JT did a fantastic job. I rushed to Ohio for a family funeral and had no time to get a haircut from normal barber. I honestly was worried that it wouldnt come out the way I like it but he definitely exceeded my expectations. If Im ever in Ohio again, JT would be my guy forsure.

Found this place online, reviews were great. Went in with high hopes and came out dissatisfied. I believe that it depends what barber you get determines your experience.

Place came recommended to me so I stopped in to get a quick beard trim as it says Walk In’s always welcome. Walks in are definitely not welcome or recommended at this spot. Went in 3 separate times where there was either tons of customers w chairs all full (hour plus wait) or on a weekday morning where there was one guy cutting hair with a couple guys waiting (hour plus wait). In both cases it was like pulling teeth trying to get one of the barbers to acknowledge me or explain to me what the process was, what the wait time was like etc. (They don’t have a cashier/assistant to help out w this only barbers). I’m sure the cuts are great here but unfortunately did not get in with anyone. I’m also positive that making a reservation is the way to go but there is nowhere on the website to do so.I would recommend removing walk ins welcome from the website and also having some sort of online booking tool to assist new customers.

For the past 5 years I have been a customer of Niko’s. Quality is far superior to any other barber in Columbus. Staff is authentic and care about their quality. The shop is extremely clean. The overall experience is great. If you’re looking for a cheap looking hair cut that’s fast you might want to go to one of those $5.99 places. If you’re looking for a true barber with quality then go to Niko’s.

My friend accompanied me to an event in Columbus and last minute decided to get a haircut and work done on his beard. We chose Niko’s because of their reviews. It was PERFECT! The atmosphere is everything you want from a barber shop and his hair and beard have never looked better! Perfect experience - wish we had Niko’s in our state.

This place is hands down the best barbershop in Columbus. Although parking can be a bit tricky (street parking), it is well worth every penny.The environment is very laid back. Great music. Very clean as well. Nobi has always been my barber and there is no one in this area that comes close to her cuts. Very attentive, while always leaving with the same exact haircut.They will always be my go to for haircuts and facial hair trimming.

All the guys were nice and chatty. Loved the haircut I received as the guy took his time and paid attention to detail. Definitely my go to barbershop in Columbus anytime Im in the area. Came to Nikos on several occasions, most recently last night. I go back and forth on what I want out of a cut but with little explanation of what I was looking for (and what I wasnt looking for) I walked out with a better, cleaner style then I could have tried to explain. The crew here have fun while they work and create a great atmosphere that is welcoming and inclusive.

I have been driving 40 minutes one way to get my hair and beard done here for over a year. I tried to set an appointment with Kevin the day before thanksgiving. He told me he raised his price that day by $10 just because it was the busiest day and basically he could get away with it. So much for customer service. So I will go somewhere from now on that actually cares about their customers.

I drive 20 minutes to get my hair cut here and I dont have a ton of hair. Every barber is really good. Great vibe in the place but these folks have skills. No bad cuts coming out of Nikos.

Arrived before 8am on a Saturday and was third in line luckily because the place was packed by 8:05am. Sat in Alyssas chair and got a great line up and beard trim. Also, excellent straight razor work. Cool atmosphere and shop. Would definitely go back. Huge bonus having Kitties Hand Crafted Cakes (and coffee) right next door. Makes for a very nice Saturday morning!

I have had my hair and beard cut here about every month for over 2 years. Niko is a good barber and has a solid vision for his business. His other barbers are as good technically and all provide a solid service. Ive never had a bad cut here, hair or beard.

My fiancé went to this barber shop this morning. He had called ahead to make sure that it wasn’t busy and he could get a cut. They confirmed it wasn’t and told him to come in. When he arrived, the ONLY time anyone acknowledged him or talked to him in general was when someone asked him if his name was Patrick. He said no. The person walked away. There was no further communication. To make matters even more frustrating, there were several people that walked in after him that were greeted and acknowledged. One person even got into a chair before him. So rather than wasting his Saturday morning waiting for someone to acknowledge him as a customer or even as a person, he got up and left. Now in general, that is HORRIBLE service. What I neglected to mention until now (because it shouldn’t matter) is that my fiancé is black. Both him and I understand that not all white barbers are trained or experienced in how to cut his hair. It would be understandable if that was the case here. What is not understandable is that if that WAS the case, that NO ONE even attempted to have a conversation with him about it. Refusing to acknowledge or have a conversation with a potential client (whether or not you have the skillset to take them on as a client) is truly ridiculous and poor customer service. From reading some of the other comments on here, this level of customer service isn’t infrequent, but clearly trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt was the wrong thing to do.

Best haircut I have ever had. I was in the Marines and have had some great fades, but Nikos tops them all. I live in Lancaster and I gladly take a 25-30 minute trip just for a haircut. Only thing that sucks is they are closed on Sunday. But thats my only complaint.

Niko is literally the man. Went to him back when I was a freshman at OSU and refused to go anywhere else throughout college. He remembered my cut the second time in, and was always very knowledgeable and personable. You can expect an absolutely wonderful atmosphere and haircut when you go here, and his prices are more than reasonable. They take too many call aheads that they don’t care about the walk ins.I have came to this location 4 times and each visit is worse.The final straw was when came in on a Friday. I was the only one in the lobby, and all the barbers were with a client. No one acknowledged that I walked in, i don’t ask for much a simple “Hi” “someone will be with you soon” is enough for me...I was excited that I wasn’t going to wait 40 minutes for a haircut. But just as soon as one barber was done a call ahead would walk in. I ended up waiting 2 hours for a haircut, I didn’t tip I didn’t say anything I just left with my mediocre haircut.Nikos is over hyped and not worth the wait, Maybe I’m the only who feels this way but this was my experience.

Nikos is the original. This isnt a manufactured hipster razor shack. This is a solid, decent guy who decided to make his way on his own. I have been getting my haircut by Niko since his barber pole spun in front of a tiny old storefront on Thurman 8 years ago. He does not hire anyone who cant make the cut. Get your haircut here. Seriously.

I came to Nikos barber shop from out of town. I am from Oklahoma city and was in Columbus for work. I read reviews online before I went and was a bit hesitate because trying a new barber who doesnt know you can be a bit daunting. Anyways I walked in and Niko sat me in his chair, and went to work. Inside I was internally screaming because he went fast and I couldnt see. But by the time he got done it was EXACTLY as I had requested! In fact, he went above that with his grooming techniques and I thought he did a better job than my normal barber back home. I recommend this Barber Shop A+++++

Been here about 5 times the first 2 times, they said they couldnt cut my hair I had to make an appointment. Another time I called they said to come in & when I did they still said they couldnt cut my hair. The owner was rude & told me to come back another day. The 2 times they did it was ok. Its ok. I did a walk in appointment but no-one acknowledged me when I came in and waited. The cut I got was ok, but felt a bit rushed and then later I felt like he hadnt really done what I asked. I would have said something when I was there but he cut my hair with me facing away from the mirror the whole time so I couldnt see and then just showed me at the end after he had styled it.I doubt Ill go back again.

Nikos is my barbershop even though I leave a mile from Lake Erie! I travel to Columbus at least once a month, for work. No one in Lorain County is as good as any of the barbers at Nikos.
