I dont know who is running this office but its seems like they are unorganized. I called last week left a VM, no one has reached back out. Also sent an email never got a response. After seeing the other reviews I find it best not to move over here.
Earlier this year I was in search of a new apartment. I wanted to apply at Hibernia, but I had a couple of questions before submitting an application.I tried calling three times, and left an email once. I got no response to any of these inquiries. One of my calls was even automatically disconnected.I’d give 0 stars if I could — but hey, at least their communication is poor from the beginning so I don’t live here and end up wasting my time and money on an inconsiderate staff
Horrible support !!! First, the maintenance crew and support is horrible ! You will go days and weeks without getting your maintenance issues resolved. The leasing office will tell you that they are “working on it” but that’s it. No follow up and you gotta keep calling them before your issues are fixed. Also, a lot of car break ins and none of Hibernia’s cameras work. For all the money they are getting for the upgraded units you would think they would improve on maintenance and security but they won’t. Avoid Hibernia at all costs because leasing and maintenance don’t really care.
If i could leave zero starts i would!!! This place is terrible! DO NOT RENT HERE!!! They have left us with no AC for weeks! My grandmother lives here and her air is always out! People are constantly breaking into cars and garages in the parking lot! The cameras do not work!!! Rent here if you like a HOT apartment and want your car or garage robbed. Not to mention the office does not care!
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Parking lots are dark, cameras don’t even work. Cars constantly get broke into. I now just leave my car doors unlocked and take out my valuables so nobody breaks my window. The office staff doesn’t care about our safety or protection. Think I’m lying. Ride around and ask tenants who live here about the break ins and dark parking lots.
Moved in in February, signing the lease and getting the keys we noticed water coming in thru the guest bedroom window and saturating the carpet and drywall we immediately notified the office and showed the guy giving us our keys. Weve left message after message and 5 months later weve still have had no one fix or contact about this. As well as our dishwasher has quit working and now our ac. There is no concern on maintaining or atleast respectfully contacting tenants about work orders.
Ive been trying to call this place for about a week now and no has answered my call. Im being nice by giving it three stars.
Never lived in a nicer apartment complex. Ella and her staff have always taken great care of me and my family and were always willing to work with me. The apartments themselves are nice and roomy and well maintained. Only thing that could be better is maybe more parking spaces.
This place is a joke. Put in requests for repairs to another of stuff and none of it was ever done. The extreme lack of care by the leasing staff is astounding. I had my vehicle broken into in front of a camera in the parking lot and when I attempted to call the leasing office 5 times during the day it happened I was met with no answer and no one attempted to reach out either after I left multiple messages. I will not be renewing a lease with this awful place. I suggest you look elsewhere for a place to call home because this just isnt it.
Hibernia has by far been the best complex that I lived in since relocating to Columbus. The space that you get for your money is phenomenal and unmatched in comparison to other apartment communities. The staff was super friendly and I loved the parties that they threw for the residents. It have you the opportunity to meet your neighbors and get to know new people. There was always free food, alcohol, games and a DJ. Though it may not be the newest community, it certainly was well kept and I feel it had a lot of character. The only reason I moved out was because I lived in a 1 bedroom and then I got married and my husband and I wanted to rent a house, which we did. I never had issues with any of my neighbors or the staff. I truly loved living there!
Hibernia is a great place to live! I really enjoy living here. The property management staff is excellent and the maintenance staff is very quick to respond to any work orders that I have placed. I have lived here for 3 years and plan to renew my lease again.
I had an okay experience here before the end of my lease. The apartments were mostly quiet, maintenance handled things for the most part. The apartments aren’t fantastic by any means, but we really liked living there. As our lease ended during a global pandemic, we were trying to communicate with the office about our options to go month to month vs. ending the lease. We never heard anything because they were out of office, so we just decided to solidify plans to leave. They are now forcing us to pay for August, even though we vacated on July 25th. and told them we were leaving when they returned to office, but because per our lease it says 60 days they said we were out of compliance. We provided a 45 day notice because again Covid-19 kept them from being in office to communicate with us and provide them that notice, and that wasn’t good enough. Now I’m stuck paying nearly $1000 for a month we weren’t there. It’s honestly sickening, we never missed rent, if we were late we communicated that and were happy to pay whatever late fee was taking place at that time. We were good, quiet, and honest tenants and none of that mattered.
I lived at Hibernia Apartments for 2 years, and the best the best way to summarize my residency was “mediocracy”. The obvious pro was the lower rent costs when you are browsing for apartments in the area. I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences with management. It also looks great from the outside in.Now onto the bad. Once you do settle in, you’ll notice you can hear literally everything. Your upstairs neighbor might as well be your roommate. If maintenance decides to rip out the carpet in the apartment above you for 2 months, you will live in a construction zone. I can also attest to a previous review about walls shaking with music/tv noise. Your neighbors are the deciding factor here. The apartments have undergone renovations (which we were forced to either live in the bedroom without water or leave for multiple days). This is no doubt so they can increase the rent from new tenants.Parking is another big issue here. Depending on where your specific unit is, you might only have a few parking spaces close by. There are separate lots which get entirely filled up on the weekends. In summary, if you want a cheaper apartment in this sub-standard area, and are willing to deal with minor to moderate inconveniences, Hibernia could be your next apartment community.
I want to start by stating very clearly that I am not one to write a review that is negative or many reviews generally speaking.I lived in Hibernia apartments for a year however I stayed in my home physically as little as possible after I was settled in.When I found Hibernia apartments I ignored not only reviews that were highly concerning but also red flags upon visiting the complex. I thought the units were so beautiful I just couldnt resist giving it a chance. It was so pretty.I also want to say although there will be a response to this feedback that makes it look like they are considerable and professional people, from my heart I needed to tell anyone considering moving here that this will not likely be what you experience when it comes to really living there. When it comes to needing them.In short I was very much harassed by an unstable neighbor and got little to no help. I did end up having to even call the police. I never got maintenance done, leaving the apartment with some of the same issues I started with. Some of these issues are things that would make having your everyday life very uncomfortable.I truly feel that a lot of these positive reviews are based on luck which anyone is willing to take that risk, I know that I did. However, if you find yourself in a unit that needs to be maintained or have something fixed I promise you, that you have a very stressful year ahead of you. The big windows and open space wont make up for it.Like I said, I am certain this reveiw will be met with a very professional response. Which is quite honestly insulting and not morally okay in my opinion. Keep this in mind when you choose to move here whether it be the beautiful windows, the updated aesthetics, or the new ownership (with whom my issues were very much relating to)Remember this and PLEASE write a review when you leave. Please take the time to let people know what they are getting themselves into.Good luck to anyone making the choice to select this for a future home. I truly hope you luck out with your draw, for me it was the worst place I have ever tired to make a home of. No savy response to this review will change what took place in the time I was there.
Loved our one bedroom, and the staff here. We chose a first floor because the patio walked out an the pool was outside our apartment. Maintenance is always quick to answer and fix our issues. Only issue we ever had was a few carpenter bees made it difficult to hang out on patio, but that was resolved!
As a current resident of Hibernia I was happy living here until my Ac went out. I put in a service request and was told that their was a long list of other tenants wanting for their Ac to be fixed so they had no idea how long the wait will be.I called to speak with the manager and I left a voicemail with my name and numbe . Havent heard anything other than receiving an email telling me my ac was fixed. Turns out they did not fix my ac. I have again but in a work order two weeks ago and still no response or resolution
This is my second time living at Hibernia. 1st time 7 years now I have been here 4. Like any apartment community it has its issues. I couldnt imagine living anywhere else. The manager and her staff are there for you.
First time seeing them to look kind of nice Yuppie Apartments you better have your stepping boots on cuz theres lots of steps
Very nice community! Friendly staff. Spacious rooms and lot of windows you can see those beautiful trees through. :)
Super expensive but nice place to live.
With everything going on in this crazy world at the moment, these guys have gone above and beyond what most would do. I was set to move out and ran into problems due to the virus and they have worked so hard to welcome me to stay as well as help with my needs. Levia Ortiz has been a dream in all this and made me feel much more at ease. Keep up the good work!
I previously lived here. Then it wasn’t bad. I accidentally had two packages sent to this complex and when I went to collect them, both were opened and my stuff was stolen out of them. And they had nothing to say.
Can not recommend Hibernia Apartments. Thankfully my lease is up and I can move out. The pro is rent is cheap. The apartments are nice and it is tucked away within a nice neighborhood but it’s very loud. My neighbor plays music so loud my walls vibrate and I called to complain many times. It was a couple of months before they sent a letter to my neighbor and they still continued to play their music and management didn’t do anything about it and weren’t accommodating at all. It is hard to get a hold of anyone because no one answers the phone nor returns my voicemails. Please, if you are looking to move here, ask about noise complaints or why the previous owner moved.
This place is a beautiful place to live with your family, really clean and no pest control problems.I was having troubles finding a place to live but LEVIA made my experience super fast and easy :)
The apartment are pricy but very spacious, the staff is amazing, the property manager makes sure you are satisfied with your unit ! Nice views from the 3rd floor units and very quiet ! I highly recommend if you want your monies worth come to hibernia !
Just renewed my lease here and I’m starting to regret it. Maintenance is horrible. I’ve put in service requests just to have them marked as completed when no one even came out to fix the problem. My a/c hasn’t been working properly since I moved here last summer. I’ve put in numerous service requests and talked to management and the most that was done is they changed the filter which didn’t help at all. It’s currently 80 degrees in my apartment. I have service requests that I put in two months ago that haven’t been looked at. Parking is also a complete nightmare. Oh yeah also my car has been broken into.
I have been at Hibernia almost two years and I loooooove it here. I am honestly not planning on leaving until I’m ready to buy a house. I love the office staff. The online portal is easy to use. I never really have maintenance request but I do they are here. I love that Hibernia apartment are not the same cookie cutter apartments that are all over Columbus. It’s different. I love being on the third floor with huge window and a deck. My neighbors below me are so sweet and friendly! I love the landscape and the trees, walking paths and even enjoy the family of deer that are always around! It’s is very quite back here. Which surprised me since we are backed up to the freeway! I highly recommend Hibernia to anyone wanting a great deal on rent and space!
I met so many awesome people who used to live here. their credit ruined now by those people who own this sorry place and managing the place with high maintenance and no attention to needs of people paying high rent and receiving nothing in return. Do you think not that much when you look at the grounds or the size of your new place. Wait, they are going to find away how to make you move out and keep your deposit. My friend had a leak from upstairs 3 times and then the maintenance old guy told her a sobbing story about owners and manager, like she suppose to feel for him getting paid for not doing anything because he can get away with it. After I saw the way she was treated, I decided not to move in to dump, and fight for limited parking and where you will be paying for anything besides rent, electricity, and parking. I am surprised that it is so many positive (more than 1 stars reviews). All people I spoke too felt sorry they did not read/believed negative postings.
When I first moved into hibernia it was a decent place to live for the price. Now i can no longer say that as rent rises higher and higher each year it was actually cheaper to buy a house. Parking is an absolute nightmare, service requests get marked as finished with nothing being done or even as much as a phone call saying why they did nothing. And now they decide that renovating the apartment a month before we move out is a great idea and will not budge on moving the renovation date and since I work night shifts and they are ripping out the kitchen and bathroom at 8am I will get no sleep at all for the next few days, perfect for driving a semi all night. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.
Nice apartments. Love the clubhouse!
Staff and neighbors are friendly. Lots of grass, trees, and beautiful views from the patio!
Im a current tenant and I have to say Ive loved my time here so far.I dont have enough nice things to say about everyone at the front office, but especially Ella. Shes exactly the type of person you want taking care of things and she really will go above and beyond to help the tenants here. An absolutely wonderful lady who really cares.Maintenance is right on top of things when you email them, too.Parking can be an issue but as long as youre not lazy and willing to walk a bit, youll be fine.I already have and will continue to recommend this apartment complex.
WORST PLACE TO LIVE EVER! The only thing nice about Hibernia is the grounds. The office staff is so bad! They are rude, they lie, and dont care about helping the renters at all. The parking is just crazy! There are not enough spaces for everyone! They make you get a parking pass but do nothing about the 12 extra cars without a pass. One building on Hibernia Drive has maybe 18 spots...better hope you get one or youll be parking at the top of the hill! Dont get a garage because people will park in front of them. The apartments are big and the rent is not bad. But you get what you pay for. Spend just a little more and youll be WAY happier.
I live there...Fantastic. Grounds crews are amazing. the apartments are very clean and bug free with the greatest bunch of neighbors you could ever want.I highly recommend Hibernia.Their staff in the office is personable and attentive.

****LONG REVIEW**** LONG REVIEW******I had to give Hibernia 3 stars for a couple reasons but I first want to Thank Levia (sorry if i spelled it wrong) for her patience and just being very thorough with my move in. I came to her upset and she did everything she could to turn it around for me and was successful. I had a little situation where I was very emotional and she was understanding. And overall I give Levia 10 stars if I could. She represents Hibernia well from what I experienced. Now I will get into why I rated Hibernia 3 stars. First I want to start off by saying I was given a move in date. When I came to do the leasing and get my keys on my move in date....the workers of Hibernia were still moving things out my Apt and getting it ready shall I say. I was also told I had a renovating unit so I would be getting new appliances and the workers would be back out to install the appliances on a later date. I accepted this but I was disappointed because I really didn’t want anyone in my home while I’m at work, being that I work the same hours as the maintenance workers probably, I just gave permission for them to get enter my home to complete the job so it won’t be delayed. But I was honestly thinking like this should have been done before even moving in a tenant. I had got approved like 3 weeks before my move in date so I feel like my apartment should have been cleaned and ready COMPLETELY by time I moved in. Apartments want their rent on time but cant even have my apartment ready for me on time. But I didnt cause an issue about it because Levia did everything quickly, professionally, and efficiently so I didnt want to complain over such an issue that was probably out of her control and raising an issue about it wasn’t going to fix the fact that my apartment wasn’t completely ready. Thats one reason for the 3 star reviewA second reason for the 3rd star review is when the first time stepping into my apartment. There were a set of keys in the door and the door was left open. Luckily the apartment was empty. After I moved all my belongings in my home...I attempted to lock the door and the door wouldn’t lock. Both keys wouldnt lock the door and the keys that was left in the door didn’t lock my door. So at this point I’m tired exhausted and frustrated because I then had to call the after hr maintenance line. I waited about 30-45 mins for someone to come, and he stated he had to change the locks. Again this should have been done before my move in. It was a slight inconvenience for me to wait on maintenance to come.In regards to the apartment itself, I love it. Its spacious and I can really see myself living here for quite awhile. A little bit pricey BUT rent is going up everywhere around columbus so I cant complain too much about that.I love the fact that hibernia offers tenants a free gym membership . One thing I would like to mention Hibernia charges for EVERYTHING, water, trash, pest control, parking space, electric, gas, Thats something that I didnt care for either. But over all I think I will enjoy Hibernia. Thanks again Levia
Rented an apartment there for a year in 2013.-1. It took them a month to fix a musty smell in one of our bathrooms. They at first didnt think there was a problem, even though you could smell must outside of the door. There was a leaking pipe that caused the smell. The staff was not very helpful and avoided us.-2. Parking is a hassle. There isnt enough spaces in front of some apartment buildings. Many spots were taken by people that did not even have parking passes. Hibernia did put out notices that they were going to punish people parking without passes, but we never saw anyone get actual warnings or towed. We got a garage to avoid some of these issues, but then people started parking in front of garages.-3. The water company you have to use is owned by the same company as the apartment complex, Oakwood Management, and they are just reselling it from the actual water company in the area at a higher rate.-4. The walls are thin, you can really hear your neighbors.-5. Be prepared to hear cars blasting loud music in the complex.-6. You might not be able to get out of the complex when it snows, theres a steep hill and cars will often get stuck.-7. The dumpster outside of our apartment was set on fire.-8. Beware of raccoons at night, they like to get into the dumpsters.-9. We could smell pot from the neighbor smoking it below us. The walls are so thin it smelled like it was coming from out apartment.
Very nice apartments with a friendly community.
I first want to say I am under a relative account doing this review as I am currently a resident and would rather not my name be shown. I just want to say so far I provide 3 stars due to the fact I am made aware the cameras on the property do not work and parking is a hassle. Also, alot of these apartment websites are not kept updated so when I applied im thinking water is included in the rent and it wasnt its based upon usage. These so far are the reasons for my 3 stars. Not expecting hibernia to be perfect but the camera situation would be a safety issue as well finding a parking spot. If i cant find a parking spot close to my residence and I get home from work at 1-2am that could definitely be a safety issue especially since it is stated there is a patrol officer but there’s not. Also when someone is looking to rent an apartment you can bet their first search would be on google 9/10. So if these websites are providing misleading information potential residents are being mislead as well.
Great place to live. Beautiful scenery, adorable wildlife (deer regularly wander the ground, plus birds and squirrels galore), sizeable apartments with multiple layouts, office responds to issues and maintenance requests quickly, and theres a Pokestop in the middle of the place. Utilities seem a little old (pipes clog easily, heating and cooling are wonky occasionally).
Went to visit my son.
Pros:I really loved the size of my apartment, it was very spacious. I had the larger 2 bedroom apt. I loved the big windows and the view. The location was a plus; being right next to the freeway. Being able to pay your rent online is very Convienant. No bugs or mice issues and maintenance was quick to respond to work orders.Cons: I hated parking due to there never being a parking spot available. No grace period on rent! They charge a $50 late fee if rent is not paid by the 1st.There are a lot of wood bees in the summer surrounding the buildings(known as carpenter bees) 🐝🐝🐝Pool is SUPER small and always packed with people who don’t even live there.Outdated appliances.***I would love to see them update the appliances and flooring since the rent is higher than most apartments in the area and it increases every year. Also a second pool is needed due to the fact that it is a large complex. And the free gym memebership would be great if it was a closer gym. Like planet fitness or Crush fitness... just saying.
Very misleading security advertised, the cameras posted dont work and also their is never any officers patrolling the premises as they claim them to be. The parking is tremendous they issue these faulty parking passes upon signing of the lease for them to not be worth more than leaves falling from the trees. Theyre invaluable you pay all this money for rent $800/mo to have to walk 2 blocks to your apartment and you own a vehicle. The visitors are supposed to have a reserved area to park so the tenants can park closer to their residence but instead they park where ever and the leasing office has refused to do anything about it. so the security to be able to glance out the window to see your vehicle has been compromised. Ensuring the safety of yourself and your vehicle for that matter being you have to walk from a long distance with no security but your cellphone.
I love the bedroom Closet mirror, the tile in the kitchen is very nice, the fluffy carpet is nice ...u can lay on the floor and it would be comfortable and the storage comes in hand for all my extra shoes.. As far as staff goes theyre great ppl very involved with the public.. the maintenance is awesome..stonecrest is a nice place to call home
Started off decent and quickly became horrible. You have to beg for repairs to be fixed, you hear everything and parking is a nightmare. Not worth the money at all anymore.
Loud noises all night. They need to start doing a psychological profiling for the maniacs they allow to live here. My neighbor upstairs might’ve escaped a psych ward for he screams to himself and bangs on the floor all day and night and management won’t do anything about it after i’ve complainEd 3 times. Stay away! This place is way overpriced for what it is.
I came back to Hibernia apartments because I enjoyed staying there in the past. This time my stay was awful. Due to the ventilation systems being connected to the neighbors, I ended up being sick for 4 to 5 months until I had to vacant the premises.I had to deal with smoking of some type of smelly substance that came through my vents and caused my apartment and clothing to smell bad all the time. I called the police and spoke with Management who both expressed to me that its not illegal because the substance making me sick and smelling up my home wasnt enough for them to worry about after their inspection. I was very disappointed in their lack of concern for my health and well being. So I pass along a word of advice, anyone with Asthma or children do not move in to any apartments with the number starting with 568 or you will end up being sick like I was and having to spend hundreds of dollars for medical care. Which they did not reimburse me for by the way! With that said, the apartments are nice, but I just got stuck with a bad apple as they say and had to leave. After all I have been through, I wont be returning again
Horrible management and people skills. They have no idea what they’re doing.
Terrible, cameras dont work. My fiancé almost got robbed coming home, instead they shot him. Cameras didnt record anything, dont even work. Multiple cars get broken into, my car has been broken into. Absolutely noooo parking . My sink got messed up the pipes, it created a bunch of gnats after they were supposed to fix the problem. End up having a gnat infestation that I had to clean up on my own, because they told me to just run water. I dont think thats how that supposed to go. Used to be a nice place to live but now it is very ghetto.
Beautiful place, I didnt have enough income but if I did, Id be there now.
Mid scale apartments, shaded parking, gated area without security.
Love it here and the rental office is great
Bad management.... wouldn’t give me my deposit . Charged me for garage damages I did not do and rent I paid . Had to take them to small claims to handle this situation . I would not recommend anybody to live here
You can hear everything your neighbor does. We recently moved to hibernate And regret moving here! My neighbors heater/ac makes so much noise all day and night that my wife and i cant even sleep because of that!
I lived here a yr or so ago & hated it. The apartments, neighborhood & parking sucked. It’s noisy & unsafe. DO NOT LIVE HERE
Renting here until a property of mine is available to move back into. Have not been in an apartment in 20 years so I did a ton of research on many apartment complexes and Hibernia offers more sq. feet and landscape beauty for the money than anything I reviewed. The staff; unlike other reviews stated, has been awesome not only with the setting up of my lease but also any maintenance needs. Every morning I wake, I see a crew of grounds keepers blowing leaves off the sidewalks and roads and this winter they have been out in the cold plowing and shoveling before residents leave for work. The only true concern I had with moving in Hibernia was a few reviews by others discussing being able to hear neighbors easily. That is NOT the case, I do not hear my neighbors and hopefully they dont hear me! Thanks Hibernia for an awesome place to wake up to each morning, I truly feel like I live outside of Columbus in a wooded environment and am right next to I-270! I also like the fact that this land has some pretty cool history.
Well everything was fine until the broke in to my husbands car and got some item stolen; a computer his radio and a bat, and with it the burglar broke my brother in laws window and stole his radio too. And that was living there a month when it happened. AND WHAT DID THEY DO? NOTHING. Aah yeah just right now there is not parking spots to park if you get out of work late or if you want to go out please dont, you wont have a parking spot to park, OOH AND PLEASE DONT PARK AT THE END OF A PARKING SPOT THAT MEANS YOU ARE PARKING IN FRONT OF A GARAGE AND CAN OBSTRUCT THE WY OF PEOPLE COMING OUT OF THE GARAGE, SINCE THEY ARE SO FAT THAT CANNOT GET OUT OF THERE, THEN THE WILL TOW YOUR CAR AND MIGHT HAVE TO;1) TRY TO FIGURE OUT IF IT WAS STOLEN OR TOWED 2) TRY TO FIGURE OUT WERE IS THE CAR 3) AFTER THEY TELL YOU IT WAS TOWED THEN DRIVE TO SEE TO WHAT COMPANY THE ACTUALLY TOOK IT, SINCE THE FIRST ONE DID NOT HAVE IT. 4) THEN PAY $109.65 TO GET YOU FREAKING CAR OUT. NOW MY QUESTION IS, WHERE THE HECK IM GONNA PARK AFTER ILL GET OUT FROM WORK MISTER OWNER OF HIBERNIA???? CUZ MY CAR DOES NOT FLOAT..... SO IT DOESNT MATTER IF YOU PAY YOURE APARTMENT ON TIME OF BEFORE IS DUE LIKE WE DO, YOU MIGHT HAVE TO GET UP EARLY AND CHECK YOUR CAR TO SEE IF IT STILL IN THERE.. 5) THE REFRIGERATOR HAVE BEEN LEAKING WE POSTED IT AND STILL HANST COME FIX IT.IT IS REALLY SPACIOUS AND THE PRICE IS OK, BUT TO GO THROUGH ALL THIS CRAP I DONT THINK IS WORTH IT...........
That area is getting a little rough
Nice neighborhood
People are packed in like sardines
To small
Confusing
Bed bugs!!!!
