group of guys all together. Cameron usually cuts my hair and does an awesome job, but I have been cut by most of the other guys there always with great results. Everyone is friendly and fun to talk with. I always look forward to getting my haircut and catching up. I can’t recommend this shop highly enough!

First time being very disappointed in my sons haircut after leaving this place. Darryl did not know how to cut his hair. Nice guy and all but no bueno.

Been coming for over a year now and have never had such a great barber experience. All the guys are great, Ive had my hair cut by 5 of them since first going and they all do a great job, always a fun time also.I asked them if they would help me out with a class project by letting me photograph them once and they were super accommodating. Ive since moved farther away but still make the trip every few weeks.

I visited today with my friend Jerry. Blake gave him a cut and shave. For a bald guy who wishes he had hair this would be my spot. Customer service through the roof. Great group of guys cutting hair. 5 stars.

They really get what I like for a haircut. It was fun and fast. It will not take long for them to cut your hair but the outcome is amazing.The staffs there were amazing. Excellent barbers working in an old school shop. Several of the barbers are appointment only, others take walk ins on a first come, first serve basis. The walk in spots fill up fast so call or stop in early if you need to get in that day.

Horrible...just horrible. My boyfriend and i recently moved back east and were looking for a quality barber shop. This place seemed like it fit the bill. Awesome reviews, nice shop, and Close by. So we go in there. We should have just gone with our guts and found else where but we had prior engagements and didnt have the time to look else where. From the beginning they were snobby and judgmental. If you dont wear busted ragged high tops, skinny jeans, man bun, and beard they treat you funny. Then they give horrible quality cuts for double the price. We dont mind the price cause i believe in you get what you pay for. But in this case based off of that saying, they should have paid us. My boyfriends fade was nicked, uneven, patchy, and entirely to long on the top. He even had a Line of hair down the middle of his head of hair longer then the rest. And That was just the hair cut. His beard was just as bad. His side burns werent even, his bottom left jaw had a bunch of hair that didnt get trimmed and stuck far longer then the rest. He looked worse after then before. Never again. Maybe it was just the barber. I dont know. Maybe hes not familiar with white peoples hair??? For whatever the reason i would never recommend this place.

Recent decided to give these guys a try. Man, did they do my hair up right. Smooth, laid back environment with 2 cool cats in the pilot seats, they gave me the best haircut I had ever had. Oh and a hot towel, hot foam, straight razor shave to top off the experience. Ive got my new barbers! A++

WTF? Since when do you need an appointment to walk into a barber shop? This is not really a barber shop. There is a long line of chairs against the wall but Im not sure what they are there for if you need an appointment. Look, I dont have enough hair left to worry about making an appointment to get a buzz cut. Maybe the name should be Old Familiar Beauty Salon?

This is the best crew I have found in Columbus. I havent seen a bad haircut yet. Very laid back spot. Its not cheap, thats what great clips is for. The cost is worth it though as you get what you pay for. From what Ive seen you can walk in and feel comfortable getting anyone in the shop.

I recently decided to give these guys a try on the recommendation of my roommate, and after one visit I wouldnt go anywhere else in Cbus to get my hair cut. Great environment, and for the first time since I moved to Columbus I walked out of the barbershop with a fresh hair cut that I liked. In addition, being able to set an appointment was much better than having to go wait for a haircut because I was able to walk in and be in and out of the shop in about 15 minutes.

Go here for a real cut and/or shave from barbers who take their work very seriously. Ive had cuts from Kenji and Josh (owners/barbers) and both rank as top haircut experiences for me. I only need to tell them to make it look fresh and they bring it. Hot lather with a hot towel and straight razor shave, even when theyre just trimming around the ears and neck line... these guys do it right. Theyre professional, but still completely cool and the fact that they love what they do comes across completely.I live about 20 minutes drive from this shop and I wont go anywhere else. The shop has a chill atmosphere, always good music and I walk out feeling like a new man.

This place is great with a hip yet old school feel

The barber I had cut my temple with the staright razor, left me looking like a weird buzz head with a round fluffy toupe on top, my beard is super uneven and he butchered my mustache into a weird uneven thin line - that stops and inchnaway from my lip. I cant believe he still charged me $35 after I saw the final result.... Then he kept pushing his stickers at me to advertise his shop. Im unfortunately a walking billboard of where not to go until my hair grows back, but thanks...

I have waited for 90 MINUTES for a haircut.I have been to best barber shops in New York, London and L.A. and I HAVE NEVER WAITED FOR AN HOUR AN A HALF.Place is quite dirty too, and there is virtually no heating, so good luck in Winter.Avoid this place at all costs.

To start things off, I had never been to a barber in my life. My mom cut my hair when i was younger and then as I grew up I cut my own hair. I was extremely nervous to pick a barber to go to. I had heard from multiple people this was the place to go. Blake ended up cutting my hair and I honestly walked out with a smile and completely satisfied with the job he did and cant stop looking in the mirror. I will now be going there every time for a haircut. I would recommend this place to any person looking for a very solid cut.

A vibrant and original true school barbershop. Most hair places have stylists. OFBS has barbers. In particular, that means they know how to handle straight razors and facial hair. For my money, this is the top shop in Ohio.

This is the only barber shop to get your hair cut in Columbus in my opinion they are they good. I would recommend calling ahead to see if they have any walk in spots open if you dont have an appointment.
