I wish I could give 0 stars, this man took 3 weeks just to take 2 out 3 bolts out of my GF car that had broke in her compressor.. this job should of took only a day probably a 10-30 min to complete, we was really patient with this guy told him my gf starts school Tuesday, but he still took his sweet time. My friend that took the car there and was keeping taps on it, my friend works across the street, he said that he was taking my gf car down just to put his car in the shop to work on his own car instead of doing my gf car… I don’t understand how he got 4.6 stars but we won’t ever be coming back here

Had an excellent experience at this shop, I wouldnt recommend any other shop in the area. all i needed was an alternator replaced for my e38, I received quotes upwards of $1000, and having replaced the alternator 2 days prior i know how long it should take and other establishments tried to B.S. Me. Rick over at Tims took very good care of me, got the car back sooner than expected for a price that was unbeatable. Once again i highly recommend this shop to any soldier who doesnt want to get gouged some of the surrounding shops in the area across the river

I just left the shop, and I will definitely be back! Tim’s foreign car services is the only place I’ll take my car, or my family’s cars, from now on. Super detailed diagnostic, knew their stuff about my car, knew multiple things that could have caused the issue my car was having, even helped me out at no charge to make sure I could get around safely until I could get my issue fixed. Their knowledge and service were outstanding! They didn’t try to B.S. me or sell me anything, just gave me recommendations on what I should get done, and gave a fair quote on how much it would cost. Tim was an honest and nice guy to talk to as well. Hands down the best shop I’ve ever been to!

My car started to drive jerky. My service light came on but was blinking. I pulled up on a friday after noon. Tim jr and Senior work together for all their customers and figured it out and fixed it by 330. They were very busy but the got me in so I would not be without a car all weekend. They do business the right way. Ill always go there with all my future cars. Because of their great job I wont have car payments for sometime to come.

This shop is the absolute truth! I had the best experience and top notch customer service this past Friday. Took my car in due to service engine light being on after taking it to another shop that claim to have been knowledgeable in foreign cars (NOT). I wont name the shop. Anyway, moving forward, a friend recommended Rick at Tims Foreign Car Service. When I arrived, I asked for Rick and explained that my engine light was on after having spark plugs installed. I ask him to please diagnose and repair. He was very understanding and trustworthy. He explained everything in full detail. I felt very confident in him and leaving my car in his care. I was going to call an Uber to take me to work but I didnt have to. Rick graciously offered to drop me off as it wasnt far from the shop. My car was diagnosed and I was given a call upon completion with accurate diagnoses and a very reasonable price!!! When I got off work, I was picked up by Rick and given paperwork to explain everything in detail. I will definitely be returning to this shop! If you care about your car as I do and looking for an honest shop that does exemplary work, please visit this shop and ask for Rick!!!! These guys know what their doing and are very strategic in their work. Thanks again for fixing my car!

Took my BMW in and they called me and said it was the starter. They replaced the starter the same day and it was $700. The next afternoon I went to the grocery store and the car did the same thing and would not start. I called the next day and was told they would tow it for me since they thought the starter was bad again. I offered to have my roadside assistance tow it in again but they said no they would take care of it. On that following Monday I had no heard back so I called. The younger guy said he didn’t know the details about my car but would have the other guy call me. We touched base the following day. I was told it was the alternator. The guy suggested that I buy my own alternator and then sated he would only charge me $100 labor since I had just spent $700 on the starter. We supplied the alternator and by the end of day I had to call. Again the younger guy answered and said they had just finished it but it was a bad alternator and that we needed another one. We exchange the alternator out and around 1pm they called and said the car was ready. When I went in they had charged me $45 for towing and 6 hours of labor even though the receipt stated $281 for alternator.( which we supplied) . The total amount was $449.69 even though we supplied the $243 alternator. The younger guy argues with me and said they had to remove the alternator twice and that Oreillys Auito also has bad parts. I paid for the repairs but also told them that last time when I picked my car up from the starter repair that now my sunroof wasn’t working even though the day I had it towed it was working fine. He said it was their problem. The next day while fueling my car I noticed that they never replaced the cover back on my battery, they had taken out several panels and my cargo net and they were not in the car. I called them the next day and the older gentleman answered and said he would check. They had them at the shop. So I had to make another trip back to the shop. I was never greeted . The younger guy and the older gentleman went out and put my panels back on . Again the older gentleman apologized and the younger man never said a word. If you don’t get him away fro your business he will run lore of your customers off with his attitude. Probably will never return unless this younger guy is no longer employed there. He needs to learn customer service and to stand behind his partners word.

My car issues have been frequent, complex and at times a mystery, but Rick has been determined to research and repair every issue I’ve had. He’s so patient and kind and is an excellent mechanic. He truly cares about his customers and the safety of their vehicles.

It is a rarity to be treated with the level of care that Tim and Rick both shared while my car was at their shop. My car was in quite rough shape after 12 long years in Vermont winters. Other shops around simply wouldn’t accept the job or would have charged at rates I would not be able to afford. Tim happily took the job and gave me clear guidance on what he could and couldn’t do, how long it would take, and what the cost would be. To say that I was pleased with the overall experience, even after we learned that there was more to the job then initially thought, is an understatement.The bottom line is that if you would like to find a shop with honesty and kindness then call up Tim or walk in and say hello.

Rick was awesome! He was able to repair several issues with my vehicle in a very timely manner, and for an excellent price. After driving over the weekend my vehicle is riding like new and sounding much better. Highly recommend this shop and Mr. Rick to anyone.

This is the best automotive repair service in the city. Example: I thought I was having problems with my brakes. Tim had a look and realized that it was a loose mudflap that was making the noise when braking hard, and so he replaced a few screws for me, came to my work place to pick me up, and charged me nothing for his time. When there have been issues that needed to be addressed, Tim and his staff have one superior work every time, finding the issues and resolving them.Its so nice to be able to work with a team of skilled mechanics who are completely honest. Its why my wife and I both take our Hondas to Tim - we trust them completely. Cannot say enough nice things about their work and integrity.

My parents have had a 2004 Mercedes, a 2012 BMW, and one of our other older Beamers serviced for body work, alternator replacements, brake replacements and so on, all done by Tim’s. They’ve done a good job for the past several years we’ve gone to them and my parents have always recommended their friends to go to these guys for their great work and their very fair prices. (The damn BMW of Columbus are crooks trying to charge us 1200$ for an alternator replacement, and these guys have done that for a fraction of a price, 3 years ago, with our car still going with no problems)A couple weeks ago, I just had my used Tundra (that I just bought) looked at and they fixed my truck with new rotors and calipers. No issues so far, with a VERY reasonable price (Again, cheaper than the dealership) And, they checked out a couple other small things that I asked them to look at, by MY request of course, and they were honest as to what didn’t have to be changed, what the last owner probably changed recently that looked new, and what one or two parts that should be looked at again by the time I get another oil change (that means a few more thousand miles). Of course checking those small things aren’t free, but you get good, informed, honest answers from them. That’s something I’m definitely willing to pay them for their expertise.TL;DR: These guys are honest people, with reasonable prices, and my family has had 4 vehicles with several services (big and small) done by them with no issues after they touch it, whenever we can’t do it ourselves. We can do oil changes and replace some fluids or parts ourselves, but we go here for everything else.I hope the owner’s doing okay. My parents and I only saw their son or one of the older mechanics by the desk the last couple times.

These are stand up people. I have a hard to pin down problem with my Volvo and they did a free diagnosis and had the integrity to say they weren’t comfortable doing the repair. They didn’t try to sell me any alternative fixes. Just told me the facts and sent me on my way.

Rick and all the employees of Tim’s Foreign Car Sercives have proven to me, that there is still hope in human and Mechanic Shops. My 2010 Mini S Cooper had engine light on, hood can’t pop open, need control valve change. This shop fixed and made all the problems go away in half a day. The price was perfect and affordable😊.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Brought it in the morning at 8am and it was finished at 2pm. Amazing, amazing, amazing 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.. Praise God for solving my 2week headache and stress😩😩😫😫... I understand and I’m also a victim that’s why I have trust issues with mechanic shops. I’m a lady and I know I can be easily fooled or looked down because “Hey, I’m just a girl🤷🏽‍♀️“ in their head when I walk in the shop. Little do they know😂🤣 my playground was my daddy’s car and boat mechanic shop, back home in the Island. Anyways, I can tell if I’m being ripped off or somethings not right. I become a victim even if i know it’s too much to pay for the price. You guys want to know Why???? It’s out of Desperation and we become a victim and it’s not right.
